IT was two tips and two winners on Friday and it would be great if it was like that every night.

The evens Super Single I posted after teams were revealed at Derby v Leicester was both to score and thanks to Darren Bent it landed inside 23 minutes.

My 5-2 Top Treble was Aberdeen, Marseille and over 2.5 goals at Top Oss v VVV Venlo.

Jordan also put up two winners out of two but Greg will need to go back to betting school after two losers on French Ligue 2. He wants me to ban WDW tips from him and I can see why!

My advice for Saturday and Sunday regarding the FA Cup is the same as before – see teams then make a decision. For that reason no ties are featured on my top tips but I will cover some games in my English preview. That and the Scottish preview will go live at midnight with most of my top tips reasoned on those posts.

I'll be at a game tomorrow so won't be around to advice on line-ups but keep an eye on the comments and please inform everyone if you see anything that's vital.

Here are the top tips and remember you don't need to do them all.

Remember to check out WeLoveBetting for their tips and video chat and they're the go-to site for Africa Cup of Nations tips.

Last night’s game went pretty much to plan, and it was great to see everyone on the site getting winners on the board in the A-League. Cracking night overall, with Jordan and Mr F nailing well… everything!

Central Coast Mariners v Perth Glory:
For the first Saturday game we have the Mariners hosting Perth Glory, in what is expected by most to be a straightforward Glory win. Glory’s away form is pretty poor, with only a single win on the road in 8 attempts, however their opponents are horrible this year, with only a single win at home. Mariners are missing frontman O’Donovan, as well as Tavares, Faty and Adelson today, leaving gaps in both attack and defense.

Perth enter this game with an almost full squad, with attacker Harold returning, and Williams coming back in defense. Griffiths is out through suspension, but with Castro, Taggart and Keogh, the Mariners should be concerned. Glory all the way.

Brisbane Roar v Western Sydney Wanderers:
Two teams in mixed form, although both are coming off decent wins last round. Roar have Broich and Holman confirmed as returning for this game, in what is a big boost for the side. Roar have had little trouble with goals.. but their defense is questionable. Jamie Maclaren continues to remain out of favour, being left on the bench, and brought in late into games. When he does come on, he proves a threat however.

Wanderers have played a series of low scoring games recently, showing an improvement in defense, although the suspension of Borda won’t help them in that regard today.

This should be a tight game, possibly even decided by a penalty. Maclaren is the most likely, and is also on penalty duties… assuming he’s on the pitch!

    Tips:
    Perth Glory win @ 1.90 (2PT)
    Jamie Maclaren (atgs) @ 2.05 (2PT)

Looking for some bets for oz in the morning, btts/over 2.5 as a single doesn’t hold much value as Jordan pointed out, but something has caught my eye without delving too deep. Liverpool over 7.5 team corners 5/6 skybet/bet 365.
Liverpool are one of the sides I have on my list that get a high no of corners, and Tomoro I’m expecting plenty of possession and plenty of efforts at goal, which leads to plenty of corners usually. League matches against much better opposition they cover this line more often than not and I’m happy to take them as a single on it Tomoro in the early kick off

    Morning gents,

Been a superb day for the site by the looks of things starting off with winners galore in Oz this morning – Mr F, good to see the SS’s win!

I picked out 3 games this evening: the Welsh fancy won at evens whilst the T&T game saw a 4/5 loser and a 10/11 winner.

The Copa Libertadores selection proved a cracker with a full house: 4/5, 6/5 and a 22/1 btts both halves kicker!

Well done all winners – also noticed the last few weeks, numbers of posts on the main thread are knocking 150-200 most days…whichever way you look at that, it’s got to be good news for the site.

Posted my main selections for Saturday during the week and no reason to change either:

    AFC FYLDE VS. ALTRINCHAM
    DARLO VS. ‘NASH

    OVER 1.5 TGS DOUBLE…0.87/1
    ?????

    OVER 2.5 MGS DOUBLE…1.2/1
    ????

Also worth mentioning Bury’s game against Walsall briefly – they have the tightest away record in the Division whilst we have the worst home record…based on our last two games, that could differ!

I believe Pennant and Mayor are fit to play and with Vaughan cooking on gas up top – we can’t be written off.

I’m keeping stakes low here and my Vaughan brace winner at 17/2 last week is cut right back to 5/1.

