FOOTBALL really is a funny old game. Like many others I watched the World Cup semi-final in shock as my tip Germany piled seven past Brazil.

It was one of the biggest shocks in history in terms of the margin of scoreline and it's funny to look back at the debate on the site before the game.

I flagged up Germany the minute Neymar was ruled out but pointed to skipper Thiago Silva's absence as more damaging and so it proved as the defence fell apart.

But while I predicted Germany to win in 90 minutes at 9-5 and took Germany to qualify at 10-11 as the Super Single I was never over-confident about the outcome.

Plenty of people took the view the home crowd would cheer Brazil to glory on a wave of emotion but the only chance they had was if a couple of punters had replaced Marcelo and David Luiz in the warm-up. They weren't the only culprits but some of their defending was of the schoolboy variety.

My Top Treble was let down by Linfield drawing in the Europa League but to be honest I was over the moon with the German result and only mildly disappointed by that letdown.

Germany are now of course odds-on to win the World Cup and it's difficult to see how they can be stopped. Argentina-Holland looks another tight one on paper and I'll put up a match preview in the morning.

There are no European games to look at but another batch of friendlies which I don't like.

Meanwhile, spare a thought for the one Ladbrokes punter who backed Germany to win 7-0 at 1000-1. He was seconds away from landing his £2 gamble.

Ladbrokes spokesman Alex Donohue said: “We've never known anything like it. Not a single person saw the 7-1 coming at 1000-1 and while the consolation goal from Oscar was deemed worthless in commentary it was anything but for the thousands of customers who backed both teams to score in the match or the person who took 7-0.”

Ladbrokes latest betting: World Cup winner – Germany 8-11, Argentina 5-2, Holland 7-2. Phil Scolari to resign before the third place play off 9-2.

There are reports suggesting RVP could miss tomorrow’s game due to illness. On the other hand, Argentina are definitely without Di Maria which is a huge blow. For me this game is much harder to call as oppose to the Brazil v Germany we had yesterday.

With LVG touted as a tactical genius in the quarters, I am still not convinced by this Dutch team. LVG played a lot of possession football and was in control against Belgium, however, Argentina will be no pushovers here and will definitely be testing the Dutch defence.

I’m edging towards an Argentina win in 90 mins as you just can’t write them off while Messi is in the team.

    Argentina to win @ 11/8
    Messi FGS @ 4/1

Will be doing some small stakes scorecasts with Messi but undecided as to which score like to go for.

    Good luck everyone.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ando, RVP looks 50-50 from what I’m reading. Robben would be a bigger miss and Di Maria is a serious blow for Argentina.

  2. PA 10 years ago

Argentina 1 – Holland 0. 13/2 at betvictor and PP. Best prices available. Tight game, hopefully Messi. GL

  3. Ando 10 years ago

Sorry I meant Costa Rica, rather than Belgium.

  4. nobiggie 10 years ago

Mr F, I backed Argentina to win the World Cup at the start at 5/1 and also backed a 11/2 double yesterday of Argentina and Germany to both win in 90 minutes. To cover these bets, would you advise lumping money on Holland Double Chance or is there a better way?

    Thanks in advance

    • FATHEAD 10 years ago

The boom is dead ling live the fullasheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
      Oh my aching sides.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

nobiggie, depends what the stakes are. Holland double chance doesn’t cover the first bet because Germany could win it. And Holland double chance doesn’t cover the second bet if they don’t win in 90 minutes.

  5. Ando 10 years ago

I totally agree Mr F, Robben would be a bigger blow, however, I wasn’t convinced by Holland against Costa Rica in terms of the style of play – they were pretty lucky to even get to the quarters.

  6. ChTheScot 10 years ago

You should forget the Costa Rica game, total clash of styles. Holland love to play on the break, that’s how they’re set up, Costa Rica didn’t play attacking football so the Dutch struggled a bit. Argentina only know how to attack so they are perfect for the Dutch!
I’m concentrating on goals, can see both to score and over 2.5 easily. With a couple of smaller stakes on Ov 3.5 + Ov 4.5 and Ov 1.5 + Ov 2.5 first half goals too.

    What a shambles Brazil were

  8. max 10 years ago

although massive thanks to chief for the bts tip :D and I was on Oscar anytime tip at 5/1 :D which ensured me more than a treble profit even though I took brazil to qualify at evens. I would love to know your tip on this next semi chief, if you posted it on the other thread could you please re-post. raal n greg tips for this second semi would be most welcome :)

    • thechief 10 years ago

Max, pleasure mate fancied Germany with Brazil missing two key players, but didn’t envisage a hammering. Oscar scoring was the perfect end to bring up a full house :)

    Holland-Argentina ft:0 score: 1-1

    Scorer : garay and kuyt

  10. hampy 10 years ago

i think some have a short memory of what the dutch did to spain. Tore them a new one and by far spains defence on paper is superior to arfentinas. Theyve relied on the front men to get tge job done and looked unimaginative and slow to me. The dutch if in full flow could really sting Argentina. Know theyl be alot of different views on this game but feel the the dutch price is too high. Hopefully rvp is available but Robben is the real danger

  11. Northy 10 years ago

Comfortable Argentina win, Holland are nowhere near as special as the world seems to think imo

  12. Centrecircle 10 years ago

Every body ignore my confident post about Brazil yesterday. I called it wrong.

  15. dave 10 years ago

I.ve got a sneaky feeling Holland could do something similar to Germany last night

If Argentina press on it could maybe let them do what they did to Spain in game 1

I’ve only been impressed by Argentina in an attacking sense against Nigeria

Good luck with all those who have a dabble tonight

It wouldn’t also surprise my if De Jong is only fit enough to come on and boot Messi up the ronson

He must dream about opportunities like this

  16. Mattr 10 years ago

Im glad it came in for you CC but maybe now is the time to take stock, identify what got you in that situation and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Sorry if you think I’m preaching. Best of luck whatever :-)

  17. Mattr 10 years ago

Again too tight to call for me tonight. I am on Argentina outright but gut feeling is telling me Holland will sneak it tonight. Won’t bet on it and pray I am wrong. Will get corners tip up later and hope I can follow on from yesterday’s winner.

