IT'S Champions League take two on Wednesday and I hope to do slightly better than I fared on Tuesday.
My Super Single was void as I backed Shakhtar Donetsk draw no bet at Fenerbahce but Milsami beat the 4-1 double with Monaco as they were surprisingly beaten at home to Skenderbeu.
The Top Treble was one out thanks to a lack of goals at Fenerbahce despite the presence of plenty of star forwards although new signing Robin van Persie started on the bench for the Turks.
There are another six ties on Wednesday including Red Bull Salzburg v Malmo, Celtic v Qarabag, Lech Poznan v Basel and Rapid Vienna v Ajax.
In the Europa League Jablonec face Copenhagen and there are loads of friendlies as usual for anyone brave enough to take them on.
I've posted a separate preview on the Celtic match where I've tipped them to win and having looked at the other games the most confident I'm about are Red Bull and Rapid Vienna not to lose. The others are pretty tough to call.
Red Bull crashed out to Malmo in last season's qualifiers and will be out to make amends. Malmo aren't as strong as a year ago and sit fifth in the league having just won two of their last seven away.
Salzburg lost their league opener at Mattersburg but have won six in a row at home and will look to learn from last season when they conceded a late away goal to win 2-1. That turned the tie Malmo's way and the Swedes romped to a 3-0 home victory.
Red Bull will be determined not to repeat the mistakes and will be out to win by at least two goals. They are capable of doing so with Jonathan Soriano again their biggest goal threat. For the Super Single I'm on Red Bull -1 at 11-10 with the likes of bet365, William Hill and Ladbrokes.
For goals bets both to score at Rapid Vienna and over 2.5 goals at Red Bull could be best bets but for the treble I'm taking Celtic, Red Bull and Rapid Vienna win or draw double chance. The Austrians have started their season well and should be able to compete with an Ajax outfit who haven't won any of their last 10 away trips in the Champions League.

i done a 7-fold last season and got 4 out of 7, the 3 that let me down were english championship and league 1 and 2, very hard to pick a winner in these leagues need some advice
SimonMuir, Scottish ones will be up on Friday night but I can tell you it’s Celtic (no-brainer) or Aberdeen without Celtic, Rangers, Dunfermline and Clyde in Scotland.
English league start a week later and I’ll be looking at the Racing Post’s antepost pullout before deciding.
At the moment I’m thinking Chelsea, Middlesbrough, Wigan and Portsmouth but that’s not definite.
In total agreement with your 4 English preseason picks Mr F,Ive already mentioned the first 2 on your antepost thread but Wigan do look to have a good squad with the likes of Max Power a cracking young player signed in July from Tranmere in midfield,Will Grigg from Brentford who scored 20 goals last season on loan at MK Dons and Craig Davies from Bolton. Wigan available @ 5/2 skybet.
Two teams im looking at in lg 2 are Portsmouth and Luton Pompey manager Paul Cook has been able to attract several League 1 calibre players including Michael Doyle, Gary Roberts, Adam Barton and Adam McGurk this should be enough to ensure they will be thereabouts at the top come seasons end.
Luton are also showing their intent having poached the likes of Danny Green and Josh McQuoid from the higher divisions and were just three points outside the play-off places last season following promotion from the Conference the season before,i can see them really pushing for promtion this time.

I just don’t think that team is strong enough to beat us personally, Douglas was 3rd choice right back, Adriano would have been sold had they not had the embargo and Bartra is 4th choice CB imo. First of all I have the Socceroo (Phillipines), TPV and TPK (both Finland) games in an Over 2.5mg treble paying 0.86/1 but am only 0.5 points on it as we have all seen the possibility of failure in such bets. This was the best value I could find at the moment.

All 5 games above BTTS comes out at 11.56/1 Bet365 but I can’t see it happening so will steer clear of it but just wanted to give the price in any case.

A game to keep an eye on for inplay is the u19 game at 12.55 between Nordsjaelland v Haugesund. There have been a lot of goals in the u19 tournament.
A got on a few of these yesterday for fhgs and msgs, they tend to really go for it.
Hopefully it will come up for 1.5fhgs and 3.5mgs.

-1.25 it is essentially splitting your stake between -1 and -1.5
so half your stake goes on -1, and half your stake goes on -1.5
therefore if they win by 1 you get half your stake back.
If they win by 2 you get a full win.
-1.5 is just like -1 Euro Handicap, you must win by 2 to win

Another Thursday, another treck for Aberdeen! THis time it’s a 9000 mile Round trip to Kazackstan – to put it into perspective, there are parts of China closer to Scotland than Almaty! I was on the hosts in their last round home match against Alashkart in what proved to be a profitable night! I Can’t see past a home win again tomorrow even though the dons did tremendously well to win in Croatia
1) Almaty are well into the season and are going well at the top of the league –
2) it’s going to be 34 degrees tomorrow at kick off
3) 4500 trip to get there for the Dons a with a 5 hour time difference to contend with
4) the Dons struggles in the heat of Macedonia against weaker opposition – Almaty are a strong team! Look what happenes to St Johnstone in Armenia in similar condition against weaker opposition
A lot of factors go against Aberdeen and for me the travel heat won’t help, that coupled with the fact Almaty are in great form and will be tough to beat

Not a great day today which shows the precarious nature of football betting, same system as yesterday, betting on games where the stats suggested goals and more goals, again the same as yesterday, but just didn’t happen. As long as it remains the exception to the rule will be ok. Didn’t help myself not waiting another minute for the Socceroos game to come in to play, was too impatient to get out for a run.
Can’t say what overall O2.5 mg result is as lots of games didn’t go to market, which didn’t help, and am struggling to find the results. So far is 6 out of 10 that have gone O2.5 which is way below the 75% minimum since I started posting all the selections on Saturday.
