I HUMMED and hawed all night about whether to back the Barcelona/Man United double and finally took the plunge.

Both sides fielded strong line-ups but while Barcelona blew away Real Sociedad 5-2 United never turned up.

Jose Mourinho's men scraped into the EFL Cup Final despite losing 2-1 to Hull who put up a brave fight.

The loss leaves my Super Single tally in trouble while the accumulators show a decent profit. It should be the other way about but with five days remaining in the month I'll be looking to improve the former.

Well done again Jordan for his winner last night while Greg was also beaten by Man United.

Tonight Derby face Leicester in the FA Cup and there could be a shock depending once again on line-ups.

Derby are pushing for a Championship play-off spot and the Premier League champions trying to avoid being dragged into a drop fight to it's clear to see where priorities lie.

I said I'd consider a tip after teams were revealed and with both naming strong line-ups I'm taking btts at evens as a Super Single.

Darren Bent has netted in all four of his FA Cup games for Derby and is 6-1 at bet365 to score first.

In Scotland it's Aberdeen v Dundee and I've posted a separate preview backing up my belief the Dons will win.

Elsewhere there are games across Europe including Schalke v Eintracht and Marseille v Montpellier and don't forget the lower-league French and Dutch games.

That means a return to action for our old pals Top Oss who are at home to leaders VVV Venlo. Over 3.5 goals is likely at just over evens.

For a Top Treble I'm taking Aberdeen and adding Marseille. They've suffered back-to-back defeats against Lyon and Monaco but before that were on a good run. Montpellier's away form is dire – just four points this season and no wins.

At home Marseille are decent having won six and lost jut one in 10. Home advantage should see them through.

And of course I have to complete the treble with over 2.5 goals at Top Oss. We've all made bundles on Oss games with the last eight going over 3.5 and five of them producing more than five goals. VVV top the table but aren't the mos prolific in front of goal – the leaders have actually netted seven fewer than their hosts – but that hasn't seem to mattered in recent Oss matches.

    Australian A League
Newcastle Jets v Melbourne City, 8.50am

Recent matches and H2H’s suggest another A League game full of goals. It’s very difficult to shy away from the fact that this game is going to see BTTS and over 2.5 goals. At 17/20 at Coral this offers the most logical bet without having to call a winner. At the same time there is some real value in backing Newcastle to net two. Like Sydney yesterday they are really overpriced

    Newcastle Jets – Key Facts

    – Newcastle’s games have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in six of the last seven games.
    – Newcastle’s last three at home have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals (2-1, 2-2, 2-2)
    – Newcastle have scored at least twice in six of the last eight games at home to City.

    Melbourne City – Key Facts

    – Melbourne have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in five of their last six games.
    – They have conceded twice in their last two away games to the two lowest placed teams in the table, drawing 2-2 and losing 2-1.

@craigyboy77 saved me the write up. Cheers.

    • Jordan 7 years ago

Our good goal pals Top Oss play today, and although I was skeptical about goals last week, they still pulled through with their 15th BTTS & Over 2.5 game in 16 league matches in a 3-1 defeat at Helmond. If you weren’t backing BTTS & Over 2.5, but backing the opposition to score twice, you would have profited in 17 of their last 19, and that’s what I expect today from promotion chasing Venlo. They’ve won 7 of their 10 away from home this season, throwing up a few goose eggs on the way, but when Oss come to play, goals can’t be shied away.

The second pick is the basement boys from La Liga to score at home to Malaga. It’s not often you can score three goals in your last two home games, and only come out with a point to show. They made Sevilla sweat last Sunday with a reply right after Sevillas 4th, and a 3-3 draw against Valencia prior to that. I’m not one for late goals, but a Greg Browning approach might fancy a goal to be scored after 71:59 @ 5/6 @ 365, which has happened in their last seven home games (six have seen a goal in 90+). The visitors Malaga have hit a bad patch and lost four on the bounce, and have generally been poor away from home this season, only picking up 4 points from 10 games played, with only one clean sheet to show for it. Surprisingly that was against Barca, but I’ll take my chances on an improved Osasuna fighting for their relegation lives to net.

Good luck if you fancy anything.

cheers@jordan im on the late goal?

