Mar 24: Jordan’s Sports Tips & Chat

Jordans_SportsTips

ALJAZ BEDENE’S dream of playing for Britain in the Davis Cup lies in tatters after he lost his appeal yesterday.

The naturalised British tennis star has been left reeling by the ITF’s decision and now must try to get his head straight for his Miami Open first-round clash this afternoon.

Bedene is ranked almost 60 places higher than his opponent, world No.114 Roberto Carballes Baena, and is 2-7 at Paddy Power to make the second round, with the Spaniard 3-1 at bet365.

The women’s Miami action features the likes of former Grand Slam winners Ana Ivanovic and Petra Kvitova as they look to avoid an early exit.

In the Super League, Castleford play host to Leeds and the Premier League darts reaches the penultimate week, with our man @lockuptipster’s top tips available here.

There’s also a handful of NBA games and Jordan will add his picks below. Good luck with all your bets and let’s hear your sporting tips and chat.

Balls, just clicked the wrong thing and bet on 1st quarter spread on the Bulls game rather than 1st half spread! Note to self, CHECK BEFORE YOU CLICK PLACE BET :)

No bullets dodged tonight. In fact, I think I took a whole clip!

Bulls go down to the Knicks at home even with Rose, Butler and Gasol. Next up? The Knicks in New York haha

Well done to the winners. I imagine Raoul came out on top but haven’t looked through all his picks. Back later today.

What a finish in Denver! A 0.1 second half court shot from Mudiay, way to win me £20!!

Cycling: Tour of Catalunya stage 4

Very hard mountain stage today, the final climb is 18km long with the finish on 1900m.

    Match-up:
Uran to beat Rodriguez @ 1.95 with WH

Too much question marks around Rodriguez. He was ill a couple of weeks ago and haven’t had any good results yet this season. Uran did ok in yesterday’s stage and was close in the mountain stage in Algarve. Other bookies have this one the other way round.

    Match-up:
Zakarin to beat Dan Martin @ 1.60 with 888

Price is a bit short. Martin did great yesterday at a finish which really suited him. Today will be a lot harder for him and I can’t see him beating Zakarin who is riding with the best at the moment. Zakarin also won the hard mountain stage in Paris-Nice.

Smaller stake on the double @ 3.06 with WH

Haven’t seen any College basketball tips here in a while, and it being the playoffs and all thought I’d get in on the action.
After some careful research, here are my NCAA Basketball tips for tonight:

    4 pts Double – Kansas (1/3) ; Villanova (8/15). Pays around evens.
    2 pts Double – Texas A&M +3 ; Duke +3. Pays 5/2.
    2 pts Texas A&M win 7/5.
    2 pts Duke win 29/20.

Prices are at , as they’re slightly better than Paddy Power. You might find better prices elsewhere, but I prefer the brick-and-mortar bookies and these two are local to me.
    Good Luck All.

5 selections last night, 4 winners, but unfortunately Bulls -4 was in all three :( Once again burned by an under-performing East team.

Like I said Bulls playing Knicks on b2b so I bet they smash it tonight based on ‘sods law’.

Bulls could be my main bet this evening…. not 100% sure yet, but im thinking they bounce back and revenge tonight.

Just like Portland did last night..

tomekplnd so glad I wasn’t the only one who witnessed hat finish in Denver!! I needed 1 more point in that game and when Phila only made 1 of them free throws I was raging!

Less than a second on the clock and that half court goes in, unbelievable night 😄

Well done to all winners once again and thanks for the great tips on this sport that has lined my pockets very nicely these last 5 months!!

I’m locking this is now before the line drifts further..

    Chicago Bulls -5 @ 1.86 (Bet 365) – 2 Points.

I can’t see the Bulls losing back to back games against NY Knicks.. they really need the wins to stay in the play off race.

    Good luck.

    Cycling: E3 Harelbeke 2016 (Friday)

    Match-up:
Boom to beat Kwiatkowski @ 2.40 with 888

This price is way too big. Kwiatkowski’s team Sky have 2 better riders than him at the start with Stannard and Rowe. Kwiatkowski hasn’t done much cobblestone races in the past and I can’t see him competing with the best here. Boom is a specialist on this kind of terrain and is the team leader for team Astana and is expected to do well. I will also be raining in the morning causing wet and greasy roads, something Boom loves as an ex cyclo cross World champion.

Will have some more bets on E3 later on.

    Cycling: E3 Harelbeke 2016 (Friday)

    Peter Sagan for a place 1-3 @ 2.00 with 888

I think (and hope) he will win this race. He is in amazing form and his worst result in his last 9 races on the highest level in pro cycling is 12th. Believe me, that’s insane. He was 2nd in 2013 and won this race in 2014. He had a bad start to 2015, but became World champion in the end and started the new season on that same level.

    Premier League Darts week 8

Taylor vs Wright – highest checkout score over 119.5 5/6 **NAP** Bet365 WON

Anderson vs Chisnall – most 180’s Chisnall 19/20 **NB** Boylesports WON

Smith vs Thornton – Smith highest checkout & win match 2/1 Paddypower LOST

Taylor vs Wright – over 6.5 total 180’s 1/1 Skybet LOST

Van Gerwen vs Thornton – Van Gerwen average over 106.5 5/6 Paddypower LOST

Was one short on the total 180’s in Taylor vs Wright with Taylor only hitting a single maximum whilst MVG was just not on it tonight, it was the first time since week one his average dipped below 100. Credit to Thornton he’s given himself a fighting chance of surviving next week on judgement night.

Any reason why the handicap spread on the chicago game is dropping?
