ANDY MURRAY and Heather Watson are bidding to do Britain proud on Friday at the Miami Masters.

The British No.1s are both in second-round action and Murray is gunning for a repeat of his recent Davis Cup demolition of Donald Young. The Scot is 1-3 to progress in straight sets against the American who has lost four of their five meetings.

Watson struggled past world No.96 Evgeniya Rodina in round one – only the second time she has won a match in Miami – and will need to raise her game against Angeqlique Kerber, who won their only previous meeting in three sets at Wimbledon last year.

Watson is 10-7 at 888sport while the German is 13-20 at Winner and over 2.5 sets pays 11-8 at Paddy Power.

There’s plenty other second-round clashes with Jelena Jankovic v Victoria Azarenka catching the eye while the likes of Stan Wawrinka, Bernard Tomic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are all in action in the men’s singles.

Elsewhere there’s snooker, cycling, rugby league and a packed NBA card so post your sporting tips and chat here and good luck with your bets.

    Morning guys,

    Cycling: E3 Harelbeke 2015

Another hard day on the cobblestones in Flanders today (starts at 11.00). Below you will find my thoughts, I have gone with my favourites for this race: Vanmarcke, Stybar and Thomas.

    THOMAS v Roelandts
    STYBAR v Terpstra
    Double @ 2.44 with 365

Thomas is on great form and was 3rd last year, I can see him and his team mate Stannard make it to the final selection. Roelandts looks ok, but I can’t see him beat an inform Thomas.

Stybar and Terpstra are team mates and I think they see Stybar as there strongest rider. Terpstra was not good is Wednesday Dwars door Vlaanderen race and with the roads being muddy and slippery I think Stybar’s technic (as an ex world champion in cyclocross) make him favourite for this race.

    Finishing place 1-3 @ 2.25 with 888sport

Vanmarcke was the strongest at the Omloop and very good at Strade Bianche. Not his kind of terrain, but he showed his good form on the gravel roads of Strade Bianche as long as he could. A flat tyre at the Omloop cost him his place at the front, but he did an impressive chase and I fully expect him at the best tomorrow.

GERAINT THOMAS EW @ 16.00 with WH

As I said above he is the man in form and I think he has a good chance to be on the podium today.

  6. Harry 3 years ago

Just checked through all the stats and New Zealand average 105 runs after 15 overs and Australia average 87 runs. When the 2 sides played each other 3 weeks ago in the pool stages, Australia hit 87 runs from the first 15 overs and New Zealand hit 108 in reply.

    New Zealand v Australia

    Highest 1st 15 overs – New Zealand

    1/1 Bet365

Boys just for the record that isn’t a Huggy/Jordan SS. Haven’t even spoken about tonights games have just posted the same bet. Hopefully a good sign.

  16. Juan 3 years ago

Jordan I think its a better sign that without conferring you both posted the same bet – and posted it very early so thatll do for me!

  17. Jordan 3 years ago

    Smaller Bets for tonight.

    Nets/Cavs Over 197.5
    Spurs/Mavs Over 196.5
    Grizzlies/Warriors Over 188.5

    just under 13/10 @ Skybet

    Raptors/Lakers Over 192.5
    Magic/Pistons Over 188.5

    just under 3/1 @ Skybet

    £10 Bonkers Bet

All 5 to go OVER their totals.

    Nets/Cavs 207.5
    Spurs/Mavs 206.5
    Magic/Pistons 197
    Raptors/Lakers 203.5
    Grizzlies/Warriors 198.5

    just under 25/1 @ 365

Bear in mind I’ll still profit if my SS wins so if you’re going to follow then follow with small stakes.

  18. Jordan 3 years ago

Shotty, no I put it up early because I think it’ll go over 200 anyway so if it did rise then it wouldn’t matter :)

    Juan, hopefully mate.

  19. Harry 3 years ago

Josh I had a look through all the stats for total boundaries and at this ground there have been 4 matches. In those 4 there have been 66, 53, 65, & 51 boundaries. So it’s a little bit risky but the 2 games that saw less that 54, they were quite one sided games and I can’t see this one being one sided so it should come in. I’m not posting it but the over 54.5 boundaries would be my NB for anyone interested

  20. josh 3 years ago

Cheers for the info on both yours and that bet anyway so fingers crossed

Afternoon Guys, Super League Hull KR v ST Helens

The SKY game comes from Craven Park as Hull KR face the Champions St Helens. They both have huge derbies next week but neither can take their eye off the ball here. Saints are unbeaten and are giving up 8pts at 11/10 Bet365.

Both these teams are dealing with injuries, Hull KR coach Chris Chester is without Greg Burke, while Liam Salter and Ben Cockayne are doubtful. St Helens coach Keiron Cunningham is without Joe Greenwood, Paul Wellens, Johnny Lomax and Luke Walsh.

