WIMBLEDON is just around the corner and former world No.1 Caroline Wozniacki hopes to head into the Grand Slam with her first title of 2015 under her belt.

The Dane tackles Johanna Konta's conqueror Belinda Bencic today for a place in the Eastourne final. The head-to-head record is one win apiece and Wozniacki is 2-5 at Sportingbet while Swiss starlet Bencic is priced up at 12-5 by bet365.

In the other last-four showdown Agnieszka Radwanska – Wimbledon runner-up in 2012 – is 4-9 favourite in her battle with Sloane Stephens, a 21-10 shot at Betfair.

It's also semi-final day at the ATP Nottingham where Marcos Baghdatis takes on Denis Istomin and Sam Querrey squares up to Alexandr Dolgopolov.

In Liverpool it's a big Friday fight night with Tony Bellew, Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding all looking to land a victory in front of their home crowd.

There's also the likes of cricket and Super League among the sporting highlights so let's hear your tips and thoughts and good luck with your bets.

I fancy Wozniacki in straight sets, to beat Bencic who looked very raw today, against a sick Konta who was clearly suffering and ran out of steam after the first set.

I will be looking out for the Wimbledon main draw tomorrow as I fancy some early first round upsets.

WasClueless, Outlaw and Smiler cheers guys, It was a good game and nice to get both scorer tips up inside 15mins!!

The players I tipped were also advised in the anytime wincast at 2/1 and a both to score anytime double at 3/1 which came in for anyone that followed.

HULL KR -4 TO BEAT CATALAN 10/11 WON
    SIO TO SCORE 1/1 WON
    DIXON TO SCORE 1/1 WON

“Sio and Dixon can be backed in anytime wincast at 2/1 or both to score anytime at 3/1 at Skybet and are worth considering”.

  3. Smiler 9 years ago

Chief I did your wincast picks also did Albert kelly anytime, couldn’t believe it when they were the 1st 3 try scorers thanks again mate good luck everyone

    NBA

    2015 Draft Bet

    * Emanuel Mudiay draft position 5th pick or lower @ 8/11 **WON**

If all goes to plan he should be the 5th pick in the draft, it’s touching cloth a bit as he should be exactly 5th but barring any trades should be a sure bet

  5. Picksix 9 years ago

    Well done thechief ,

Jordan you catch any of the draft , the heat got a steal with Winslow at 10th pick I don’t know why anyone didn’t take him before that , the knicks booed there pick off the stage aswell haha

  6. Picksix 9 years ago

    Boxing

    Total rounds

    * Smith vs Rebrasse 6th round and over
Fielding vs Vera 9th round and over

    Double @ 10/11

    Add

    Bradley vs Vargas

    * Timothy Bradley by Decision / Tech Decision

    Treble @ 15/8

    * Rocky Fielding vs Brian Vera to go the distance @ 10/11

Both British fighters stepping up in class here maybe the toughest openents each fighter has fought so I’m expecting a few rounds in both fights , as for Bradley although I think he is declining he should win this one , Vargas is a simulair fighter both will be cautious and this has no chance of both fighters slugging it out so Im expecting a boring fight with Bradley winning on points

  7. WasClueless 9 years ago

Great tipping the Chief!! Hope you put one up for the other Hull game tonight!

  8. tomekplnd 9 years ago

Anyone got any advice for the dolgopolov – queerey match?

    • Ad 9 years ago

Queerly comes back from a set and a break down to make the final :)

  9. Joe 9 years ago

    Over 23.5 games

  10. Jordan 9 years ago

Picksix I did mate. Yeah the Knicks traded for that Grant guy though so after the fans were going crazy haha

That Croatian guy from Barcelona looks like he could be a good player. Can’t remember who drafted him. Maybe Orlando?? Interesting the Lakers drafted that PG rather than Okafor. Looks decent though. Have some idea about next years prop bets already which is good. Timberwolves are going to be a good young side.

  11. DK 9 years ago

    T20 blast action tonight

Nottinghamshire to beat derbyshire 1/2 – 10 points

The difference in quality between the 2 sides is huge and 1/2 is a steal.

Can double it with yorkshire for a 1.3/1 double but i won’t be doing this.

  12. WasClueless 9 years ago

DK – good tip – have gone with the double – are you backing anything in the Ashes?? thanks!

  13. DK 9 years ago

WasClueless, not placed a bet at the minute as usually do it a day or 2 before, however I have had a look at the markets.

365 doing a batsmen match bet.

Root vs bell.. Fancy root at 4/6
Smith vs warner.. Warner at 4/5

Both great prices with root in great form and bell been struggling recently at international level.

Smith is the number 1 test batsmen in the world and his consistency should be enough to win this bet as warner is more hit and miss.

  14. WasClueless 9 years ago

DK – appreciate that … both look very strong tips!!