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…21/20
    ??

    VAUGHAN ATGS…11/10
    ?

    VAUGHAN BRACE…5/1
    ?

    Best of luck ?

    Gosport v Maidenhead

It was another profitable night backing goals during the week as Gosport were hammered yet again, this time 5-1 against mid table East Thurrock

To cut a long story short, Gopsort are in free fall, they have serious issues on and off the pitch, the manger has left, key players refused to play and have walked out and the are almost certain for relegation now! Their transfer embargo has been lifted so they habe managed to bring in some new bodies but the questions can asked of the quality of them
    Given recent results

Since I become aware of their predicament and started backing against them they have lost their last 3 ( lost 6 in a row now)

    7-0
    1-4
    1-5

The last thing thing they want is to be playing the team top of the league! Morale and confidance at the club must be rock bottom after all that has gone on! Couldn’t believe my eyes but Bet365 are offering full Markets for this game

I see no reason why we won’t see another high scoring defeat for Gosport, providing Maidenhead approach this the right way

With full makets on offer I’m focus on match goals and Maidenhead team goals

  21. HullShaker 7 years ago

One that’s maybe worth a look although I don’t expect a repeat of the earlier CL game!

DEPORTIVO TÁCHIRA VS. DEPORTIVO CAPIATÁ (00.45 KO):

Tachira need to score after the Venezuelan side went down 1-0 to Capiata in Paraguay but as they attack, they will be open to the counter and I can well see both teams netting here at a fair price.

As Greg pointed my attetion in midweek i am onboard with him and Gosport Borough

Maidenhead United are currently top of the league and won 3-0 earlier in the season. There is a difference of 70 goals between them. I will be surprised than it is anything less than 3-0 today.

My second selection also comes from the National League but this time from the North. High flying league leaders AFC Fylde entertain bottom side Altrincham. Altrincham have only picked up 9pts from 26 matches and there is a total of 80 goals difference between the two sides. Fylde won this 6-0 earlier in the season. AFC Fylde have struggled in recent games but are still hitting the net. I expect a good few goals from the hosts today.

    AFC Fylde O2.5

    • fraser51 7 years ago

      Motherwell v Rangers – BTTS + O2.5

      21/20 – 2pts

Motherwell are more than capable on their own patch, have scored 3 against Celtic at home and will be out for revenge after the way they lost to Rangers in the cup last week.
Rangers are always worth a goal but away form has been dodgy this season and are not reliable at the back
Should be a good few goals in this one.

2 trixies last night and 2 out of 3 in both which returned a slight profit of £10. Don’t like to go on about this system but it’s the beauty of it 2 picks win and you’re at least even, 3 and a very nice win. Lots of stats with today’s games which I won’t bore you with but my btts and over 2.5 pick today is

    Rotherham
    Palace
    Heracles

£40 trixie returns well over £200 my last 4 picks are 1 win and 3 draws (that’s 2 out of 3 picks i class as a draw)

My returns this month are £500 profit or 50 points depending on what system you prefer. Good luck

Evening bet yesterday lost – 1 goal short in Gibraltar. Today I’m focussing on a team I know pretty well, Inverness:

The Caley Thistle defence hasn’t been great at the best of times this season and now it appears centre back Josh Meekings is out injured as well. Ross Draper previously provided some defensive cover from midfield but he is also out. A makeshift back 4 doesnt bode well for a clean sheet against Partick today, who have scored in 3 out of their last 4 aways (County, Hearts, Hamilton – the exception being Celtic). However, ICT are fighting for their lives and do have attacking options. They have scored in 4/5 last Premiership games and BTTS has occurred in 5/5 homes. Richie Foran has put the pressure on by calling this a ‘must win’ – it’s not quite that, but Caley certainly need to put a couple of wins together soon and I think they’ll be fired up for this one.

