July 27: Johnb’s Racing Tips & Chat

MRF_RacingTips_Racebets

JOHNB delivered a 1pt profit on the opening day of Glorious Goodwood thanks to his 6-4 double-stake winner.

He’s now 22.71pts down for July and has another joint Nap/NB advised for Wednesday as well as an early tip for Thursday. Johnb says: “Blue Point on Thursday will probably go odds on so advising Thursday’s double stake NAP/NB now. Only skybet& paddy power got odds.”

2017 Derby
CHURCHILL 33-1 (now 20-1) racebets

2000 Guineas 2017

Blue Point 14-1 racebets

Johnb says: “I have already advised Churchill for next year’s 2000 Guineas & Derby – he has been really impressive this season and my view is he will get even better next year.

“Blue Point on the other hand is harder to call for how he will progress next year. If he trains on then in my view it’s a straight fight between Blue Point & Churchill but in the Derby Churchill is the only horse for me – he gives me the same excitement as Golden Horn did.

“But to answer my question earlier the most impressive horse I have seen this year is BLUE POINT with Churchill and Annie Power a close second and third.”

Shogun intresting pick i remember him beating idaho to 2nd in the race before the big one, Out of intrest whats made you go for him john looks a tough race i thought you was going to bet on Gg, backing you either way and a double with bluepoint.

Well done johnb it would be interesting to see your margins based on your nap nap/n/b alone.

Thanks for the shout outs earlier. Cheers for the winner JB. That was a very good hour.
Weather may play a part in tomorrow’s later races with some heavy showers possible.
The day begins for me with a speculative ew bet on
Earth wind and sho @ 12/1
Using the skybet money back if bet loses offer I decided to take the bigger odds. Other option for me was Moscato.

NAP Galilieo Gold 7/4 3.10 Goodwood
NB The Last Lion 3/1 3.45 Goodwood
    Frankie says
However, the big focus will of course be on Galileo Gold.

I go into the Sussex Stakes with a favourite’s chance. Everyone knows what to expect from him. He’s won here before, he handles the track and whoever passes him wins, it’s as simple as that.

He didn’t get the best of it in the Irish 2000 Guineas but the ground was soft and Galileo Gold came back and got the job done at Royal Ascot ahead of some of his re-opposing rivals

    • Profile photo of Johnb
      Johnb 5 months ago

Not really because Goodwood is a 65 mile away from London,
Clerk of the course has just said on the phone they had light rain but cleared up, possibly some rain this afternoon but he doesn’t think it will change the going which is still good to firm,
They watered last night so it wouldn’t be too firm

I think any respect the betting public had left in channel 4 must surely have gone now,
We only have a few months left to put up with a channel that has walked all over punters and shown no respect to them,

There decision today to interview Mark Johnston was a disgrace and a kick in the teeth to punters
Mark Johnston has made his feelings clear on his opinion of punters

Mark Johnston on numerous occasions has said that when ITV take over racing they should do away with all aspects of betting on the show,
Now from a man that has called punters stupid I find it hard to believe such an obviously intelligent person as Mark Johnston can’t see that it’s punters and bookmakers that guarantee there is a sport that gives Mark Johnston a very nice living,
Is he really so stupid as to think racing could survive without betting?

Not long ago Mark Johnston sunk even lower as he showed no respect whatsoever to a member of the public who had spent his hard earned money to go racing,
Upon meeting Mark Johnston this punter very stupidity asked Mark Johnston if there was a horse he fancied?
Mark Johnston’s reply was “just shows how stupid the betting public are when they think we know when a horse will win”

For a start I would be very surprised if there was a trainer apart from Mark Johnston that didn’t fancy a horse at some point, although it is getting increasingly obvious that mr Johnston doesn’t have a clue what he is doing, which would mean he can’t tell when a horse will win

It doesn’t matter who you are, there is a right way to talk to people

Mark Johnston also still refuses to condemn former trainer Al Zarooni

    • Profile photo of errryesno
      errryesno 4 months ago

I pity that god damm fool, mark Johnston. Though I think I’d refuse putting a condomn on him as well, money’s not everything. Love your big priced picked JB , let the money roll in for everyone

John, Mark Johnston is a very respectable figure in racing. Im sure he didnt mean what he said or maybe got his words mixed up. Either way your shouting from the back of a lorry when the reality is there are bigger issues within racing that need to be dealt with. I swear if hear or read any more on johston situation i will have a nervous breakdown.
