ANDY MURRAY is still clinging to hope of French Open glory after a storm forced his semi-final with Novak Djokovic to be suspended on Friday.

The pair resume today with Murray 2-1 down in sets and locked at 3-3 in the fourth. The Scot looked dead and buried at after losing the first two sets but fought back superbly and the postponement came at the wrong time, halting his momentum.

Djokovic, bidding to complete the career Grand Slam, is still hot favourite to reach the final at 1-8 with Ladbrokes while Murray is 6-1 at bet365.

To win the fourth set it's 4-9 Djokovic at Ladbrokes and 7-4 Murray and here's hoping the Scot can complete a comeback win that would be the greatest of his career.

It's the women's final today and Serena Williams is struggling with flu but it's difficult to read too much into that as it didn't stop her battling back from a set down to oust Timea Bacsinszky in the semis.

Williams, aiming for her third French Open title, is 1-3 at Betfair while Lucie Safarova – who has yet to drop a set in the singles and is also through to the doubles final – is 5-2 at William Hill. This one could well go the distance and over 2.5 sets holds appeal at 13-8 with Paddy Power.

There's a busy day of action at the Dutch Masters darts as well as the likes of Test cricket and late-night boxing if you fancy a punt so let's hear your sporting tips and thoughts.

Murray to win @ 6/1 is great value and maybe the game getting stopped was a good thing he will be fresh again and maybe Dok has a seed of doubt in his mind now.

I’ve had a small double on him and stan to win. Can’t wait to watch the rest of this match, murrays really got to watch out when he first gets out there as novak could finish it off in 3 games!

We’re now moving into the finals in the euro bball with most games taking place tomorrow. Not sure if there will be anything from myself today but will study the few games that are available and see if there’s any value to be found!

Interesting continuation of the tennis match between Murray and Djokovic. Not one I’ll be betting on but will be watching and hoping for a Murray victory!

Got to be worth a punt on the Cardinals today against the Dodgers and Kershaw. I’m not sure if other team consistently hits him better (possibly Giants).

Granted Kershaw is looking much better after his slow start but the Cards are the best team in baseball right now and the Dodgers have a huge injury list including some key players.

At odds of @2.65, it’s well worth a go in my opinion. For me it should be around evens. Kershaw = inflated odds!

    Milan @ Dinamo Sassari (7:45pm)

It was only a few days ago I tipped Sassari to win this match at odds of 13/8 which duly landed. Today I’m a little more apprehensive but feel the odds are too good to pass up!

As mentioned in my previous write-up on Thursday, Sassari have been very impressive against Milano and currently lead the play-off series 3:1. Sassari are more than capable of causing another upset here or at the very least, lose by a small margin. They stunned Milano by beating them in game 1 by 9 points on the road and it wouldn’t surprise me if they repeated this feat. I did point out in the previous match that Sassari’s home advantage, with their electrifying home support could give them the edge and that theory did seem to prove the difference. Although Sassari are playing away from home today, they will be full of confidence, with little pressure and don’t have the added pressure of playing at home. Sassari did beat Milano away from home in the regular season back in February of this year so this Milano side are very beatable at home. Sassari will have to be at their defensive best and try and keep turnovers to a minimum which they’ve managed to do thus far in the series. Milano will look to slow the game down and break down the attacking rhythm that Sassari rely on (also worth looking at the unders for this reason). All said I think this has the makings of a closely fought encounter.

    Points Spread: Sassari +5.5 @ 7/4 Skybet

    Good luck!

The level of tennis these two are playing from a standing start today is quite incredible. Murray producing the goods to break at 5-5 for th second time. Come on!!!

Ad, Murray’s done well to win the set – going all the way now but still tough to call it.

@ ad im doing my boring usual barca or juve dc and then in play draw

@anyone interested, after losing a big bet last sunday,(tennis) i decided to hassle 365 for a free bet then lost it straight away cashed out at 30 pence and managed to turn 30p into 65 quid from monday to friday…
will post my run if anyone wants ?

just goes to show if you bet without fear of high odds ( i usually always go for evens doubles/trebles) then you really can go on some great runs.

    Good luck!

If ever there was a game of two halves that was it! Not quite sure what Sassari were playing at in the 3rd quarter but fair play to Milano for turning the tie around. To lose in the last few seconds from a deliberate but necessary foul was sickening. There was cover available after the 1st half but I was busy at the time and probably wouldn’t have covered anyway.

Mlac, well done bud. Glad you managed to find the right bets for yourself. ;)

Day off yesterday, sometimes it’s good to have a no bet day.

    Tonight’s MLB bets for me-
    Orioles @ Indians
    Over 6 runs @ 1.41
    Rays @ Mariners
    Under 8 runs @ 1.43

    Double @ 2.03

    Rays @ Mariners
    Rays @ 2.4
Going against Felix because the Mariners would struggle to score in a brothel at the moment, decent price too.

