NEITHER bookie landed a winner last weekend – and again the weather played a part and isn't showing signs of improvement.

So William Hill's Owen Scott continues to lead the way in the season-long challenge on winnings of £204.18 this season while McBookie.com's Paul Petrie is on £173.72. Here's what the duo are taking this weekend – with Owen picking the same sides as last week.

Owen writes: I managed to beat the weather last week and get two matches on but unfortunately a second-half goal for Girvan gained them a replay and sent my treble to the bin. The rain looks set to play havoc with fixtures again this weekend but hopefully I can get three games that are on and three winners.

I'm starting my treble in the East Region and I'm taking table-toppers Newtongrange at 1-1 to beat Bonnyrigg at home and all but end Bonnyrigg's title challenge. Nitten have led almost from the start and don't look like giving up top spot easily.

I'm heading West now and to the opposite end of the table and I'm on Arthurlie at 6-4 to get their season back on track with another league win. The Lie's league form of late has been okay but a slip-up last week against Lanark in the Central League Cup won't have helped confidence but I reckon they can bounce back with three points against Rob Roy.

To complete my treble I'm taking Kilwinning at 23-20 to win away to Kilsyth. The Buffs lost their manager at the beginning of the week but never hung about before installing a replacement and that could give the club a much-needed boost as they attempt to climb the table.

Paul writes:First up I am backing Lochee Utd to beat Armadale at 8-13. Both teams have struggled this season but the Bluebells are more capable of putting in a good performance and I think home advantage will see them pick up three points.

Next I am going for Kirkcaldy to beat Kirriemuir at 1-1. The Fife side were relegation candidates but have put in some decent performances in recent weeks. Their away form is still woeful and that is the only concern. However, Kirrie are all over the place at the moment so Kirkaldy still look good value

Finally, I am taking a punt on Bonnyrigg to beat Newtongrange at 11-5. Star refuse to go away in the race for the title but there isn’t much difference between the two teams and at the price Rose look worth the bet
