THERE was plenty of Champions League qualifying action on Wednesday and when you look at the results there wasn't much between most of the teams – only Legia Warsaw and Copenhagen winning by more than a goal.
That will make most of the second legs interesting. Unfortunately my Top Treble was beaten by Malmo drawing at home but well done to Greg for his winning goals fourfold.
There were plenty of winners as usual so well done to all of you.
Thursday is all about the Europa League matches and I'll post a preview of Aberdeen v Siroji. Two Irish teams in action are Cork at home to AEK Larnaca and Shamrock Rovers who entertain Mlada Boleslav.
Other games that catch the eye include Ostersunds v Galatasaray, Valletta v Utrecht and Haugesund v Lech Poznan. I've looked over most of the ties and again finding value isn't easy. Either the games are one-sided or close to call.
In the end I've decided on one Top Treble which is Aberdeen – reasoning is on a separate post – AEL Limassol and Astra Giurgiu
AEL travel to Luxembourg to face the Progres side that defeated Rangers. That was the minnows' first European win and they didn't look good enough to beat an experienced side such as AEL.
Complete the treble with Astra who look too big at just under evens at home to Azerbaijan side Zira who could get zero out of this tie. Astra have gained experience in recent seasons and have beaten the likes of West Ham and Plzen.
My overnight Super Single was void as Dom Dwyer didn't play for the USA who rang the changes but just managed to beat Martinique 3-2.

Having watched Trackai defeat us in two legs, there’s no denying they are a decent team and the fact they are 18 games into their season was a major factor! As impressed as I was by them we dominated large spells of the tie but were completely toothless up front! Difficult to tell to be honest at this stage of the season. Most teams will have changed personnel and any bet is risky in these games.
On paper Astra should be better and there is a big difference in the co-efficients but caution should be taken.

I have been following the thread and the success of Nathan and similar betters with interest.
I have been going down the >0.5 goal line for a while and trying to hone my technique to in-play games. I tend to use the pattern of activity during the game partly to decide whether to bet or not (as well as reading the great reviews by some of the tipsters here and looking at past results on Soccerway) and I try and keep to singles, doubles or occasionally trebles. It seems to me that Bet 365 are offering fewer >0.5 goals before matches / earlier in games now, so I wonder if they are wising up to customers playing this particular market. So it’s good to have a few accounts with different firms.
I think starting with £10 and banking £5 at £25, then a further £5 at £50 is good (then your stake is covered). I haven’t decided what to bank at £100 but maybe £10….and so on.

Tried and tested myself mate, first one was very successful for me, banked about £450 off a tenner but got upto and lost a further £1300 for going against the rules…
Started at £100 last night and up to £420 again and banked about £100 so far so all free money at the min for me!
Hardest part is staying disciplined into this betting technique alone, it’s easy to have a ‘fancy’ and throw down £50 because your bank balance is getting high, I’ve started sticking to £10/£20 singles when I ‘fancy’ something and only have 2/3 of those a day and the rest a view as money making rather than betting, sort of like trading stocks and getting out at the right time, but with this method it’s about putting the investment in the right game rather than at the right time
