IF tomorrow’s Capital One Cup Final between Chelsea and Spurs is half as memorable as the last meeting between the sides it will be a thriller.
Spurs won 5-3 at White Hart Lane on New Year’s Day and it’s a result that will still haunt Jose Mourinho and co.
The Blues don’t usually conceded more than one – never mind five – and were torn apart by new kid on the block Harry Kane.
White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino showed where his priorities lie by resting his top scorer against Fiorentina on Thursday and having made seven changes for the Italian tie his side shouldn’t be jaded at Wembley.
Chelsea are rightly favourites, even if 7-10 at Ladbrokes looks too short, but they’ll miss banned midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Spurs look big at 19-4 with BetVictor and bet365 but won’t fear the Blues after the way they dismantled them at the turn of the year.
Including that game Chelsea have drawn five and lost once to the six highest-ranked sides they’ve faced so I can see this going to extra time. A draw pays 31-10 at BetVictor while not to lose in 90 minutes Spurs are 13-10 at Coral.
All eyes will be on Kane and he is 7-1 at Ladbrokes to score first and good value at 12-5 with Ladbrokes and 888sport to net at any time.
Spurs will look to the likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard to shine. Costa is 4-1 at Ladbrokes to net the opener and Hazard 15-8 at bet365 to net at any time.
The last six meetings between the sides have produced 23 goals so this shouldn’t be a low-score bore of a final. Over 2.5 goals pays 11-13 at 888sport.