    • liamw 7 years ago

Fully agree Jordan – had a look at the game last night, and for once it looks like Oss may not manage to score (they’ll probably knock 2 in now!).

Well done on a cracking start to the year, superb consistency.

  12. obi wan cannoli 7 years ago

I see both Jordan & craigieboy have both beaten me to the punch for this game. And I really can’t disagree with either one of them on their calls.

For our Friday game, we have the Newcastle Jets hosting Melbourne City. Jets enter this game in mixed form, however their ability to both score and concede is particularly high. 4 of their last 5 have seen this line cleared. Nordstrand returns today, as does Hoole, who should have an immediate impact in midfield and strengthen Jets passing game and overall attack (something which was clearly lacking without him last game.

City come into this one in a bit better form than their rivals, and this game sees the return of Manny Muscat and Paulo Retre, both key players in the squad.

This should be an open game with goals at both ends.

    Tips:
    Over 3 goals @ 1.95 (4PT)
    Over 4 goals @ 3.55 (1PT)
    Tim Cahill (atgs) @ 2.5 (1PT)
    Andrew Nabbout (atgs) @ 3.25 (1PT)

Ill be on with @craigyboy77 and im sure many others.
Rookie reff in charge today could produce a sea of yellows or indeed nothing much. Im going for the former initially as i like the price but ill be checking the half time stats to see if its worth going in again at half time. One yellow at half time yesterday ended up with a flurry of second half booking points. Free kick count wasnt that high at half time yesterday so didnt go in ?. Common occurence in the A-league.
Reccomend 60 or more booking points at 6/4 skybet.
Again, worth checking half time stats. Ill post again if i get the chance. Good luck with your punting day ?

    Dutch Jupiler League:

    Emmen v Jong PSV

This game will not be on the list of punters who are looking for goals. These teams have an average of 1.14 and 1.43 goals per game. Jong PSV’s away record is terrible this season. They only scored 5 goals away from home all season, all 5 coming in the first 4 away games. They haven’t scored in the last 6 away from home and haven’t scored in their last 4 games. They play a Emmen side who only conceded just 22 goals in 21 games. 6 of these were conceded at home in 4 games, keeping 6 clean sheets in 10 home games.

With Emmen conceding 0.60 goals at home and Jong PSV scoring 0.50 goals away from home I will take Jong PSV under 1.0 goals. If PSV only score 1 we will get a refund and if they score 2 I will be running naked through the streets of Glasgow tomorrow night.

Under 1.0 goals for Jong PSV @ 1.94 with marathon

i listened to @jordans advise rather than stick my head in the sand&its paying dividends,im cool with being pointed in the right direction, your one of the many consistent tipsters, thanks?

    • hudmystar 7 years ago

What advice was that Webber can you share I’m always looking to learn even more or if @jordan can pass on I’d appreciate

    • Jordan 7 years ago

Most of the advice I give is worth taking note. Some think it comes with an ego but I’m just generally trying to point people in the right direction, and the ones that listen, like webber, come out on top. Another man worth watching is @wato who like me, doesn’t post random multiple punts throughout the day and is 100% transparent with profit made. I learned through Mr F, Greg. Damo and another guy who no longer posts here.

      Quality, not quantity ?

    • hudmystar 7 years ago

I’m happy to be pointed in the right direction and advice is always appreciated. I’m a novice still after 2 years of betting love football just need to pick one bet a day I’m guessing

    • hudmystar 7 years ago

@jordan I’m sure your busy like the rest of us I’d be happy to receive any advice via email or here. But do not worry if it’s a no go. Don’t ask don’t get ?

    • Jordan 7 years ago

More than welcome for you to take my email but my advice is more or less shown on here. Back your best bet(s) of the day, one or two bets maximum usually for me. If they lose, look to tomorrow, and if you don’t like anything on the card, don’t bet. Takes discipline which most punters don’t have but it’s very easy once you’re used to it. If a bet of mine loses I’m still smiling at the end of the day.

    • Jordan 7 years ago

Remember though that one or two bets doesn’t mean backing six selections in one bet. More selections, more risk.

the advice he gave me was rather than just random betting do some bets from the regulars who win more than they lose ie mr fixit, hullshaker, craneguy, greg browning&jordan himself, last saturday they all posted winners so inturn i won,i dont always follow just one person i look at their reasonings etc ie like liamw, last night, craigboy today etc,im enjoying betting again but still use level stakes as i know on the day we need the rub of the green but they do all the hard work researching i just decide whether to place bet or not?