Raal what about Hamilton Hearts btts? No idea of odds but jumped straight out at me…

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Matt, we will score, I have no doubts and assuming Hamilton field a full strength side then that looks excellent. I will put up the teams nearer kick off and see what we think mate.

    My tips from yesterday:

    Tennis, Hall of fame championships.
    J. Sock to beat A. Kuznetsov at around 4/7 *WON*

In play Tennis, Hewitt to beat Harisson at 2/1 *WON*

Glad I changed my mind and backed Germany before kick off too! :-)

  19. harpreet 10 years ago

    Good morning all :-)

Onwards and upwards…Argentina v Holland will be another tricky 1 tonight. I’m tempted to put £1 on 7-1 Argentina just imagine that ha ha. We wish.

On the serious side…I’m going with Argentina. Will be a close game though. Messi anytime goalscorer and Argentina to qualify

Will be looking at matches in the day and will post corner bets for u guys.

Have a wonderful day….Time to get the guttering cleaned out today so il be spending most of my time on the roof :-)

    Don’t fall over Harpreet :-)

Another tennis tip if anyone’s interested:

ATP Stuttgart – Benjamin Becker to beat Benoit Paire at 37/20

I backed Argentina at 4/1 to win the world cup and I’m sticking with them tonight to qualify for the final

  21. Mr.Bora 10 years ago

In whole world, I have never seen somebody doing his/her job better than Messi.
    Argentina 2 Holland 1.

    And another tennis tip! –

Jerzy Janowicz to beat Dusan Lajovic at 4/5

  23. jackdaniels 10 years ago

After being treated to a goal feast last night I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a 0 v 0 tonight …. Although I do really fancy Argentina to get to the final ….. I’ll see how my day goes before deciding on other bets for the match… Looking forward to hearing today’s tips ..

  28. przemm 10 years ago

As for the lucky punter Mr F mentioned in your write-up, I found a better bet confirmation:

20 USD placed on Khedira to score anytime and Germany to win 7-1 odds: 2318/1

It might be fake though. What do you think?

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BsDgaxIIUAAsQbV.jpg:large

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

It looks legit but anyone willing to put £20 on that is obviously loaded anyway. My equivalent would be 2p on that kind of bet.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

przemm, it might be fake – I don’t know. The thing about these bets is some people bet this way all the time. Loose change on crazy bets and hope one comes in every couple of years. It’s not proper betting and anyone who did 5-0 HT Germany shouldn’t claim it as a great tip – it’s just a lucky one with no skill involved.

  29. mattr 10 years ago

Fathead leave it, move on, I for one don’t fancy another day of the nonsense. How about a tip :-)

  31. andy 10 years ago

On the 0-0 for tonight, neither team fills me with confidence, Argentina have been involved in a few low scoring games and see this on no differently.

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

I echo those sentiments. Surely worth a dabble on 0-0.

Hi mr f, will there be separate threads for each of the uk leagues inc. Lower scottish for ante post bets for the season ahead where genuine info can be put up by the real punters from the likes of bournemouth, bury etc etc, could be a few gems out there we wouldnt otherwise know about. Great site this is anyway and C’MON ARGENTINA !!!!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

jimbo, there will be when the site is launched. There will be antepost threads put up by me before that but not one for every league and I never do the anteposts too early because late signings and departures can make all the difference.

  35. cooldude 10 years ago

***can everyone please ignore harpreet today with the exception of Mr f***

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, that’s not fair. I’m trying to ignore him too. Last word on the £50k bet claim. I don’t believe it for a minute and the main reason is he gave the wrong return – schoolboy error if you’re going to make those sort of claims. Anyone can say they had any sum on any bet which is why people shouldn’t quote stakes and shouldn’t claim wins if they haven’t posted the original tip.

  36. Andy M 10 years ago

I’ve just looked at the Korean games footie fan and I’m with you on this one. On paper looks the strongest one for goals.

Over 2.5 goals and BTTS 5/4

      Good Luck everyone!

  41. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Someone had ££ on 5-0 HT @PaddyPower yday at 500/1, sure ot was on their twitter page laat night. Anyway today I’ve only got an Germany Argentina double still running at just under 13/2 & also Messi top gl scorer pre tourny, hoping for at least 1 from him tonight but leaving it at that.

  42. craigyboy 10 years ago

It was nice to win money and not sweat about it. I even made more money by backing the Germans to score before 70mins after the first goal and again after the 5th goal. Unfortunately I wasn’t quick enough for the goals in between ;)

On to tonight then. I was very tempted before the semi’s to take the Germany v Argentina final at 5/2. My initial thought was Argentina would find a way through. Now I’m not so sure. I’ve evaluated the Costa Rica v Holland game and compared that to the Dutch games against Spain, Australia and Chile. Holland love to be attacked and then hit on the counter. I’m sure Argentina have done the same and will be wary about leaving spaces open for Holland to exploit like they did against Spain and also what Germany did to Brazil last night. The game last night hasn’t changed my perspective on the outcome of this match and I think it will be two teams that will go out ‘not to lose’.
I’m undecided on who will actually go through to the final. For me its too tight to call compared to last night. I have a feeling this could be a bit of a chess match.
As I won big last night I’m putting shrapnel on this game for interest. I’m kind of hoping for extra time just to help my pick Germany a bit more in the final. I’ll probably have a couple of quid accumulator for interest with some of the following:

    Picks:
    Draw 9/4 – Various
    Under 2.5 goals – 8/13 – Skybet
    Over 3.5 match cards – 5/4 – Bet365
    – Referee has booked 9 players in his previous 2 WC games so surely worth a punt
    1st half injury time – 1min – 11/10 – Bet365
    Holland to win on pens – 11/1 – Bet365

Good Luck anyone having a bet! I’m keeping it small in the hope Germany can win big for me on Sunday :)

  43. footie fan 10 years ago

On that cardsbet craigyboy think that’s the way to go that game I’ll also b doing goalscorer bets along with booking bets.backed Germany to qualify last night then jamp on the goal train and goalscorers after the 1st goal in play decent evening for me.

  44. mattr 10 years ago

Too much doubt that Seoul will score for me Harpreet and at too short a price so going to leave it. Good luck though.

