JUNIOR TIPSTER CHALLENGE: WEEK 28

OWEN SCOTT was happy at picking a Cumnock win but his treble still lost.

There was no joy either for McBookie.com’s Paul Petrie so in the season-long tipster challenge William Hill’s Owen is on £47.14 but still trails Paul who has £155.

Here’s what they’re on this weekend:

Owen writes:Another hard luck story last week as Pollok were the only team who let me down but I’ve had a few messages of thanks from punters who followed my Cumnock tip at 11-4.

I feel like it’s a broken record but again this week I’m looking for matches that will beat the weather. Sun is in the skies but our pal Jack Frost has been nibbling away at the grass so some games will not survive.

I’ll start my treble in the top league in the West with Petershill (2-5) to get their title charge back on track with a win at home to Ashfield.

The Peasies sit top of the league but had a setback last week when they lost at home to Glenafton. Ashfield look safe enough in the league but won’t be wanting to get dragged into any fight but I feel the home side should edge it and as a bonus this game should definitely be on.

Next I head east and to another 3G surface and I’m taking Camelon (8-13) to win at Broxburn. Camelon are in the quarter-finals of the Junior Cup and have only tasted defeat once since September and that was against Linlithgow who haven’t lost all season. Broxburn have lost their last four matches and due to reconstruction there is no relegation so nothing to play for in the league.

To complete my treble I’m hoping the game will go ahead as Arthurlie (7-4) entertain Irvine Meadow. I saw Meadow play last week and never really troubled Cumnock and have now lost another couple of experienced players throughout the week.

This is a massive match at the bottom and I feel the home side’s goalscoring exploits of late (12 goals in four games) can grab them three points.

Owen’s Treble

  • Petershill
  • Camelon
  • Arthurlie

Treble pays £62.19 to a £10 stake at William Hill, £48.46 at McBookie.com

Paul writes:First up I am on Arthurlie to beat Irvine Meadow at 7-4 with Hills – we actually have them as the 6-5 favourite so a big difference in opinion. I think Owen has priced up Meadow on reputation rather than form.

Next I am on Beith to beat Owen’s Cumnock where again we have different favourites. We have Beith at 6-5 compared to the 2-1 on offer from Owen.

As I have gone for two decent prices I am throwing in Linlithgow to beat Tranent in the Cup. Owen has them as a 1-7 chance whilst we make them 1-20. That represents terrific value.

Paul’s Treble

  • Arthurlie
  • Beith
  • Linlithgow

Pays £40.82 to a £10 stake at McBookie.com, £84.29 at William Hill