  15. Ad 9 years ago

Only had one quick look at the draw but initial thoughts on the men’s for Wimbledon are:
    Fed @ 15/2
    Stan @ 19/1
    Jo @ 80/1

Will be back with a full length preview of both men’s and women’s over the weekend. Looking forward to dissecting it all and finding some value

Ad, apologies for the late reply the site won’t let me post off my phone! Do you not feel Djokovic has been playing differently of late, it seems like he’s almost protecting himself. Mentioned this to a friend and he said that Djokovic actually hadn’t been playing in events he usually does (I can’t remember if this is true or not). Seen that he’s just lost in The Boodles in straight sets though!

As for Stan, do you go with the thoughts he crashed out of Queen’s by not putting in enough effort to save himself for Wimbledon?

  16. Reidy1987 9 years ago

Fancy smith on points and Vera fight to go distance Vera could b a decent bet at 3-1 but weather get decision in Liverpool a diff story

  17. Picksix 9 years ago

Ye mate hes a good player

I liked the pick for the lakers Russell’s got skills , im guessing there plan was to take Russell over okafor and try and get kevin love ,

Feel sorry for okafor though a shame he’s ended up in philly

Mudiay was probably even happier than myself he got drafted lower , Goin to the nuggets over the knicks

  18. mlac 9 years ago

im waiting for over 7.5 rounds for smith, where did u get that @ picksx?
think he’ll probobly get the ‘british stoppage’ tko late on. rebrasse has no power to keep smith off, comparing the groves fight to this is not a good marker, since groves stopped paul smith in a few rounds yet he nearly went the distance with ‘s.o.g’ ward..

  19. tomekplnd 9 years ago

The Timberwolves are no doubt going to be an interesting side to watch next year – wiggins, Martin and now towns will definitely push the wolves higher up compared to last year.

  20. Picksix 9 years ago

    Mlac Skybet mate

I know mate I’m a bit wary of smith as he could easily finish it within 3 , i think it’s not too much too ask for rebrasse to hold it out til the 6th though, as long as rebrasse is throwing punches back early smith will take a more cautious approach as in the fight with sjekloka , ide say a smith win by stoppage in the 8th/9th

  21. Ad 9 years ago

Querrey comes form a set and a break down to make the final :)

  22. Felix 9 years ago

the Boodles is just exhibition tennis really, wouldn’t take much from it. Djokovic clearly playing within himself

  23. Juan 9 years ago

Nice one AD, lots of retirements the week before a Grand Slam it makes a joke of the tournaments they really should have smaller events and finish them on a Thursday or Friday to give players time to recover. Do you think anyone can stop Serena on the grass?

  24. Ad 9 years ago

Jack- not sure about Novak. He’s been pretty imperious this year. There has been a little chink of vulnerability in the armour seen at times, but generally he’s looked like the best player in the world for most of 2015.
I can’t think of a tournament he’s missed that usually plays off the top of my head, but maybe he has. He hasn’t played pre Wimbledon grass court tennis since 2009 I don’t think. Surprised to see him lose today. From what little I’ve seen of Zverev he looks to have it all, and I was telling people 18 months ago he will win the French within 5 years. Today might not have meant much for Novak, though it’s hardly encouraging, but it could be huge for the youngster.

As for Stan, I think it would be silly to read much into his loss at queens. He’s coming off a massive moment in his career and life, has both that and Wimbledon on his mind, and he got beaten in two tiebreaks by Kevin Anderson on grass. There’s no shame in that at all. His draw looks decent so I’m hoping he’ll go deep. 19/1 is big.

Serena…I certainly won’t be on her, though her early round matches look a breeze. I think there’s better value elsewhere. I’ve not picked the women’s or men’s apart properly yet. Safarova looks to have a fairly decent route through, and as I backed her after the French it would be rude not to stick with her

    • Jack 9 years ago

Ad, thinking of splitting my stake something like 40% each on Djokovic and Murray and 20% on Stan. if Novak wins its a slight loss, if the others win, very decent profit?

  25. Jordan 9 years ago

Tom you forgot Zach ‘Dunk Champion’ LaVine with Ricky Rubio at Point Guard. They’re going to be beasting and feasting.

  26. Jordan 9 years ago

I forgot they also got Dukes Tyus Jones for back up for Rubio. Very young team but they’ll be hungry.

Evening Guys, Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos

It is the second Quarter final tonight at the KC Stadium as the black and white side of Humberside attempt to follow the Red side of Humberside into the semi finals. It should be a close game and Leeds, the cup holders are the 4/7 favourites to pick up an away win.

These two sides met on Sunday in a bad tempered derby, Leeds won 32-20 but that was at Headingley so the black and whites with a passionate crowd behind them will be going hell for leather for revenge. The game was marred by a terrible tackle by Hull’s Marc Sneyd who received a 2 game ban and therefore misses this game. Leeds have Danny Maguire out who was on the receiving end of Sneyd tackle and prop Adam Cuthburtson missing.

