MARCH has been a good month for the Top Treble but not for the Super Single – and that trend continued on Saturday.
Bournemouth -1, Hearts -1 and Watford brought off a 7-2 Top Treble with ease but while Ross County fought back from 2-0 down they just failed to land the Super Single as they were held 2-2 at Hamilton. This was an 11-5 pick so it always going to be risky.
Dortmund beat the Euro treble while we were a Dunfermline goal short of landing a 12-1 homes five-timer.
It's a busy Sunday with Dundee United v Celtic in the League Cup Final and I've posted a separate preview. There are three games in the Premier League with Chelsea looking to extend their lead at the top by sinking Southampton.
Everton tackle Newcastle and Man United v Spurs could be a cracker. United looked OK against Arsenal in the FA Cup on Monday but were still beaten at home and Spurs will fancy their chances at Old Trafford.
All over the continent there are big games and I'm starting my tips with a goals single. This pick is based on stats and form with the last six meetings between PSV and Groningen – 4-2, 3-1, 1-1, 6-1, 5-2 and 2-3.
That's an average of more than five a game so I'm taking a chance on over 3.5 match goals at 1-1 – over 2.5 is too short at around a best 2-5 with Ladbrokes.
Five out of the last six of PSV's games have gone over 2.5 while three of Groningen's last six have gone over 3.5 goals.
For the Super Single my first thought was PSG at Bordeaux but from evens they're now a best 4-5 and maybe it's too short for a trip to Bordeaux. PSG of course impressed everyone with their display at Chelsea in midweek and a repeat of that performance will bring them the points.
They could be jaded though – all except Zlatan Ibrahimovic – after a gruelling 120 minutes and have won just two of their last six visits to the wine growers so cation is advised. Ibra, sent off early at Stamford Bridge, is 4-1 at BetVictor and Betfred to break the deadlock.
I need a good Super Single winner to get back on track so I'm having a go at Lyon who remain one point clear of PSG at the top and have Alexandre Lacazette fit again and among the goals. Lyon face a tricky trip to Marseille who had been struggling until a 6-1 win at Toulouse last time out.
Before that they crashed 3-2 at home to Caen and were held to three successive draws. Lyon won 5-1 at Montpellier last time out and are good enough to win – but I'm splitting the Super Single with half stakes on Lyon not to lose. Lacazette is 5-1 at Paddy Power and BetVictor to score first.
With the Top Treble I'm not taking too many chances and going for old favourites Wolfsburg and Sevilla as well as Real Madrid -1 at home to Levante.
Wolfsburg were their usual goal-hungry selves against Inter Milan in the Europa League last week and should ease to victory against second-bottom Freiburg.
Sevilla were imperious at Villarreal in the Europa League and I can't see them slipping up at home to Elche who have netted just 11 goals on the road. Europa League holders Sevilla remain unbeaten at home and have won five of their last seven in all competitions.
Real Madrid failed to net at Athletic Bilbao last week in the league and then were involved in a remarkable 4-3 defeat at home to Schalke in the Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti's side squeezed through 5-4 on aggregate but the white handkerchiefs were waving at the end as the pressure piled on the Italian boss.
Real need a lift and possibly the perfect opponents for them tonight are Levante. They have netted 22 goals in their last five at home to Levante including 8-0 and 5-1 successes. They also won 5-0 at Levante earlier in the season so you have to expect another big win – and hopefully by the end of 90 minutes it will be Levante fans waving white flags instead of home supporters with their hankies.
I've not said too much about the English games but I expect Everton to beat Newcastle and Chelsea should bounce back from their PSG horror show by seeing off Southampton. Man Utd-Spurs is a tough call but I don't expect Spurs to lose.

Chelsea are the only team Spurs haven’t scored against away from home. Spurs have scored in 5/6 vs Man Utd in the H2H. Dundee Utd have drawn a blank in only 6/33 games this season. They’ve also scored against Celtic in their last 4 H2H.
As a pure blooded red I am obviously skeptical about today. As Alan has said, Spurs have taken 6 points from their last two visits to Old Trafford but I wouldn’t take that into account what with completely different squads. However I would take current form which is nothing short of inconsistent from both sides. On Monday I said the bet for the FA Cup tie was BTTS & over which was obviously how it worked out and I would have to say that would be the same today. Mr Fish we have lost 4 games in 25 in all comps. Not exactly the worst team in the world. It’s only because we’re the most successful club in English football in the last 20 years (haters, we are) that people think that we’re so crap because of a few draws or cup exits. If we finish top 4 that’s a successful season for me and tomorrow is a vital game towards that. Vital for Spurs too but their defence isn’t as good as ours. We’ve conceded 10 goals in 15 league games. Spurs have conceded 9 in 5. If we can get firing early (with who up front I have no idea) we’ll win. Just won’t be betting on it.

