TopTips_10Bet

ON a quiet day I put up just one selection but unfortunately RoPS failed to hang on to their early lead against Inter Turku.

Cover was available at 1-0 but I wasn't around to advise it although I'm sure plenty would have taken that option.

I also suggested a 1-2 double on RoPS and Peru not to lose and that should come in for those who preferred that to the RoPS win.

Late on Friday the big game is the Copa America quarter-final between Argentina and Colombia and my initial thoughts are a win for Argentina with Aguero fit after being badly missed against Jamaica. Neither team though have impressed in the tournament so far but we know Argentina have the talent to make it happen.

Colombia produced the goods to beat Brazil but picking up just one point from meetings against Peru and Venezuela meant they finished third and a tough quarter-final. Radamel Falcao has struggled, Carlos Bacca is suspended and Atletico Madrid new boy Jackson Martinez not picked so it could be a struggle up top for Jose Pekerman’s side.

Argentina have dominated possession in all three of their matches and the World Cup finalists have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven despite the emphasis being on superstar forwards Aguero and Lionel Messi.

The last five meetings between the sides have produced just seven goals and unless Argentina find their shooting boots it could be another low scorer with under 2.5 goals paying 11-20 at sportingbet and under 1.5 goals returning 17-10 with BetVictor.

Having correctly tipped Chile and Peru to win the first two quarters I'm standing by my antepost picks Argentina to win (I also backed Chile so I'd be happy with a Chile-Argentina final) as one of my Super Singles.

My second one is both to score at Dundalk v Limerick based on stats and the fact you can get 7-4. Stats say seven of the last eight meetings have seen both score and while Dundalk have dominated the League of Ireland for the last two seasons they have won just four of their last 10 meetings against Limerick.

Before the mini break they were wobbling and suffered their first defeat of the season against Bohemians. They are extremely short to win but btts is worth a go when stats back it up and it pays almost 2-1.

Both to score has been confidently predicted at Bohemians v Drogheda and that starts my Top Treble. Seven of Bohemians last eight games have brought up this market while Drogheda have netted in five of their last six.

Add Cork to win at a struggling Derry and St Pat's at a short price to take care of Longford at home for a treble that returns just under 4-1.

Cards in Bolivia Peru getting backed, now down to 1.67 for over 5 Asian cards on 365. Il be backing cards again like last night small bet. But not at these odds, so hopefully it appears in play on 365

  5. Jordan 9 years ago

Tee I posted on the old thread before mate. Won’t be in play on 365 but bookies such as Skybet and Ladbrokes will have live booking points. 888 might do too and WillHill might have total live cards.

Was 19/20 for Over 50.5 booking points yesterday but now 7/10.

Yeah Jordan I saw that post, got a skybet account but no funds in it. Have 3 accounts, 365, betfair and skybet but only really use 365 at the mo(not that there’s loads of money in there!) shame it won’t be in play at 365 as I fancy cards but not taking what’s on offer

  27. Jordan 9 years ago

Asking myself the same question Tee mate. Had Peru to score before the 80th minute and RT9 priced up at HT but backed out of that too. Not to worry. Only a tenner lost. Hopefully the luck of the Irish is with me tonight. Night mate.

  29. Alves 9 years ago

On Nadal, 9/1’s a great price for getting to the final giving he’s as low as 10/1 to win it elsewhere. Generally 12/1 & 14/1 but only 1 bookie goes 18/1, defo worth a fiver tho if he gets a decent draw

    • Jack 9 years ago

Alves, great price considering the others however Nadal is not the Nadal of old. He has worn his body out far too much and I would say Murray, Djokovic, Federer, Wawrinka, Nishikori and possibly some others would all beat him on grass.