  45. shaker 1 10 years ago

Does anyone see the 9/4 on offer about James Rodruigez/Germany top goalscorer/winner double as a Super Punt…Think about it he is a Goal in frontof Muller and apart from Messi scoring, if you fancy Germany outright, you are just waiting on Muller not scoring in the Final…..Am I missing something…..9/4!!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

shaker 1, you need to take into account the dead-heat rules and third-place game. Just back Germany to win the final in 90 minutes if you think they will.

  46. nev 10 years ago

Just seen this mentioned as i was going to put up having good bet on it as been loads of goals in these two sides in last few games plus head to heads usually lots of goals.
BTTS in Jeonam Dragons v Gyeonam 5/6 Sky BET

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

In after 12mins nev! easiest winner you will have today ;)

  47. mattr 10 years ago

If we too away their ‘weaker’ opponents Holland and Argentina would be averaging under 4 corners each won in their games so far so depite pouring over the stats can’t find anything in the market I am willing to tip.

I will be on the following all at level stakes though and am over 70% confident I will make a profit:

    O3.5 cards 5/4
    2nd Half injury time 4+ minutes 4/9
Robben fgs (13/2) and ags (12/5)
Messi fgs (10/3) and ags (6/5)
    2nd half highest scoring 1/1

Will also be interested in Chief’s goalscorer tips. Am pretty sure Chris tipped these goalscorers anyway…

  48. David Burke 10 years ago

Reasons why Brazil lost to Germany:

I think in all fairness Brazil had been riding their luck throughout the WC and had dodgy referee decisions from the first game with Croatia and were overly dependent on neymar.

The entire team lacked any substance and at time individuals showed glimmer of class such as David Luiz’s Fantastic free kick.

However they came against what can only be described as a ruthlessly efficient German team. Germany passed the ball with confidence they came forward as a pack with players interchanging and they also had a stronger temperament and belief than Brazil.

When you look back at Germanys games with Algeria and Ghana they were tough games but those African sides wanted it more and on this occasion Brazil never had that same attitude.

Overall the better team won and thankfully there were no sending offs/penalties or any other controversy to tarnish their performance, and no referee decisions could have prevented Germany from winning with that margin

I think this is a great example for England that the discipline & hunger needed to get to Germanys standard.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

David, had to laugh at a guy on the radio this morning who said, “This is where it gets tough now for Germany. Next two games are World Cup Final and Scotland!” I’m sure they’re quaking in their boots.

All about two friendlies for me today, Bury away at northern league division 1 Radcliffe borough and Yeovil away at calor gas prem(the old southern league) frome town.
Bury had a very good second half of the season under David flitcroft and have made a few decent si gnings at this level including goal getting Ryan Lowe and kelvin etehu, they are taking their strongest squad and should beat a modest Radcliffe side by a couple at least imo, i have taken them half time full time at 13-10 and will also be on them at minus 1 when the game comes in running
second up is yeovil away at frome town from the southern premier league, again yeovil are taking a full strength squad and should win by at least one or two, i am on yeovil half time full time at 20-21and will be on yoville minus 1 again in running good luck all

Afternoon all, Does anyone on here use the betrally.com? If so, have you had any problems making withdrawals? It’s just that I submitted a couple of withdrawal requests (one 3 days ago) and they still has not been fully processed, as it’s still giving me the option to cancel the withdrawal request :-s

They obviously want to keep that option open as long as possible in the hope I lose some bets and then want to cancel the withdrawal. I don’t think they should have this option, I doubt the bigger bookies do this?

Aircon, I’ve not heard of them to be honest. I wouldn’t worry too much about cancelling the withdrawal option as I’ve seen that before. Just ignore it but press them on when you’ll get the money.

Hibs are in negotiations about a takeover bid. It is being ‘bankrolled’ by Property Developer and Licensed Trade Magnet Kevin Doyle. If it happens then I am pretty sure I will be in a position to give some ‘exclusives’ about Mr Doyle that many newspapers would like. Myself and Doyle go back a long way and there is no love lost ;) Tick Tock Doyle :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, I hope it’s not the Kevin Doyle that works beside me! Has this been reported because if you have an exclusive you know who to contact and he’ll pass it on.

  89. harpreet 10 years ago

Mr fix it like i stated I will not be putting up amounts at all now. Feel that even after being myself nobody wants to believe me but that’s fine mate. Onwards and upwards like I said. I’m cool about it…Let’s continue to win some money :-)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

harpreet, glad to hear it but just one question. Why’s a guy with a spare £50k cleaning his gutters and fish pond? I’d get a man in and spend the time studying form.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Doing it himself is why he has a spare 50k!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, that’s where I went wrong then.

  90. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Paul that makes it all the better for cards then, nothing to lose if a team is losing going into later stages

  91. Banksie 10 years ago

Mr F, If you’re right that the semi is a free game for yellow cards. I’m on over 3.5 at 5/4 as the ref is the Turkish bloke that sent off nani in champions league last year and has shown 9 cards in his two games at this World Cup. Fill your boots guys !!!!!!!!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Banksie, it’s definitely the case. Yellows are wiped after quarter-finals now.

  92. Jaggy Cee 10 years ago

guys would cards count up to 90 mins or can they go to 120 mins

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Jaggy Cee, all bets are 90 minutes unless stated by you or the bookie and then of course prices will change.

  93. seannyboy 10 years ago

Might try the over 3.5 in the cards market. Is a Straight Red 2 points and a yellow 1. Just debating this with a mate who reckons a card is a card whether its straight red or yellow or 2nd yellow for a red which i agree is 1 point. I just seem to remember that a straight red is 2 points. Anyone got an idea ?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

seannyboy, it depends who you bet with so check the rules. Sometimes a card is a card but usually a red is two.

  94. Bob H 10 years ago

Mr F …if Rodriguez, Muller and Messi were all to finish on 6 goals, does Rodriguez win golden boot due to less minutes played? That would mean M&M need 7?
Harpreet is anagram of Prat Here!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Bob, golden boot is for goals scored! Minutes played mean nothing.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Bob H, the Golden Boot is decided on assists if they tie on goals and I think Muller has more. Top scorer is a different market and deadheat rules apply.

  95. harpreet 10 years ago

I always do my own work. It reminds me.of when my dad walked in the Mercedes Benz garage with me wearing his dirty clothes after working in his allotment. They all looked at us thinking what are they doing here. Hard work makes money…We ended up purchasing a merc for myself as my 18th birthday present for £38,000 which I still have a receipt of up to this day. Never judge a book by its cover my dad used to say…& how right has he been ever since :-) No money is spare also…;-)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Your dad is a very wise man harpreet.