    • hudmystar 7 years ago

Sounds crazy but Ive been trying to just follow one tipster a day on the basis of the bet I like the most but lost seven in a row if I picked Jordan one day Greg the next mr f and so on. I kept hitting losers lol whilst just doing 10 percent of betting bank per bet. I know that’s sounds daft but true. I just keep thinking I’m missing a trick. I’ll keep doing that over the next week see where it gets me. Again appreciate the time to reply thanks guys

    • liamw 7 years ago

@hudmystar I pretty much follow the same method as @webber – usually a few bets a day but following those folks who are most consistent – Greg, Jordan, Hull, Mr O, Mr F – plus a couple of my own at lower stakes. Jordan makes a good point on limiting the number of bets but there is also value in following the best tipsters best bet each day in my book as it spreads the risk. Of course that changes if the tips are using the same games….and they might all lose but that’s rare for these guys and I think it’s cancelled out by those times that they all win! Level stakes is vital though.

  24. nathanufton 7 years ago

    Morning everyone.

Derby v Leicester in the FA cup.

@mr-fixit you’re spot on with ” which team has what eye on what priority “. Derby are teetering on the edge of the top 6 and Leicester are not performing to anywhere near what we saw from them last season, they’re now in the wrong half of the table and for both sides, this 4th round FA cup tie is a rude interruption. Neither team wants to have this distraction since both teams have domestic agendas that come way ahead of a tournament that neither side are going to win and the added problem of cluttering up the season close. I know it’s only a few extra games, but Derby’s season run-ins this past 3 seasons have hit the wall from February and Leicester need to consolidate their position in the premiership.

There is one crumb of comfort for the neutrals though. Derby v Leicester is third on the list of football rivalries behind Notts Forest and Leeds. We already know that neither team will want a draw – it means an extra game, so both managers will want this game put to bed. Historically, even without looking at the stats, Derby have a very bad record against the Foxes. They almost always get the better of us, but this game is a ” local Derby “. There’s no love lost between either side, purely for the fans ( bragging rights ) neither side will want to lose this.
Derby have not been playing that well and we’ve kinda bundled our way through the last 6 weeks staying within reach of the top 3 and Leicester’s form is marginally worse coming into this game.

We’re all critics in football, and we’re all football managers and IF I was Steve McClaren, I’d be saying ” home advantage, quite a solid home form ( goals conceded being low ), their our rivals, they’re the reigning premiership champions and Leicester’s form means that there’s no better time to play them. ” A win would put us in the next round which I’m not a fan of, BUT its a local Derby. Both teams will want to get one over on each other.

Whilst I don’t know much about Leicester, I do know Derby. Our first choice right-back Christie is back – we’ve missed his attack down the right side and we also know that Olsson – Derby’s left sided defender is just about match fit ( our 2nd choice in that position ). Ince and Bent are getting the goals – more from Ince than Bent and Will Hughes seems to of upped his game a little since signing a new contract.
We’ve sold Lee Grant to Stoke, Weimann has gone out on loan – as has Hanson. Derby are chasing a right sided winger from St Mirren. I guess they’re covering their bases if Russell’s admirers up their offer. Russell has been a bit hit n miss this season, so I’d like a player there with more consistency.

Again, without looking at stats, I do think Derby will score. If you believe recent Derby stats, we are likely to keep it clean at the back, however, it is Leicester. I begrudgingly suspect both teams to score. Leicester do have the team to beat us, they have the history to beat us, but I think they’ll be coming to Pride Park expecting it to be all Leicester. I believe they’ll underestimate us too.

Whilst I am tempted with the 19/10 on offer with bet365 for the Derby win, I think there is way more value in the cards market. The bookies have this down as a low card match. IDIOTS. Two teams that don’t like each other – over 2.5 match cards at 4/5 with bet365.

Win or lose, we don’t want a draw. Get this game out the way and let us move on. If we get bragging rights, great, if we don’t it’s not going to hurt like losing to them in the league and we free up our fixture list.

This should be a midfield battle and I expect the cards bet to sail in.

    • cockerspaniel 7 years ago

Yea i fancy the over 2.5 cards as well.

