I DIDN'T put up any football tips on Saturday but maybe I should have.
My suggestions were wins for Russia in the Confederations Cup opener and Portugal and Spain to win their Europan Under-21 finals openers. That would have been a decent treble.
My only points went on a US Open twoball double and while Patrick Reed won easily I was let down by Hideki Matsuyama who was surprisngly outscored by Brandt Snedeker on another day of drama.
I posted a Confederations Cup preview on Friday and suggested wins for Portugal against Mexico and Chile against Cameroon. That's still my belief but for a Super Single I'm on a double – Portugal not to lose and Chile to win at just over evens.
Elsewhere there are more matches from the Under-21 finals with Germany hot favourites to beat the Czech Republic and Italy the same price against Denmark. The double pays 17-10 at William Hill.
