I SUGGESTED some bets on Thursday but didn't put any up as top tips.
Ivory Coast were the side I fancied most and they celebrated their African Nations Cup success with a win against Angola.
There were shocks with Iran beating Chile and Qatar taking care of Algeria and well done to those who backed over 2.5 goals at France v Brazil.
My 10pt Thursday daily stake is on England to win to nil on Friday and while I was tempted to take the same bet today I'm instead suggesting six points on England -2 which allows me 2pts for the Top Treble and 2pts for a goals single.
I can't see England conceding against shot-shy Lithuania and I expect Roy Hodgson's men to win by two or three goals so hopefully both singles will land to get me back on track. A separate England-Lithunia preview will be posted later.
Spain are unbeaten in 29 matches at home and are just 3-10 with McBookie to win in Seville. Strikers Diego Costa and Paco Alcacer are out so Juventus star Alvaro Morata will lead the line and he is 4-1 at Coral to break the deadlock.
Switzerland should beat Estonia in England's group by at least two and back Sweden away to Moldova with Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to be on the scoresheet.
Elsewhere I've been looking at the League of Ireland games and like the top two, Dundalk (7.35pm) and Shamrock Rovers (8pm), at home to Sligo and Bohemians respectively. Cork (Sat, 7.45pm) can be added at Bray for a treble that pays 3-1 at bet365 – if your betting bank stretches that far.
Dundalk have won their last two at home to Sligo 3-0 and their last two matches by the same score. Sligo's last five competitive matches have seen both score – three of them going over 2.5 goals.
There have been some inaccurate comments about “chasing losses”. That's something I never do or advise – my tips are to level stakes whether they're all on one bet or spread over a variety of bets.

Rico, the best price is 5/6 mate and is quite possible but there is not a single game tonight that I personally would back other than to have an interest in. If you are wanting a bet on this game then consider Austria Over 2.5 at 5/4 or Over 3.5 match goals at 9/4 which would both be very close to your original bet but at better odds.

Jordan – Got to be likely, Sturridge is missing the game through injury so it only really leaves Welbeck and Rooney. Based on form Kane should start up top with Rooney, I get it will be his full international debut but it’s not expected to be a tough game so I can’t see a reason for him to come on as a sub late in the game. Plus there was that supposed team sheet leak that was in the papers earlier this week which also had Rooney and Kane up top.

Am a little put off with handicap for england against lithuania. Theyve only conceeded more than 2 goals in a game 8 out of 42 games. Chip, the goalscorer double is my only tip as such although all are possible. Any odds on ones are basically agreeing with the bookies who say they will happen so are not tips but simple pointers to what I see as best off a bad lot.
Chip, it takes no skill or ability to tip an odds on shot as the bookies have done all the work for you in pricing it at these odds unless you believe a quote is way to long and should be much shorter, skill and ability comes from being able to find odds against winners which are the bookies opinions on what is less likely to happen.
raaljaca, there are still plenty of odds-on losers so avoiding them is a skill in itself. It’s funny – last week I was criticised for not putting up shorter singles and now people are questioning a short-priced one. As I said to you it’s impossible to please everyone. Right, Saturday columns are written so off to finish the pages then have a busy night on the desk.
Absolutely correct Mr F and it is the odds on losers that make getting back into profit harder. A winner and a loser at evens or above is break even at worst where as the same occurrence with odds on means guaranteed loss if level stakes are applied.

Raal – I see what you are saying about tipping odds-on outcomes as tips… But the way I see it is the bookies put a probability % on the likelihood of an outcome, say 60%. They will then add on a few % points to their margins, taking it to say 64% and put that out as their odds (1.56).
IF… you can then see valid reasons (statistics for me) for the outcome probability to be greater eg. 68% or odds 1.47 surely it is a good value bet and worthy of being both tipped and bet on.
Personally though, I always tend to follow your picks that are close to evens and above as I just don’t have the capital to profit from short odds!
