Jul 20: Mr Fixit’s Top Tips

MRF_TopTips_Genting
ALL my tips were on the Betfred Cup on Tuesday and it was a mixed night.
The two Super Singles lost with Rangers being a goal short on the main one but my fivefold won at 16-5.
Wednesday’s all about Celtic v Lincoln Red Imps as Brendan Rodgers’ side try to make amends for their shock 1-0 defeat in Gibraltar last week and I’ve posted a separate preview.
I can’t see how Celtic can fail to qualify and they should be looking to put the minnows in their place with a big win.
There is on Betfred Cup tie and one Europa League qualifier and I’ve studied them all before picking out my top tips.
Let’s start with Celtic. Last week I lost 5pts backing them conservatively -1AH in Gibraltar only to be stunned by the result. I can’t see anything but a convincing win for Rodgers’ men and while there will be doubters – and quite rightly so – I’m aiming to win my 5pts back with Celtic -2 at 1-2 at Coral. That’s also my challenge bet so a lot riding on it.
Ten points is usually the max I risk losing on one day but I’ve not been close to betting my max this month so I’m adding  1pt both to score treble on the Champions League qualifiers.
Start with Norrkoping v Rosenborg. The Norwegians won 3-1 at home in the first leg so will expect to progress on the plastic in Norrkoping. The Swedes drew 3-3 with Osterunds at the weekend and there should be more goals here.
Next it’s Trencin v Olimpija. Trencin were 4-0 up after 32 minutes of the first leg but were pegged back to 4-3 so it’s all to play for. Olimpija will have to attack but are likely to concede too.
Finally, take FH v Dundalk. The Irish were held 1-1 at home despite looking the better team. They must score to have a chance of going through and I believe they will but their defence is a worry.
10pts Super Single
Celtic -2 (7.45pm)
(1-2, Coral)
1pt Both to Score Treble
FH v Dundalk (8.15pm)
Trencin v Olimpija (7.15pm)
Norrkoping v Rosenborg (6.15pm)

July has been tricky since the culmination of the Euros. A lot of near misses make for a month in the red. Still, I’ll continue to contribute where I’m confident having been a long time lurker. I’ve picked out two games for tomorrow that particularly pique interest.

    South Korea K-League:
Sangju Sangmu vs Suwon O2.5 Match Goals @ 3/4 (Bet365)

In their last 7 games, Sangju have managed to score two or more goals themselves all but once. On the occasion they didn’t, they travelled to an Incheon side that average just 1 goal conceded at home all season. Sangju’s prolific scoring form, though in a purple patch, has been relatively consistent at home having scored 22 goals in 9 home games. As such, I first considered taking Sangju team goals. However, Suwon themselves have seen BTTS come up in their last 8 away games and, therefore, match goals appeals.

    Friendly:
SSV Markranstadt vs RB Leipzig O3.5 Match Goals @ 1/2 (SkyBet – Currently Highest ‘Goals’ Available)

The price above is much shorter than I’d usually consider but I have to admit to taking this price while available. Should the market appear tomorrow, I’ll also be on O4.5 goals. Leipzig were promoted to the Bundesliga for the upcoming campaign after a brilliant season. They kicked off their pre-season fixtures last time out with a 0-10 defeat of 1.FC Frankfurt, a team playing in the ‘North’ of the 5th Tier NOFV-Oberliga. Today’s opponents? Members of the ‘South’ division of the same league. Leipzig should hopefully win this game just as comfortably.

    AFTURELDING / HVÍTI U19 VS. GROTTA / KRIA U19 (21.00 KO):

Afturelding/Hviti sit top after 8 games with a g/d of +16 and take on lowly Grotta/Kria who languish joint bottom with a g/d of -15.

The home side DO concede fairly openly but invariably outscore their opponents – they have notched the following team goals so far: 2-1-2-2-6-1-3-5-7.

Similarly, Grotta like to concede goals but unfortunately for them they don’t get many in reply – goals conceded so far look like this: 5-4-3-3-3-3-4-3.

    Selections:

    OVER 4.5 MGS…8/13

    OVER 5.5 MGS…29/20

    Over 6.5 MGS…29/10

    FH VS. DUNDALK…

FH were a great price to score in the 1st leg and they reciprocated well with a 76th minute equaliser to bring a 1-1 scoreline into the second leg.

I watched FH draw 1-1 with a poor IBV side the other night and they looked tired with their usually tight defensive set-up making a few mistakes.