    Morning gents,

Bit of a stale card this evening for me.

One Welsh Div 1 game I fancied for goals but not going to bother with a write-up as the last three have been postponed and I assume the same for tonight.

Warmer climes beckon at 22.00 though as Club Sando host Point Fortin in the Trinidad & Tobago League…don’t think this one’ll have a frozen pitch.

I’ve written a lot about PF and their weakness and they meet a Sando side who have found a decent run of form.

Prices will be tight for goals and h/caps may be the way here – will look at prices early evening.

European Friendlies have been a rich hunting ground this last week and picked out one that may be worth a look this morning – low stakes on these as ever.

ZLÍN VS. GÓRNIK ZABRZE (11.30 KO):

    OVER 1.5 FHGS…6/5
    ?

    OVER 3.5 MGS…21/20

Best of luck with all bets ?

People will likely jump on BTTS & Over 2.5 @ a poor 8/11 when Perth play the Mariners tomorrow, but be warned, Irishman Roy O’Donovan will miss out due to suspension and has 4 of their last 7 goals. While they could still score I’d be inclined to leave it and instead I’m taking Perth RT2 (Race To 2 Goals). Perth have scored 2+ in 4 of their last 5 while the Mariners have conceded 2+ in 7 of their last 8. Perth don’t have a great scoring record in Gosford, but O’Donovan will be missed by the home side.

Advised last week (odds have decreased):

    Liverpool v Wolves
FA Cup, Tomorrow, BT Sport, 12.30pm

After I posted after Liverpool’s defeat at home to Swansea about Wolves having a right good chance at Anfield we sit here the day before the game with Liverpool knocked out of the League Cup on Wednesday with (apart from one or two) a full strength side. With Chelsea on Tuesday, Klopp simply cannot afford to put out a similar side tomorrow. Many changes expected. No doubt Anfield will be a little subdued but I do fully expect Liverpool to start on the front foot. If Wolves can sit tight and escape the first fifteen minutes, we will grow into the game and have chances to hit Liverpool on the counter. Moreno the full back that loves to go forward will at some point or another be picked off by Helder Costa and Wolves will get their opportunities. The odds of a Wolves success are slowly creeping down as expected team line-ups are being filtered through. On paper Liverpool win, but in reality there’s never been a better time to take to Anfield. No league win in 2017, A midweek defeat to see them out of the EFL Cup and then a clash with Chelsea in the Premiership just three days after.
After a 2-0 win at the Bet365 in the previous round (where I gave us no chance) and a small army of 8,300 fans going we won’t need any motivational speeches from ex Liverpool youth player and fan Conor Coady to get us up for this. I’m expecting a cracking game of football.

    Probable teams:
Liverpool: Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Klavan, Moreno; Lucas, Stewart, Ejaria; Ojo, Woodburn, Origi
(although as he didn’t play on Wednesday I’d presume Wijnaldum will be starting)

Wolves: Burgoyne; Coady, Stearman, Batth, Doherty; Price, Edwards; Costa, Mason, Weimann; Bodvarsson

    Picks:
Wolves to win, 12/1 (now 11/1)
    Various
    Wolves over 1.5TG, 6/1 (now 5/1)
    Bet 365
Wolves double chance, 7/2 (now 11/4)
    Bet 365

    • Jordan 7 years ago

Craigy don’t take this as abuse but I think you’re punching slightly. If Liverpool had qualified midweek then maybe. Tomorrow’s clash gives them more incentive to win after their exit the other day, and it’s obviously a much bigger cup. Ok Liverpool haven’t played as well as they have been, but I think all three bets you’ve posted are a big ask. Fatigue could be a factor and you can get Wolves to score @ 24/25 @ Marathon Bet, but even then it’s not something I’d stake heavily on.

    • maccathered 7 years ago

It certainly is not a bet i would advise.Liverpool will pick up sooner rather than later and as for team news i don’t know where you got that from but the echo is not reporting that team, its a bet really only you should take because there could be a lot of dissapointed people,if liverpool have a good game then wolves will get hammered.

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

      @jordan

Of course all picks are a big ask. On paper Liverpool v Wolves is a home banker. If Liverpool play well they will win. If Liverpool play poorly, Wolves need to have a blinder. Nothing in betting is certain and here is an example where there are a few factors against Liverpool and a few going for Wolves which gives me a sense of belief (or hope) that this one may not go to script.

