MICHAEL VAN GERWEN survived a mighty scare against Ian White to book his place in the World Matchplay semis.
Defending champ Phil Taylor hasn't lost in this tournament for eight years but could be given a run for his money tonight in his quarter-final clash with Dave Chisnall.
The Power leads the head-to-head 18-7 and is 10-29 favourite at Unibet to reach the last four at the expense of Skybet's 3-1 shot Chizzy in the best of 31-leg contest.
Chizzy is 4-9 favourite at Ladbrokes to hit most 180s, with Taylor 3-1 at Coral, and over 17.5 match maximums pays 11-10 at bet365.
In the other quarter-final tonight James Wade is 1-4 at Coral to sink Mensur Suljovic (4-1, William Hill), who stunned Gary Anderson in the last round but will need more heroics to survive this one.
Chris Froome continues to dominate the Tour de France and today it's stage 19 where he's second favourite at 7-2 with Titanbet.

Afternoon Guys St Helens v Hull KR
Tonight’s game comes from Langtree Park as the champions Saints face the robins. The bookies make Saints a massive odds on shot. Hull are getting 22pt start on the handicap.
St Helens are without skipper Jon Wilkin, and have left James Roby out the squad, while Hull are set to give a debut to half-back Dane Chisholm in place of the rested Albert Kelly, while Kevin Larroyer is suspended.
There isn’t a great deal of value in this game, they both seem to have one eye on next weeks Challenge cup game, with Roby and Kelly their star players being rested. Saints should win as the points carry over to the Super 8s were a win for KR doesn’t mean as much as their points wont be carried over when they play in the middle 8s. The entire backline for Saints are odds on and I wouldn’t put anyone of the likes of Quinlan, Turner and Swift scoring, and some bookies do offer doubles.
For me I want a try scorer at a bigger price, and the player I want to be on tonight is Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook. The Robins have conceded 107 tries this season and whilst LMS isn’t a prolific scorer he has crossed 6 times this season, once against tonight’s opponents. He is a big unit and could plough over close to the line if Saints dominate like I think they will. He is 11/4 at William Hill.
He is in the squad so check teams news make sure he isn’t being rested too.

Mensur Suljovic rocked the winter Gardens on Wednesday night as he crushed Gary Anderson hopes of winning Darts triple crown. Anderson was quickly rattled by the way Suljovic plays but for a world champion to miss 26 darts at double is very poor.
James Wade wont make that mistake his doubling this week as been superb, his checkout was 48% against Brendon Dolan in the last round and 43% against Kyle Anderson. Wade isn’t a 180 machine but the machine bangs in 140s for fun he hit 17 in the last game and 16 prior to that. Wade wont let Mensur get under his skin as much as Anderson did, and with his 140 hitting and those checkout percentages I fancy him to cover the -4.5 on the handicap. Suljovic has had two big wins this week but I think this is a step too far. It pays 8/11 at Bet365.
Wade as hit 150 and 148 checkout in his last game and I think he can cover his line which is set at 124.5 at 5/6 Coral.

Taylor v Chisnall
This could be an absolute cracker if Chisnall can hit his doubles. Taylor as looked dodgy on his doubles especially double 16 but you know he would have spent yesterday working on that. Taylor has only hit 39% and 34% in his matches so far and ominously for Chisnall hasn’t averaged a 100 yet. Chizzy hasn’t fared much better on the doubles 31% in both games but it’s his scoring power that gives him extra attempts at the double.
They have met 4 times this season and it is 2-2, Chisnall beating Taylor on the big stage in the premier league and that should give him confidence tonight. I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Chizzy won but he is too unreliable on his doubles. Two bets I like, one is a bit of fun, but main bet is Taylor O7.5 maximums at 11/10 various. He hit 5 in his first game but that only went 12 legs and 7 against Hamilton in a game that went 19 legs, the extended format and if Chizzy starts banging them in that will likely to spur Taylor on.
My fun bet on this game is for a 180 to be hit in the first leg. Chizzy is the best maximum hitter in the game and Taylor has hit a 180 in the opening leg in both his games so far. It could be an early pay out if it lands at 5/4 Paddy Power.
Don’t forget if your not a the 9 darter then that’s worth a couple of quid especially in this game.
