MOST of my calls on Wednesday's games were spot on but one leg beat my Top Treble.

Leeds and Monaco won but the AZ game went unders. I threatened a couple of Super Singles – Southampton to qualify, Celta Vigo not to lose – which would have been winners but in the end didn't post them. I did though put up a winning double on the app – that's six winners out of seven.

Greg backed his side St Johnstone to be hammered but they defended well in a 1-0 defeat at Celtic.

So star of the show was Jordan with two cracking calls – Chris Wood to score for Leeds and btts and overs at Celta Vigo v Real Madrid.

Tonight sees Man United take a 2-0 lead to Hull in the EFL Cup semi-finals and I expect them to add to it although Jose Mourinho is likely to rotate and it's another game where you want to see teams before parting with your hard earned.

Hull will be without star man Robert Snodgrass who is on the verge of a £10million move to West Ham and if they try to attack they will be picked off.

Jake Livermore has also been sold for £10m, Curtis Davies is one of several players out and Ryan Mason is recovering in hospital from the fractured skull he suffered against Chelsea on Sunday.

So manager Marco Silva has his work cut out although he hopes Liverpool loan man Lazar Markovic is cleared to play.

This could go two ways – it could be a dull, low scorer with Man Utd settling for what they have. But if United score early they could go on to win by a few. Best bets look to be under 2.5 goals or United to win to nil.

Let's face it a double on Man Utd and Barcelona will be popular at evens with Betway and it's one I may post as a Super Single or double after I see line-ups. Having seen them on the double but it's now just 4-5 at Marathonbet.

Barcelona take a 1-0 lead to the Nou Camp for their Spanish Cup semi-final 2nd leg with Real Sociedad and again should extend it. They are without a trio of midfielders – Andres Iniesta, Rafinha and Sergio Busquets – so will rely more than ever on MSN to see them across the line.

Jordan's tipping goals at Eupen but there's nothing much else on the go although as I say I may post a tip tonight.

    Cheers Mr F.

Massive game in the A-League ‘The Big Blue’. But goals tough to predict with so much on the line. Could be a tight affair and the card line is a tad high at 5.5. Bet I considered was Sydney to score before 52:00 with 365 but not confident enough. Usually in the A-League I’m almost certain when goals are brewing (Friday mornings encounter) but something’s throwing a herring or two in this one. If Sydney win they will likely win the league in my opinion, and after two bad defeats for the Victory, they won’t want a third in what is their biggest game of the season so far.

Instead I’m heading back to Belgium where Eupen host Standard Liege. Despite Eupens poor form over their last five, they can still produce the goals at home. Where 9 of their last 10 have seen BTTS & Over 2.5, with 7 of Liege’s 10 on the road also landing this market. Liege have only conceded 26 goals this season, but 18 of those are on their travels.

    Eupen/Standard Liege BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals @ EVS @ Coral – 2 points

It really is an intriguing game. Have took a real interest in the A League since having BT Sport installed over a month ago and like you say it has the potential to be a tight affair.
Melbourne Victory quite simply need to win to keep it alive and a part of me thinks Sydney will be quite happy with a draw and then another part of me thinks they might just think to hell with it. Sydney aren’t as dominant as they have been earlier on in the season and they have an awful record against Victory although they did win earlier on in the season. I reckon its a game that may explode second half. At some point the home side need to go for the jugular and I reckon it’s going to be an action packed game, particularly after HT.
19/20 for over 1.5 second half goals which is the tempting bet for me so far but I can always place that in-play.
I’ve got this weird feeling Sydney might click – all the pressure is on Victory and they’ve been wobbling in recent weeks. If Sydney get a goal early on I can see them winning it quite comfortably. Nearly 2/1 for a Sydney win has major appeal and I might even back them to net three or even get on the -1 handicap.

    HULL CITY VS. MAN UTD:

City have played honourably with a hugely decimated squad all season and off the park considerations haven’t helped matters – yet they’ve found a way and new boss Silva has injected life into the team.

Alas, I think that will count for nought this evening, injuries worse than ever confounded by a devastating skull fracture for young Ryan Mason who appears to be on the mend thank god.

