SERENA WILLIAMS will take some stopping in Melbourne and on Friday night the latest player with the thankless task of trying to halt her is Elina Svitolina.

The Ukrainian is 8-1 with bet365 for a shock third-win win against the top seed and five-time champ. Serena has yet to drop a set at this year's Australian Open and is 3-10 at Paddy Power to continue that trend with a 2-0 success.

Sister Venus is also in action tonight and Skybet rate her 4-11 to see off world No.33 Camila Giorgi of Argentina, who is 5-2 with Boylesports.

In the men's draw there are plenty of big names on court throughout Friday night and early Saturday morning, including defending champ Stan Wawrinka, world No.1 Novak Djokovic and title contenders Kei Nishikori and Milos Raonic.

In golf's Qatar Masters it's day three with Ace Venturer's tip of Sergio Garcia nicely poised just three off the lead. And another of Ace's picks, Matt Kuchar, is right in touch at the top of the Humana Challenge which hits the halfway stage today.

The cricket ODI between Australia and England is under way and there's also the likes of European Cup rugby while the NBA betting fans are spoiled for choice with an 11-match card.

Good luck with your bets and let's hear your sporting tips and thoughts.

Federer down 2 sets to 0. Who saw that coming??? Why oh why did I include him in my Acca at such short odds as well…

Cycling: Tour down under stage 4 result

    Match-up double, winner in capitals:

    MARCEL KITTEL v Giacomo Nizzolo
STEELE VON HOFF v Wouter Wippert
Double @ 2.59 with William Hill
    WIN :)

Von Hoff won the stage, Kittel leaded the last group over the finish and our friend Nizzolo was at the back of that group. Note to self: back against Kittel this early in the season when bookies think he is the favourite

Wow Fed – Personally can’t believe Seppi won that match, credit to him. Met 10 times previously and Feds only dropped 1 set and then drops 3 in a night. It shows stats aren’t everything.

Can’t believe what I’ve woken up to….Federer losing to Seppi in 4?? Im truly shocked. I don’t know one person in the world of tennis who saw that coming. At least breakfast is sorted. I seem to recall saying Id eat my keyboard if that happened!

Ad, you’ll probably bring it up on the ski slope! Crazy result but helps Murray if he can beat Dimitrov.

  17. Ad 9 years ago

Well done to those on Kevin Anderson. I caught the last ten minutes and he was playing out of his skin. That’s the aggressive gameplan he hasn’t really quite brought against Gasquet before.

I’ve chosen the right time to go on holiday! Gna take me a while to get over that Federer scoreline and digest this keyboard.

Shocking night last night for a lot of us with some really unexpected results in both tennis and basketball. Hopefully there is no mud-slinging and we get back on track tonight.
I think Federer/ spurs/ nets and the bucks bust a lot of coupons but that’s why we shouldn’t go too big and we can make it back the next day.

    • Ad 9 years ago

Well said Iddy. When I don’t win as much as I could’ve done on a good winner I curse not having put more on, but it’s times like these I’m glad I keep my stakes steady. The only real damage i’ve taken from Federer’s defeat is physical one!

  20. Iddy 9 years ago

A tip from me tonight – think Ad may have flagged it already but Vandweghe to beat Brengle at 4/7 looks really good.
Might be worth doubling it with something else to get it to around evens. Brengle played a lot of tennis last 2 weeks and Coco is hitting a bit of form.

  21. Ad 9 years ago

There’s been a big shift in the Pospisil / Garcia Lopez match odds. I’m backing GGL mainly on the strength of it. He was a 5/4 outsider yesterday and now he’s a 9/10 favourite. He’s as low as 4/6 with bet365 who seem to know their stuff on the tennis.

    Garcia Lopez d Pospisil @ 9/10 (Men’s Aus Open 03:00)

  22. cooldude 9 years ago

Ad is Federer out after our conversation last night??

  23. Ad 9 years ago

He certainly is cooldude. I hope my confidence didn’t talk you into putting any money on him to win it?
I backed him with a little bit of cash to make the final and in an acca to win his quarter so those are out the window. Nothing major though. More stunned than disappointed right now.

  24. Ad 9 years ago

Just to follow up on the Pospisil tip, he is apparently struggling with an injury. May be worth backing against him with a bookie who pay out if he retires.

    Garcia Lopez d Pospisil @ 9/10
    Janowicz d Lopez @ 8/15 (tipped @ 4/6)
    Vandeweghe d Brengle @ 8/13

Also going to try Garcia Lopez 3-0 @ 4/1

  25. Ad 9 years ago

Cheat on a test in school? You fail, no questions asked.

Cheat on your taxes, the IRS will find you. It won’t be pretty.

