THERE was a seismic shock in the Australian Open men's singles on Friday – and it's good news for Andy Murray.
Roger Federer is the big-name casualty after crashing to Andreas Seppi and it means Murray can't face the Swiss genius in the quarters, providing the Scot gets past Grigor Dimitrov. Federer's exit has also seen title odds slashed, with Murray now 5-1 at SportingBet behind Novak Djokovic (5-6, Paddy Power) while Rafa Nadal is 7-1 at Betway.
The Saturday morning action in Melbourne sees Djokovic take on Fernndo Verdasco and into the early hours of Sunday Murray is 1-3 with Skybet to KO Dimitrov, who is 12-5 with 888sport.
Maria Sharapova – second favourite for the women's title at 4-1 with Betfair – plays her fourth-round match against Shuai Peng and the likes of Eugenie Bouchard and Ekaterina Makarova are also in action.

Jordan struggled to post yesterday for some reason but saw your profile bowl post, not seen any odds yet but it’s a new concept last 2 years, used to be nfc v afc and points spread would always be set to 90pts plus and some of scores were incredible. Rules are slightly different in that there are restrictions on the defence meaning games were always high scoring, the vikes Kyle rudolph even got MVP one year when he scored about 4. It’s going be closer and lower scoring now though since they changed the system to draft picks. Not seen pts spread but I’d be looking at under 48 if that’s anywhere close to the spread, p power not put up anything for it yet

To me it just looks as if it’s a game where coaches and players are able to make plays that they aren’t allowed to in regular season. Might skip the betting and just watch for interest.