When Liverpool took to the field against Plymouth I fancied a 3 or 4-0. Horribly wrong.

When Liverpool took to the field against Swansea again I fancied Liverpool to win with plenty to spare. Got it wrong.

For me Liverpool need the Chelsea game. They can be the underdog, no pressure and a game Anfield will be up for it (just checking Liverpool’s odds now, 17/11). They’ve stepped up when they haven’t been fancied and stuttered against the lesser teams. This Wolves game is a massive inconvenience for Klopp and Liverpool. I agree that you need to be aware of a wounded animal but that animal should have come out on Wednesday.

All I’m saying is I’d be more worried if I’d have put Liverpool in my accy for the weekend, being the early kick off and everything ;)

    • maccathered 7 years ago

If wolves can defend like southampton then you have a chance, liverpool’s main problem is not playing poor but not being able to break down tight defences, liverpool will have all the posession thats for sure.

PSV look a lot more organized with Van Ginkel back in the team. They conceded 3 last week, but Heerenveen has a great attacking line. Ajax and Feyenoord both won without conceding at Heracles, I think it will be 0-2. Not sure Heracles can score

    I’m also on

    Union Berlin
    Derby.

Again all over 2.5 btts only £20 on this one

Btts & over 2.5 was a winner in the Jets/City game. Looks like a few were on it so well done. The Sunday game between Adelaide & the Phoenix looks good for corners. Waiting on the individual team markets but this is one to look out for. Otherwise in the FA Cup tomorrow can’t ignore Southampton or draw against the Gunners at 3/4 (bet365). Might be best to wait on line-ups but this looks good for sure.

Early bird tips for Saturday. 3 games analysed in detail.

    Enjoy

    12.30 Motherwell vs Rangers
    Prediction – 1.2
Best Bets – BTTS @7/10, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @21/20

    Key Facts
    * Motherwell have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of their last 8 home league fixtures
    * Going back further, 11 of their last 16 home games have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals
    * 31 goals were scored in their last 8 home matches. Motherwell scored 15 and conceded 16
    * Motherwell have scored in 13 of their last 16 home fixtures
    * Motherwell’s home results against top 5 opponents (Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and St Johnstone) this season saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored. (3.4 vrs Celtic, 1.3 vrs Aberdeen and Hearts and 1.2 vrs St Johnstone)
    * Rangers have seen BTTS in 8 out of 10 away league fixtures this season with only 1 clean-sheet kept during that period.
    * 5 of those 8 games also went over 2.5 goals
    * Rangers have won all 3 meetings between these two sides this season. Both of the last meetings at Ibrox finished 2.1 to the home side including last weekend’s Scottish Cup tie.

    Final Verdict
Goals should be on the cards here with an on=form Rangers heading to leaky Motherwell in the early lunch-time kick off from the SPL in Scotland.

The hosts have a nice habit of scoring and losing to the better sides in the division, especially at home and I fancy that outcome here with Rangers strong enough to come away with the points but also vulnerable enough to concede themselves.

Indeed Rangers have kept only 1 clean-sheet on the road this season and given the hosts ability to score at home (13 of their last 16), BTTS looks pretty likely @7/10 while I expect this game to also go over 2.5 goals and the double pays at just over evens @21/20.

    14:30 RasenBallsport Leipzig vs Hoffenheim
Best Bets — BTTS @3/4, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @5/4
    Prediction – 2.1

    Key Facts
    * RBL have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 home league fixtures
    * 4 of those 5 also went over 2.5 goals
    * RBL have scored 2 goals or more in each of their last 6 home Bundesliga matches
    * RBL sit 2nd in the league, 3 points behind leaders Bayern while Hoffenheim are 3rd, a further 8 points behind
    * RBL have won each of their last 6 home league fixtures
    * Hoffenheim have scored in 13 of their last 15 away league fixtures
    * Hoffenheim are unbeaten in each of their last 8 away league fixtures
    * Hoffenheim have seen BTTS in 10 of their last 15 away league fixtures including 5 of the last 8
    * Hoffenheim remain unbeaten in 17 league fixtures so far this season
    * Hoffenheim have drawn 6 of their last 8 league fixtures
    * Hoffenheim have drawn 5 of their last 8 AWAY league fixtures
    * These two sides met for the first time ever on the opening day of the season. That match finished in a 2.2 draw.

