MAR 28: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE/GOALS TIPS

Goal_Tips_888Sport

THIS weekend I’m taking one Euro 2016 qualifier, one game from England and one from Scotland in my bid to land a both to score treble.

First up it’s the Group A tie between Kazakhstan and Iceland. The away team are in good form but look a little short at evens at best with bet365 for the long trip east.

However, everything points to goals at both ends. Kazakhstan have lost 3-1 to Turkey and Holland and 4-2 to Czech Republic in their last three outings while both have scored in Iceland’s last four.

The islanders have in fact have netted 10 in six games but conceded home and away to Canada, let in two in Prague and three in Brussels.

The English game I’ve lined up is Bradford v Oldham. Bradford’s last three league games have been score draws and they also conceded three at Reading in the FA Cup.

Oldham tend to blow hot and cold but have netted in their last six. They surprised many with a 3-0 romp over Rochdale in midweek and have won back-to-back games after losing three in a row during which time they conceded eight times.

Another League One game that looks great going by stats but not form is Bristol City v Barnsley. Three of the last five meetings have finished 5-3, 3-3 and 5-3 and it was 2-2 when they met earlier this season. However, I’m put off by the fact last week’s JP Trophy winners City have four successive clean sheets. So will the name Barnsley strike fear into the minds of their defenders?

Complete the treble with Raith v Hibs. The Easter Road side let us down last week as they were outsmarted by Rangers. I expect Alan Stubbs’s side to bounce back with a better display even the away looks a bit short at around 1-2.

Raith notched one of their best results of the season as they beat Queen of the South 3-0 in midweek but will do well to shut out the Hibees who have won three of their last four trips to Kirkcaldy by a 3-1 scoreline. And all three meetings between the sides this season have saw both hit the target.

Both to score treble

Kazakhstan v Iceland (7.45pm)
Bradford v Oldham (3pm)
Raith v Hibs (3pm)
(7-1, 888sport)

Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs believes Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Rangers could be a “blessing in disguise” for his side.
Rangers had previously lost all three league games against Hibs this season, but goals from Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller gave them a first win under new manager Stuart McCall.
Both sides could meet again over two legs in the Premiership play-offs.
“I think it could be what they [the players] needed, I really do,” Stubbs told BBC Scotland.
“Sunday was a blip. It wasn’t the wheels falling off.

I think we can expect an avalanche from Hibs after their ‘blessing in disguise’. Don’t suppose it is possible to simply admit it was a defeat? If Cummings is back I see him scoring.