    • Matty p 10 years ago

Still begs the question, why were you crying about losing a £100 bet a few weeks ago? Even more baffling now

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Never thought there was that much money to be made growing veggies in an allotment ;-)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

harpreet, I was only joking but if that’s the case how much to do my gutters then? I don’t disagree with you but I can make more money paying someone to do my gutters than if I spend the time myself. Either that or I’ll have a game of golf. Anyway off to walk the dug – on holiday from tomorrow night (apart from World Cup Final night) so may do my own gutters then.

    • macca the red 10 years ago

i remember my dad taking me to the bike shop and it was near christmas he had got his paypacket,he bought me a bike it cost £90 he said to me “son if you don’t pass your driving test when your 17 you will be riding one of these for the rest of your life”!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Wise words macca, dad’s always know best but we never appreciate that until way to late in life mate.

Thank you Raal…We owned the Hawthorns pub no right next door to the Albino ground for years after which my dad sold it and opened a few pubs in Birmingham. I’m originally from Wolverhampton. An allotment is a pass time cool dude like I said…It’s what u enjoy. My dad once had a go at me for walking past a penny on the floor as I was to shy to pick it up as people would laugh at me. Never again …

He said penny’s make pound’s…Pounds make hundreds and hundreds make thousands.

When my father bought his first property in 1958 the most he spent was £5,000.how times change hey? Houses were cheap them days. As years went on and on we built up a very successful construction company. We have it based now in the Midlands and Leeds also. Manku construction services.

So here u go…Onwards and upwards. Raal Luke I said would be a joy to meet up.of u ever visit leeds soon mate.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

    • Northy 10 years ago

That website needs a lot of work done on it, just so you know

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

A great story harpreet. I know the pub as I have been to the Hawthorns a few times many years ago, when pubs shut at 2.30 and reopened at 5! Went to the WBA V WEST HAM game in the late 80’s with some West Ham boys and went in the West Brom end, basically a riot started after my accent was mistaken for a cockney one!! WBA bought your dads pub a few years back I think.

    • Marty p 10 years ago

Harpreet to be fair it sounds like your dads been quite successful so fair play to him, I lived not far from the hawthorns so know the pub, I’m sure it’s a redevelopment site now. But anyway a better plan for your success would be to fully educate yourself about what you’re doing with your betting cos you’re on a slippery slope.
Being completely impartial, your btts tip this morning was poor, the stats nowhere near pointed to btts and it’s bad form posting tips if your research isn’t solid

  108. harpreet 10 years ago

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

dudes, how the f*ck did these 2 last words not get moderated?????????????????????????????????

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, the comment has gone. The two words used separately are not offensive so I can’t ban them. Also you know when those comments are spotted they are deleted.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

I know Mr F and also know dudes sense of humour but did say to him he cannot use these words in any context. dudes we know how the world is so think before every post mate!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, he can’t use that analogy – it’s unacceptable and he’ll be finished here if there’s a repeat. One thing though – that comment gets one person into trouble and it’s not me unless we refused to delete it. Cooldude would be the one pursued and possibly prosecuted.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Mr f, apologies if you took offence, I didnt think you would. Raal are you not in profit now that argentina have made the semis?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, don’t bring religion on to the site. It’s not important if I’m offended or not – you can think these things but don’t post them as a comment.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

dudes, I can lay off and guarantee profit mate as the potentially 2 opponents outright will be around EVENS and I have staked £4,000 but have a profit of £14,000 if Argentina win. £4,000 on Holland to qualify would see a £1,000 profit guaranteed no matter what or if Argentina qualify my potential profit at £10,000 to lay if required against Germany.

Having looked at this game the stats are favorable for the over 2.5 and possibly over 3.5 the away team especially seem to like the away goals lately having scored 9 in the last 4 away games.

Kif did record a 4-0 away win over Linkopings last month so revenge will be in the minds and this could lead to a goal fest.

Mate I’m not sure what criteria you use for assessing your btts tips but merely the fact that only 1 of Pohangs last 5 home games had seen btts, now 1 in 6, with 2 of the other games been scoreless and 2 wins to nil should have been enough to put you off. It doesn’t bode well when the strongest team is at home and the stats show they concede very few in home games.

  135. thechief 10 years ago

    Netherlands v Argentina

Having already backed Argentina to win the world cup, I wont be going in to back them tonight. Argentina have never lost a world cup semi final and I think they will get the job done tonight.

My only bet on this game is in the goal scorer market and the player I am with is Gonzalo Higuain. I tipped him against Belgium and he delivered his first goal of the tournament. Higuain is a proven scorer and got 9 in 11 in the qualifying campaign, and with all the focus on Messi, I will be on Higuain 11/4 at 888sport

    HIGUAIN TO SCORE 11/4

    Howdy Folks

I came on to see if there is much on offer today. Clearly there isn’t much out there. I am turning my attention to the approaching season.

Raal, I have seen you mention Hearts @ 4/1. Had Rangers not signed well in Boyd and Miller I would have been in absolute agreement with you.

As it is I just agree. Second place at worst looks there for the taking so each should return your money. I will be tipping that too.

In the Premiership I think Aberdeen’s early start could give them an advantage as they hit the ground running. However I am not enthused by the 2/1 on offer for them to finish 2nd. The early start could count against them later on in the season. Could be potential for a back to lay.

There could be some value in backing Kilmarnock, St Mirren or Ross County for relegation. For this I will wait until closer to KO and it will depend on signings etc but of all of them St Mirren @ 9/1 to finish bottom might be who I plump for.

Hard to see past Dunfermline in League One and first thoughts are that League 2 is a bit of a minefield.

Just some initial thoughts. Looking forward now to the World Cup ending and attention turning back to domestic football.

Any one else got any opinions?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Fitba Tips, I’ve already said I can’t see past Rangers as long as they’re not with any punishments. Hearts look good for second but we don’t know what to expect from Hibs. Aberdeen should improve from last season and that means second spot. Goodwillie will be a good signing if he can screw the nut. Is in danger of wasting his career though.

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

      Mr F

I fear Goodwillie is heading the way of Riordan. Another wasted talent.