The bad luck doesn’t stop there though, Livermore – a massive physical presence (have you seen the guy up close) is gone as is Snoddy; two of the players that have kept The Tigers from embarrassment now gone and little to replace them.

Silva himself has stressed that tonight’s game means nothing aside from Mason’s recovery – I completely agree with him but the show goes on and the match will be played out for 90 minutes.

Utd will show little mercy and these Tigers have had their claws clipped one to many times this season…

    MAN UTD OVER 2.5 TGS…13/8
    ????

    MAN UTD OVER 3.5 TGS…9/2
    ??

    UTD SCORE A PENALTY…5/1

Good luck with all bets ?

Mr fix it your tips for Wednesday lost full stop. How can you again say you were spot on.Don’t mind losing but you take the mickey with stupid comments like I was spot on and you lost. When l subscribed to this site was for tips and insight to games if you give comments out like that again l will be annoyed very annoyed.

    • anton 7 years ago

MrF. said calls, not tips were spot on.

    • -wato- 7 years ago

@kieronpatrickmunnelly can’t believe you even posted that. Wasn’t sure whether you were joking or not. You clearly were more annoyed losing the bet than you say and the toys exited the pram. If the write ups annoy you that much which was a ridiculous line as you must have more in life to worry about that what is written on here.

    • Jordan 7 years ago

      Very annoyed ?

Keiron, Mrfs’ and everyone else’s deliberations are a guild to draw your attention to possibilities so you can make your own mind up, many people on here take in the expert knowledge and adapt to suit their betting style. Personally like the main man Alves’s tip.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Read yesterday’s post then read today’s again very carefully.
Most of the “calls” I made were correct – that is Southampton to qualify (although I was more convincing about that in my newspaper column because macathered wouldn’t read that), Celta Vigo not to lose, unders at Ghana, etc.
My only tip was as I say a loser due to unders at AZ which went against all stats.

I don’t always agree with every tip / call from mrf or some others so I just don’t back them. I don’t moan about it because we are all here for the same reason! Plus the call that lost the bet looked absolutely nailed on. We all have the same info available to us and I would say those that looked would’ve gone for it. If betting was that easy we’d all be loaded. Further more if you don’t like it feck off, cheeky fecker!

App daily double has won something like 22 out of 30 so about 70 per cent as you say.

  12. iaabh22 7 years ago

Been doing reall well on btts and over 2.5 trixies so thought I’d start to post them I bet either £20 or £40 which is £10 per line depending on confidence currently I am £490 up for the month after Real Madrid kv Michelen and Utrecht came up trumps last night.

    Tonight I’m on
    Vitesse
    Eupen
    Barcelona

Only £20 £5 per line there’s not a huge amount of choice tonight and I’m hoping Barcelona dominate and sociedad get an away goal when Barca open up.

Generally I use some good stats sites and compare them to come up with best choices mixed in with a little bit of knowledge and luck.

    Melbourne Victory v Sydney

I’ve had a sleep on it and although the prices are drifting towards Victory I simply cannot ignore Sydney.

    Melbourne Victory – Key Facts

    – Have lost the last two (3-0 and 2-1)
    – Despite winning the last two at home, they’ve conceded twice (Brisbane and Newcastle)
    – Prone to bottling it in the big games…1-0 up in Sydney and lost 2-1 and then back in October lost 2-0 and 4-1 at home to local rivals Melbourne City. Last week they surrendered a 1-0 lead and lost 2-1 in the last ten minutes to Perth Glory.

    Sydney – Key Facts

    – Unbeaten all season
    – In their last four away from home they’ve won netting 3, 4, 4 and 2.
    – Have scored at least twice in all of their away games except for two where they won one and drew the other.

No much time today, as it’s been a big Australia Day for me. Happy Australia Day to all my fellow Aussies!

Huge clash in the A-League, as a win for the Victory closes the gap on Sydney, whilst a win for Sydney will all but clinch the title now. Emotions will be high for this one, leading to rash challenges, etc. Sydney have a few absences in defense for this one, leaving the door ajar for the likes of Rojas, Berisha, Troisi and Ben Khallfallah (who’s back from suspension). Victory themselves are somewhat abject in defense, so if not careful will be punished by Brosque, Bobo & co.