    Recommended Bets:

    BTTS @ 4/5
ICT to score in the 2nd half @ 8/11
    BTTS and Over 2.5 mgls @ 13/10

    Small stakes punts:
    BTTS FH @ 4/1
    BTTS Both Halves @ 16/1

    Treble pays 5/4:
    Rotherham 2.0 GL
    Montrose 2.0 GL
    Kilmarnock NCS

    • liamw 7 years ago

    MANSFIELD 4/5.
Summary: MANSFIELD are back to full strength after their midweek defeat in cup against Wycombe. Evans has recruited well since turn of year and this has been emphasised in recent results, their latest against a play off pushing Cambridge. Orient are in a sorry state, losing important players and replacing them with youth. Their form has truly nosedived, losing last 3, conceding 9 in the process! Evans will fully expect 3 pts today, to aid play off ambitions. Think the Stags will prove too strong for the o’s today!

Not been on here for ages, increased my bank quite a bit with 3 small stake long shot accas coming in but not had many winners the last couple of weeks

    Main bet today
    Chelsea -1
    Spurs -1
Double pays 5/4 (placed earlier in the week when both were 1/2, Spurs now 4/11 on 365)

    Long shot aways
    Barnsley
    Bradford
    Doncaster
    Dundee Utd
Permed any 3 and all 4, minimum treble pays just under 10/1 and the acca pays 26/1 (plus all the trebles)

    Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich

Bremen have played 9 games at home so far this season and have scored in every game with an average of 1.3 goals per game. Yes this will probably be their toughest game to date but Bayern have played 8 games away and have conceded in 5 of them.

    Werder Bremen to score 10/11

    Btts 10/11

    Bayern and btts 13/8

    Southampton v Arsenal

Going for an Arsenal win @ 23/20 as im going on the lines that they will be a far fresher team than the Saints who put everything into reaching the EFL Cup final during the week and it will be a tough ask to do it again here today.

    Arsenal to win 23/20

    Good luck today

    • nate pesh 7 years ago

So Bremen to score is 10/11 and BTTS is 10/11 too? Why would u back BTTS then? Or are the odds wrong

    Good Evening guys

    Southampton vs Arsenal
Southampton have already reached Wembley via the League Cup but they may fall short in their bid for a cup double this season. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have scored more than once in ten of their last 14 matches in all competitions and have the squad to be able to fight on multiple fronts.
Bet To Consider – Arsenal to Win ***

    Bayer Leverkusen vs Borrusia Mgladbach
Monchengladbach have collected only two points from eight away games
Bayer Leverkusen advertised their top-four credentials with a comfortable 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin last weekend and they look a good bet to climb further up the Bundesliga against Monchengladbach. Gladbach won August’s reverse fixture 2-1 but the Foals were thumped 5-0 on their last visit to the BayArena and have yet to record a win on their travels in the Bundesliga this term.
Bet To Consider – Bayer Leverkusen ***

    Inter milan vs Pescara
Inter have won their last six Serie A outings so are understandably a short price to enter seventh heaven against rock-bottom Pescara. The Nerazzurri have been either level or behind at the break in five of those victories before exerting their dominance in the second half and backing a similar outcome at the San Siro looks the value bet.
Bet To Consider – Inter Win ***
Bet To Consider – Draw – Inter Double Result **

LIVERPOOL: Karius, Randall, Gomez, Klavan, Moreno, Lucas, Ejaria, Wijnaldum, Woodburn, Firmino, Origi. SUBS; Mignolet, Milner, Stewart, Can, Wilson, Coutinho, Sturridge.

WOLVES: Burgoyne, Coady, Stearman, Hause, Doherty, Evans, Saville, Costa, Edwards, Weimann, Dicko. SUBS: Lonergan, Batth, Enobakhare, Ronan, Gibbs-White, Bodvarsson, Mason.

As predicted many changes for Liverpool, couple of changes for Wolves, whilst Evans and Saville aren’t the ideal picks they did the business away at Stoke.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I’m doing very little on the Cup. Wolves won’t fear that team but Klopp has players on the bench who can rescue it if needed.

  52. leroy 7 years ago

Morning everyone! Last night saw Almere score a second with the last kick of the game to bring in the 6/5 double. The win was very much welcome after a couple of losers in midweek. It was during midweek that I wondered how short Fylde goals would be priced at home to leaky Altrincham this weekend. The answer? Extremely so. However, they aren’t as short as Maidenhead, who visit a Gosport side whose troubles have been well documented on the site by Greg and others.

Most of the guys and girls on here will likely be on these two sides in one way or another so I’ll save the write up. However, at a short price, I can’t resist including a Preston side who are consistently scoring to notch one at home to FA Cup shock victims Ipswich. Hopefully they will get the job done and reduce the expectation on Fylde and Maidenhead to go wild!