Only Leeds have scored more points than these two sides this season, Saints have scored 173 while the Robins have scored 166. The big difference is in defence with Saints conceding just 87 compared to KR 176pts. Hull KR have won 3 of the last 5 meetings against Saints and at home Saints have never beaten the Robins since 2007.

Despite the stats I fancy Saints to win tonight. I think they will bully the Robins up the middle and will dominate their decimated pack. I was hoping to only give up 4 to 6 points and I can on the alternative handicap but at 11/10 I will give up 8pts. Saints have pace out wide and the Robins defence as I mentioned earlier is conceding too many points.

In the try scorer market Makinson and Swift are obvious choices but by taking Saints on the handicap I will be happy to see them score, so instead I want to be with a player who offers some value and that is Centre Jordan Turner who as scored five times already this season and is 7/4 Betfred. Anyone looking for a KR scorer needs to be on Ken Sio 11/10 Skybet.

I am taking a punt on a big priced try scorer as a longshot and this ISNT a tip more of a player who could be over priced given how the game I hope will go. As I mentioned Saints will roll down the middle with their huge pack and with James Roby darting out of dummy half and ex Robins Stand Off Travis Burns pulling the strings I can see a forward crashing over from close range, and I will be on Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook at 9/2 William Hill. He scored last week against Warrington who defence is better than the Robins, and with the Saints having plenty of attacks inside KR 20m, I will take big LMS to score.

ST HELENS -8pts TO WIN 11/10

    Longshot punt

Good luck if your having a bet

  25. thechief 3 years ago

    Super League try scorers

There are three non televised games on the card tonight but the one game that could provide value is the game at the DW Stadium between the struggling Wigan Warriors and Wakefield Wildcats. Wakefield struggles are no surprise as most people knew they would struggle this season while Wigan have not really performed at all this year.

I can see Wigan running up the tries tonight ahead of the Good Friday Derby. They have scored 36pts in four out the five wins they have over Wakefield and the game they lost they scored 28pts. I will be taking two try scorers at good odds rather than taking Burgess and Manfredi at odds on. (Both could be added to any acca’s if you like)

Dan Sarginson is a player I mentioned last week, and I have no doubt this classy Centre will be playing international rugby for England at the end of the season, in a game were Wigan will be getting the ball through the hands and attacking the wide areas he looks good value at 7/4 Coral to score. My second selection is Liam Farrell who as scored 5 in 5 games against the Wildcats and again if Wigan score a few tries he could be involved in the scoring and looks good value at 9/5 Paddy Power.

Good luck if your having a bet

  26. Harry 3 years ago

Good luck Josh mate I’m just hoping for an exciting final and it should be as long as mccullum doesn’t go too early. Got nz antepost so I’ll let that run and enjoy the game

  27. JimJams 3 years ago

Almagro to win first set against Nada @ 3/1 with William Hill.

Heather Watson to beat Angelique Kerber @ 6/5 with William Hill.

  28. Juan 3 years ago

Any thoughts on tonight’s tennis AD? I notice Tsonga is around 1/2 to beat Smyczek I assume this is due to Tsonga not having played this year? If he’s fit surely he wins easy?

Im also on Jordan and Huggys GSW Memphis overs..they both picked it thats good enough i think..hope Memphis defence is a bit slacker.

  34. Shotty 3 years ago

Im on the GSW overs bet also going to post my own and its a first half total points double,

GSW game over 95.5 and Cavs game over 100.5 the double pays 5/4 @SkyBet

Good luck tonight lets hope the teams score for fun!

    Evening Guys Super league

    ST HELENS -8pts 11/10 LOST :(

Nice priced winners and I was close to landed all three bets on England inside 20mins but Rooney foiled me. I cant complain very profitable night, could have been even better but I blame Jordan’s gravatar haha! :)

  36. Shotty 3 years ago

Thechief great picks with the anytime try scorers will look out for your tips on these again mate

    • thechief 3 years ago

Shotty, cheers mate. Stats show Saints don’t win at KR, but I fancied them due to recent form, the old adage stats v recent form.

  37. Attila 3 years ago

    – Atlanta Hawks -8.5 @ $1.92 (10 points) vs Miami

    – Houston Rockets -13.0 @ $1.92 (10 points) vs Minnesota

It’s Miami’s 4th road game in 6 days, and whilst they had a good win over the Celtics last time out I don’t think they’ll get near a much fresher Hawks side in Atlanta.

As for the Rockets, I see a nice blow-out win today against a Timberwolves team who are shocking on the road when they aren’t struggling with injuries, but they are fairly banged up at the present and an in-form Rockets with their great offence should take it to them today.

    GL anyone who follows!

BTW – my Milwaukee Bucks ML tip posted yesterday was a ***WIN***. But my College Basketball tip was a big loss…

  38. paul 3 years ago

I think the GSW match will finish 100-100 lol so going on over 198

  39. Attila 3 years ago

@ Shotty – don’t know what happened with the Bunnies yesterday…guess they needed a reality check that they wont just win the premiership unopposed.