Bad day at office yesterday for me but I can cope with that one day in seven. Looked at a number of leagues for tonight and the system has thrown up this healthy treble paying 1.5/1. I’m only going 5 points though as not over confident. Prefer this type however as kick offs are staggered and first one should be the banker. Touch wood.

cheers everyone was kicking myself this morning for not backing the hat trick @ 66/1 but u cant win them all i guess and a decent nights work at least

ive got to say i watched the first half and peru are pherhaps the second most convincing side ive seen all tournement just slighty behind chillie

i dont trust south americans (no offense to anyone) and have my suspicions of corruption in this tournement , been far too many “coincidences” for my liking

this puts me off argentina & colombia tonight as ive a funny feeling a FT 1-1 draw and penalty shootout is on its way to us

need to do some more research & got a busy day in work but hoping to get something up by end of the night

    GERMANY WOMEN V FRANCE WOMEN

Germany are around EVENS to win tonight and I think they will. The value however is in the 2/1 to win the tournament, tipped a while back, and still available with Ladbrokes. For me if they get past France they will win the tournament.

austrians mattetsburg play a friendly tonight at 6pm against a poor hungarian side szombathelyi, interestingly mattetsburg somehow lost a friendly on tuesday 15-0 to a lower ranked austrian side bad tatzmansdorf
can’t find any info on how or why the 15-0 occurred but if anyone has any ideas feel free
the hungarians are 15-8 to win today but aren’t a good side, however if mattetsburg put out the same side that lost 15-0 it will be bet of the year

Looked at blackbird using soccervista and see the away side in 5 away games have drawn one 0-0 and lost the rest with a 0 goals for and 11 goals against.
they seem useless away from home and a -1 asian for blackbird at 1.85 seems a decent shout. Not expecting loads of goals but blackbird is one of the better sides in that league. On it myself but not a normal stake. Cant be too confident of these lower level sides

    Howdy Folks

Sorry for the copy and paste job

    Galway United v Shamrock Rovers.
Steve Earle may be looking for a Galway Girl but I will settle for a Galway Goal. With Rovers’ minds elsewhere (potentially) there is no reason not to think that Galway can go someway to an upset here.

I have mentioned before that Galway are a better side than their position suggests. Rovers manager, Pat Fenlon, is of a similiar opinion as he told the club website.

“Galway are a decent side this year, and we would expect a good game from them on Friday night. They have actually been a bit unlucky so far this season, and I think they are better than their league position would suggest”.

Rovers are also heading into tonight’s game with a bad spate of injuries. Five players who would all be considered first team squad members will be missing. Worse than that their top scorer, Michael Drennan, will have to sit out the game through suspension.

Galway added to their squad over the break with two new signings which should help freshen things up a little. Can it go all the way to causing a shock? That’s a big ask but a goal certainly isn’t beyond them.

They have scored in all but one of their thirteen home games this season with 22 goals to show for it. Rovers were associated with being a team that is hard to break down earlier in the season but of late they have been leakier with four goals against in their last four games. Even goal shy, ten men Derry City managed to grab one.

One or more goal for Galway tonight pays 1.7(7/10) with Boylesports and that’s where I will be taking my chances.

    Derry City v Cork City.
As mentioned above Derry have been very goal shy this season. The one time I have watched them live I saw at first hand that they are a half decent, well organised side. On the other hand they looked like they couldn’t hit a barn door.

They have managed to score in their last two matches and that makes three of their last five. But in total this season that’s just nine out of twenty-one games they have scored in. It’s not even any better at home with goals in just three of their nine games.

Against a mean defence like Cork City’s the faltering Derry City attack could be blustering away for some time without much success. Particularly when you consider Cork have kept six clean sheets in their ten away matches this season.

Cork have in fact got the second meanest defence on the league with just nine goals against in seventeen games, one goal more than Dundalk.

All this points to a little value in the correct score markets for a Cork City win to nil. You can back Cork to win 1-0 at 6/1 with 888Sport or back them to win 2-0 at 8.5(15/2) with Paddy Power and McBookie.

A split stake on these outcomes could see a handsome return but be prepared to lay off score lines if and when they come in.

    Recommended bets.
Galway +0.5 Team Goals @ 1.7 with Boylesports.
Derry City v Cork City, 0-2 Correct Score @ 8.5 with Paddy Power.
    Derry City v Cork City, 0-1 Correct Score @ 6/1 with 888Sport.

