OWEN SCOTT was happy at picking a Cumnock win but his treble still lost.

There was no joy either for McBookie.com’s Paul Petrie so in the season-long tipster challenge William Hill’s Owen is on £47.14 but still trails Paul who has £155.

Here’s what they’re on this weekend:

Owen writes:It was another hard-luck story for me last week as according to reports the Hill of Beath goalie had an excellent match to hold Kelty to a 2-2 draw and sink my treble yet again. It’s getting exciting in the junior world as the last 16 of the Emirates Scottish Cup takes place.

Arguably match of the day takes place at Meadow Park where Irvine Meadow will entertain my own favourites Cumnock. I’m going to get stick but I’m taking Cumnock at 11-4 to cause what will be seen as an upset everywhere outside of the town.

Cumnock are playing well and scoring plenty of goals while Medda haven’t had much luck in the Scottish when playing at home to Super League sides in recent years.

I’m adding my team’s chief rivals Auchinleck who are 8-13 at Lochee Utd. This looks value as Talbot are 1-3 elsewhere. Last time they visited Lochee in the Cup they lost controversially on penalties but I reckon they can do it in 90 minutes today and book a place in the quarter-finals.

Pollok (1-2) at home to Shotts look another good bet as they play host to the Scottish Junior Cup holders.

They have already played today’s opponents twice at home this season and won both. This will also be the fourth side Lok have met in this competition from the same division so confidence of booking a place in the last eight and ending Shotts’ reign will be high at Newlandsfield.

Owen’s Treble

  • Cumnock
  • Auchinleck
  • Pollok

Treble pays £90.87 to a £10 stake at William Hill, £71.85 at McBookie.com

Paul writes:First up I am going for Lochgelly to beat Bankfoot in the East of Scotland Cup at odds of 10-11 with Hills – we are 4-7. Lochgelly are near the bottom of their division but most of their games have come against the better teams. Bankfoot on the other hand have played nearly everyone and are still struggling.

Next up I am backing Bonnyrigg at 1-5 to beat Lochee Harp. I appreciate it is a short price but we are 1-11 and I can’t see there being a shock.

Finally, in the West I am backing Shettleston to beat Larkhall at 17-10 – we have them odds on at 17-20. Shettleston competed over two games with Irvine Meadow in the Scottish Cup and although this will be a difficult game they can build on those good performances.

Paul’s Treble

  • Lochgelly
  • Shettleston
  • Bonnyrigg

Pays £31.71 to a £10 stake at McBookie.com, £61.85 at William Hill