Cheat on a World Cup bid and, well, you probably get awarded that World Cup, but that’s neither here nor there.

The New England Patriots cheated in the AFC championship. As such, the team should be disqualified from the Super Bowl.

Deflating 11 of 12 balls in Sunday’s game, as has been reported by ESPN, is a major violation and something that had a great affect on the game. Given the number of deflated balls, it’s almost impossible this was accident, meaning that someone in the New England organization willfully tampered with the rules to give his team an advantage. That’s cheating.

The penalty should be simple: Ban ‘em.

Of course, it’s not realistic to disqualify New England from the Super Bowl. What’s the NFL going to do, bring back the Colts to replace them? Hold a loser-bracket between Denver and Indianapolis?
    That’s not feasible.
Just because the Pats should be DQ’d doesn’t mean they will or could.

    But, again, they should.
The evidence is all there, assuming Chris Mortensen’s report is correct.
Former NFL referee Gerry Austin was on Mike and Mike this morning and said officials check the PSI of all footballs two hours before the game.
At halftime, New England’s footballs (each team has different balls during the game) were found to be two-to-three pounds lighter. Someone deflated the balls. There’s no debate here.

The defenders of New England have been even more laughable than they were during the videotape controversy of 2007. “It doesn’t even help that much!” Sure it doesn’t. That’s why they were doing it. Of course it helps. Deflating gave Brady an easier grip on the ball and makes the ball easier to catch (at least in the first half; there’s question about whether the balls were re-inflated at half time when it was 17-7). It also left Andrew Luck with the harder footballs in the colder weather.

Would a level playing field have affected the game? It ended 45-7, so it’s doubtful.
But obviously throwing a deflated ball helps, plus the placebo effect is powerful and maybe Brady knowing he had an easier ball to throw helped. And Luck using inferior equipment, or thinking that it was hard to throw in such conditions, may have had a similar impact on his psyche.

If it’s found out that Bill Belichick knew anything about this, even after the fact, Draconian sanctions are the only way to go.
He was fined $500,000 for the videotaping controversy, which is a substantial amount of money, but is hardly going to break a man who makes many, many millions in a single season. (No one really knows exactly how much the Pats’ coach makes, but it’s thought to be over $7 million).
If Sean Payton gets suspended for an entire year because of Bountygate, Belichick deserves at least the same thing.
He affected the sanctity of the game and fairness of one of the three biggest battles of the year.

But since Roger Goodell has been showing the backbone of an invertebrate (they don’t have backbones in case you, like me, forgot seventh-grade science), an eight-game suspension seems fair.
Draft picks should be taken away, not for one year, but for two or three, because the Pats are always picking toward the end of the first round anyway. Or take away some salary cap space, like the league unjustly did to the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys.

This isn’t to say I don’t have a grudging respect for the Pats. It’s not cheating if you don’t get caught and they weren’t caught during the game.
They somehow got around the biggest mystery of this controversy — how the officials, who handle the balls in between every play, didn’t notice the changes — with ease.

But I’ll happily blame the Patriots for being skeezy once again. I’ll blame Belichick because, as Goodell said about Payton during Bountygate, the head coach is supposed to know what’s going on with his team.
I’ll blame Tom Brady who clearly knew the balls were deflated but is getting off scot-free in this controversy because he’s the Golden Boy and is handsome and is married to a supermodel. (It’s amazing how no one criticizes Brady. He’s just as guilty as the others.) But there’s blame for others too.

How on earth does the NFL, which regulates everything from shoe color to the way players gyrate in the end zone, let teams keep 12 footballs in their own possession during the game. That’s like a teacher leaving the room during an exam.

It doesn’t matter though. The NFL will turn a blind eye once again. There will be minor sanctions, this controversy will dominate the news cycle for a few days and then fade into the ether and we’ll move onto something else. But in the here and now, if the report is true, the New England Patriots should be hit hard. But they won’t and the Pats legacy will grow even more.

With the chance of a Super Bowl win in two Sundays, people will be inclined to say Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of all time. But at what?

  29. johnb 9 years ago

Seattle Seahawks sarting nickel cornerback Jeremy Lane paused for a moment Thursday when asked what makes New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski so good, because Lane disagrees.

Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane said he doesn’t think Patriots three-time All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski is that good.
“I actually don’t think he’s that good,” Lane said. “He’s OK.
He does have a big body.
But from what I’ve seen on tape, he doesn’t like you putting your hands on him.
So if we put our hands on him and shake him up a little bit, he won’t catch that many balls.”