  40. Jordan 3 years ago

Haha you love the gravatar chief! Was a good night though. Quite a difficult Euro card tomorrow I find. Scratching my head so much on Holland to score twice that I’m going bald.

  41. Jordan 3 years ago

Well four of us think the Warriors game will go over 198.5 so that must mean it’s going to lose haha, good luck lads.

  42. tomekplnd 3 years ago

Jordan I was surprised you haven’t mentioned anything about the Magic – Pistons game, defo has potential for a high scoring game.

  43. Attila 3 years ago

My Aussie NRL Tips for today:

    – Penrith Panthers WIN @ $2.02 (vs Newcastle)

    – Gold Coast Titans +6.0 @ $1.92 (vs Cronulla)

Whilst Newcastle are undefeated from 3 games they havn’t really been tested by any quality sides and have actually had come comeback from a deficit at halftime in 2 of those games. The Panthers are a much better side and I think they slightly have the edge here. (NOTE: If possible, keep in mind to CASH-OUT if the Panthers are ahead at any stage from the 70th Minute mark.)

As for the Titans, well they are back to full strength and have the ‘Road Warrior’ tag in the NRL as season after season they tend to win away from home no dramas but rarely win a home game. Not sure who would touch the Sharks at the moment, especially at such short odds. I think Titans will win this outright but with a 6 point start I think this is a safe a bet as any.

    GL if your on!

  44. Shotty 3 years ago

Thechief it was a good game thought they were going to pinch a point too would of been undeserved though!

Attila mate cant believe the Rabbits didnt cover the handicap never mind lose was not expecting that! I’ll be on your tips for the later games though

  45. mlac 3 years ago

    cavs -5.5
    Hawks -4

  46. thechief 3 years ago

Haha least you will save on a comb. Not finalised my night games yet but I do fancy the overs in that game mate.

  47. Attila 3 years ago

Hawks are up for it today, bigtime :-) Hope it stays this way!

  48. tomekplnd 3 years ago

Oh I see, just thought you’d highlight the tip a bit more.

  49. Trucker 3 years ago

Mr Orange I was on your bets and was most pleased with Geraint Thomas….superb tipping sir…I love it :)

  50. Jordan 3 years ago

It was a close second tom I just fancied the big scoring Warriors to help bring in the low overs in their game instead.

    • Jordan 3 years ago

I say second but Cavs/Nets would have probably been my second choice.

  51. jazza bairn 3 years ago

    Jordan got a treble on
    Over 198 gsw game
    Rockets minus 13.5
    Hawks minus 8

Looks ok so far fingers crossed

  52. Jordan 3 years ago

Yeah looking good at the moment jazza.

Those of you on the Spurs the other night take a look at their score. Payback for Dallas. Pr*cks haha

  53. Attila 3 years ago

    Harden on 29 points…only 3rd quarter…awesome.

  54. Jordan 3 years ago

He had like 28 in the first half when I was on his prop bet last week Attila. Still think Westbrook might snatch MVP.

  55. Dylan 3 years ago

Does Inplay bet on overs cover overtime?

  56. Shotty 3 years ago

m on the GSW overs bet also going to post my own and its a first half total points double,

GSW game over 95.5 and Cavs game over 100.5 the double pays 5/4 @Skybet

Good luck tonight lets hope the teams score for fun!

**Won*** GSW points looking decent too come on!

  57. Jordan 3 years ago

Well lets hope the Warriors don’t hold up as the Grizzlies look like they can’t be f*cked right now!

  58. Attila 3 years ago

Rockets need to get serious now if they are going to cover….pretty poor the last few mins!

  59. Jordan 3 years ago

    This total is looking dire.

  60. Shotty 3 years ago

Grizzlies have given up! Going to stick to the half time markets teams dont give up so early, gutting though as it was looking good at one point

  61. Attila 3 years ago

Cant believe Rockets keep letting T’wolves back into it. They actually look like they are struggling to score against them now…

  62. Jordan 3 years ago

Not so much given up Shotty they’ve lost Jeff Green due to a hamstring injury which is bad enough but I’m not sure if Conley is on the court either.

  63. Jordan 3 years ago

Think my Warriors 9/2 for the Championship is going to be a nice payout mind.

  64. Jordan 3 years ago

Well it got closer than I thought it was going to be thanks to the splash brothers but not close enough. That 16 point 3rd quarter for the Grizzlies was the killer.

    Warriors/Grizzlies Over 198.5 Points @ 10/11 @ Various **LOSE** 191

That’ll be me boys until playoffs.

  65. jazza_bairn 3 years ago

that was hard to take was waiting on total for 350
    ah well

  66. Attila 3 years ago

Damn Rockets! Season high 3 pointers, plus a heap of other records broken. Score 120 points but only win by 10. Shocking defense. Let down my 2nd single…argh!
