Mar 14: Mr Fixit’s Top Tips

MRF_TopTips

IT was another day with a Super Single but it should have been a full house.

My both to score treble win at 11-2 – the only problem was it wasn’t a btts treble. I decided to take overs at Fiorentina-Verona to boost the odds and that one finished 1-1. Hopefully some you just did the btts line.

And I did the same with my Top Treble – adding Ajax to Spurs, Dortmund and Napoli to make it a bit more attracting. Only Ajax let me down by conceding a late equaliser.

So at least the Spurs -1AH SS came in and it was a good day for Greg and Jordan whose Naps again. If you’ve been following the main mens’ main tips this month you’ll be well in the black.

Tonight’s it’s all about Leicester v Newcastle – Claudio Ranieri v Rafa Benitez – and I’ve posted a separate preview.

Other games include Granada v Espanyol in La Liga end Benfica v Tondela in Portugal and there are six matches in the League of Ireland. And of course plenty will consider goals bets for the Jupiler League in Holland.

My Super Single in today’s Daily Record is Leicester -1 and it’s a bet I fancy – that or Leicester to win to nil. We all know Rafa will try to park the bus tonight and his focus will be on not conceding cheap goals in the next few weeks.

I’m not sure he will get on at St James’s because he’s used to working with strikers such as Gonzalo Higuain, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. What he makes of Aleksandr Mitrovic is anyone’s guess.

I’ll be watching the game carefully tonight but for the Super Single on the site I’m going with Venlo -1 and Dundalk to score 2+. Jordan has tipped VVV goals and both sides should win well.

Promotion-chasing Venlo have won five of their last six at home by more than one goal and opponents RKC are struggling.

Dundalk have started the season the way they finished the last as champions with two wins and six goals and should make it three in a row at Wexford. Scoring two goals should be their minimum requirement.

My other bet today is a Top Treble on btts at Austria Lustenau v LASK, over 2.5 goals at Benfica v Tondela and simply Leicester to win despite the Benitez bounce.

The Austrian second tier is high scoring and Lustenau’s have seen btts in 11 of their last 12 and in the previous eight meetings with LASK.

In Portugal league positions suggest Benfica will trounce Tondela but that might not be the case. Benfica will return to the top with a win and should get it but are extremely short priced.

Tondela’s goals usually feature with seven out of nine going over so take over 2.5 match goals – and Tondela could contribute to the total and they’ve netted more away than five of the teams above them.

Remember to check We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

Good weekend turned into a great one with both main scorers landing (Kane and Giovinco) as did Triverio over in Mexico that I added in the day. So that was 5 tipped scorers out of 5 over the weekend with odds of 6/5, EVS, 21/20, 7/5 and 5/4. It would probably be wise to continue my scorers run, but difficult to pick between Vardy and Mahrez for Leicester, and it almost feels like I’d be taking them because the game is on. Rafa Benitez will take charge of his first game for Newcastle, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s managing them in the Championship next season.

Saw a funny comment on him today that said something along the lines of, Rafa Benitez has gone from managing Real Madrid to Newcastle. That’s almost a comparison of sleeping with Michelle Keegan, then being dumped and going for Susan Boyle 😀

Not really sure this tenure will go to well for Rafa. He likes to keep a game tight and defensive, but Newcastle don’t know what those words mean this season. I can see a Leicester win, as can most of you I imagine, but how many they’ll score is difficult. They have won the last three against Newcastle to nil, which pays best @ 9/5 @ 888, and have also covered the -2 over the last two (-1AH pays 11/10 @ Paddys) but for me I can’t make a solid enough decision, so I’m leaving it entirely.

Instead I’m going to be on the two teams that brought in Fridays double. Irish giants Dundalk travel to promoted side Wexford who have lost both of their openers by scorelines of 2-0 and will be desperate to try and get a point off the visitors who have scored three in both their two games. The only worry here is that Dundalk are at home against Cork on Friday, who they’ll likely have one eye on after their 2-0 defeat in the President’s Cup in late February. Ciaran Kilduff has 2 goals for Dundalk and is my favourite to score tonight @ 5/6 @ Paddys and Bet Victor, but I’ll take Dundalk to score twice.

Double that up with Fridays other side Venlo to score twice who are at home to bottom feeders Waalwijk in the Dutch Eerste. Venlo have scored twice or more in seven of their last eight, seven of their last nine at home, scoring 3 or more in all seven. Waalwijk only have 6 points from 14 away games this season and Venlo will be looking for some revenge after losing 2-1 in the reverse fixture.

    Over 1.5 Team Goals Double

    Venlo – Dutch Eerste – 7:00PM
    Dundalk – Irish Premier – 8:00PM

    41/50 @ Ladbrokes – 2.5 points

I may put up Kilduff for Dundalk but will wait for the line up tomorrow evening.

Haha Jordan – top stuff with the scorer bets.

I believe Rafa has a ‘break’ clause in his contract (not for Susan) so will negate contract if relegated.

I’ve picked out your Dundalk and VVV alongside Leicester and Cork – all to score 1.5+ team goals…

    Longshot…a touch over 3/1.

    Good luck.