    AFC Fylde O1.5 Team Goals
    Maidenhead United O1.5 Team Goals
    Preston to Score

    Treble @ 4/5 (Bet365)
    ______________________________

My next punt comes from the same depths of the English football pyramid and contains another regular in my shortlist. Darlington host Curzon Ashton following their 3-3 draw at Stockport last time out. Hull has documented regularly how Darlington score but concede and I fancy that to continue today at a very fair price. Curzon know where the goal is. They have netted 21 in 13 away games and should fancy their chances of scoring at a Darlington side who have kept just two home clean sheets all season. Curzon ought to be buoyed after beating table toppers Fylde 3-2 and that result indicates that goals could be on the cards again today.

    Darlington vs Curzon Ashton BTTS & O2.5 Match Goals @ 4/5 (Bet365)
    _______________________________

Lastly, I fancy a couple of games to see both sides netting.

    Dover v Chester
    Harlow Town v Worthing

BTTS Double @ 27/20 (Stan James)
    _______________________________

All over Walsall for a super single. 7/4 @ William hill. On a pretty decent Run beating Bristol rovers and sheff united and I can see that run continuing today. Bury have not convinced despite a recent recovery. Bury have certainly lived up to their shakers nickname this season, shipping almost 2 goals per league games.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

How very dare you Mr Boofle ?

Saw a great stat the other day based on our ability o keep a clean sheet at home…think it was 8% ?

  56. bartley 7 years ago

Cardiff BTTS only failed to score 2 in the last 21 games against Reading
unbeaten in 7 at the Madjeski
Dont think they will win today but should get on the scoresheet, probably with a set piece.
Peter Whittingham is on form again and takes freekicks and penalties. He has been ivolved in 32%
of Cardiff goals and is available at 5/1 anytime.
Double that up with Wagner for 25/1.
That should hold my interest for the afternoon games

Our Welsh correspondent Elvis Parsley has been flagging this one all week so hope he doesn’t mind me adding a bit of flesh to the game and prices now they’re up!

    **note the earlier KO time**

ABERYSTWYTH TOWN VS. PRESTATYN TOWN (01.30 KO):

So, why does this one stand out for both Parsley and myself?

    In a word…Prestatyn.

Top spot in Div 1; Played 20; G/D +69; PTS 56 and scoring for fun – check these match goal totals out for the season’s games so far…unreal:

    8-12-6-7-5-3-3-2-4-12-5-2-5-2-8-2-7-3-8-1-4-5-7-8.

Today they take their travels to Aberystwyth, a town I know well – my Aunty Pauline ran off with a gypsy from a travelling fair in Manchester in the 60’s (true story) and they settled in Aberystwyth – one of their sons (my cousin) Sean played for Aber in between his spells in and out of prison and I spent a fair bit of time their in my teens (Aberystwyth not prison)

Sadly Aunty Pauline died a few months back so I’ll likely not be visiting again but I digress!

Aberystwyth’s form is poor, 1 win in 5 has seen them slip towards the foot of the table andwithout trotting more goal sats out, their games rarely finish 0-0!

Just the one selection for me:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…5/4

Posted approximately the same time last week:
Liverpool v Wolves, Sat 28th, FA Cup 4th Round, BT Sport
Wolves travel to Anfield in good spirits. An upturn in form in the league (with the exception of Saturday) and a recent win at Stoke in the previous round means they can go to Anfield with no fear and being roared on by 8,300 Wolves fans who will be sure to make some noise to get behind their lads.
Liverpool needed a replay to see off Plymouth which represented their only win of 2017. A shocking result at the weekend at home to Swansea will leave the Anfield crowd demanding more from their cup games.
Liverpool have a semi-final on Wednesday against Southampton so their focus will be the on this game as they try to overturn a 1-0 defeat from the first leg. The potential is there for extra-time and penalties which will only add to the headache for the Wolves game.
I would presume Klopp will go with a strong eleven for the Saints game which would presumably entail several changes for the Wolves clash.
Already the alarm bells are ringing. All of this week Wolves will be focused for the big Anfield clash as Klopp’s boys have their focus elsewhere.
The odds of 12/1 for Wolves to prevail over a Liverpool reserve team sounds massive. Whatever team Klopp goes with on Saturday Wolves will compete and they will scare Liverpool with the pace of Costa and Cavaleiro on the counter attack. Get on early as I feel Wolves odds will creep down as the week goes on. Particularly if Liverpool encounter a long night on Wednesday.
    Tips:
Wolves to win, 12/1 ***WIN*** :)
    Various
    Wolves over 1.5TG, 6/1 ***WIN*** :)
    Bet 365
    ***Split stake between the two***

