CHELSEA v PSG caught most of the attention on Wednesday night especially with bet365 doing their £50 inplay offer.
Well done to everyone who won including Jordan whose main tip was both to score. Greg focused on the Scottish Under-20 League with one winner and a loser.
I also had both to score on a treble with over 1.5 goals at Zenit and Inverness to score. My advised cover with 10 minutes to go in Perth was St Johnstone to win and luckily that came up.
My early Super Single won thanks to Bastia and Marseille not to lose and I tried a speculative 1pt on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score first when really I should have gone with the anytime option.
Thursday night is all about the Europa League last-16 ties and I've posted two previews – one of the Liverpool v Man United game and one looking at the best of the rest.
Most of the reasoning for my tips are on those posts and for the Super Single I'm doing something similar to last night with a double on Villarreal and Sparta Prague not to lose at home to Bayer Leverkusen and Lazio respectively.
For the Top Treble I'm on Athletic Bilbao to beat Valencia for the third time this season, Dortmund to edge out Spurs and both to score at Liverpool v Man United. It's Europa League so small stakes as usual.

In December 2020 we sadly 
Europa League so you know what the means. Things may not go according to plan and small stakes should be advised. Drawn to the price of Spurs. Not for a win, but to score. Ok, Dortmund are playing well and held Bayern to a draw on the weekend, but they were battered by Munich who on another day could have easily won 2 or 3-0.
So now they host a side chasing Premier League glory in Tottenham, but have dropped points over their last two games. A surprise defeat at West Ham which saw their brilliant away scoring form end (18 games) and a 2-2 draw against Arsenal despite having the one man advantage last weekend.
As well have Dortmund have played recently, they have conceded goals in the Europa League this season at home to PAOK, Krasnodar and Odd, not three teams who you’d expect much of at the Signal-Iduna. Dele Alli is suspended so we’ll likely see Dortmunds kryptonite Heung-Min Son come into the line up. The Korean has 5 goals against Dortmund in his career, more than any other club he’s played against. Obviously Kane will be the Spurs favourite, but Son looks a big price @ 4/1 against a team he’s hurt on a few occasions, as does Lamela who is biggest @ 11/2 despite scoring 6 goals in the competition.
Spurs have conceded in 6 of their last 7 in all competitions, their last 7 of 9 on the road, and in 3 of their 4 European away game this season at Monaco, Anderlecht and Fiorentina.

Wasn’t as bad as I thought but still pretty tough. Converting odds like American to Decimals, Decimals to Percentages, outcomes of Asian Handicaps and American Handicaps, then the harder ones were calculating overlay and things I wasn’t as clued up on. I think I did ok but then again I could have done awful haha. Said they’ll let me know in a couple of days.

Not sure how familiar folk are with the Copa Libertadores but it’s a big deal for the SA and Mexican sides involved with a lot of pride/red cards (?) at stake!
Reigning Libertadores champs River Plate play off the back of a 4-0 mauling of Trujillanos whilst Sao Paulo sucumbed to a shock 0-1 loss to our Bolivian friends The Strongest.
We need to be careful when looking at ‘domestic’ form as, within any inter-country competition, form can often count for naught.
River have had a mixed start to their campaign but it’s well worth noting that they are well capable of scoring a few: 4-3-2-5-3 team goals in recent games.
The Brasilians have started well domestically, sitting joint top after 8.
I’ve trawled back through their last 25 games and out of these, there were only 3 (Strongest, Fluminense, Corinthians – 1 shock other two good sides) where Sao Paulo didn’t manage at least one goal.
H2H’s were SP winning 2 (2-0 each time) and RP winning 3-1 – but can be completely disregarded as over 10 years ago!
What’s more relevant is current news and it seems Sao Paulo’s midfield are in some disarray giving manager Bauza (whose won this cup with two other teams/countries) and fans some sleepless nights.
River Plate have their own worries though, the key one being their key defensive partnership of Maidana and Balanta are both out.
With SP’s questionable form and midfield vulnerabilities, RP’s defensive woes and both teams attacking prowess – this one should be a belter.

Like your write ups Hull think I’m going to start following your tips always nice to have a bit of a warmer climate of an evening. What do you do in terms of stakes, do you go heavier on the NAP, or stick to level stakes, or just mix it up as you feel like?

Jacksonator, as much as I love Hull ❤, you need to remember that team news is a premium on these games, and red cards are more certain than everywhere else (as Hull has mentioned himself). Don’t get me wrong, following stats can be profitable, but knowing the players of each side can be even better. Just wouldn’t want to see anyone playing with big stakes on these hot heads in South America. I’ve learnt my lesson in Mexico but luckily they are probably the easiest league to follow in that region other than the MLS. Depending what Hull stakes I think 10 points is a lot for South American games but he is a clever cookie over there and I secretly believe his Bury support is just a cover up for his admiration of Bolivar from Bolivia ;)
Yeah cheers Jordan I hear you, I wouldn’t go in for 10 points, mostly because I will usually have some other bets on in the day so wouldn’t want to risk too much of the bank. I do love watching the South American football, the love a good card! Some of the games are completely mad, I remember one I watched a few months back too where they had got to the game with the wrong kit, they sent someone out who bought a load of hooky Juve shirts from a street seller but they didn’t fit, then they tried the opposing teams other kit but they didn’t fit either so ended up being played about an hour late for KO in some horrendous luminous green kit that they had managed to cobble together from somewhere.

Lastly, regarding stakes/points, I’ve always been totally anonymous with mine for exactly the reasons you state. Only mentioned in reference to a request.
The 5:3:2 ratio is something I use as a flexible staking guide that is totally relative to the overall daily pot (be it £100 or 10p) and rarely would it be spread on one game as it was in this instance.

Anderlecht have demonstrated previously that they have what it takes to register away from home as they netted against Spurs in the 2-1 defeat earlier in the group stages and even more recently when they put two past Monaco in the last thirty-two for an excellent win. That said, I do believe they will lose tonight to Shakhtar Donetsk who’s last result in this competition was a respectable 3-0 away win over Schalke. In addition, looking back to when they were in the Champions League before their elimination, they put in good displays at home including a 4-0 destruction of Malmo and a 3-4 loss to Real Madrid (only Barcelona and current Europa League champions Sevilla have netted three or more against Real Madrid this season) so I’d think its quite probable they’ll get the win on their own turf but not without conceding a goal.
Sorry a bit of incorrect information in there, Anderlecht did put two past Monaco away but it was in the group stages. In the last thirty-two they put two past Olympiakos away, which is even better I suppose :)

I’d like a bit of input from Spurs fans. With the bookies pricing you up at 6/1 for the win, 8/5 for double chance and 3/1 for over 1.5TG do you not think that these odds are overpriced?
Dortmund are a good team but I don’t think there 1/2 good. Defensively they are frail but as are Spurs. I’d definitely prefer goals to a result but the 3/1 about Spurs over 1.5TG is very tempting. I definitely think Spurs will be going for an away goal or two.

Liverpool over 1.5 tg’s looks good to me at what I think is a very good price of 7/5. Liverpool seem to either struggle to score or don’t seem to be able to stop scoring, so hopefully its the latter but either way 7/5 seems too good for me not to have a bet.