I note Dundalk’s game with Sligo was postponed and that means there coming in refreshed for tonight’s trip to Hafnarfjordur.

    3 selections:

    BTTS…EVENS

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…7/4

    DUNDALK OVER 1.5 TGS…12/5

Good luck with all bets 👍

Time to win back the money I lost in the first leg. It wasn’t pretty and the bank balance took a massive hit but I’m hopeful of a decent return tonight. Just to make everyone aware that first and anytime goalscorer prices are available on the majority of the bookie websites. For some bizarre reason you’re unable to check best prices on oddschecker so it involves you having to trawl through the different sites to find the best price for what you’re looking for. If there’s anything I’m certain about its that a) Celtic will win, b) Celtic will not concede, c) Griffiths will likely score at some point in the game. With Celtic being 1/14 to win and Griffiths 1/3 to score anytime it’s hard to find any decent value. Even with the defenders I back for Celtic the odds are extremely short, however, Skybet are giving us a better opportunity to turn a profit. Griffiths is 10/11 to out score Red Imps. Considering his anytime price and the likelihood of Red Imps not scoring, I feel this represents excellent value. Even if Red Imps did score a goal there’s every chance Griffiths could get a double. I’m also going for a punt on Lustig First Goalscorer @ 20/1 and where I’d normally look to back him anytime, he’s no bigger than 4/1. Instead I’ll go with Lustig to outscore the opposition @ 8/1.

    Recommended Bets:

    MIKAEL LUSTIG FIRST GOALSCORER @ 20/1 (P.Power)

GRIFFITHS TO OUTSCORE THE OPPOSITION @ 10/11 (Skybet)

LUSTIG TO OUTSCORE THE OPPOSITION @ 8/1 (Skybet)

Morning gentlemen – good to see some cracking winners from last night’s matches again on here. 👍

    11:15am – South Melbourne U20 v Bulleen Lions U20

    11:00AM – South Korea K-League Classic

Leroy has already mentioned he’ll be on over 2.5 goals in this match and provided his reasoning – totally agree mate and will be on that also. Another market I’ll be on in this game is team goals – again, Leroy briefly mentioned it in his post…

Decent first half of the campaign for Sangmu – they’re hard to beat at the Civic Stadium and very much like scoring there too – with 22 notched in 9 matches there so far and lost only once. Bluewings are making a tough time of it this season – whether that’s to do with their participation in the AFC Champions League, I don’t know…what I do know is they concede, a fair amount. They’re joint highest conceding team in the league with 32 from 20 going in their net.

6 of Sangmu’s last 7 matches has seen them score at least twice – AND against some prolific opponents such as Seoul. 7 of Bluewings last 12 matches have seen them concede 2 goals or more and I think Sangmu have the firepower to notch twice here today…I wouldn’t be surprised with a high scoring Sangmu win or draw, so for the above reasons I’ll be on…

    Sangju Sangmu +1.5 team goals @ 11/10

Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 8/11 (Courtesy of Leroy)

    11:00AM – South Korea K-League Classic

    Seoul v Jeonbuk

Jeonbuk have been immense this campaign – being the only side in the league to yet taste defeat. Arguably this is the league leaders toughest test yet this season – away to 2nd placed Seoul. Both teams like a goal, and this can be seen from both teams recent matches:

Seoul have seen 5 from their last 7 matches have 3 goals or more scored. Jeonbuk have seen this in their last 5 straight matches. H2H stats show 3 from the last 5 meetings between these two also had this outcome. I just hope they don’t cancel each other out today and it ends in a high scoring match…I’m going with:

    Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5 (Main Bet)

The last 6 ties between these two have seen 4 wins for Jeonbuk, 1 draw and 1 win to Seoul, so risking a small stake with the backup of money back if draw.

Jeonbuk 0.0 Asian Handicap @ 1/1 (Small Stake)

Dont post too often folks but I have noticed a game later in Ecuador between El Nacional and Del Valle.

Have read all the stats and I can not see any good reason for the away side to be priced at 16-1 with 365.

    Double chance is 8-1.

Seems that Del Valle have more than a fighting chance.

Can anyone shed any light as to why the price is so large?

If you can find value in the Celtic game without needing a goal fest of first goalscorer then I praise you. Think as a bank builder, Celtic Score 1st and 1st Goal Up To And Including 30th Minute @ 2/5 @ William Hill has a chance. Probably not wise backing anything large on that.