***Full house. Not going to lie that last five mins was tense but up until the 85th minute we looked very comfortable with the organisation of our back four and the three midfielders who protected them. I knew if Lambert set up like that and hit Liverpool on the counter we’d give them a game. As it was it was Liverpool’s shambolic defence that gave us the opener (offside? maybe) and Costa should have scored the second before Weimann obliged in a similar fashion on the break.***

Well done @hullshaker (was on all of yours today, cracking picks), @leroy, and Mr F was on your Scottish BTTS as usual. And well done to all the other winners.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Cheers Liam, plenty of winners all round by the looks of things – ironically and just to put a fly in the ointment, my most fancied bet was a Darlo goals short after Fylde kept their side of the ‘Team Goal’ bargian…not grumbling mind ?

    • liamw 7 years ago

Aye saw that – I thought with it being Darlo they might nick another at the death! Still, the others more than made up for it.

  108. nate pesh 7 years ago

    I’m on another goalscorer today

    Scunnthorpe vs Port Vale

    Morris AGS 6/5 ✅
    Morris FGS 4/1❎
    Morris 2+ goals 6/1❎

Scunnthorpe have scored 30 home goals in 13 games while PV have conceded 22 away goals in 12 games scoring just 6!! This gives me more confidence in the FGS 4/1 price

  109. liamw 7 years ago

mr f , how about a seperate thread for hullshaker [if he wanted that is] his record speaks for itself, then its easier for peeps to get on his bets as his posts range from early morn to late at night.
    just a thought

    • jim burnside 7 years ago

I totally agree with this as most regulars here have probably all caught into how good he is.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I’ve said it before we can’t give everyone a thread although admin are looking into something about that just now.
HullShaker is one of the best tipsters around and we value his contributions as he knows.
Does it matter whether they’re up on a post or as a comment?

    • gg1a 7 years ago

yes, as he constantly puts up posts, it would be easier to find them , its not about stature , but he seems to have the time to study that others dont and hes becoming the one guy people look for, every day at least 4 posts , with a good success rate and then i would argue , why give other guys threads when they dont contribute every day and with less success !!
and that prob due to work commitments

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

No pressure on anyone to contribute every day except maybe me – no one shouldn’t post tips for the sake of it.
It’s easy to find HullShaker’s tips and I tell you one thing if we put his name up in lights it would add pressure to him and he’s maybe better without it.
Anyway there will be no new posters as such but as I said admin looking at something.

Sounds like a great game today hull my man. Bury games always seem to be full of excitement. I also think that you should have your own thread. Well deserved and you are a very witty man

  137. jim burnside 7 years ago

Gambling is BIG buisness now in football.i think it’s about time teams were made announce team selection at least fr 10 am morning of game if not earlier.punters are getting taken from a hike in cup games especially when the team u think it betting on turns out to be a completely different team with same name and never anywhere near as good as the first team.

    • maccathered 7 years ago

If they did that mate opposition teams could work out tactics etc etc and that why team are only given an hour.

    • hudson 7 years ago

Or you could wait till the teams are announced before putting your bet on ? Just sayin…..

    • -wato- 7 years ago

Jim we all know the cup games nowadays are a distraction for all teams who are just desperation to either win the Premiership, remain in it or get promotion. It’s where all the money is. Sadly for me anyway the FA Cup is not the competition it used to be. I’m sure the likes of Newcastle or Brighton are not in the least bit disappoint in getting knocked out today. Anyone betting on a team to win in cup competitions unless it’s clear both “want to win” is crazy. Naming teams hours before the game will not change anything it would just confirm the news we all know about an hour before kick off.

  138. jim burnside 7 years ago

Sadly your right wato there’s more teams wanting knocked out of cups than do want to win them nowadays
The funny thing is some of these teams will never have chance of anything bar a winning cup run.

