IT'S all about Andy Murray on Sunday morning as the Scot bids to book a quarter-final spot at the Australian Open.

Terrible night really on the nba for me not happy at all, what are the Pistons playing at on wizards under 200 but feel that won’t come in. Gunna go back to picking one SINGLE a night on the nba with decent enough value. Still way in profit but had 2 losing nights on the bounce so not happy with it but it’s called gambling for a reason the bookies have the advantage challenge accepted.

Kevka, I think the odds are so good for a 3rd quarter win because the teams I pick usually have a 20 point or more lead at HT. If there is that much of a lead then there is obviously some bad match ups in the game, but bookies seem to think that the teams winning will back off in the third. Maybe I’ve just been lucky two nights on the trot :D

Ad – are you sure?! Rafa v Berdych is a coin flip, given the current form of both players. Berdych has been flawless all tournament and Rafa is still on the comeback. As with the Ferrer / Nishikori match, I except this one to go long – at least four tough sets. Berdych may even nick it.
James- no I’m not sure. Rafa hasnt been back for long enough and Berdych is in great form as you say. But that head to head is ridiculous. If it was someone else playing Rafa with Berdychs game and his form I would back them. But it’s not. Berdych was flawless in Doha last week till he played Ferrer and he crumbled. He bottles the big points every time and against Nadal i expect him to wilt under the added pressure of their history even more. 8/13 is too big.

I know this isn’t the footy thread, but yes, the Porto game was a right spoiler – I watched it, however, and they had at least 5 clear goal scoring opportunities, was just unlucky. I think the various winter breaks, CAF and Asia Cup have had some kind of impact. The Champions League is reliable for betting and the leagues will settle down again.

These are the rules implied for the pro bowl, as opposed to a normal NFL game. Hope they come in useful for anyone having a punt on the game. Good luck guys
GAME WITHIN A GAME – A two-minute warning will be added to the first and third quarters and the ball will change hands after each quarter. This will increase the opportunities for quarterbacks to direct “two-minute drills,” which are especially exciting for fans.
NO KICKOFFS – The coin toss will determine which team is awarded possession first. The ball will be placed on the 25-yard line at the start of each quarter and after scoring plays.
COVER TWO + PRESS COVERAGE – The defense will be permitted to play “cover two” and “press” coverage. In previous years, only “man” coverage was permitted, except for goal line situations.
STOPPING THE CLOCK – Beginning at the two-minute mark of every quarter, if the offense does not gain at least one yard, the clock will stop as if the play were an incomplete pass. This rule will make the team with the ball attempt to gain yardage toward the end of each quarter.
GAME TIMING – The game clock will start after an incomplete pass on the signal of the referee, except inside the last two minutes of the first half and the last five minutes of the second half.
PLAY CLOCK – A 35-second/25-second play clock will be adopted instead of the typical 40-second/25-second clock.
SACKS – The game clock will not stop on quarterback sacks outside of the final two minutes of the game. Currently, the game clock stops in these situations outside of two- minutes of the second and fourth quarters.
GOAL POSTS – We also note that the goal posts for this game have been reduced from 18 feet wide to 14 feet wide. This is experiment as the league is looking for ways to make the kick a bit harder, due to sky high kicking percentages.

The biggest difference on the friendlier thread subject is that there isn’t as many people that come in here. Given the fact there will be someone moaning about a losing tip once in a while, it probably gets 10% or less of the following that the football thread gets. Which is quite strange as there’s more consistent winners in American sports. Nobody take this the wrong way but I’m glad the thread is so relaxed and chilled. The less of a following the better. I post my tips primarily for me and if anybody wants to follow it’s up to them. That’s the reason I never say ‘hope you followed’ or anything like that.
