THE only Super Single I put up for Saturday was both to score in the Copa America final and while it was expected to come in the game finished 0-0 after 90 minutes.
My treble was both to score at Start, Bray not to lose and Germany Women to beat England in the World Cup third-place play-off. I pointed out cover was available after the first two came in but chose not to back it – and it was another 0-0.
There is no action at Wimbledon today and my tennis treble was beaten by Roger Federer who lost a bit of concentration to lose his first set of the tournament to big-serving Sam Groth.
On Sunday there are many more Scandinavian games to look at and one that stands out for both to score is Aalesund v Mjondalen in Norway. It’s come up in five out of six for both teams.
Rosenborg don’t need to worry about the second leg of their Europa League tie after winning away and should win at Bodo/Glimt have beaten them just once in 16. The leaders are 8-15 at BetVictor.
Other games in Norway to consider for both to score are Odd v Valerenga and Sandefjord v Tromso while Stomsgodset v Viking looks good for overs. Four of the last five meetings at Stromsgodset have gone over 2.5 goals and that’s been the case in Viking’s previous five matches. Over 2.5 goals pays 7-11 at 888sport.
For the Super Single I’m doing two bets and I’ll warn people the PSV picks are taken without team news. I’m going to be out for the rest of the day so anyone who is able to view line-ups before having a bet should do so.
My first pick is PSV -4 at Dosko and that pays 7-5 with Coral. The second one is PSV -2 doubles with Rosenborg to score 2+ at Bodo/Glimt and they’ve netted at least two in their last seven away matches.
Everyone knows I don’t like friendlies but for anyone able to research them and check out teams there is money to be made. The only bets on friendlies I’ve had this summer were winners on Aberdeen beating Brechin 8-2 and Hearts winning 2-0 at Bohemians but this pick is slightly more random.
It’s PSV’s first warm-up game of the summer and from what I can see they’ll be given all of their available first-teamers a run out against semi-pro opposition who will have been hand-picked to give them a gentle runaround.
In matches like this it’s never easy identifying the goals line but -2 should be achievable even in second gear but pays no bigger than 2-7 with Coral which is why I’m doubling up. The -4 is a much better price but of course more risky.
One reason I picked out PSV was looking at Saturday’s results and noticing big wins for Dutch sides against minnows – Zevenhoven 0, Utrecht 8; Drachster Boys 0, Cambuur 7; Druetn 0, NEC 6; Laakwartier 1, Den Haag 12; Viod 0, De Graafschap 9.
Hopefully PSV will add to these big wins – but remember if you can check line-ups first that’s advisable although if they go strong you could miss a price.
