JUNIOR TIPSTER CHALLENGE: WEEK 16

OWEN SCOTT must have got Paul Petrie angry by getting off the mark.

A single, with two matches postponed, broke Owen’s duck and he has won £20 this season. But McBookie.com‘s Paul is up to £105 after landing a treble thanks to Culter, Sauchie and Dundee Violet. That paid £67.50 to a £10 stake at Hills

The weather will play havoc with this weekend’s games but let’s see how the pair fare.

Owen writes: Prizes today should go to anyone who picks three games that are played as winter starts to bite.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed and in the east going for Linlithgow at 4-5 to beat Bo’ness and almost put the title out of sight.

Add Bathgate who are also 4-5 at home to Newtongrange in a match between two sides hoping the Ballingry juggernaut comes to a halt.

To complete my treble I’m on Forfar West End at 7-5 to win their Scottish Cup replay at home to Cumbernauld. West End did well to earn a replay with a draw two weeks ago and I feel they can finish the job at home

Owen’s Treble

  • Linlithgow
  • Bathgate
  • Forfar West End

Treble pays £77.76 to a £10 stake at William Hill, £102.14 at McBookie.com

Paul writes:I’M hoping my games will be on but not too confident. First up are Jeanfield to beat Broughty in the East Region.

Jeanfield will count themselves unlucky after throwing away a two-goal lead last week to top dogs Ballingry. They will be eager to get back to winning ways and should have enough goals in them to beat Broughty. We are 2-5 with Hills offering 1-2.

Next up I am backing Deveronside to beat Fraserburgh in the North Region. Both make them the favourites but we go 1-2 while Owen is offering 1-1. I think that is too big.

Finally, I am staying in the North and backing Dyce to beat Banks O’Dee. We have them as the 11-10 favourites but Owen has them priced as the 23-10 outsiders. They beat Hermes last week so should be full of confidence.

Paul’s Treble

  • Jeanfield
  • Deveronside>
  • Dyce

Pays £44.10 to a £10 stake at McBookie.com, £99 William Hill

Why are there massive fluctuations on price between the two bookies?

Lockuptipster, it’s just a difference of opinion and maybe McBookie.com, being Dundee based, get better info about the North games in particular. Anyone doesn’t matter today with the junior card virtually wiped out.