Couldn’t find Celtic -2 on Lads FOBT but got it last night with Coral as part of betting Challenge. Wouldn’t have minded including it in today’s FOBT treble but only Match Betting and 2.5mgs 0/U available on machine. All other games were like 40, 50, 60+ markets. Same with Rangers game yesterday, machine offered like 3 or 4 bets on it, no handicap options at all. I’m not sure what gives there. Asking for handicaps at counter has lead to staff confusion in the past, so left it alone.

        • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author

stagger, not sure about Coral but machines in Ladbrokes are not their prices – run by another firm.
Also I see William Hill starting to introduce them.

Well, I’ll be a son of a gun. I never knew the prices were ran by another firm. That might explain the big price difference between counter and machine when I did a BTTS 4fold some months back. Counter paid 8/1, the machine 12/1.

Gone on these two doubles. I couldn’t decide between the straight win & over 1.5 goals for the Aberdeen game tomorrow so I’ve split the stake 50/50 on them.

    Over 3.5 Celtic goals @ 17/20
    Over 1.5 Aberdeen goals @ 17/20

    Double pays 3.42 ladbrokes

    Over 3.5 Celtic goals @ 17/20
    Aberdeen to win @ 10/11

    Double pays 3.53 ladbrokes

SSV Markranstadt vs RB Leipzig O3.5 Match Goals @ 1/2 *WIN*

I noted that I’d look for better Leipzig prices in the morning. I managed to get 7/10 at Coral for the above market, and 6/4 at the same firm for O4.5 Goals. It’s 0-5 after 60 minutes so that’s a nice lift!

Chelsea kick off at 7pm with a very strong line up. They do love a corner but race to 7 is only available at 4/6 at the moment. Gonna wait a few minutes for the price to improve before jumping on.

Hey guys its your main man Max. Last week I generously gave the bookies some of my cash to hold, I took lots of their back on Sunday with my golf tips and now I want my Celtic cash back. I am on the same tip as last week and sticking two extra 5pts on goal scorers to grab a brace.

Dembele score & win (20PTS NAP)

Dembele to score a brace 7/4
Griffiths to score a brace 5/4

Chris Guy, nice one. Could have been six or seven already. It’s any number if Celtic keep going.
By the way anyone on the btts treble can cover. I’ve put 1pt on no to btts at FH at 9-10 with Marathonbet.

HullShaker, what are Dundalk’s chances of scoring? Anyone who hasn’t covered the btts treble can have no to both to score at 5-4. I covered when it was 9-10.

Got to think Dundalk may get one and FH could well lose their discipline…couple of yellows now and Dundalk on top

    FH VS.

    BTTS…EVENS
    **WON**

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…7/4
    **WON**

    DUNDALK OVER 1.5 TGS…12/5
    **WON**

        Shaker you Iceman !
Had a considerable punt on btts Dundalk game.
        Only got 10-11, but hey!!!!!!
Shows the advantage for tips scroungers like myself, when you put detailed write ups which catch the roving eye.

Jordan does good write ups but got a row today off Mr fixit for not enough grammar with his tip.
Only kidding guys, lord Jordan you are on fire this week and thanks for the tip shaker man.

I’m going to watch connahs quay v Vojvodina at nearby Rhyl tomorrow, so any pointers would be appreciated.
I reckon draw ht Vojvodina ft with a 0-1 0-2 1-2 correct score spread.

Rooney off to Everton this weekend

OK I’m lying but wouldn’t surprise me as he isn’t likely to start as a striker unless he loses a stone and gets fit, and Jose doesn’t put square pegs in round holes, so no midfield role for the fat one.

      PS
This isn’t anti united as I am a united fan, but its time for a new challenge for Rooney and I reckon Everton could recharge his batteries.

Elvis Parsley – Rhyll eh? Last time I was there was 28 years ago…is Rhyll Sun Centre still there?

Was like heaven as a kid but looking back now is was just a big dirty pool full of verucca socks and plasters left by the hordes of scallies from Liverpool and Manchester who’d dragged ourselves out of our rain-soaked hovels for a bit of sea, sand and err…more rain 😂

Ahh I see what’s happened haha.

I did say Celtic to score 1st up to the 30th minute @ 2/5 was probably a bank builder but didn’t expect 3 before that time. Weird they couldn’t grab anymore for the ones wanting the main handicap. Might not have anything tomorrow. Will have a ganders.