    Hi all,

First off a big thanks to Jordan et al for the cards tip on the Peru game. Anyone think tonight’s Argie game also has the potential to go overs. I’m only getting 19/20 on Ladbrokes for over 65 points but think this has potential with the fiery South Americans.

    Cheers

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Carl D, any of these matches has the potential for loads of cards. I’d like to look at the stats before backing 7 bookings or over which is quite a lot and will do so later if I get a chance.

  56. Harry 9 years ago

CC I like your SS mate. Was available at 20/21 last night which has dropped quote quickly. Not a tip but I’ve got a very small stake on a btts & win trixie of HJK, Fylkir, Bohemians. So hopefully Ilves get us an early goal!

  57. Carl D 9 years ago

    Cheers MrF,

I am contemplating the overs on the card and the history suggests that both sides are susceptible to accumulating bookings. Messi is always a marked man, as is aguero if he plays. The fouls against both of these did make me lean towards Columbia to get most booking points @ 3/4 but then after factoring in the likes of Zabeleta v Curadrado, mascherano, Rojo etc overs looks the call. We could also see some gamesmanship resulting in a few bookings and possibly dives been given.

Will think on but any other info/thoughts are welcome.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Carl D, I wouldn’t put anyone off backing the overs – just wish the bar was set a bit lower. If as I expect Argentina score first the Colombians could lose their discipline.

  58. Daniel 9 years ago

    I am thinking:

    Bet 1: Cork Win @1,83
    Bet 2: Under 2,5 Goals @1,75

I expect both to be good outcomes and should one of them not be the case I feel pretty sure the other will return a sort of cover.

    What You Think?

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Daniel, I’d prefer the Cork win – three of their last six have gone under 1.5 but the other three went over 3.5. Right, off to walk the dug then concentrate fully on a Brazil-Paraguay write-up and that looks a tough one to call.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Daniel. Cork City Win and Under 3.5 Goals pays 13/10 @ Boylesports and Stan James.

  59. Daniel 9 years ago

I See Mr.F But the Under 2,5 is also a “cover” of a possible draw, a 2-1 Derry or above would see me loosing both, but that looks Very unlikely, right?

2-2. Home side ended the game with nine men. With ten men on the field they were all over them. Had a chance to cover but I’m not a fan of that. You make a judgement call you should stick to it IMO.

  70. dom 9 years ago

robbo – regarding mattersburg, I have seen different results on different sites. One says Matters won 15-0 and another that they lost 15-0???

  71. dom 9 years ago

Looks like they WON 15-0. Soccerway has it wrong. Their opponents today look pretty lame. Could be another mauling??

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

dom, I wondered about – it doesn’t look possible that they could have lost 15-0 but a 15-0 win doesn’t seem unlikely.

Argentina v Columbia have been 2 real let downs so I’ve a feeling tonight’s could be s cracker!?
Personally hope Columbia win but Argentina probably pull it out the bag. :|
Got Chile v Columbia finalists 10/1 skybet after Chile won there opener so here’s hoping. Also hoping Martinez starts for Columbia, guy needs a chance 8/1 first goal skybet

Great game be nice an about time at very least!

  74. dom 9 years ago

mr f, the team they beat 15-0 don’t seem to have played very much in the last year. They don’t seem a professional outfit

    Lads,

The Austrians definitely WON 15-0 and changed pretty much the whole side at half time. Clearly the outfit they played were hopeless and part timers, hence limited information available. Always helps to check the official site :)

it seems you cannot bet on the austria vienna game anywhere…

  88. JJY 9 years ago

I’ve looked at tonight’s match it’s a complicated one for sure but i think I’ve got a hold on it

The markets are heavily favouring a low scoring affair quotes of 17/20 for a quite frankly severely underwhelming Argentina to win outright are to be avoided like the plague, 4/1 for a 1-0 argentine win is also a joke

So far The Copa America has made a mockery out of punters and i don’t expect it to end tonight

Everyone seems to have written Colombia off but as poor as they have been they stepped up to the plate against brazil in the group stages and won, I’ve watched them closely and they do get players in good positions but just seem to find it difficult to break organised defences down