There could well be goals, but Sydney’s defensive records speaks for itself. There will certainly be silly challenges and tonight’s ref (Jarrod Gillett) isn’t shy to show cards either. Both teams also like playing from set pieces, and the corners line looks like it should be achievable given both attacking sides, and the inability for Victory to simply sit back.

    Tips:
    Over 5 cards (asian) @ 1.8 (3PT)
    1st card before 27min @ 1.83 (2PT)
    Over 10.5 corners @ 1.80 (3PT)
    (bet365)

    Best of luck all!

    Melbourne Victory V Sydney FC

A game which Melbourne must win and Sydney can afford to draw/lose. As a result, I see this being a feisty game from the Victory, especially if Sydney take the lead or maintain possession. This is a game which is also very corner happy and with Melbourne pushing for goals, I see more of the same. Hopefully Sydney can chip in with a fair share of their own too.

One perhaps worth a low-stake dabble this morning…

SLAVIA PRAHA VS. RUŽOMBEROK (11.30 KO):

Ruzemberok played Sparta Prague a couple of days back – a team that today’s opponents Slavia Prague pipped to a tight 2nd placed league spot – with the result a sound 5-0 gubbing by the Czech side.

Taking that as an indicator, you’d surmise a similar scoreline as the Serbians continue their away tour but obviously it hinges on team selections, etc hence the neccessity for low stakes.

As it is, I’ve checked Slavia’s rather great Twitter feed and its a strong line-up based on last season’s key players…my moneys on 15 goal striker Skoda and co to hit top gear and grab a few goals against weaker opposition.

I backed Celtic to score three last night and on another night they would have, Dembele missed 3 or 4 good chances and we defended pretty well! On last nights evidence, Dembele looked more like a poor mans Emile Heskey than a £15m rates striker

Not much on today but I have an interest in two matches in the continent they should provide us with some goals and give us a find for out money at a decent price! Andy both but posting as a double Struggling for time so no wrote up sorry

Saw your D Zagreb tweet about the 4 first half sendings off, MrF. Just watched a clip of the incidents and if that’s a friendly then I’m the King of Siam. Stone me, there’s a FIFTH gone as I type, seven minutes into the second half. What price more officials than players at full time Lol

Being a Feyenoord supporter I would say there is very good value in going for a Vitesse win tonight, in any form. Maybe DNB or double chance to err a bit more on the safe side, but regardless. We have been missing our main CM El Ahmadi who is at the AFCON and although they won the two league matches without him, it was completely unconvincing. For tonight however we are also missing our other starting holding midfielder Vilhena and man in form Toornstra is a major doubt too.

The predicted midfield lineup does absolutely nothing to make me think we will come away with the win tonight. All three (Tapia/Gustafson/Nieuwkoop) have been struggling to make an impression in the very few games they played this season (mostly as subs). Can’t really rule Feyenoord out completely as they just keep on winning in the league even when playing trashy, but the value on Vitesse who will be giving it their all tonight is just really good.

    • silenthc 7 years ago

Oh and good old Dirk Kuyt might not be starting/playing either, despite his age and shortcomings at this stage he is still an important player with his excellent mentality, especially in these cup matches.

    • mr. orange 7 years ago

Totally agree, Vitesse have a good chance tonight. I was thinking backing them on +0.5 asian market, as I can see this ending 0-0 or 1-1. But I am still waiting for an unders bet in this game and don’t like to put too much points on cup games.