    • Fitba Tips 10 years ago

      Mr F

Something I will be keeping an eye on will be PP ‘top team goalscorer’ market.

I would have done very well out of that last season where it not for goodwillie.

Last season they has Kilmarnock – Any other player (i.e. Kris Boyd) at odds against.

Some opta stats before the site descends to complete chaos:
Argentina have reached their first World Cup semi-final since 1990, when they went on to finish runners-up to West Germany.
La Albiceleste have progressed from all three of their World Cup semi-finals.
These teams have met four times in the World Cup, with Holland winning twice and Argentina once, with one draw.
Argentina’s victory, in the 1978 final, is their only win against Holland in eight meetings overall (L4 D3).
Argentina have lost just one of their last 16 World Cup games (W12 D3, not including penalty shoot-outs).
Holland have lost two of their 12 World Cup games against South American teams, not including penalty shoot-outs (1978 final v Argentina and 1994 quarter-final v Brazil).
10 of Holland’s 12 goals in this tournament have come after half-time.
Holland’s last four goals in this tournament have come after the 75th minute.
Argentina are yet to trail for a single minute of the 2014 World Cup.
Holland are the only team to concede more than one penalty at the 2014 World Cup.
Holland have had seven different goal scorers at this World Cup, more than any team.

    Write up to follow :)

  171. Alex 10 years ago

Argentina will be hoping that Messi can inspire them with his brilliance while the Dutch will be banking on the genius of Van Gaal and this new team spirit that he has fostered. Prior to the tournament I thought that the Dutch would self implode after the group stages and they have not. Do not forget they were in the last World Cup final. Having weighed up the Argentinian team they are not great, in fact they are ordinary in my view. I picked a Germany/Argentina prior to the World Cup but I’m willing to change my opinion from what I have seen thus far. I am talking about the little things that stick out during the course of a tournament and the luck that comes along with that. Holland thumped Spain the current World Champions, they came back from the dead against Mexico to show lots of courage and triumphed on penalty kicks against the spirited Costa Ricans that would have given anyone a game at this World Cup. In contrast the only memorable thing I remember about Argentina was the game against Argentina when Nigeria decided to go for it. I didn’t watch that game and have no idea how good Argentina were. They are heavily reliant upon Messi both creating and scoring where as the Dutch have match winners in RVP (if he plays) Robben, and Wesley. I am a football person through and through and can see that the luck has been with the Dutch which might just get them to another final. There is not much between these two teams, a lot less than yesterday and although a lot of us said last night’s game would be close I believe that was said on the basis of a number of key ingredients such as home turf, crowd and Brazil’s previous record. That was my reasoning for saying it could go either way. There is always an element of that in football there is no certainty especially if 11 players turn up resolute, with team spirit and fighting for the collective cause. That cannot be underestimated. I am going against the grain and believe the Dutch will make in what will hopefully be entertaining game. I hope they score first because if Argentina do that will kill the game as a spectacle. I will not be on anyone but if I was then it would be the Dutch.

Van Persie (First goal) 13/2 William Hill if he starts. I believe he will and cannot see a dodgy stomach keeping him out. He is out of the headlines and dangerous.

Higuain anytime 11/4 (not sure where chief got his odds but go for that) I am jumping on this after reading what the chief wrote but for differing reasons. Now that he has a goal I think he will be a different animal and that is the basis for my decision although I know who the inspiration was ;)

Robben anytime 11/4 I will decide if I want to give any further coin to the bookies when I go to place my bets.

I also like the look of a penalty being awarded especially with the likes of Robben and Messi about and the 2nd half to have most goals but will not be backing those either. This is not roulette you know!

Raal, I was somewhat shocked & upset by your scurrilous attack on Lance Armstrong yesterday & feel compelled to defend the innocent man.

You are blaming all his fans for a crime they didn’t commit.

He has changed his name to Le Lance Armstrong. Sold his bike to himself for a fiver. It wasn’t Armstrong that won all the titles, it was the bike that crossed the finishing line!

Therefore ALL the titles transfer with the bike.

Can’t wait for Le Tour De France ’15

    Le lance Armstrong tomorrow

    Le lance Armstrong forever

  184. Frank 10 years ago

Good day mates. I have been frantically busy with work but with that out of the way, time to tip some (hopefully) winning punts.

I bet Holland v Argentina over 2 goals at close to evens as soon as the line was released for this game. (1.97) and I feel really confident with that bet.

Another bet I made was total bookings over 3.5 at odds of 2.16. Robben himself drew 3 yellows against Costa Rica with his tenacious play and I do believe the Dutch’s tactical set up is conducive to rough tackles and drawing cards. They love to play a strict man marking system that frustrates opponents. They relentlessly sit almost on the shoulders of their opponents and this frustrates them because it’s hard to shake them loose.

Argentinian players are known to be hot headed and I can see Demichelis getting frustrated as he’ll most likely be the man assigned to Robben. Perhaps I might bet him to be shown a yellow at some point in the match but as of this write up I am still undecided. I expect a physical game and for these reasons I have backed over 3.5 bookings.

It helps too that today’s match official from Turkey is known to brandish cards (9 in his two officiated matches at this WC).

On the goals front, Argentina were the highest scoring team in qualification from CONMEBAL. For the Dutch, Van Persie was tied for most goals in UEFA qualifying (11) and the squad in general were second only to Germany in European qualifying goals scored (34) registering a  3.4 gpg average.
The Dutch are averaging 14.3 shots per game, Argentina 18.2. Netherlands has conceded an average of 8.8 shots against whilst Argentina has averaged 12.2 shots against per game. We ‘should’ see plenty of chances and at the end of the day it’s what the teams do with those chances that will win or lose this bet. However playing in the cooler evening temps will help and with the likes of Robben, Sniejder, RVP, Messi, Higuain, Agüero to name a few at the disposal of both clubs I had to tap that over 2 goals at near evens on the open of the lines.

To summarize, I expect plenty of chances at both ends and even if the chances are not as high, there are enough clinical finishers on the pitch to take those chances and get us the goals in what should be a hotly contested, tough football match.

    The bets;

Holland v Netherlands over 2 MG (AH) at 1.97

    Total bookings/cards over 3.5 at 2.16

Best of luck with all your wagers today friends. Hoping everyone has a profitable day.

