ELLIS – Rafa on paper looks to have a very tough draw. He could well end up winning it but 11/4 might be a bit low really. Think his route is Rosol/ Tomic/ Monfils and Cilic. All of them are comfortable on grass and could hit him off the court. Personally odds are a bit low I think.

Although I was in good profit yesterday (attributed mainly to my NBA Special) it felt like a loss with Sassari slumping to Milano in the second half. I’ve spent the morning looking for some value in th ODI today but not had much luck. It’s a lot harder to study when all the stats and everything are in world cup format! No time for a major write up like usual but I’m having new Zealand to win and after a little bit of trawling I reckon the boundaries line from williamhill is set wrong again (as per usual) but this time I think it’s too high at 56. As it’s the first ODI of the series it’s going to be harder to judge than the rest, but with Captain Morgan coming out saying he knows England have slipped way behind the top teams etc combined with the young inexperienced squad selection, I can’t see past a NZ win here today.

Was just looking at Efes before deciding to post the Madrid game! The more I look at the Efes spread, the more I’m inclined to leave it!
Valencia won’t stop Madrid scoring, my only concern would be Madrid will want to sure up their defence after their performance in the first half a few days back. All in all though, this total is too low!

Personally wouldn’t touch the spread bud. They’re more than capable of covering the spread but Valencia are no mugs and proved that in the previous game. I’d be surprised if they repeated the feat but the -7.5 is not one I’d back with too much confidence. Possibly inplay wouldn’t be a bad option as I expect Valencia to start well and Madrid to come back strong.