    Any UFC thoughts for tonight?

    • Dazid316 9 years ago

Dazzler I need to learn to have a no bet day, some crazy scores over the last few nights. Did you see the Yankees nearly throwing away 8-1 lead in the 9th inning? win 8-7

I didn’t get posting my MLB bet earlier as was watching the champions league final but I took SF Giants over 4.5 runs @ 11/10 came in easy in the 3rd inning so good start, still debating who go for in the later games or do runs again.

  22. Dazzler 9 years ago

Dazid I had a quick look yesterday saw the pitcher match ups and decided it was a day off. Nothing stood out and it would have been a hell of a lot of research to pick something. Didn’t see any of the scores, just goes to show what can happen in baseball though.

I do try and remember to have a day off at least every couple of weeks, as I find it helps in the long run and helps clear your head and focus. I would recommend it every now and then.

    Boxing

    Miguel Cotto v Daniel Geale

Miguel Cotto to win by KO/TKO @ 11/10

Under Freddie Roach Cotto looks back to his old self and has also stoped both opponents , Geale is a tough fighter and I wouldn’t expect a stoppage to the later stages but you rarely see a Cotto stoppage at this price and I’m gonna take a chance on it

Juan terrible card mate but I’m going to chuck a couple points on this double for interest. Nothing serious.

    Dustin Poirier
    Matt Mitrione

    11/10 @ WillHill

  25. Juan 9 years ago

Thanks Jordan, ill have a wee flutter for a bit of interest, been a long time since I watched any UFC so don’t know any of these guys! Is Anderson Spider Silva still fighting?

  26. Jordan 9 years ago

Juan as you may or may not know he broke his leg in his rematch against Weidmann then when he came back to fight Nick Diaz, he tested positive for performance enhancing drugs after it was finished, so he’s currently waiting for a hearing. Not sure if you saw a post I put up last week but I have a fairly big stake on Cain Velasquez to knockout Fabricio Werdum next weekend @ 5/6 and regain his heavyweight title.

  27. Juan 9 years ago

I didnt hear any of that Jordan as I say haven’t seen any in a long time, Brock Lesnar was getting a few beatings last time I viewed! The names Mirko Crocop, Andrey Orlowski & Tito Ortiz all stick in my mind….long time ago! Not sure if you follow the darts but I think MVG is a great bet tomorrow, he’s the best player in the world and is 11/10 to win outright, it’s the last 16 stage now. Lot of the best players are already out or didn’t enter, his 1st match tomorrow is Chisnall, if he can beat him the next highest ranked player will be number 8 in the world, who is a badly out of form Simon Whitlock. If he does beat Chisnall Kim Huybrechts will be only other remaining premier league player left in the comp. Plus it’s The Dutch Masters & he’s the last Dutchman left in it. Although only a best of 11 leg event I think he is a very good bet. If he beats Chisnall 1st game id imagine he will be long odds on as opposed to 11/10….definitely worth a bet

  28. Jordan 9 years ago

I watch the darts when nothing else is on mate but other than that it doesn’t really interest me mate. Got burned on the darts a while ago so I leave it now mate but thanks for the heads up. I imagine the chief will be on MVG.

  29. Juan 9 years ago

It can make u a quick buck or lose you one just as easy! The Premier League especially is almost impossible to predict as there isnt much between them on there day, and more importantly draws & relegation scenarios are involved, wouldn’t usually bother with these smaller events but if Taylor Anderson Lewis Barney Wade Wright Bunting were in it MVG would only be 2/1 or 3/1 at best, with none of those guys in it i really can’t look past him

      MLB (late 3am games)
      Treble @ 10.9/1
      St Louis Cardinals
      Tampa Bay Rays
      Arizona Diamondbacks

Cardinals & Rays both playing well at the min but there odds are both 13/8 due to starting pitchers of their opposition both away to tonight. Arizona are home playing Mets who are usually poor away.

Doing my treble with a twist too(long shot)
      Treble @ 22.77/1
      Arizona & Over 6.5 Runs
St Louis & Under 7.5 Runs
Tampa Bay & Under 8.5 Runs

Both trebles have £5 on them

  30. mlac 9 years ago

@picksx its very possibily as geale is highly weight drained. ive got cotto by points in my 14 fold :D

i wouldnt encourage anything more than low stakes on this one, i wouldnt even be surprised if geale won on points.

im trying to find something that has value in the ufc…
hendo v the other guy over 1.5 rounds seems decent (very low stakes :D )

  31. mlac 9 years ago

also got akmedov (spelling) to beat ebersole.

    just under evens.

  32. mlac 9 years ago

sorry to spam, but geale has re-hydrated to 182!!!
thats crazy. if cotto targets the body its all over…
will be on cotto KO on the in play…