Was waiting on West Ham for £2k yesterday, had £35 on:
    Levante
    Roma
    Spurs
    Sevilla
    And West Ham

Covered it slightly in play by sticking £100 on the draw at 3s but it will still a gutter.

Stuck £50 of those winnings on:
    Real
    Napoli
    Lazio
    and Rennes v Lyon DRAW

Returned £525 and also had £40 on over 3.5goals in the NYC game (23/20) as well as a tenner on Kamara/Giovinco anytime double at 3/1 so it was a good day even though it could have been a great one…

@bluemooner1894 Aye it was pretty frustrating considering it was a foul on the keeper, felt West Ham could have had a pen too. I haven’t really had a look yet coz I’m working but I’ll probably go with a couple of scorecast for the Leicester game 2-0 Vardy and 2-0 Mahrez and maybe a wee 2-0 Huth 1st.

theboss, when you see Benfica so short you have to look at other ways to back them. I considered both to score but that’s putting a lot of faith in Tondela. They aren’t as bad as their position suggests and no one has beaten them easily in recent weeks.
They usually score but lost 4-0 at home to Benfica.

It’s no more news that Newcastle have appointed an astute coach with exceptional defensive tactical nous in Rafael Benitez.
Three seasons ago, he was hired by Chelsea Football Club to save their dying season and his first game in charge was against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Knowing that there wasn’t ample time to instil his philosophy ahead of the game, he simply set up the team to get a result (0-0) with a team that leaked goals left, right and center under Roberto Di Matteo. I am certain tonight’s game against Leicester would turn out the same. Set them up not to concede and play on the counter. Moreover, we shouldn’t underestimate the new manager syndrome in the EPL.
    Here are my suggested bets.

Under 2.5 match goals 1/1 (NAP)
    Draw 4/1 (NB)
    Leicester win 1-0 7/1 ( cover bet)

    Good Luck if you choose.

    Italy Serie B 7:30 PM

    Cagliari vs Perugia – over 2.5 MG’s 23/20 **NAP**

Cagliari have their chance to head back to the summit of Serie B tonight after Crotone slipped up away to Brescia. Ten of the fifteen home games they have played this season have resulted in over scorelines and tonight there will be extra emphasis on them to put in a good performance to ensure they get the win. It hasn’t gone unnoticed however that in their last five they’ve conceded seven goals and tonights opponents Perugia are certainly capable of scoring against them. Within the last month Perugia have netted against some of the league’s best teams including Cesena and Crotone, the current league leaders, who they defeated 2-1 in an excellent away win. They will also head into tonight’s match on the back of two straight wins so it looks like there could be a few goals in this.

Maastricht vs Ajax Reserves – over 2.5 MG’s
Benfica vs Tondela – over 3.0 goal line
    Kingstonian vs Brentwood Town

    3.08/1 **NB**

Austria Lustenau v LASK Linz 17:30 – AUSTRIA LUSTENUA to win 17/10

I’m not an expert on Austrian football and you can’t rely solely on form/stats but looking at this one I can’t ignore the price for the home team – 17/10 They sit 4th, one place and four points below todays opponents and have been strong at home recently winning 4/5 and drawing the other. In their last home game they beat top team St Pollen 4-2 and they’ve also already beaten todays opponents 2-1 earlier in the season when they were in worse form than they are in now (lost the 3 following home games and the one prior). The away side have won one of their last 6 away games, losing three and I fancy the home side to win this.

The sides have played twice this season and on each occasion it has finished 2-1 to the home side

    Austria Lustenau to win 2-1 @ 9/1 – Single & Double with Leicester 2-0

I can’t get a price on the home side Score & win but might get on that if it comes up nearer KO.

A side from the bet posted on the thread above, I’ve also taken out Midjylland and replaced them with Dundalk:

    GRANADA 11/10
    DUNDALK 8/25
    LEICESTER 8/15

Poor Hobro are in awful form giving up goals for fun! The home team haven’t been in the best of form themselves, having encountered tough opposition of late, and with that in mind I’m backing them to get back amongst the goals this evening ! It’s not uncommon for them to net twice on home soil, and as such, I’m betting as follows:
    Midtjylland-1 10/11
Midtjylland over 2.5 team goals 11/8
    Midtjylland over3.5 team goals 4/1.
Gl all with bets. @ Guru and Jordan on.

      Midtylland
Going to have a dabble on Sisto ATGS 15/8 (Pusic probably safer at 6/5)
Mind you Hobro may prove to be tougher opposition than Man Utd 😉

Dundalk make a few changes with Kilduff (2) on the bench. McMillan starts and he scored a ht-trick when these two last met in the cup. McEleney also starts but no scorer markets available surprisingly. Going to risk a point on McMillan.

    David McMillan (Dundalk) Anytime @ 11/10 @ Paddy Power – 1 point

Under 2.5 match goals 1/1 (NAP) WON
    Draw 4/1 (NB) LOST
Leicester win 1-0 7/1 ( cover bet) WON

GREAT NIGHT GENTS. HOPE YOU GUYS WERE ON!!

    Good Luck if you choose.

@jordan I just meant my bet mate, somebody called me earlier about my bets from yesterday and this one looks more unrealistic given Sparta are top of the league but I was looking at the stats on b365 and Almere looked to be well on top.
