NOVAK DJOKOVIC has been cut from 5-1 to 7-4 by Coral to complete the calendar Grand Slam in 2016 after the world No.1 won his first French Open title yesterday.
Andy Murray is 5-2 to bounce back by winning Wimbledon for the second time, Djokovic is the 4-5 odds-on favourite to defend his title while Roger Federer can be backed at 9-1.
Coral spokesman John Hill said: “Djokovic fell just one short of the calendar Grand Slam last year but after winning the French Open, his odds have come crashing down to go one better this time around where he would join an elite club who have won all four Grand Slams in the same calendar year.
“Murray will be extremely popular with patriotic British punters to bounce back at Wimbledon where he has just Djokovic ahead of him in the betting for SW19.”
The build-up to Wimbledon begins in earnest today with ATP and WTA action from Holland and Germany.

The line being at 12 could be considered high but in the two completed 50 over matches at Hove last season there were 29 6’s. Sussex and Essex averaged 3.6 and 3.4 6’s per game respectively but I’m siding with the overriding factor being the location. Also hoping that the weather over the last couple of days (and predicted weather today) will mean a flat pitch favouring the batsman. It’s a day-nighter but again with the weather can’t see that having a massive impact.

I thought that sounded like a good bet myself and even more surprised to see that coral have the line set at 9.5 sixes @ 6/5.
Could be a lump job unless maybe wicket isn’t as good as expected. Obviously most teams pace themselves in ODI but the longer you go without losing a wicket a set batsmen can hit the go button or towards end of an innings with wickets in hand
Yep, good spot mate, although it’s up to 10.5 now. Haven’t got a Coral account myself, as it looks like they’ll only offer this market on the televised games. To be honest I struggle to find anyone other than 365 who offer these markets on non-televised games. You know any others?
Regarding the wicket it’s nigh on impossible to get any decent info for county games but in this instance you’d have to think it’ll be flat given the recent weather.
Over odds drifted substantially to 2.62 on 365 so going to have another point at those odds.
