Hearts and Hibs couldn't find the net but it was a better night for Aberdeen who beat Ventspils 3-0 with a strong finish at Pittodrie. And well done to the Irish teams and Welsh minnows Connah's Quay for some good results.
There were winners commented on the site and well done once again to HullShaker who as someone said yesterday should change his name to IceShaker after more wins on Icelandic teams in Europe.
My Super Single was England's Callum Shinkwin to beat Zander Lombard and Ryan Evans in the final group out at The Open and for almost the full round Shinkwin was beating his playing partners. However, three dropped shots near the end – including a double bogey at the last – meant he finished with a 73 and was beaten by Evans.
I'm heading down to Royal Troon on Friday and will be sure to shout “choker” if I see him!

Bottom placed ATM face a 6th placed DRB-Hicom this morning with ATM being the leagues lowest scoring team. At home they’ve seen 11 go in their own net from 3 matches, and they’ve yet to win a match thus far. From the stats I can find, they’ve met 7 times in the past with 4 of them being high scoring meetings.
3 from DRB-Hicom’s last 4 have had 5/3 & 4 goals scored in total, whilst ATM’s last 10 straight matches have seen a minimum of 3 goals, but generally higher scoring losses. Very good case for overs in this one.
9:45am – Perlis v Negeri
Perlis have been pretty decent at home so far winning 4 from 6 there, having lost only once and scoring 13 in those. They come up against a Negeri side who’re decent away from home with 3 wins from 5 and only 1 loss on the road, having scored 10 in those. The teams have met many times before with a good mixture of high and low scoring matches but what interests me is Negeri’s recent matches…
Negeri have seen 3 goals or more in 9 of their last 10 matches, and Perlis see an average of 3 goals in their Premier League games so far. I just hope with both teams not conceding many it won’t produce a low scoring match.
I’m slightly less confident of goals in the Perlis match than the ATM match, but it’ll do for me to start the day off with a small stake…
