THE Super Singles have “controversially” been doubles and trebles over the last two days but the change of tact has brought two winners.
On Sunday I won 8pts on a treble and on Monday I put up a 4-5 double that came in thanks to HJK to win and Norway Women to score.
I’m attempting to reduce losses by putting up less risky picks even if they’re not singles. I’d rather put up proper Super Singles but as long as these type of bets win I’m happy and an 18pts loss is manageable and still one I can turn round before the end of the month.
For the Top Treble I put up HJK and RoPS who both won convincingly as well as Norway Women not to lose against England in the World Cup. I was about to suggest cover on England to win when they equalised but even at 1-1 I managed to advise backing the English to win at 5-1.
So while the treble was beaten there is no damage done after England’s 2-1 win and they’ll expect to beat hosts Canada in the quarter-finals.
On Tuesday we’re back at the European Under-21 Championship with hosts Czech Republic facing Germany and Denmark meeting Serbia. All four sides in Group A can still qualify and a draw will put the Czechs and Germans through if Serbia win.
Germany boss Horst Hrubesch says his men won’t play for the point that guarantees qualification and a place in the 2016 Olympics but much could depend on how the other game which kicks off at the same time is playing out.
The Czechs lost to Denmark then sizzled as they smashed Serbia 4-0 while Germany were held by Serbia then dumped the Danes so there’s been no consistency. I don’t see pre-tournament favourites Germany losing so on the Super Single I’m taking Germany draw no bet at a best 4-11 with bet365 doubled with Frej draw no bet against Brommopojkarna in the Swedish second tier.
Frej have conceded once in six home games and have notched five successive clean sheets. Brommapojkarna sit bottom of the table and have lost their last five away. They have some fight in them but Frej shouldn’t lose and are likely to win.
If both sides draw the stake is returned while if one wins and one loses it becomes a single – a real single. The price is 11-10 and not 2-1 as I said earlier – that includes Frej to win. Sorry bout that.
The Top Treble takes Frej, Germany U-21s and Denmark Under-21s all not to lose.
The women’s World Cup game kicks off at 3am with the impressive Japan facing Holland and it should be another narrow victor for defending champions Japan who won all three of their group games 1-0 and face a Dutch side who scrambled through as a best third-place side.