    • -wato- 7 years ago

Yeah there are teams that won’t win the league and won’t be relegated but they still don’t even go full strength. Every sub keeper gets a game and always 7+ outfield changes too. FA Cup weekends and especially the final used to be big days and occasions again sadly that’s gone too. There’s no money in it compared to the Premiership and Champions League and making the final a 5.30pm kick off a while back was also a joke too. Gone are the days of getting up in the morning watching your team getting to Wembley on the coach. Now it’s an unwanted distraction and should be avoided betting wise (unless you go with goals of course)

      Rant Over! lol

    • al1903 7 years ago

They need to add the rule they use in the EFL Trophy, think it’s 5 or 6 players that started the previous league match must start?

Or take the 4th place champions league slot and give it to the FA Cup winner, or a play off between 4th place and cup winner for the slot

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Some of today’s team selections were shocking but not surprising.
I backed Liverpool and Oxford small stakes after seeing line-ups but wasn’t about to advise.
Also took Arsenal when I saw Southampton – hardly recognised any of their players.
What teams like Liverpool and Newcastle do is ask their fans if they should field strong teams in cups and I know what the answer would be.
Also players have to learn they can play 2 games a week – most fans work 5 or 6 days.

    • al1903 7 years ago

Missed the start of the Southampton game, got home at 0-0 and after seeing the line ups thought Arsenal would win easily. Signed into skybet and put Arsenal in the betslip at evens, clicked place bet and before the bet had been accepted Arsenal had scored!

    • jim burnside 7 years ago

100%mr f 2 games a week for a pro footballer should be toffee
Messi is great example loves to play hates being tested and hates getting beat.liverpool Newcastle Southampton all seem happy to be beat today.definetly the wrong mentality.better than that it could all turn sour very quickly fr guys like klop he,s only as good as what he wins already he,s very little left.and IV no doubt Liverpool are on a major wobble and soon so will he.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Of them all Klopp needed a win – locals will be grumbling at 3 home defeats in a week.
He’ll be happy to see Senegal knocked out of AFCON. What a miss Sadio Mane’s been.

    Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich

Bremen have played 9 games at home so far this season and have scored in every game with an average of 1.3 goals per game. Yes this will probably be their toughest game to date but Bayern have played 8 games away and have conceded in 5 of them.

Werder Bremen to score 10/11 WON !!

Btts 10/11 WON !! (but as a illy bet that worked out)

    Bayern and btts 13/8 WON!!

    Southampton v Arsenal

Going for an Arsenal win @ 23/20 as im going on the lines that they will be a far fresher team than the Saints who put everything into reaching the EFL Cup final during the week and it will be a tough ask to do it again here today.

    Arsenal to win 23/20 WON!!

Think will call this a loser & rank at top of a sh1te pile of in play bets.

Did say last night was knocking them on head so maybe should take ma own advice……

i know what you mean, stopped taking my phone to work as to easy to have that extra bet,got to train your mind to ignore the urge&think why bet inplay if you hadnt chosen them teams before hand when you placed your pre-match bets, its more greed really&once yourve had your bets win or lose just call it day but yeah its hard?

    • dc john boy 7 years ago

      Good advice Webber….cheers

    • -wato- 7 years ago

@dc-john-boy what @webber says is probably the main thing I have learned since I landed on here mate. Everyone will have been guilty at some point in their betting life of chasing the previous losing bet more likely on the next game kicking off or next live match. Sometimes it works and you think “phew” but more often than not it won’t and you end up feeling worse. Losing a bet can be frustrating and very for some but if you have backed something you really fancied to begin with but doesn’t win to me that’s better than backing something with little or no reasoning behind it. I generally look at the games at least 24 hours beforehand as I feel trying to back something on the day feels a little rushed and always have ended up with more losers than winners. While your bet is playing out that day focus on the next as obviously everything else you looked at for the day didn’t appeal so nothing suddenly should suddenly turn up. Having some of a plan towards it I believe helps make it a little more enjoyable and much much easier to keep track of bets etc if you are trying to be any way serious about betting.

    • -wato- 7 years ago

Hope that didn’t come across as preaching there mate just wanted to share my experience.