  185. Danny T 10 years ago

Messi anytime 6/5 bet 365 . I feel that it might just take his magic for Argentina to progress to the final

  186. MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

    Bernard to score 1st @ 21. and anytime @ 9. *LOST**LOST*

He stands at the intimidating height of 5ft 4 inches. 1.62m. Brazil 1-0

I am going to take Brazil to qualify but I am waiting and hoping for a better price in-play.

    Good luck to everybody betting.
    ————–
I only places a few very small bet to have an interest in what I expected to be a low scoring game last night.

How wrong was I. Although the end result didn’t have a financial effect on me, I found myself in a state of shock & dismay at what I was witnessing. I couldn’t process goal 3,4 & 5 as it happened.

  187. craigyboy 10 years ago

2 fun bets I’m on for the Argie v Holland game:

    Acc 1
    Over 5 first half corners
1 minute first half stoppage time
    Approx 4/1

    Acc 2
    Over 3.5 cards
    No goal before 34mins
    Approx 2/1

    • MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

      Interesting bet Craigyboy.

I might just choose one for an interest. I enjoy placing corner bets and shouting ‘no, nooo run to the by-line’

It sure does get you strange looks if you are watching the game in a bar.

What are peoples thoughts on the Argentina & Messi misfit? I am a fan of Messi and have watched him play since he was 17/18.

Messi scored a fantastic goal in injury time against Iran & was subsequently hailed the messiah.

I can’t decide whether it’s the manager’s instruction that all play must go via Messi or Messi himself.

In my opinion if Messi hadn’t played at all against Iran, Argentina with the likes of Higuain, Di Maria, Lavezzi, Aguero and Palacio, plus others, would have wrapped that game up within an hour if not sooner.

If he were to score a few tonight, it still wouldn’t change my mind. Argentine have the most frightening attacking players in world football, therefore for me, has been the most underperforming team so far.

Hi Mr F, I have been a follower of your website for the past year and finally decided to drop you a line and say congrats on a great website that for a novice soccer punter from Australia, your tips/advice and those of raaljaca,Shaun Tanner, Greg Browning, etc (while not always followed) have been helpful in learning the ins and outs of soccer betting and look forward to hopefully posting a few tips in the future.
Just one negative though, can’t understand some of the comments from fellow tipsters to other tipsters just because they may not agree or lost money on someone else’s tip, good to win on someone else’s tip but gotta be gracious in a loss, that’s why it’s so much better when you win on one of your own.
Anyway keep up the good work, it’s much appreciated and anybody that doesn’t mind Aussie rules tomorrow night Adelaide to defeat Hawthorn and Saturday night Brisbane to defeat West Coast both straight out or +line, decent value both ways.
PS if either or both don’t win, sorry but means I lose too and it happens

  208. raaljaca 10 years ago

    Matt;

@HamAdSport1: HEARTS: Alexander, Paterson, McHattie, Wilson, Ozturk, Gomis, Walker, Holt, Keatings, Carrick, Nicholson.

@HamAdSport1: Subs: Hamilton, McKay, McGhee, Robinson, King, D. Smith, Oliver, Buaben, Beith, L. Smith.

    Very strong Hearts side

Haven’t got the Hamilton side yet but Hearts to win at 6/5 looks a reasonable bet. Both to score is around 6/10 but the odds against on us winning for a small stake looks decent.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Martins Indi and Demichelis.

    • Frank 10 years ago

I agree Raal, I think Demichelis is a prime candidate for a booking as I noted in my post earlier.

  215. bigmick 10 years ago

the next person to bully harpeet will have me to answer to and believe me you dont wanna fall out with me.lol

    • One team in Ulster 10 years ago

      woooooooooo! big scary mick

  216. Rustychest 10 years ago

    Let’s go Argentina :)

  217. tomekplnd 10 years ago

Harpreet, Demischelis is playing and as we all know he’s not the fastest of players so he looks prone to be carded especially against the likes of Sneijder and Robben, it’s not a tip though aha

  218. Jeanmax36 10 years ago

Raal you are credit sir I had me a bit of that! Mucho grazi

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Raal you are credit sir I had me a bit of that! Mucho grazi

  219. tomekplnd 10 years ago

Raal looking forward to more tips like this ;)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

tomekplnd, anything my mate gives me will appear on here, he is a betting genius on this sport and privy to info I really should not be given.

  220. Chrisemy 10 years ago

Now I got on Shaun’s double 1down again!!!!!!not been a great day for me at all!!!!!!!!!!!

  221. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

Over 3.5 mg in the Toulouse match- 5/6 . Plenty of chances & attacks for both sides with Nimes winning 2-0 at h/t.

    Toulouse over 3.5 mg
    Lorient BTTS

    1.75/1 DOUBLE (1 bet)

LOST!!! Both games finished 2-1, so 1 bet won and 1 bet was a goal out. :(

  222. harpreet 10 years ago

    Thanks bigmick lol :-)

  223. BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

Raal, missed your tennis tip dammit -.- hard to get on here with a new born, ill have to pay ya to email me them haha

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

BG, I will email you any others I get mate.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

BG, Big Mac gives you his congrats on the newborn.

  224. harpreet 10 years ago

Can’t see player to be booked on bet 365….Anybody know where this is or is it simply not available ??

    • Danny T 10 years ago

Harpeet. Bet 365 don’t have a player to be carded market unfortuantly mate

    • mattr 10 years ago

Only first player Harpreet but if you fancy it I would take at least De Jong, Roja and DiMichelis at small level stakes safe in the knowledge that any of them get booked first and will cover the others and guarantee profit.