    Final Verdict
Goals have to have a good chance here as two on-form sides clash in Leipzig with 3rd placed and unbeaten Hoffenheim taking on the seasons surprise package, 2nd placed RB Leipzig.

Both sides have surprised the Bundesliga by taking 2 of the top 3 spots at the half-way stage in the season and I expect an entertaining contest here between two sides with little to lose and everything to play for as we enter the final months of the season.

A home win is expected but given the away sides unbeaten record, I’m more tempted by BTTS @3/4
Hoffenheim are unbeaten in 8 on the road, even taking a point at FC Bayern in December and I fancy them to score and given the home side’s form, particularly in front of their own support, BTTS seems likely @3/4.

BTTS and over 2.5 has a chance as well in a match that should be well contested with the unbeaten visitors sure to cause their own problems for the title chasing new-boys.

14:30 Werder Bremen vs Bayern Munich
    Prediction – 1.3
Best Bets – BTTS @19/20, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @6/5

    Key Facts
    * Werder have seen BTTS in a remarkable 20 of their last 21 home league fixtures
    * 16 of those 20 games also saw over 2.5 goals scored
    * Werder scored in all 21 of those games with their sole clean-sheet coming at home to Frankfurt 7 months ago
    * Werder have seen BTTS in 15 of their last 16 league games (home and away)
    * 13 of those 15 games also saw over 2.5 goals scored
    * Exactly 3 goals have been scored in 7 of Werder’s last 9 home league fixtures.
    * Bayern have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in 4 of their last 6 away league fixtures
    * Bayern have scored 2 goals or more in 8 of their last 11 away league fixtures
    * Bayern have kept only 1 clean-sheet in their last 9 away competitive fixtures (league and CL)
    * Bayern have won each of their last 14 (fourteen!) meetings with Werder
    * Bayern scored 55 goals and conceded only 7 in those 14 wins
    * Bayern have kept a clean-sheet in each of their last 6 wins over Werder!
    * Bayern have scored 5 goals or more in 5 of their last 9 wins over Werder
    * Bayern have scored 2 goals or more in 7 of their last 8 trips to Bremen.

    Final Verdict
While some of the historical stats suggest a slam-dunk win for Bayern, I expect Werder to put up a better fight than they usually do against the Bavarian champions and they can score to bring up the BTTS and over 2.5 goals selection @1/1.

The hosts have improved their form in recent weeks, and put up a brave performance with 10 men in their 2.1 home defeat to Dortmund last weekend, their first loss in 6 and while we can’t expect them to take anything from this game, they have the ability to score against a Bayern side that have not been as strong defensively as in recent years.

Werder almost always score at home, with each of their last 21 home games giving their fans at least a goal to cheer and while Bayern will be their toughest opponents of the season, I fancy them to break their long goal-scoring duck against the champions and while it won’t be enough to take the points, it should be enough to bring up my selection here with Bayern unlikely to score less than 2.

    Best Bets
    Red Bull v Hoffenheim – BTTS @3/4 – NAP
    Werder v Bayern – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @6/5 – NB
Red Bull v Hoffenheim –- BTTS and over 2.5 goals @5/4
    Motherwell v Rangers – BTTS @7/10
Motherwell v Rangers –- BTTS and over 2.5 goals @21/20

    Selected others

    Darmstadt v Koln
    Prediction – 0.0
    Best Bets – Draw @ 12/5

    Key Facts
    * Koln have drawn 12 of their last 20 away league fixtures
    * Koln have won only 2 of their last 11 away league fixtures
    * Koln have only scored 3 goals in their last 6 league fixtures
    * Koln have drawn 5 of their last 6 league fixtures including each of the last 4
    * Darmstadt have drawn 7 of their last 20 home league fixtures
    * Darmstadt ended a run of 8 successive Bundesliga defeats in their last outing, a 0.0 home draw with Moenchengladbach.
    * Despite a dismal run of form, Darmstadt have only conceded 6 goals in their last 5 home league outings.