Morning Guys, Saturday started off well, but ended pretty poorly, putting these up early as I may not get chance tomorrow, as I am out for lunch.
The game at Old Trafford looks interesting with both sides eyeing up a top four finish. Harry Kane is the player I want to be on here. He has won the player of the month again for the second time in a row, 10 of his 16 league goals have come away from home and he has scored in his last 6 away league games in the league, grabbing two in his last one. He is 7/4 various.
In Holland Den Haag v Heracles kicks off at 11:30 and there is a player I want to be on here in the goal scorer market and that is Michel Kramer. He has scored 14 goals this season, 10 of them have come at home and as scored 3 in his last 5 games. Den Haag drew a blank in their last home game, but prior to that they had scored in the previous 11 home games, with 9 seeing them score 2 or more. Kramer should get chances and is 6/5 Coral.

Keith- that is right, which is why everyone should simply go for it with the free bet in play on a goalscorer or a bet that can at least double your money. It’s half the offer that bet365 do and so will lead to half the profit if you use the max allowance. I would say BTTS pre match which was 4/7 yesterday and then get on one of Rooney or Kane in play. I say Rooney if he is indeed playing up front and not in midfield which he has done on occasion. I have not really tended to use paddy for goalscorers in play but have a sneaky feeling you might only get first goalscorers in play which will make it harder. No harm in asking on their live chat…

With the Paddy Power free bet offer I am going to bet Utd @1.95 x £25 then lay off @ 1.99 x £24.on Smarkets (2% comm) for a 75p loss or Betfair for circa a £1 loss.
That way I get a £25 free bet for a max £1 loss ….. obviously after 15 minutes if its 0-0 then by back Tottenham with the free bet … you have a choice of laying again for a guaranteed profit of £15 – £17 if you do it straight away or let it run for a possible £87 profit with the chance to cover if they score first.
If there is a goal in the first 15 mins you can just pick again but your initial £25 that may have lost by then will have been laid off already for minimum loss.
I see your point Alex. There are some conservative souls like me though who would be very happy just to guarantee a small profit, and despite some legitimate reservations, it is still very possible on the PP offer.
Here is what I’m doing.
£25 on Man Utd with PP at 1.95, £12.50 on Spurs with B365. After 15 mins in play, use the £25 token from PP and place it on the draw.
The respective profits would be: £11.25 if Man Utd win, £12.50 if Spurs win, and £25 if it is a draw.
However, the biggest handicap is this. After 15 mins of play, if there have been no goals, the already stingy odds of 3.5 on the draw will have shrunk even further, so the £25 profit may drop to around £22.
Still, it is better than I may have originally thought.

Not really Dawg. If anything an early goal will help because the odds on the draw should stretch a little (improve). As I said earlier, PP have licence to shrink the odds on the draw during the first 15 mins which, if my plan is taken up, will affect the size of potential profit.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the BTTS & Win market? I know a while back Mr F was regularly putting up some trebles/4-folds at the weekend in the loose change/shop tips part but not much lately.
Myself, I’ve had most luck on singles and doubles but if I’m choosing 3 or 4 I’ll tend to perm them. Never seem to get more than 2 though.

EdRhodes89, I like a little bet on btts and win games – 0.5pt or so in total on a perm. But from a tipping point of view it’s always tough when you’re asked to put up 100-1 lines or so. Sure, the odd one will come up but for me it’s about trying to be consistent with more likely lines and it’s up to punters whether they go for the big ones.

I’ve been reading the site for a couple of months now. Some of the research work that goes into producing tips is absolutely outstanding. For me though, what stands out is the measured approach to betting with a rigid stake plan and a minimal number of multiples. This has had an impact on my own betting style and I am beginning to make some money for a change.
If any of you can be bothered could you explain how your points system works regarding what you stake on each type of bet. I’m still a bit lost with this.

EdRhodes89 BTTS + Win is a market I’m always on I have a mate who makes a lot off of doubles and singles but for me I do a £10 treble every week and I see it as an interest, it’s not something I expect to land but at some point in the season I’m going to hit it, last week Athletico and Valencia done me for £1000, the only thought I put into it is as simple as the BTTS stats and trying to judge who SHOULD win but I believe if someone a lot more knowledgable with the tips than me put some thought in they could pick teams for it better than I ever could, however I’m not sure any of the guys here see a point in it just because it’s extra work for little guarantee and they do enough tip wise for us, would love to have a section dedicated to teams who look likely for it as you say one or two a season and you’re more than happy :)

I will be amazed if Spurs win at old trafford today,granted they may get a draw but for them to win they will probably have to do something that has only been done once in the lg this season and that s to score more than once,that came in the very first game of the season in a 1-2 home loss to Swansea.
True to say spurs have been scoring regularly lately away from home 2 at Qpr,3 at West Brom 1 at Palce and 2 at Leicester..But what about away games against the better sides?