    • dc john boy 7 years ago

It came across as excellent advice & it’s something I need to learn masel to do. Much appreciate you taking the time @wato to educate me. I will try this. I am not too bad at picking out my bets & spend previous night researching but don’t usually confirm bets until lunch time next day but I guilty of in plays & chasing losses etc. Been worse this month as been losing more often. Thanks again wato. Time for a change

    • -wato- 7 years ago

@dc-john-boy yes I have noticed your bets recently and you do find some excellent winners. It’s good to look at the games the night before and think about it into the next day that’s a good approach. They may lose but that’s a million times better than backing something 5 mins beforehand inplay etc. Good luck with it mate it’s far from easy but you will feel better for resisting the urge. Also having a day or two of no bets if you don’t really fancy anything is never a bad thing either in fact I think it helps.

im guilty of it but slowly learning like you say,you do go phew i got away with that but its true you lose more than you win unless very lucky, now i look at other peoples tips,ie last nite i bet inplay club sando to win 2nd half purely on Hullshakers take on what he thought of the game before hand, but yeah it can still be hard, betting isnt paved in gold&its like a sweet shop now with so many options its just not getting yourself carried away

    • -wato- 7 years ago

Yeah loads of options and we can all bet on our phones anywhere which again is so easy and very dangerous for some. I definitely think having some sort of strategy to it helps a lot. It may not bring you bit profit or even profit full stop but will certainly minimise the losses.

  144. HullShaker 7 years ago

Two games I like the look of tonight in SA – the second is the Cartagines game in Costa Rica whilst the first sees the opening game in Venezuela’s Primera Division…

DEPORTIVO LA GUAIRA VS. ATLÉTICO SOCOPÓ (21.00 KO):

DLG (actual name Real Espor) are usually up in the higher end of the table giving a decent account of themselves and finished 5th (I think) in the last campaign.

Goals-wise, they see a few and concede a few with 3 of the last 5 during the run-in going Over 2.5.

Socopo are amongst the new boys in the top flight and were promoted via their runners up spot in 2016.

They certainly knew how to find the back of the net last season and 10 of their last 13 saw 3 or more match goals.

Some things in football are universal and every promoted team wants to give a great account of themselves usually giving way to a pretty open game of football…I sense this will be just that with a few goals thrown in and they are a fair price!

    OVER 2.5 MGS…6/5
    ??

    Good luck ?

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      * I only mention their real name as many bookies will list Real Espor and not DLG ?

    Spanish La Liga

Leganes v Celta Vigo. I fancy goals in this game and Celta to bag at least 1

Celta Vigo to score 1 or more goals – 4/9
    £30 returns £44
    *WON*

Celta Vigo to score 2 or more goals – 5/2
    £10 returns £35
    *WON*

    BTTS – Evens
    £10 returns £20
    *LOST*

2 out of 3 I’ll take that, would have been the full house if that early Leganes goal had not been disallowed

“I’m on Scott Aylott’s Euro treble (9/4 coral) and Euro BTTS treble (9/2 coral)
Also a combo of MrF’s BTTS picks
Yeovil, Bury and Annan (10/3 coral)” – nothing doing. (Scott was unlucky with W’burg unexpectedly letting down one treb and an Ostend goal short in the other. Only Yeovil let down the third treb)

Espanyol v Sevilla looks like a game tomorrow which will be good for goals & also Iborra ags 15/4 is a good price for a player in scoring form

Cheers for the comments folks – the positive praise is appreciated but comes a distant second to being able to contribute on such a diverse (and very succesful) forum…long may that continue!

I mentioned briefly the Costa Rican fancy earlier but its going to be a low stakes effort and I’ve not the time to post a load of flim-flam although it certainly has a chance!

    ALAJUELENSE VS. CARTAGINÉS (23.45 KO):

Alajuelense sit rock-bottom after 5 games but they will hit back at some point.

As ever, goals the way here and Cartagines have been knocking them in with 3-3-7-4-4-5 MGS in their last 6.

    1 selection for me:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…20/23
    ??

PS…watching MOTD and can’t help noticing that Danny Murphy appears to be turning into some kind of depressed, crack addict James Bond villain.

Not like Trev Sinclair, who looks great and a proper gent – Bury lad and played for Unsworth on the Hillock Estate…one of my first teams as a kid.

    Good luck ?
