ANDY MURRAY is just two matches away from Australian Open glory but he faces a formidable challenge in Thursday morning's semi-final (8.30am British time).
The Scot goes into battle against Tomas Berdych – who boasts the advantage of having Murray's former coach Dani Vallverdu on his backroom team – and is 8-11 favourite with Sportingbet against the 7-5 Czech (Boylesports).
Berdych edges the pair's head-to-head record 6-4 and it should be a close affair, so Unibet's 7-17 for over 3.5 sets, BetVictor's 8-5 for four sets and William Hill's 5-2 for five sets are all worth a look. No matter how long it takes here's hoping Andy prevails in the end.

Andy Murray vs Thomas Berdych
This is a very difficult match to predict, both players have big serves, both playing fantastic and both look in fantastic shape.
Thomas berdych has been very impressive in every kind of way so far and for me it was no
surprise to see him demolish nadal the way he did, the thing that has really impressed me is the way he has mentally conducted himself on court and this is will be a major role if he is to beat Murray,
I feel if berdych wins this match it will have to be in 3 sets.
Andy Murray is playing fantastic as well, the advantage Murray has in this match is return of serve and variety to his game, he has the ability to take the ball extremely early on his return and through any given rally, I think if Andy was to win both of these things will be crucial.
My prediction
I feel Murray will come out and play his game from the start but if he losses any important points early on he defend which will see berdych take the game to him,
Berdych hasn’t dropped a set yet so it’s hard to see what he would be like going into a fourth set mentally or physically.

Just remember Stan is the defending champion, he has cruised into the semi’s, the way he beat nishikori was very impressive, if he serves the way he did against nishikori no doubt Djokovic will have to bring his A* game
I’ve been watching a lot of the Australian open, and Stan has played very well. Novak has also been playing well. It’s a hard one to call, but I think it could go to 5 sets mainly due to the quality of the two players and the fact Stan is the defending champion.
