Go on Frankie BOOOOM £50 @5/2 £50 @11/4. Hannon’s WORDS Mehmas arguably came up against the best juvenile around in the Coventry Stakes in Caravaggo but there was plenty of daylight back to third. It was really a talented field that day.

I’ve had a nightmare today. You get carried away when you get a decent win and all common sense goes out the window. 20 points down by johnb seem nice after the day I spent giving them it all back today.
So back to 3 or 4 horses only from tomorrow.
Peter keep posting m8 even if your not betting,it will let you enjoy it a little more, till you get your confidence back.
We can’t win at this game, but we can learn to be more sensible.
      Good luck to all

Lots of talk on ‘The Grey Gatsby’ tomorrow. Hasn’t won since 2014? Always blaming the ground ect. I hope we see a win finally, because such a class horse. All the talk last year of the grey gatsby giving Golden horn a real battle ect. I think the real value could be Housesofparliament in the first at newmarket.

I haven’t posted in a while but i’ve been here. Bit annoying to see the thread constantly blocked by people trolling or grown adults (i assume adults) crying. Move on, who cares. Just ignore it.

Gatsby is best horse out the runners when on form and taking slight gambe and hoping now is the turn around in form.
Agreed houses of parliament offers better value especially on ew l15s etc but prize money been knocking on door in last few races and fancy him to edge it. I see it out of the two so gonna have a little fc bet as well.

Golden old rule/saying YOU NEVER BEAT THE BOOKIE.

No matter how hard we all try, do it as a hobby pro punting sat afternoon lucky15 placepot bets the bookie will always win.

Last night results from Kempton 14 8 14 14 10 and a 9/1 the jolly went in last race 9/4 so maybe the punter won on the last race. End of the day, you are picking one horse against the rest of the field which belongs to the bookie the odds all always be in his favour.

Old, old saying, you see many a poor punter never see a poor bookie.

    Happy days.

    • Profile photo of Johnb
      Johnb 5 months ago

i know many punters that haven’t lost money for years
It’s not impossible, it just takes a lot of work

      • Profile photo of elvis parsley
        elvis parsley 5 months ago

        John
I know that but the big picture is weighted heavily in favour of the bookies.
That’s is why instead of one or 2 in high streets there are now 4-6 In reasonable size towns.
They are not there to hand out money to punters I can tell you.
We are not only fighting them we are also fighting the trainers and owners who enter their horses to lose until the day when they lay them out to win..
It doesn’t pay winning the odd 3 grand donkey derby at kempton, they lump on when its their time to win if you get my drift.
Its that bad now I only do individual bets on group and listed races as the horses are there to win, not to lose and get their handicaps down.
I’m at Carlisle today and if no one has any strong views here,I will probably just do a place pot and if that goes down a quadpot as a cheaper option to finding 5-1 winners and over in 6 out of 7 dodgy handicaps as coops said

    • Profile photo of elvis parsley
      elvis parsley 5 months ago

      One to lay today
      Melasina 4-40 Carlisle
People seem to think because it ran at Ascot it has better form
Fact is it was 8th there and beat 7 lengths in a 6 furlong race. His other 3 runs don’t exactly inspire betting on it at close to even money

Uttoxeter one of my regular calls.
    Right by the train station.
Free parking in Tesco if u drive.
Like midweek meets as you get racing people there and not the weekend socialites who Go racing to get drunk and be a pain in the arse.
Saturday at Chester will be full of these types but the Friday night meet is a lot more peaceful.
You can cheapskate it and watch from the bridge overlooking tatts if you are strapped for cash.
Best of luck in Rhyl, take your hub caps off if you have any. Lol

Germany have bored the pants off me but haven’t yet conceded in open play and doubt if France have the stomach or the defensive stability to stop ze black and white machine.
        1 or 2-0 for germany.
