ON a quiet Monday I did a Super Single inspired by Jordan and HullShaker.

Jordan tipped Jonkoping to score before 57 minutes and they netted after 18 while I simply took them to net. That was doubled with Vikingur to win with HullShaker backing them -1.

Two injury-time goals brought up both our both bets so cheers guys.

There's a busy card of Champions League qualifiers and Betfred Cup matches on Tuesday. I'll post a separate Betfred Cup preview and look at the CL stats in the RFO in the morning before deciding what other tips to put up.

For now it's a Super Single on Rangers -2 at home to Annan. It's Rangers' first home game since they clinched a return to the top flight and some new boys will get a runout and be looking to impress.

This should be a 3-0 or 4-0 type scoreline so I'm on -3AH at 9-10 with bet365.

A second Super Single for 1pt is St Mirren to beat Ayr and both to score. The Championship rivals both started with good wins last Saturday but with experienced duo John Sutton and David Clarkson up front Saints should edge this.

I've added a Betfred fivefold and goals bets and avoided Champions League qualfiers on my top tips.

There are too many short prices as well as teams who are through. Possibly best value is with Sheriff at home to Hapoel Beer Sheva. Sheriff were winning 1-0 in Israel before having a man sent off and they conceded three penalties in a match they lost 3-2. They are 11-8 at boylesports to turn it round.

    Evening (just) all.

It’s about the only game on but how can you ignore a game that has two former premier league greats in Colin Kazim ‘coca cola kid’ Richards and robinwho? I can’t that’s for sure. Throw in one of Brazil’s most average strikers ever in Fred and surely this has goals?

    Atletico v cortiba – BTTS 4/5

Thanks Snowster, I was waiting for the Mineiro win to drift out to a reasonable price before getting on. You were spot on with the goals mate just a pity there was a shortage of corners throughout the game to complete the double.

    RANGERS VS ANNAN

Rangers won comfortably against Motherwell and the should breeze past Annan in the cup. Rangers are playing at home so will hopefully put on a show for their fans. Could be 4-0, 5-0 or 6-0 easily and I believe I’ve found a cracker in the goalscorer market. Andy Halliday is 11/1 with Paddy Power for first goal with all other firms offering just 5/1. I’ll have a small punt on that but an even larger punt on anytime goalscorer. He’s 11/4 with Paddy Power yet as short as 4/5 with VC.

    Recommended Bets:

ANDY HALLIDAY FIRST GOALSCORER @ 11/1

ANDY HALLIDAY ANYTIME GOALSCORER @ 11/4

    Both prices with Paddy Power.

    Good luck everyone

    Morning gents

    Scottish league cup action tonight

Had a good look through tonight’s card – it’s probably not a night for big stakes given how Saturday’s results went! Best way to go could be goals (isn’t it always). Have picked out three games where we should see some goals and I’d be surprised if this wasnt there or there abouts

    Dundee United v Cowdenbeath
    Rangers v Annan
    St Mirren v Ayr

Back over 2.5 match goals treble 21/10 (Bet365)

  7. HullShaker 8 years ago

More jam than Hartleys with last night’s late, late show in Iceland but not too much of a surprise as (and the Craneguy’ll back me up here) if there was ever a place for late goals then it would be over there.

This evening’s action sees 4 x Deild 4 games and one U19 game – I’d expect goals in all of them and worth following in-play…especially second half goals!

The Icelandic Youth game is worth picking out but there’ll be no markets up till later.

    AFTURELDING / HVÍTI U19 VS. GROTTA / KRIA U19 (21.00 KO):

Afturelding/Hviti sit top after 8 games with a g/d of +16 and take on lowly Grotta/Kria who languish joint bottom with a g/d of -15.

The home side DO concede fairly openly but invariably outscore their opponents – they have notched the following team goals so far: 2-1-2-2-6-1-3-5-7.

Similarly, Grotta like to concede goals but unfortunately for them they don’t get many in reply – goals conceded so far look like this: 5-4-3-3-3-3-4-3.

I’d say the goal-line will be set around 1.800 for Over 4.5 and if the price is right, I’ll look for 5+ goals.

