Mar 18: Johnb’s Cheltenham Day 4 Tips

THE punters had a field day at Cheltenham on Thursday and Johnb led the way with his 20-1 antepost tip Whistlecrack storming home.

He also had a 16-1 winner with Mall Dini and Limini at 8-11 and it was great to see plenty of you bash the bookies.

Johnb says: “I have tipped Marito but I will be supporting Victoria Pendleton and would love her to win but this distance could be too far for Pasha Du Polder. The best bet at Cheltenham on Friday is Up For Review.”

Johnb’s Cheltenham Selections Day 4

Connetable 10-1 ladbrokes
Frodon 25-1 ladbrokes

Some Plan 16-1 ladbrokes

Up For Review 16-1 ladbrokes

Don Poli 4-1 ladbrokes

Marito 9-1 ladbrokes

Qualando 9-1 ladbrokes

Velvet Maker 9-1 ladbrokes

I certainly won’t be supporting her, but hope she and pacha get home safely.
Unfortunately this episode will overshadow the gold cup which is unfortunate.

    Gold cup 1 2 3
    1 Don poli
    2 djakadam
    3 smad place
Truth is its the most open gold cup I can remember as the betting suggests

John, I think there’s more chance of VP falling then winning to be honest.

Probably one of the most profitable days ever at Cheltenham for punters. Never seen a queue like it in the bookies. They had to turn people away after running out of money. Happy days.

    Hi Johnb,

you are doing a great work, horse racing catched my attention since the start of Cheltenham. I am wondering what percentage of your bankroll represents a point? Are you using a flat stake?

It’s up to how someone wants to split their bank, it’s level stakes except when advising a joint Nap/NB like today but it’s just classed as two bets
When I started I split my bank into 50 bets so 2% of bank but it can be split anyway really

Was at a preview meeting at haydock with Brian Hughes and he could not say enough good words about barters hill. I’m lumping on it.
    Don cossack for gold cup.