Argentina on the other hand are yet to play anyone of any real quality and i assume will play to win , their full backs like playing high up the pitch, leaving gaping holes for the likes of Mr. Martinez and Rodriguez to slot into

In my opinion for two sides which such quality up front (yes i am aware they are yet to show it) i think it’s about time for them to start producing a few goals

    O/ 2.5 match goals looks decent @ 6/4

    O/ 3.5 match goals @ 4/1 even better

For the very brave of you both teams to score in both halves @ 33/1 seems in my opinion overpriced

Also both teams to score in the first half at 11/2 seems good

    Now onto goalscorers

Personally i don’t rate messi yea sure he’s great at club level and can score some amazing goals, BUT he can’t seem to do it for his country was poor in the world cup and has been poor all tournament his prices are also often ridiculously short for someone who is essentially a glorified winger

If anyone’s going to score for Argentina tonight it will be Aguero or possibly Tevez if he starts, higuain is of course the wild card but i think he will be overshadowed by the mastery of Mr. Aguero

Sergio lives for these types of games and even if the rest of the team is sluggish i think he’s capable of burying one

Sergio aguero anytime @ 6/4 if you have confidence in Argentina

But this is how my money will be laid out tonight

    Colombia straight win @ 9/2

    O/2.5 match goals @6/4

    O/3.5 match goals @4/1

Btts in both halves @33/1 (small stake)

Both teams to score in first half @11/2 (small stake)
Prices have probably fluctuated a bit since i last checked

i am advising caution on following me I’m fully aware I’m going against the stats but this competition doesn’t seem to care for them anyway

my write up explains why I’m going against the grain and i am in profit after last night so can afford to have some fun

    Good luck

    • Jack 9 years ago

I like the difference in your post and great insight!
However, I’m not sure on your actually footballing brain mate, I get that Messi isn’t the best for Argentina, to be fair in the WC, Di Maria was useless and Aguero was mostly injured so he had not the best around him. To call him a glorified winger though borders on utter madness!
I’m on Messi to score first @ 3/1 but good luck on your Aguero and BTTS bets!

  89. Mattr 9 years ago

    Germany v France woman

    Goal before 32 minutes

    5/6

  90. Mattr 9 years ago

Don’t rate Messi? People just expect so much from him. He won best player in WC because he had more successful passes, dribbles and chances created than any other player. Yet because he didn’t do anything of pure genius he was poor?

  91. Sam 9 years ago

what do you guys reckon is a safer bet tonight – argentina to beat colombia or germany to beat france? Deciding between the two…

    • the watcher 9 years ago

      Argentina draw 1-1
      Germany women draw 1-1
Colombia win on pens after 90 mins.
Germany women win in extra time.

Recoba, hope you spotted Lokomotiva Zagreb game in-play? Backed them at 5/6 to win in-play, currently 3-0 up (apologies didn’t have time to post at the time as driving)! :-)

  93. Jordan 9 years ago

Going by recent performances Sam I’d take the Germans as although the French are good, at the end of the day, they’re still women playing a mans game. Sexist, perhaps. Bothered, no.

  94. Alves 9 years ago

Jack only stuck a fiver on but that looks unlikely as he’s got to get by Ferrer, Federer and Murray. As long as he gets to semis I’ll be happy as it’s a win win

  95. Jordan 9 years ago

Harry same story for me in the Estonia game that’s 3-2 at the moment. Fancied the home side scoring and I reckon you would have had over 10/1 for them to score twice.

    • Fitba Tips 9 years ago

      Dundalk v BATE?

Not too well I don’t think although you never know.

Stephen Kenny masterminded a 0-0 draw for Derry City against PSG a few years back before he came to Scotland.

The difference in set ups between Dundalk and BATE is, well, startling.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

It was a joke Mr F haha, after Bray scoring I would have fancied it, then again I also questioned myself why you didn’t take the BTTS and win but that’s one for the hindsight manual.

Had a look at a few of the games in the Europa on Thursday but there could be a few possible land mines. Need to delve a bit deeper but hesitant as they’re two legs. West Ham slightly too short @ 1/66 now :)
