IT'S getting down to the nitty gritty with big weekend games up and down the country.
In the English Premier League on Saturday it's about the fight to beat the drop while there are some massive matches at the top of the Championship including Norwich v Derby and Middlesbrough v Ipswich.
In Scotland the title race is on hold as Celtic get ready to face Dundee United in the League Cup Final in the second of their four-parter.
Here is the shortlist I put together for a Super Single at evens or above from my initial look at the coupon. I've checked form and stats but won't be looking at team news until later.
Let's hear your thoughts and any info from fans of the clubs involved will be particularly welcomes.
Super Single shortlist
BIRMINGHAM v Huddersfield
Brighton v WOLVES
NORWICH v Derby
ROTHERHAM v Wigan
Oldham v BARNSLEY
Walsall v MK DONS
Cambridge v STEVENAGE
Hamilton v ROSS COUNTY
Partick Th v ST JOHNSTONE
HEARTS -1 v Dumbarton
West Ham to score @ Arsenal is prized at 1.7.
I support hibs but hearts- 2 is even better. 13-8.
Brentford to win at home to Cardiff at 4-5 in places, such as Coral.
With the players Cardiff have, they should be near the top, but they seem to lose every game of late.
Where are hearts -1 evens? 365 has them at 1.57.
Harry Kane to score a double hatrick this weekend – 5000/1 @ coral
A couple more to think about on the draw no bet is Aston Villa at Sunderland (7/5) and Stoke at West Brom (11/8).
Sunderland really don’t like playing at home, they get very nervy in front of their own fans and Villa on the back of two derby wins will be up for this one.
No doubt about it Tony Pulis will want to win this against his former club but Stoke are an ultimate bogey side for West Brom and they are priced way too big.
Burnley to beat Man.C. 7/1 what ! Will be doing double chance too or draw no bet.Blackpool are scrapping for their life at Bournemouth and are priced 17/1 crazy price. Will have a look at btts/win markets too !
Barnsley @12/5 to beat Oldham was 13/5 yesterday they av won 5 on bounce without conceding a goal Oldham will want to win against there former manager but (according to my mate at work who is an oldham fan) are without their captain and best centre back and 2 other regulars think bookies av priced Barnsley up way to high I’ve already backed Barnsley -1 @ 4/5 and that price has shortened now too good luck
brum fan here
would never trust us mr f,very lucky to beat blackpool last home game, outplayed at derby but scored two injury time goals with our only two attempts on target
in saying that we beat Brentford two weeks ago and deserved to following a winless eight games so you just never know what youre gonna get with u
typical championship I suppose
Sorry Barnsley +1 @ 4/5 -1 is 7/1 and that’s worth a look too
Barnsley v Oldham is on my btts No. list looking at it a Barnsley Win to nil is looking positive. Not dug to deep yet
Repost sorry
Super value Saturday Double
Leeds v Nott’m Forest Btts and Forest win @ 4/1 most firms,9/2 bwin
Norwich v Derby Btts and Norwich win @ 7/2 bwin around 16/5 other firms
Reasons? firstly we all know Leeds have improved recently scoring twice against Ipswich and Watford and winning away to Wigan scoring and conceding in 2 of those games including conceding 3 home to Watford, Forest have been very impressive on the goals front scoring at least 2 in 7/8 in league and scoring 22 times in those 8 games,5 of last 6 has also seen Btts.
Should see Btts in this one but Forest should outscore Leeds.
Btts has come in 5/6 last meetings between the pair.
Norwich have been very impressive and should net at least twice at home to a Derby side with a decent forward line but a terrible defense.
Norwich have scored at least twice in 7/8 in league and have scored 23 times in those games.
Derby have scored at least 2 in 8/10 league but have conceded 2 in each of last 3 losing 2 winning 0,they have conceded 13 times in last 7 which is very poor for a team sitting 2nd in lg.
Previous meeting in December read Derby 2 Norwich 2.
Got to fancy Norwich to out gun Derby in what should see a few goals.
Double on above pays a huge £247.50 to a £10 stake…Worth a shot to you?? ;)
Cpalace for me 5/4
I’m going on that Sean. Cheers
Got to be Barnsley,I put them up earlier in the week when they were 27/10 and I still think they’re a great price now. Could even do them draw no bet @11/8 to be safe.
Tranmere draw no bet 6/4 taking strong squad to a must win game
Ive just backed Barnsley draw no bet @7/5 with Betway. I’ve just opened another account with them and put my £50 free bet on Liverpool to beat Swansea @21/20. They’ve kept 5 clean sheets on the trot away from home and will surely be odds on come Monday.
Charlton look a good price at home .
Norwich
leeds
3 x doubles and a treble.
will be my wee treble for week end
doing the same teams with 3 or 4 goals in game same bet.
Norwich 4.5
leeds 6
Charlton 6 same bet as above sml stakes
Iceland ladies cup 6-0 to briedablik 1/2 hr to go get your goals bets on.
7-1 now
Why in the hell do people bet on iceland ladies lol thats when you know you have some gambling issues
gambling issues , a win is a win , profit for tomorrow. that why I bet Iceland ladies .lol .
Northampton won last 5 on the row at home
Tranmere lost 6 of last 8.
Northampton are the top of the 10 on the table and Tranmere are on the bottom 2.
Gaz, why would you put a free bet on a. 21-20 shot? You don’t get your stake back so only end up with basically the same amount.
Watford to beat Reading worth a punt?
Reading got FA Cup game to contend with on Monday so will surely be resting key players.
Thoughts please …
Good pointed Jay…next game for reading is on monday, they are safe from relegation and watford is in must win situation for promotion…how about backing against Bradford too? jay, mr f , guys?
SUV, I’d check team news before going big but I’d assume both will rest players.
Jay, totally agree.
Bayern Munich
Dortmund
Juventus
Manchester City
Rangers
Watford
Middlesbrough
Arsenal
All to score @ 1.44
Lump on Watford and palace
Lyall-£50 free bet is not real money,if liverpool win I can draw the money out.Should Barnsley lose for instance and liverpool win I would still av my original £50 cash that I’ve staked on Barnsley DNB.
SUV, personally think Bradfird game could go either way. Bradford will still be hoping to secure a playoff spot whilst Notts County will be trying avoid relegation.
Watford seem a much safer bet.
-1 Arsenal @2.1 Sporting Bet
The Barnsley cash cow continues to produce!!
Good shout Gaz ! A great tip! Keep em coming!
Jay-I’m no tipster by any means,I just latched on to Barnsley’s good form a couple of weeks ago. For the last 3 matches they’ve been priced up at 5/4,7/4 and 27/10.I wish I’d been a bit braver today but thought 7/5 draw no bet was a great price.
Jay and anyone else interested-Barnsley are currently 21/10@skybet to beat Leyton Orient on Tuesday night. This price is bigger than any other bookie and won’t be around for long. Prior to beating a poor Yeovil today Orient had lost 5 out of there last 6 home games.
Gaz, thanks for the heads up! I couldn’t agree more , Barnsley definitely look capable of doing the business again.
Great bet and great odds and I will defo be on it!
I said lump on Watford palace