17:30 Eibar vs Deportivo La Coruna
    Prediction – 1.1
    Best Bets – Draw @ 9/4, 1.1 draw @5/1

    Key Facts
    * Deportivo have drawn each of their last 5 league fixtures
    * Deportivo have drawn 13 of their last 25 away league fixtures.
    * Deportivo have won only 2 of their last 22 away league fixtures
    * Deportivo have seen BTTS in 9 of their last 11 league fixtures
    * Deportivo have seen BTTS in their last 6 away league fixtures
    * Deportivo have drawn 1.1 in 6 of their last 14 away league fixtures, including 3 of the last 5
    * Last season’s corresponding fixture finished in a 1.1 draw.

Touched on the Welsh 1st Div game tonight but stopped short of a write-up as thought it would be off – according to Taff Wells Twitter feed (as of 5 minutes ago) we’re set for a game.

    TAFF’S WELL VS. RISCA UNITED:

Risca are struggling, rock-bottom and 11 losses in their last 13 – they have conceded plenty of goals but interestingly usually manage to get on the scoresheet themselves.

Taffs Wells last 4 home games have seen them score 3-3-3-2 team goals and although the last 2 H2Hs saw 1 and 3 goals, the last at Rhir Dda’r finished with 7 goals in a 4-3 scoreline.

    Afternoon gents

Well done to all the winners down under this morning

After a great first three weeks it’s been a disappointing end, my 2/1 double was a goal short in the Vitesse game which is always frustrating when it’s 2-0 with 30 mins left to play! Hoping to get back to wining ways on my favourite night of the week – and as usual, France Ligue 2 is where I’m heading

    Ajaccio v Laval

The hosts still have hopes of making the promotion places and they should given they sit just 4 points off 3rd! It’s been a good start after the winter break picking up maximum points in both games but it’s there turnaround in fortunes at home that has caught my eye! They failes to win any of their opening 5 home games ( 4 draws and a defeat ) but most of those draws should have been wins! They controlled large parts of the game but jut couldn’t find the winning goal! Fast forward to their last 5 at home and they have won 4 scoring 2 or more in those games! Laval
are struggling at the bottom end of the table just above the relegation places – like a lot of French sides, they don’t travel well and they certainly don’t enjoy playing Ajaccio having lost the last 5 encounters

I’m trying to stay with goals and I said to Mr F if he sees me post another team to win again then to ban me, haha! I really fancy Ajaccio and should net at least once

    Back GFCO Ajaccio to WIN

    5/6 ( Various )

GFCO AJaccio over 1.5 team goals

    13/10 ( Coral)

PSV Reserves U1.5 tgls (thanks Mr O)

Early post for the Night Owl…

WANDERERS VS. CLUB UNIVERSITARIO (22.15 KO):

Second Leg of this Copa Libertadores clash and the first one was a cracker a few days back – 5 goals in a 3-2 scoreline sees the Uruguayans trailing but with 2 away goals under their belt.

Not going to trot out goal stats but both sides love a few goals and prices are too big to ignore (Btts 1st half is 5/1…as big as it gets)

Likely Montevideo will try and keep this tight but playing a side that have already opened them up 3 times, that may be easier said than done.

    Derby v Leicester

Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan (c), Huth, Fuchs, Albrighton, Drinkwater, King, Chilwell, Okazaki, Vardy

    Derby:
Carson, Baird, Keogh (C), Pearce, Olsson; Johnson, Bryson, Hughes; Ince, Russell, Bent

Di Sart Out and in comes Johnson. Just the one change.

btts yes, over 4.5 Leicester corners yes, over 2.5 total cards yes and a ballsy Derby win and bbts yes. FC Oss v VVV – vvv win and btts yes.

Just a damn shame that Ladbrokes think that anything linked to the derby result such as cards and/or corners is a CONTINGENCY BET !!! BOLL*CKS !!
Their in shop prices are different to those on their system, the system prices and markets are different from the customer operated in shop machines ( those machine prices are terrible ) and they won’t take a price of the in-shop machine and use it on a hand written ticket along with system derived prices. Ladbrokes markets are severely restricted too. Not customer friendly.
AAAAAAARGH !! Anyone…. William Hill, Coral, Paddy Power or Betfred, its an extra mile I’ve got to travel but I’d like the chance to at least have a decent shout at putting on the exact bet I want rather than having to make do and mend on the spot.