Good luck with all bets ?

I noticed Chris Froome inplay odds of grabbing his 3rd TDF title had dropped to just 1/10. I hope some of you took my advice and jumped on the 7/5 on offer ( before the mountain stages started ).
Yesterday he kinda toyed with the pelaton by doing several false breakaways to check out who still had the legs.
Barring a crash, he’ll do the biz. There’s more mountains to come.

FYI the last stage is never contested, I believe its some kind of gentleman’s agreement so the title will be decided close of play in the penultimate stage.

Also, there’s another young Brit, not sure his name but he was in 3rd overall, its possible he could be chasing down 2nd.

All Froome has to do is make sure that he goes with any breakaway involving his nearest rivals – basically match them. His team Sky are all in terrific shape and he still has 7 riders to drive him forward. I don’t think that any of his past titles he’s had that many of his team mates still participating at such a late stage in the Tour. ( team mates are a bit like pacemakers for long distance world record attempts, they set early blistering pace, then peel off/drop out because their energy is spent ).
7 team mates left means Dave Brailsford has managed that team superbly, and shoul Froome need to find that extra gear, they can essentially rotate the pacesetting/breakaways in this last week.

Morning guys, well done on the Iceland match again Sir HullShaker – unlucky with the +2.5 TGS. And nice one Mr F on your double and Jordan with the Jonkopings tip ? – decent day in the end for me with a nice double in Aussie/Korea followed by a win in Finland – shame Midtylland conceded that late goal to down the win, but still in profit ?

Had a good scour through today’s matches and two of my favourite countries for goals markets are in action today, that’s the Malaysian Cup and Swedish U21’s leagues…

    Perak v PKNS

4 of the last 5 meetings between these two have gone over 2.5 goals. Amazingly, PKNS’ last 17 matches have seen 3 goals or more notched, with a good portion of those seeing more than that. Perak’s last 11 matches have had the same outcome – and I’m hoping that trend continues into today’s match.

    Johor Darul II v Sarawak

10 of the 13 times these two clubs have played each other have seen a minimum of 3 goals notched.

Johor II are smashing the goals in at home this campaign, especially in the league – with 21 bagged from 9 home league matches…and Johor II’s last 4 matches have had 3 goals or more scored (4-1, 4-1, 2-2, 2-1)

Sarawak concede a lot, especially away – and that may explain why they’re 1pt off the relegation zone in the Super League. They can notch though and have scored in 8 of their last 9 away matches, and 7 of those they bagged 2 goals or more. 4 from their last 5 matches have seen 3 goals or more scored.

With these being Cup matches, anything could happen – therefore I’ll be sticking to low stakes on this…

    Over 2.5 goals double @ 13/10

Also putting some spare change on the following games…

    Johor II v Sarawak
    Kuala Lumpur v Pahang
    Perak v PKNS
    Negeri v Malacca

    Over 2.5 goals 4-fold @ 5/1

Will also post some tips on the Swedish U21 matches later, but right now there’s no markets available on these. Good luck today all!

I’ll jump on these Waddo, thanks.

Noticed PKNS game is now 8/13 for overs as a single with 365 – great odds considering the stats.

    • waddo 8 years ago

Good luck liamw – hmm, that’s shot up from around 8/15 earlier this morning…do the bookies know something I wonder? Decent as a single then as you say.

stagger, just back from the golf. First time I’ve had to cut a round short because of the heat.

Anyway fifth pick is Dundee United.

    Rangers v Annan

Rangers will make at least 7 changes tonight and I expect the team will be very close to the following

    Gilks
    Hodson Kiernan Hill Wallace
    Windass Thompson Kranjcar
    O’Halleron Waghorn McKay

Joey Barton will also get the final 30 minutes tonight. I think we’ll win comfortably tonight and think the best value is in first half goals with the line up we are expected to play.

    Suggested Bets
Over 1.5 first half goals EVS
Over 2.5 first half goals 16/5 both Coral

    Long shot treble
    Rangers over 4.5 team goals
    Dunfermline over 2.5 team goals