  225. Richard 10 years ago

Just in otherwise would’ve tipped this beforehand

    iceland div 4

    Lumman vs Kari

Its 2-0 Kari after 45 mins

Lumman are 6th out of 7 in league and at home are P3 L3 F7 A14 so average 7 a game
Kari are top and away have a record of P2 F14 A3 so average 8.5 goals per game

anyone worried about such a small number of games to base average on then at home they average 6.5 goals per game after 4 games

    over 4.5,5.0 ftg @ 1.95

  226. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

Sorry Chrisemy, Toulouse were really going for it near the end as well but no goal. Try doing single pre-match bets if if you want to make things easier and build up, in-play can be hard at times. Never go crazy on a double in-play and with it being a friendly as well you’d be pushing it. All the best matey :)

  227. Danny T 10 years ago

Raal unbelievable work again mate . Never known anything like it in my life any sport and you know more than most about all of them . Come on Argentina

  228. James Hanly 10 years ago

  229. BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

Cheers mate, appriciate it :) who’s everyone on tonight to qualify ? I’m tempted to back argie but I might just ennjoy the game while feeding the baby lol

  230. Jeanmax36 10 years ago

Always try and look for the main players and enjoy reading others opinions and mixing with my own stuff may have to get involved in some of my own to repay your wisdom

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

My wisdom comes free of charge ;)

  231. harpreet 10 years ago

Thanks Danny mate I appreciate it. Matt I’ve taken ur advice.and done all.3 :-) Who u backing matt ?

    • mattr 10 years ago

I’m backing only what I mentioned this morning Harpreet:

      2nd half highest scoring
      Over 3.5 cards
4+ minutes added time 2nd half
Messi and Robben fgs and ags

Despite all my research telling me no I am also being tempted by Over 10 corners, is a gut feeling. Also as I said I have backed Argentina since the start but again gut feeling is telling me Holland tonight. Hope I’m wrong.

Greg thanks for the overs, 1st half landed…

  244. Mcleish 10 years ago

Two words gents, “Holland Win”. I cannot see past the Dutch who will no doubt be seeking revenge from the previous WC Final.

Holland win pays 9/4 with Coral

  245. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

orbz the only bet I’ve taken is for Robben to score anytime mate. I think Argentina are weak down their left side and as we know Robben loves to cut in from Hollands right on to his left and I’m hoping he shoots on sight. :D

I tell a lie I also took Holland to score before the 69th minute.

All the best with what ever bets your on mate ;)

  246. Tonyboy 10 years ago

    Evening gents,

I’ve been fairly quiet as not much to post the past few days. One I’m looking at for FHG at 9pm is in the Iceland 4th Division – niche!

Back >2.5 FHG in Lettir vs Afrika match.

Afrika are truly awful and could concede 5+ tonight. However, I’m taking first half goals in this one for a small stake.

  247. Dundanator 10 years ago

Good write ups Mr F and others. Liking the Argies to qualify because there defense is alot more solid than the Netherlands and Messi will probably be the difference like he has been for all there games in the world cup so far. So i’m on Messi to provide an assist.

Messi to Assist a Goal 7/4

    • mattr 10 years ago

Dundonator no need for it mate.

Why do people feel the need to abuse others from behind a computer screen. Big? No! Clever? No! It is the way of the world that we meet people who annoy us day to day, do we abuse them all though? Just take them or leave them and move on.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Agree with Matt. Live and let live.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Hmmm, Hauker v Tindastoll Women U19.
    Think ive bummed the bookies!
Tindastoll pre game were @ 1.9, i was hoping to wait and take them @ Evens
On 16 mins it was 0-1 and Hauker were down to 10. So i missed my opertunity … But tgey were still @ 1.57! Surely this was buying money!!! Now 0-2 :-)

  250. craigyboy 10 years ago

All you guys on the Argies, how are your nerves holding out? Are you as confident as those backing the Germans? :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

      Yes :)

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

You’ll be glad to know Raal I’ve thrown a couple of quid on Holland over 3.5 goals. I hope it loses so those that have backed the Germans and the Argies can have a bit of banter :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

craigyboy, I have taken over 3.5 match goals at 4/1 as an interest outwith screaming for Argentina ;)

  251. harpreet 10 years ago

Dundtator no comment. As per mr fix it states I’m not getting involved. Concentrate on the football – :-)

    • Dundanator 10 years ago

Is this going to be Messi’s World Cup? Put him up there with the likes of Pele and Maradonna, i hope so. C’mon the Argie Bargies!!!

Well can’t believe that tonight’s game will live up to last nights feast of football but here’s hoping ! Ron Vlar first goal @ 66/1 :) sure ya never know :) good luck all .

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Capone, I have done Martins Indi first booking 12-1 small stake.

  263. cooldude 10 years ago

Raal your opinion on Lavezzi squirting water on the Argentina manager??
all Ill say is if he done that to Fergie or Steve Bruce there would be physical repercussions.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

dudes it was really funny to watch though mate!!

  264. Richard 10 years ago

On as well Greg – usually reliably awful. The other game between Midas and KB also worth a look – lower goal line and last h-2-h ended up 8-1

  265. cooldude 10 years ago

Raal, apart from snooker and GAA in your opinion what sport in the world has the most discrimination?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Scottish Football dudes, the idiots that run it think the world begins and ends in Glasgow which is why it is a laughing stock mate.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

CC, I like Glasgow but hate the SFA :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, Martins Indi first booking 12-1 WIN. Nice one.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mr F, we both tipped him but only you backed him! I didn’t go with anything other than BTTS for small bet and Overs as I am too wrapped up in willing Argentina to win :)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

And totally agree, he should be off by now as escaped a definite earlier booking Mr F.

  274. raaljaca 10 years ago

£2,000 Argentina to win tournament 9/2

£1,000 each way Argentina to win tournament 4/1
    ———————————————–

And I have been getting texts telling me I am an idiot not to cover this game so I have gone £4,000 Holland to qualify 13/10 as it really does make a bit of sense since I bang on about profit being all that matters. Now watch Argentina beat them :)

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Raal not guaranteed in Big Macs eyes. I do hope Messi pops up with a cracker though!!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

dudes, they really need something special from him as Holland will happily play all the way, 120 min, for penalties tonight.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Raal nice move needed to be done and was going to ask you about that but you obviously know what you are doing.

  275. Yugo 10 years ago

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Roberto, was pissed when he escaped earlier for bad foul on Messi.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

KR women over 2.5 MG 4/7- home side totally dominating and winning 1-0. Away side are top of the let able and have scored in 4 out of 5 away games so far this season.

    KR over 2.5 & Grotta u19 over 1.5 mg double 1.4/1

  287. Wyorkie11 10 years ago

Cheers Greg and tonyboy. Top stuff gents!!!

  288. edgeman 10 years ago

Anyone know how many corners there were in that first half?