FYI, Derby have lost 8 in the last 9 matches against the foxes, Vardy took an absolute age to find his shooting boots after an almost endless goal drought. Also under McClaren, Derby have won 7 and drawn 2 from all the home matches he’s been in charge this season.

Best of luck folks, but my standout bet is still over 2.5 total cards – 4/5 bet365. This should sail in.

im on that which you posted earlier&@jordans tip Osasuna to score, double 6/4&btts single@1/1 now which was highlighted by Mr Fixit, all the best?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Those machines in Ladbrokes prices are not operated by Ladbrokes.
Often the prices are worse than on coupons but of course sometimes better.
Ladbrokes must be taking a fee for having them in but would be better if they did what Hills have done and put in machines with their online prices and markets.

Leicester have been good in the cups this season and a fancy them to a get a big result tonight against a team they have dominated in recent head to heads with 8 wins in 9 and they have covered the handicap in 5 of those.

Leicester win (Asian HC) & over 4.5 team corners 5.66/1

    Good luck

    • nathanufton 7 years ago

Agree with you on the corners, you’re right on the head to head but its been a long time since they played us and they’ve not been playing as well as last year. Vardy had a goal drought this season that made Emile Heskey look good. Either team could win this and I do think it will be a btts and over 2.5 tmg’s.

Derby’s bench is very defence orientated, the first time I’ve seen the bench where a GK + 4 defence minded players + 2 attack options, it’s usually 4 or 5 attacking options and a few defensive players. Might point towards Derby going all guns blazing and then maybe holding onto a lead till the last whistle.

  111. nathanufton 7 years ago

Fc Oss goal short for me. To rub salt in the wounds, I went in the shop and asked for Derby win/over 2.5 tmg’s along with the VVV win and overs, Ladbrokes don’t do it so I had to rejig my bet.

    • shortee 7 years ago

you could have got vvv venlo and win on the machine under match bet and total goals, win and over 2.5 was 21/20 on the machine as i looked before work and the derby game had the same market… Only really use it when im looking at heavy favourites to win like and under 4.5 match goals as usually about 4/5 or 4/6 when home team is 1/3, 1/4 straight win etc

juventus 4/9 win sunday but juventus win and under 4.5 goals on the terminal in ladbrokes is 4/6

Anyway hope derby win for you @nathanufton but as u say, you either want a win and move on or lose and move on, last thing you want is a draw like you stated mate

Ajax v ADO Den Haag (Sunday)

ADO Den Haag started the season quite well, but are now in the relegation zone. They lost 12 of their last 15 games. They won their first 2 aways in August, but lost 8 of their last 9 and drew 1-1 at bottom club Roda. Their captain Beugelsdijk said the team is a complete mess + they will miss their best strikers Havenaar en Kasteneer due to injury. I think this is not the best time to head to Amsterdam. Ajax scored an average of 2.33 at home and conceded only 0.89. Den Haag conceded an average of 2.20 away from home and I can’t see Den Haag scoring in this game.

But there is a bet which has a very good chance of landing. Ajax to win both halves is just over evens and I think that is good value. As I said I can’t see Den Haag score and it should take only 1 goal by Ajax before half time and 1 goal after to land this bet. Just like in the reverse fixture which ended 0-2

    • Jordan 7 years ago

      Cheers DC. Nice win yourself.

Webber, thanks, but it’s really nothing. Like I said Greg, Mr F and Damo did exactly the same for me. Some learn, some don’t. Just glad people do take note.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

We’re all still learning – I certainly am.
The 2 things everyone should take into account is do as few selections as possible and look at goal options.
      Well done tonight.

Took your tip tonight Jordan’s so thanks again for earlier reply one bet tonight one winner. Was so tempted to go for a Leicester goal late on but didn’t going to stay disciplined. The goal came but was more happy I didn’t go chasing the next bet

  130. nathanufton 7 years ago

Very disappointed with the lack of cards in this Derby game, on another day Leicester would of had 2 or 3 just for the fouls on Hughes, 2nd half Derby start to be a bit naughty too.
Then Leicester go blow the party. Was just saying to my mum Derby need another goal.
    2-2.
Hope to god it doesn’t stay like it. Don’t want a replay.

  148. HullShaker 7 years ago