  39. hudmystar 7 years ago

Besiktas drew so the double chance would be a winner I didn’t tip it as not really any team news till after kick off but I backed the draw at evens at half time. Suited both teams regret not following my head now

    A-league tomorrow morning 850.
Not much to really say on these 2 teams except goals goals goals.
City 1 clean sheet in 13 league games (against 10 men for most of the match) the jets 1 in 20 matches. Both meetings last year resulted in btts/over 2.5 and in fact the last 7 have seen overs. City havnt been too prolific recently with only 4 goals in they’re last 3 matches but with both teams contributing I can’t see past btts/over 2.5 (maybe even 3.5 if you can get it). I fancy city to nick this one and I’ll take them for the win too. Suggested bets
    City + over 2.5 7/5 bet 365
    btts/over 2.5 5/6 bet 365
    Btts/over 3.5 13/8 skybet

Usually value in backing city over 1.5 team goals and overs for corners but the corner line is set fairly high for an away game ( over 6.5 on bet 365 and I can’t see anyway to request over 4 or 5 on skybet) so I’ll make my mind up on that in the morning once I see teams

    Good evening Gentlemen,

    Dutch Eredivsie:

Ajax v ADO Den Haag (Sunday)

ADO Den Haag started the season quite well, but are now in the relegation zone. They lost 12 of their last 15 games. They won their first 2 aways in August, but lost 8 of their last 9 and drew 1-1 at bottom club Roda. Their captain Beugelsdijk said the team is a complete mess + they will miss their best strikers Havenaar en Kasteneer due to injury. I think this is not the best time to head to Amsterdam. Ajax scored an average of 2.33 at home and conceded only 0.89. Den Haag conceded an average of 2.20 away from home and I can’t see Den Haag scoring in this game.

Finding value isn’t easy when you see below odds.
Over 1.5 Ajax team goals 1.20
    Ajax -1 handicap 1.38
Ajax to win to nil 1.65
Home team to win one half 1.07

But there is a bet which has a very good chance of landing. Ajax to win both halves is just over evens and I think that is good value. As I said I can’t see Den Haag score and it should take only 1 goal by Ajax before half time and 1 goal after to land this bet. Just like in the reverse fixture which ended 0-2

Home team to win both halves @ 2.02 with 888 / unibet

A lot of snipping on site again I see!
My perspective is there’s a ‘protective’relationship between the blog tipsters, and at times this makes other contributors feel alienated. Jordan you’re too often noted digging at others, and for sure always wanting to be the ‘main’ man on site. Mr F is always there backing you up. Mr. F, why did you have to post your ‘doubts’ over Max’s points placed? Don’t you want to attract more tipsters? Personally found Max and tips very good, and his personality, like it or not, adds something extra to site!
Some of us enjoy casual betting and won’t lose any sleep if a bet is successful or not. The main tipsters are really appreciated by ,I would imagine most ! If others can successfully contribute, all well and good. For me it’s the way forward, thus ‘mocking’ or disrespecting others is without doubt detrimental.
Anyhow, no doubt the ‘usual’ will give me pelters, so be it!
Good luck all with bets this evening ?

We know all about prestatyn and with Aber missing out on the top 6 split and struggling recently could be a shock here.

Can’t find any other markets but
Btts and overs and Btts and prestatyn win would be worth a few bob

    Night Owl:

I’ve been through the full card for overseas kick offs and although some look appealing on the surface, a scratch or two beneath shows trip hazards right, left and centre.

Only one game stacks up for me and one bet in particular.

    VITÓRIA VS. SERGIPE (22.00 KO):

Copa do Nordeste game here and there’s no doubt who are potentially the stronger side.

Vitoria; Serie A by the skin of their teeth and only a fairly heroic end to the campaign saw them beat the drop. But there’s still a gulf in class as they host Serie D side Sergpipe.

Serie D is split into pots/groups of 4 – last season, Sergpipe came bottom of their quad drawing 4 and losing 2 of their 6 games.

Vitoria ended their campaign with goals galore: 3-1-4-5-4-4 match goals in their last 6 and if you look at the prior H2Hs between the two sides, goals certainly enter the equation: 5-1, 2-2 and 2-0 scorelines being the end result.

One last stat – and hopefully the hard work pays off as this has taken some unpicking – in all 3 of those H2Hs, a minimum of 2 second half goals were scored and it’s a tasty looking price.

    Three selections to consider:

    OVER 1.5 SHGS…4/5
    ????

    OVER 2.5 MGS…4/6
    ???

    OVER 3.5 MGS…33/20
    ??

    Best of luck chaps ?
