I'M often questioned when I put up a double as a Super Single but Thursday was an example of why I sometimes do it.
I couldn't see many decent-priced singles I fancied so stuck up a 5pts double that paid just under evens and it came in easily with Elfsborg winning 5-0 and Zilina 3-0.
My 5-1 1pt Top Treble on the handicaps would have come in Asian while the both to score treble was two goals short.
On Friday there are more friendlies than anything else but as I did on Wednesday I'll probably miss out when the markets go up as I'll be at the Scottish Open golf all day.
Games that have caught my eye include Belgian minnows Deinz v Kortrijk, German regional side Eintracht Trier v Troyes and third tier Swiss side Etoile against Burnley. If any of the big guns field strong sides you should be looking at somewhere in the region of over 4.5 goals if you can get a decent price or back them to win HT and FT.
One of the highest-profile friendlies is Celtic v Real Sociedad at St Mirren Park. Celtic will be in trouble if they defend as they did against Dukla Prague in their 5-3 defeat last week but boss Ronny Deila will want to get his side sorted out before Wednesday's Champions League qualifier against Stjarnan.
There are some league games to look at including Molde v Haugesund in Norway and RoPS v HJK Helsinki in Finland. Molde are on a decent run and should beat a side with just one win on the road – but they haven't lost in five to their hosts.
HJK lead the way but have won just two of eight on the road including a 3-0 defeat at FC Inter last time out. Their record in Rovaniemi is good though and it could be draw against the second-placed side who are four points back with two games in hand. RoPS look big at 21-10 so for a Super Single I'm taking them draw no bet at 5-4 with Paddy Power.
I called the women's semi-finals correctly at Wimbledon and now it's the men's turn with Novak Djokovic expected to blow away Richard Gasquet before Andy Murray and Roger Federer meet in what could be a thriller.
World No.1 Djoko is no bigger than 1-12 at sportingbet to beat the Frenchman and 4-6 to win 3-0. Gasquet's been superb the whole tournament but it's difficult to see how he can push the Serb. If you think he can take a set back him to lose in four at 3-1 with the likes of William Hill and bet365.
Murray is a best 5-6 favourite with BetVictor and McBookie and having tipped him pre-tournament to meet Djokovic in the final I'm standing by the Scot. However, I'm less confident than I was at the start as Fed has sailed through and it could be really close.
Federer is 11-10 at boylesports and best bet could be to back five sets at 9-4 with Ladbrokes. Murray is 11-2 at sporting bet to win 3-2 and 15-4 at boylesports to triumph 3-1.
I won't be putting any other Friday bets so let's go with 0.5pts on Murray 3-2.

Gone 3-1 down to the bookies, but still in a position to fancy some big boy bets and this one is no different.
Cabinteely vs Shelbourne at 7.45pm in the Irish first division looks scrumptious.
On the face of it, Shelbourne should win (8/13 bet way), and have done so H2H home and away winning a measly 1-0 each time. But recently, they’ve been leaking goals and an injury to their defender Simon Dixon, doesnt help. They’ve conceded to a couple of decent teams, but in total they’ve leaked 6 goals in their last 3 aways. Injury to one of their top strikers, Mark Sandford also rules him out this match.
The Cabo’s have got off to a poor start, as would be expected froom any promoted team, but they’re beginning to find their feet it seems. They were desperately unlucky not to get something more from their home games against Cobh Ramblers and high flying Wexford by conceding injury time heart breakers in both matches. Sandwiched in the middle was a formidable 2-0 win over Athlone.
The Cabo’s have mustered 2 goals in their last 3 home games which would shock anyone given their poor performances and I’m tipping them to do the same tonight.
Both teams have seen a goal fest in recent games, and bookies agree BTTS looks good (8/9 888 Sport).
Ger Pander is a blow for the Cabo’s, one of their top strikers has left for Drogheda this week, but that leaves joint top striker, John Mckeown to bag the goals. Sodiq Oguntola and Shane O’Neill have been in fine form too, scoring 2 in their last 3 home games each.
An additional market that looks equally meaty is Cabinteely +1. They’ve only let punters down once in their 8 home games they’ve played so far including against bad boys Wexford (2-3) and Finn Harps (1-1) and although opposition is also a factor, The Shel’s have not won by 2 clear goals on their travels this season.