I fancy Leeds to edge home tonight if they keep their composure. I think it will be a close game, and a fiery one but I suspect with both sides only playing 5 days ago I feel the game will be won in the final quarter when one side tires. Leeds have the better backline and can call on Rob Burrow from the bench to run at a tiring Hull pack. I’m taking Leeds -2 on the handicap at 10/11 Bet365.

In the try scorer market I will be going back to backing one from each side. Leeds backline is very impressive but both wingers are odds on and not in the best of form, so I am going for Centre Joel Moon. He only as 7 tries in 19 games this season, he is more a provider than a scorer however he as crossed 5 times in his last 7 games and scored 2 last week against Hull. He is 2/1 Ladbrokes. For Hull I am sticking with a player who delivered for me last time I put him up and that is the big Tongan winger Fetuli Talanoa. Tom Lineham Hull’s top try scorer is back tonight so Leeds cant just focus on Talanoa side of the pitch and that could lead to him getting more ball in hand, he is 6/4 Skybet.

LEEDS -2 TO BEAT HULL 10/11
    MOON TO SCORE 2/1
    TALANOA TO SCORE 6/4

Good luck if your having a bet

  28. WasClueless 9 years ago

    On it the chief GL!!

  29. WasClueless 9 years ago

    There’s the Moon try :)

  30. Smiler 9 years ago

Chief I have went with keinhorst. Ablett. And handlley, anytime try scorer any chance you could post abit earlier buddy as I rate your knowledge much better than mine thanks

  31. Gunner 9 years ago

Boom! Great stuff Chief! Was on Moon to score as well. Nice tip son

  32. thechief 9 years ago

Gunner, Smiler, Picksix and Gunner cheers Guys :D

LEEDS -2 TO BEAT HULL 10/11 WON
    MOON TO SCORE 2/1 WON
    TALANOA TO SCORE 6/4 LOST

Leeds were giving up 6pts earlier this week and 4pts in shops today, so I know plenty of experts fancied Hull tonight, especially on the handicap but you got stay true to what you watch and believe.

  33. thechief 9 years ago

WasClueless, Cheers mate repeated the same name twice, sorry!

  34. thechief 9 years ago

Smiler, I will try mate, I do try and post well in advance when I can, however I am someone who likes to give reasoning behind my tips that’s why I do the write ups but if it looks like I am pushed for time I will post just the tips without the reasoning behind them.

You had great success on the scorers last night, would have made a nice trifecta :)

  35. DK 9 years ago

Poor from me tonight boys. Didnt expect derbyshire to hit 200. Even when they did i thought we could be in for an alex hales special but when he fell 1st ball notts were really up against it.

    Notts to beat derbyshire **LOSE**

  36. Picksix 9 years ago

WTF was Brian Vera playing at?

Was like watching a 10 year old fighting

Spoils the whole bets, the others will land no doubt , aw well 11 winners in a row has to come to an end

    Boxing

    Total rounds

    * Smith vs Rebrasse 6th round and over (lose)
Fielding vs Vera 9th round and over (won)

    Double @ 10/11 **LOSE**

    Add

    Bradley vs Vargas

    * Timothy Bradley by Decision / Tech Decision

    Treble @ 15/8

    * Rocky Fielding vs Brian Vera to go the distance @ 10/11 (Lose)
    **LOSE**

Both British fighters stepping up in class here maybe the toughest openents each fighter has fought so I’m expecting a few rounds in both fights , as for Bradley although I think he is declining he should win this one , Vargas is a simulair fighter both will be cautious and this has no chance of both fighters slugging it out so Im expecting a boring fight with Bradley winning on points

  37. mlac 9 years ago

@picksx you mean wtf was the reff doing?
disgraceful. he literally does it every single fight, worse than howard john foster.

tbh though vera looked shot to bits, he was probobly going down later regardless m8.

hopefully bradley will win me back my stake tommorow, if there is a robbery (which is likely, + considering bradleys last fight…)
if it isnt fixed bradley should win by ud every day of the week, vargas has struggled with tin cans…

  38. Picksix 9 years ago

Disgraceful mate I know but wouldn’t have gone past the 4th Anyway, schoolboy error on that last knockdown

Will end up going big on the bradley decision myself tomorow night , no fights for a month now anyway until Scott quigg wins on points next month so might aswell go for it

  39. Picksix 9 years ago

Also no basketball so it will be my last bet for a while until then as I will be out of my comfort zone, might have a fun bet on naming the Wimbledon finalists just for a watch , Mlac do they do markets like that for tennis

  40. Smiler 9 years ago

Cheers chief, glad you guys got a winner just sticking to mainly singles following raal s advice good luck at the weekend lads
