FREJ … I won’t remember the name in a hurry. My mini recovery was halted by the Swedes with the rest of my tips on the Super Single (a double) and Top Treble coming in.
That means it was a 10pts loss on a day I felt confident of landing my two main bets.
On Wednesday there are two more European Under-21 games with England facing Italy and Portugal up against Sweden while in the first of the Copa America quarter-finals hosts Chile will be well backed against Uruguay.
There are reports Uruguay’s star striker Edinson Cavani could miss the game after his father Luis knocked down and killed a 19-year old motorcyclist on Monday night in Uruguay. PSG star Cavani hasn’t yet said if he’ll return to his homeland and it’s one worth keeping an eye on.
Chile have been the outstanding team of the tournament and I fancy them to win – and I’m sure their price will shorten if Cavani rules himself out. And in case he does I’m putting them up now as the Super Single – with Uruguay struggling to score with or without Cavani.
Seven points on Chile is a lot but they’ve netted 10 in three games and the only worry was that 3-3 draw with Mexico although they had so many chances to win it. Uruguay are of course missing Luis Suarez, Radamel Falcao has done nothing in this event and now they have the Cavani issue.
On the positive side for them they are holders, have lost just one of their last 10 matches and welcome back skipper Diego Godin from suspension.
Chile will have a massive support and the only worry is whether they collapse under the weight of expectattion but with stars such as Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas on the pitch they should cope.
Elsewhere there are Norwegian Cup matches to look at including Molde v Kvik Halden, Rosenborg v Tromsdalen, Hoenefoss v Sandefjord and Stabaek v Strommen. The likes of Molde and Rosenborg are 1-16 but I’d assume they’ll play weakened sides ahead of their league meeting on Friday. Stabaek are also short but they meet Stromsgodset in two days.
I’ve not had time today to look for team news but some goals bets on the Norwegian games wouldn’t be out of the question for those who fancied it.
I’ve got three points to play with today and I’m risking two on under 2.5 goals in the Under-21 games. Three out of four matches in Group B have gone under 1.5 and Portugal who haven’t conceded yet. They need a draw to guarantee qualification so could keep it tight against the Swedes.
England and Italy have both been disappointments. After a 1-0 defeat to Portugal it took the English more than 80 minutes to break through against Sweden and they look like facing another close contest with Italy who have picked up one point and one goal from their two outings.

Meanwhile, Raaljaca’s goals thread started recently and he’s asking for donations to two cancer charities.
