IT was almost a perfect day but it was certainly a better day.
My Top Treble won at 23-10 thanks to Juventus -1, Napoli and Sporting and I advised cover on my 15-2 both to score treble that was let down in leg three by Empoli.
I chose to put 0.25pts on Deportivo at 8-1 when Mirandes took the lead but they didn't hold on so it was a small loss on my SS of Mirandes draw no bet. One site user had a go at me when I later advised anyone who hadn't covered at 8-1 to back Deportivo at 25-1.
The reasoning was the odds looked too big with about 20 minutes to go and to cover the stake was going to take 0.04pts or in my money 40p. I think it was worth the risk and if you don't agree with any advice I give you are free to leave it alone.
Again there's not much on the go on Thursday with a decent-looking League One clash between Wigan and Gillingham and two Spanish Cup games – Cadiz v Celta Vigo and Eibar v Las Palmas.
I'm seriously tempted by a Gills side who have climbed to second in the table after four successive wins. They look too big at 3-1 with the likes of bet365 and Ladbrokes but Wigan have to be given some respect.
Gary Caldwell's men lie fifth due to drawing too many games (eight) and scoring too few at home. However, while they've netted just 15 at the DW they've conceded a league best five in 11 outings.
I might be kicking myself if Gillingham win but for the Super Single I'm keeping the draw on side and going with Gillingham or draw double chance at just under evens.
Both to score also pays 5-6 and should come in looking at Gillingham's stats but it's not so clearcut when you look at Wigan figures.
As for the Spanish games I'd back Celta Vigo at Cadiz if it's confirmed boss Eduardo Berizzo fields his strongest team, barring Nolito who is injured.
Celta lie fifth in La Liga but are looking to get back on track after back-to-back defeats. Cadiz are only playing because Real Madrid fielded an ineligible player in their 3-1 away win and were kicked out.
The fact Cadiz netted is interesting and both to score is a possibility while Celta are evens at Betway.
Eibar are also evens at Betway and Betfred to beat La Liga rival Las Palmas. It was 2-0 to Las Palmas in this league fixture in October although Eibar have improved since then with one defeat in five.
Las Palmas drew 2-2 at Athletic Bilbao last time out and that was a surprise as away from home they've picked up three points in 10 matches. I'd favout Eibar but not enough to put points on it so for tonight the Super Single is the only bet.

As a wigan season ticket holder, we have a decent home record and can beat any team in this league. But we have drawn too many games this season. Im going along tonight and not too sure what to expect. If Wildschuts is playing then we have a good chance of winning. But we are a bit leaky at the back. Mrf – thanks for your concern but have being doing this for some time now and met plenty of ‘high rollers’ in my time. I’m more of a team player myself and am genuinely pleased when the site wins (generally) and I haven’t. I always have great fun on here for the last couple of years or so and win more than I loose, you find you just have to live with the guys who want to shoot their mouths off and run down everyone else all the time. Right these post above I’m sorry but something has got to be done now this is now 2 days in a row with personal insults and slagginh off tips etc when his are no better and on a lot of occasions worse. Before Real Madrid were kicked out the Copa this year they won 3:1 at Cadiz in the first leg and I think the Segunda side can score again tonight. Celta Vigo have kept just 1 clean sheet away all season in all competitions while Cadiz have scored more than anyone else at home in the Segunda and failed to score just twice there this season. Considering I haven’t had a losing month since posting my totals, which ended up at 150+ points for the year from football (since May which is when I started posting totals), and considering I have profited 130+ points since the NFL started in September, you’re barking up the wrong tree to aim poor betting towards myself. You stick to your EVS fivefolds and call them tips. The funniest part of it all is that you think you could charge people £30 a year for your ‘tips’. How different today could have been missed out on two 25/1 accs cause of two youth team games in future I’ll listen to you about team line up before I do that again, still in have one more 29/1 and I have a fun bet at 535/1 which need elbar and yes celta yes and over 2.5 btts Wigan game. paul, don’t know if you noticed my post at the start of the year or not but ive cut back a bit as was betting silly amounts per day at times, I’m down to betting about 10% of what I normally done per day and its still as much fun atm anyway, its not about the amounts its the chase ;)

Just had a look at saturdays card in vanarama national, woking are 10/3 away at wrexham, can anyone tell me why they are such a high price, can see that wrexham beat them in november 3 – 0 in FA Cup but can’t see anyother reason. Thanks
Wrexham are a big name in division, and bookies have been giving good odds all season on opponents. Wrexham have struggled lately, but generally goals occur at Racecourse ground! As far as Woking are concerned, I’ve found their form rather patchy , although they had reasonable start to season. Hope this helps!

Actually, Icelandic football owes me nothing and, at times, has proved an absolute goldmine these last few seasons. Season proper still a way off yet but tomorrow sees the start of a little taster in the Fotbolti.com Cup…
Bit of a heads-up; the Fotbolti.net Cup is actually a pre-season tournament for the top Icelandic teams. Not necessarily the truest form indicator for the coming season but a chance for squads to test the water – it’s a Cup that’s taken pretty seriously though.
KR v FH (2100):
Tough one to call and should be tight. FH finished top to KR’s 3rd placed final placing last season but KR certainly had the better form in the run-in.
The most recent H2H also went KR’s way with a 1-3 away win. As ever, I’ll be backing goals when they are up and always worth tracking in-play, no prices but Over 2.5 should have solid claims.
WDW odds are up and I’d side with KR at home – 6/4 whilst KR DNB is 10/11. Advice pre-season would be goals bets though.
Vikingur Reyjkavic v IR (1900):
This one launches the Reykjavik Cup which, again, follows as above; a pre-season tournament for ‘lower’ teams.
IR were looking good for promotion to Deild 1 last season but lost it in the final run-in and finished 3rd in a tight race. They face Vikingur and the home side finished low in the top flight after a half decent start to the campaign.
Expect goals here and 4+ would be a reasonable expectation. I also think IR will score despite being 6/1 outsiders so consider BTTS & Overs markets.
Will be checking Coral out tomorrow as they usually have pretty wide coverage of Icelandic markets as do SJ.