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

      4 m8

  289. cooldude 10 years ago

    4 corners

  290. raaljaca 10 years ago

Last 15 minutes if all square, Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez to come on and win it.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, still looks like Argentina will edge it but helluva tight. Messi to score next at 9-2. No scorer is just 11-10.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mr F, my big worry is that they are outplaying them almost all over the park and Holland are looking second best everywhere but unless they score the longer it goes on Holland are going to increase in confidence. I would risk Aguero and possibly Maxi Rodriguez to win it in 90 minutes.

  291. raaljaca 10 years ago

harpreet; Raal…Tell me from your expertise…Player to get booked today? who would u back mate?

    Me; Martins Indi and Demichelis.

    ** Hope some backed them because I didn’t! :) **

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, Demichelis was my second choice after Martins Indi.

  292. harpreet 10 years ago

    Raal I didn’t back them :-( I backed under 2.5 goals that’s all :-)

  293. robroy85 10 years ago

    God this game is dull!

  294. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Matt there’s the over 4+ mins time in :)

  295. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

Mr fixit are the buildings across to the left on the M8 west bound that say Daily Record and Sunday Times around Govan area where you work or is it a warehouse for all the papers?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Wednesbury, I’m based in city centre, building you can see from Kingston Bridge. You’re probably looking at the printworks at Cardonald.

  296. footie fan 10 years ago

  297. footie fan 10 years ago

Huntellaar on for persie if he’s any kind o genius and I’ll b all over it!

  298. Alex 10 years ago

The most boring games that I have watched in this World Cup have all involved Argentina. Same tactic try and get Messi on the ball.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alex, Dutch are worse than Argentina tonight.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Agree with Mr F, they have killed the game where ever possible. VG is going for penalties.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Disagree there Mr F, I haven’t seen anything positive from Argentina and not one clear cut chance for either team. You can’t accuse the Dutch of sitting back but they have stifled Argentina.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alex, we’ll have disagree then but it’s a poor game. Argentina for me have done more and come closest to scoring.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Mr F we are entitled to do that as long as we don’t resort to name calling ;) agreed poor game.

  299. Greg Browning 10 years ago

  301. maxclover 10 years ago

What are the odds for a Germany Argentina final

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Just the same as Argentina to qualify max, 8/11 just now mate.

  302. Damo 10 years ago

Love how the camera men have the knack of picking out the wee darlings in the crowd haha without fail

  303. craig k 10 years ago

Tackle of the tournament from mascherano there outstanding! Would love him back with the reds!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Craig, that was indeed a brilliant tackle.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

12/5 Argentina on penalties. Krul studied the Costa Rican players penalty techniques and dived the correct way for every penalty, Argentina’s players now know exactly what way he will go so will change technique and send the ball to their opposite side! Simple really.

  304. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Matt, stewards enquiry mate! Should have been 4

    Over 0.5 booking lost

  305. Capone 10 years ago

    What a horrible game

  306. Mattr 10 years ago

Rubbish. At least I’ll get my goalscorer stakes refunded. I am NOT having another bet on this tournament.

  307. tomekplnd 10 years ago

What bookies offer individual player cards apart from Skybet?

  310. Ally 10 years ago

Can anyone tell me if William Hill refund stakes on boredraw foe teamnto win and both teams to score or anytime goalscorer.
    Thanks

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ally, it’s bet365 for the bore draw unless Hills doing a special offer.

  311. nev 10 years ago

Really poor game think Aguero wit his pace could make the difference in extra time

  312. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

To be honest gents todays game was always going to be the poor relation after yesterday’s memorable game!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Wednesbury, I preferred this one as goals are very overrated mate ;)

  313. Alex 10 years ago

Do William Hill Refund first goal scorer/anytime bets or is just if you use insure bet?

third former red on the pitch now in the shape of maxi Rodriguez, has a knack of scoring big goals might be worth a nibble at scoring here

Are Ladbrokes doing an offer where you get your money back if the game is decided on penalties? Is it only on certain types of bets?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Steven, usual markets – singles on correct scores, first scorers, scorecasts, etc.

  319. harpreet 10 years ago

  323. acelightning 10 years ago

    Argentina to win on penalties.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

acelightning, as I stand to win more from Argentina qualifying and winning the World Cup I’ll go Holland to win on pens. Keeper has never saved one in his pro career though.

  324. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

Johnny J good call on big Ron Vlaar if that was the case I would fear for their premiership status next season!

  331. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

Mr fixit surely you are not going to back against your pre tournament tip?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Wednesbury, of course I am. Germany have been the better team and I’ve been tipping them on the site since they beat France. You have to be prepared to change your opinion with the benefit of games.

  332. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

Good luck Mr Fixit and goodnight

  333. craigyboy 10 years ago

If there’s any justice in football Germany will smash Argentina more than 7-1. I was hoping Holland got through in the end purely because if they’d have won in the final as a man who’s backed Germany I’d have accepted it more. Argentina will be the worst team to win a World Cup ever! They’ve been boring and I know they are going to turn the final into a borefest. I sincerely hope Germany give them a good old Brazilian style beating!
    Come on you German’s!

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Ditto m8 if argentina win this it will be a travesty

  334. Andy M 10 years ago

Will keep an eye out for your tips Shaun!

  335. gfella 10 years ago

Cheers Mr f. For anyone interested, Germany Holland double pays 5.75/1. That looks too good to pass up. Argentina may have made it this far but they have been 99% boring and 1% messi. I don’t think they’ll get away with that against a well organised German team who have strength in all areas. Neuer is a machine and their attacking midfield will surely rip the argies apart. The other match imo could be a closer affair with Brazil trying to restore some pride and a day’s less rest for holland but I can’t pass up on 2/1 for the holland win. A safer bet might be to qualify in case they try boring Brazil into submission but as it’s my last main bet of the competition I’m going for the straight up double. Good luck all!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

gfella, don’t think I’ll be doing much on the third-place match. Brazil will be trying to win back some pride and can’t see the Dutch being too bothered.

  336. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

Once caldas match- just got on over 2.5 mg at 1/1 & btts 10/11

  337. craigyboy 10 years ago

    —————–
    Draw 9/4 ***WIN***
    Under 2.5 goals ***WIN***
    Over 3.5 match cards ***LOSE***
    1st half injury time ***LOSE***
Holland to win on pens ***LOSE***