Spurs don’t score a lot of goals and Man United aren’t as bad as the media portray, it’s just because they are man United and people like to see them do badly.
Sean Ireland- The 0-0 can be disreguarded as far as I am concerned as it came just 2 days after the Boxing day fixtures after a really busy schedule for December. I am convinced if the game was played say on the Monday it would have made a huge difference. This will be an interesting game after United’s exit from the Cup. A draw does not really suit either team and a win will put pressure on the teams around them. Depending on how things go today and tomorrow even City might not be such a sure thing for 2nd place.

I decided last Sunday to start posting again, as I think there’s a few good bets to be had in the minor Spanish leagues, and even if you don’t go for all of my suggestions, you may find there are one or two solid-looking picks to bolster an acca.
Last week wasn’t a roaring success – three from six was poor, but I hadn’t quite decided what kind of a method I wanted to employ. In the main now in the betting I do, I only go for singles and doubles, and most of them are highlighted already on the site, but I do enjoy the occasional acca dabble in more obscure leagues based only on stats, though please note, that means lower stakes, as I tend to be aiming at a return around 10 times stake.

We were on Real Madrid B last week at home, where they’re supposed to be good, and they let us down. This week, we’re opposing them away, where they’re really not so good. Better still, we’re actually on the best home side in the league, Huesca. They are 6th overall, but their home stats look like this: P14 W10 D4 L0 F26 A6. Ironically, their last win at home was against last week’s conquerors of Real Madrid B, Socuallemos. Real seem to treat playing away as defensive training. Their stats are P13 W3 D6 L4 F9 A9. Again, it’s worth noting these leagues are low-scoring, and Real’s 13 away games have been O2.5 only twice, so, Under 2.5, again, isn’t a terrible shout. However, Huesca at home seem to have more firepower than most and, at odds against, the home win looks a good shout.

I got one £10 treble up a few months back and it returned £750 odds which I see as free betting money not profit as I like to bet with bookies money rather than my own, bet365 give a good detailed betting history and from the 1st of January until today I’ve staked £6058 and my returns were £6293 which is a small profit but more importantly in that time no money came out of my bank account and that’s the most important part in my eyes, it’s not about winning that’s just a bonus it’s about trying to win with out losing.
Now most of that money has been on the cards market which does me well hence my main bookie is 365.
But what does give it a healthy boost is the btts & win market and how I pick them is by following the good tipsters on here and if they throw up a btts bet I will then go on to 365 and put £50 on the btts and £50 on the btts win market and I usually just pick the fav to win and btts and hope if the fav doesn’t win then hopefully the btts comes in to get some or all of the losing stake back.
A good example was about 3 weeks ago, Friday night match, fiorintina was heavily tipped on this site for btts and were favs to win so I had £50 on each and both came in and think it returned about £250 for the btts win and about £90 for btts.
Mind might only get a good one for a single every other week and if I don’t I just do a £10 treble for fun and as you say if you get one treble up your laughing and as I say if you get one up your betting for a while with the bookies money :)

Steve if I were you, I would stay away from Steaua game. They are awful after the winter break, with only 2 goals scored in 4 games and only 1 won out of 4 games. During winter break they lost 3 key players: best defender, the playmaker and the scorer. Plus their keeper is benched cause he refuses to renew contract due to expire in summer. The rest of the season is a time to reinvent their game and young players are given more chances to play. And Steaua haven’t won for a while away to Pandurii, which are in great form (midweek they qualified for the League Cup final and they will meet Steaua in final). I’m not sayin that Steaua cannot win, but it’s not a match i would risk my money on.

Rookie, you can play any player you like in the U21 squad as it’s essentially a reserve league. Any player needing match fitness is eligible to play. It’s only named U21 because the majority of the players are. Victor Valdes starts every game for our U21’s.
You’re also only allowed to play a max of 3 over 21’s in a game, I believe

LOST – with the away side scoring after 3 mins both teams to score went out to almost 6/1 which meant easy cover for profit or at least money back. On this occassion I felt pretty sure that Slovan would score. So every chance I get like this in future I am going to do it.
