I FINALLY picked a winning double on Saturday thanks to both to score in the matches at Stabaek and Denmark v Sweden U-21s.
That paid 2-1 to reduce my losses and I also suggested btts at all three Norwegian matches but never posted it as a treble.
My first Super Single went down as Rosenborg were held by Molde but I did tip Alexander Soderlund to score first at 4-1. I posted a second SS but it was a fairly speculative 14-1 pick on Thiago Silva to score for Brazil at any time.
In my Brazil-Paraguay preview I tipped the draw at 27-10 so wasn't surprised by the final result with the Paraguyans going through after another bizarre shootout.
There are no Copa America or European Under-21 matches on Sunday and no women's World Cup matches either and maybe that's no bad thing as all three tournaments have tricked punters over the last fortnight.
That leaves with Norwegian and Finnish league matches and I've been having a look at them before deciding whether to put up any tips. There are plenty of friendlies, including St Johnstone and Aberdeen meeting at Brechin four days before both sides open their Europa League campaigns, so as usual if anyone has key team news on those matches they can post it here (thanks Greg).
In Norway there could be a few goals at Valerenga-Bodo Glimt. Before drawing 0-0 with Molde last time out Valerenga's previous five had gone over 2.5 goals including 4-2 and 5-4 wins. Bodo Glimt have conceded 10 goals in their last four games but also beaten Mjondalen 5-1 during that spell. Over 3.5 goals pays 20-19 at Ladbrokes.
Viking v Sarpsborg could see both score with Sarpsborg netting in five of their last six away games and Viking netting in their previous six. That pays 4-6 at bet365 and Betfred.
Tromso aren't the greatest side but must feel it when they face Haugesund. They have won the last five at home and are 5-6 with Coral to make it six in a row but it's worth noting they've only won once in front of their home fans this season.
Odd are unbeaten in seven away games as they head to Lillestrom and could be worth a look at 9-10 with BetVictor draw no bet.
Lillestrom could only draw with Sandefjord last time out and that ended a run of nine successive defeats for their rivals. Basement boys Sandefjord have conceded six to Molde, five to Rosenborg and four to Stabaek in recent weeks and you have to fear for them at Mjondalen who are 4-11 at bet365 and BetVictor.
In Finland second-placed RoPS have the best away record and could win at Jaro. They are 13-10 with BetVictor. The other game sees HIFK take on Mariehamm and a draw wouldn't be a surprise.
Having spent most of my team looking at the Norwegian games my Super Single is a double chance treble. I know this doesn't go down well with everyone but with three days of June to go I'm attempting to make up the 25pt loss if possible so 9pts on a 4-5 treble will give me a boost.
If you don't agree with this tactic don't have a rant – just leave it out. And if this treble fails I'll accept June's been a disastrous month and do at most two small bets on Monday and Tuesday before starting again in July.
I'm not chasing losses so allowing myself a 1pt Top Treble on RoPS not to lose, over 3.5 goals at Valerenga and Tromso to win.

There was a clear case to be made for backing them after such a good period of away form in comparison with the home teams dismal 3 straight losses, which was extended to 4 last night.

After looking at several games in various leagues, decided on the one that looks most mouth watering. Mjondalen vs Sandefjord in the Norwegian Tippeligaen at 5pm. I’d usually go for team goals, but something promising caught my pink eye.
Bookies anticipate BTTS coming in at 8/13, but Sandefjord have only scored 6 goals in 6 away games this season. The first two games they’ve scored in the second half, but since then, they’ve only scored in the first half.
In their last 5 away games, they’ve scored 4 first half goals and an uninspiring zilch in the second. Recently, they include big boys Rosenborg and Molde in a row with Erik Mjelde scoring in both of them (and confirmed playing today). Sandefjord to score 1+ FHG is 13/10. Maybe a factor is because they’re facing a team with defence of steel…
Nope, Mjondalen have conceded 16 goals in their last 5 league home games and have conceded 4 times in their last 5 first half games, including to strugglers Tromso. Yes they’re tipped to score in the first half (4/6), they’ve done so in 4 of their 5 games and shouldnt be an issue against the basement dwelling visitors with a pretty much non existent defence.
So whats the likelihood of seeing both scoring in the first half? Sandefjord scoring is 2/5 but I cant see that happening in the second half given recent run of play, coupled with scoring here for 4 seasons running and finishing 2-2 last season. The home team have conceded in 6 of their 7 home games this season, and the clean sheet came on day one.

Welcome to my country, Norway, Mr Fix… Betting on favourites is extremely risky in the tippeliga. Tippeligaen literally translates to betting league (after the national betting company). Betting on the league can be extemely difficult at times. I had 0-0 HT, under 1.5 mgs and under 2.5 mgs in Vålerenga. Glad I at least managed to cover the under 2.5 right before FT….
Erlend, if you at my preview I called all the Norwegian games correctly except Valerenga and even then managed the cover so wasn’t too bad.

I know it’s a long while until the PL kicks off again but it seems all the markets are more or less available and as Raal will tell you, the early bird gets the worm. I’m posting my main bet now because I can only see the prices worsening once everyone has started looking through the games and will no doubt be backing these teams heavily as usual. The bet is a double of Arsenal to score 2+ and Chelsea to win. These two teams will only strengthen over the next 5/6 weeks, and if some of the transfer rumours come true then I’d expect the prices to plummet on their opening games.
Arsenal have a much better record against west ham than I’d even realised. They’ve won the last 10 h2h and have scored 3+ in 6 of the last 7 against the hammers. Chelsea home and away v Swansea last season scored 4 and 5 goals respectively and looked like they executed the perfect plan to counter the Swans’ style. It’s hard to take form into account as most teams will have new signings and a different starting line up to what they ended the season with. However, both arsenal and Chelsea were very strong at home last season and the stats back this up. I’ve taken Chelsea to win, because although they’re capable of hitting a big score on their day, who would be surprised to see Mourinho close out a 1-0 scrappy win if Swansea looked a threat. Likewise I’ve taken arsenal to score 2+ rather than to win because again, who would be surprised to see arsenal blow a 2-0 lead!