  30. johnb 9 years ago

LOL Bill Belichick really has thrown Tom Brady to the wolves to save his own neck

  31. johnb 9 years ago

I have already advised Seattle Seahawks antipost to win the Superbowl “1st February 11:30pm”

But i have to advise to take the 10/11 now
in my opinion Seattle would win anyway but DeflateGate only makes the Pats weaker

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Johnb I can’t believe bookies are giving Seattle a head start. It’s nonsense. We’ve already seen what Seattle can do to good offense (Denver last year being one). I staked an amount after Seattle blew away Arizona to win the Superbowl @ 3/1 and I’m quite happy about that. But like you I’ll be on Seattle as my main bet. Lynch or Wilson MVP.

  32. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Pospisil by his own admission said his injury wasn’t that serious. I think garcia lopez is in good form and he will certainly be fresher than pospisil. Interestingly pospisil said his real problem was the heat and when a bit of cloud cover came he was able to take control of the match. It might be worth checking the forecast. Should be a good match though

  33. Ad 9 years ago

John- it seems a bit pointless to worry about the punishment The Patriots will (or rather, wont) receive until after their guilt has been proved.
It is however laughable that a coach who would change the teams name or the colour of their underpants if he thought it would help them win claims not to know anything at all about the intricacies of footballs and their inflation/weight etc. In the same breath he said he makes his players play with the worst balls possible in training, and conceded that they do probably inflate them to the lowest allowed level on game days as that’s what Brady likes best. Which is it?!

If they are found guilty, which I must say I hope they are, then they deserve to be thrown out. The colts should be re-instated. It’s a hard and hard to implement sanction, but cheating, not bending the rules to gain an advantage, but deliberately and systematically cheating, cannot be tolerated in sport and has to be dealt with accordingly.

  34. johnb 9 years ago

Ad the news coming out now is that they were well below the minimum allowed & it cant be doing the team any good when Belichick is putting Bradys head on the block if found guilty

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Ad they can deflate balls all they want against Seattle. It’ll only be in favour of the Legion of Boom :)

  35. Ad 9 years ago

Might get behind those seahawks then. Wanted them to win anyway, might as well make some money from it!

Here’s my final tennis tip before I disappear to foreign shores:

    Kyrgios d Seppi @ 8/13
    Add
    Wawrinka d Nieminen
    Azarenka d Strycova
    Bouchard d Begu
    Raonic d Becker
    Pays 2.58
Add Murray d Dimitrov pays 3.44

The reasons I think Kyrgios will win are thus:
Seppi will have a comedown from a first ever win over Federer and one of the biggest moments in his career.
Kyrgios has home advantage and massive support.
Kyrgios best Seppi in straight sets at the U.S open last year.
He has too much game for Seppi if he plays well.

  36. Attila 9 years ago

    Very simple from me today:

    – Warriors -15.0 @ $1.92 (30 points)
    – Bulls +7.0 @ $1.92 (30 points)

I’m pi$$3d off after yesterday’s NBA & Tennis and I’m jumping on these 2 bets which I think are as close to certainties as you can get.

Warriors will win by 20+ and do it with ease as there is a huge gulf in class in this matchup, whilst Bulls cone off a hot win last night. Bulls are 4-0 ATS on the road with no rest off a hone game this season. They ate good travelers and can see them either winning outright or only losing by a couple.

  37. Punting For Fun 9 years ago

Well that’s me finished betting on any tennis matches ever again, federer has just made my mind up for me as I used to think tennis betting has rarely got any value and throws up all sorts of results but I persevered with it tbh no one seen that coming BUT the icing on the cake was Errani with a 14 singles ranking getting beat by Wickmayer with a 80 single ranking

  38. Ad 9 years ago

If you just look at rankings when picking winners you’re not going to have much luck Punting. It’s all about matchups. Federer was a huge shock that no one couldve predicted but Errani wasn’t. She is a player suited to clay who has such a weak serve and very little power to her game. She is always vulnerable to big hitters and aggressive tennis and Wickmayer has that in her locker. If you’ve been following the tennis tips from people on here this week you’ll know the australian open has been very good to us.

  39. Punting For Fun 9 years ago

Your right Ad m8 but I have had lots of bets scuppered by 1 and it is always in accys where the odds are woeful tbh. As I rarely follow anyone’s tips on here as the fun for me is picking my own selections.

I do see some tennis winners on here and glad for the guys that are on them but as I say the fun part for me is picking my own.

  40. Ad 9 years ago

Fair enough mate. It’s always a good feeling picking a winner. But yeah, don’t be taken in by ratings. while a good indicator, they can be misleading in a lot of matchups. If you post your picks on here im sure you’ll get some helpful input. Errani for example, me or Iddy or Brian or whoever would likely have warned you about the upset potential given the contrast in styles. I think a lot of people had accas burned last night though!

  41. Punting For Fun 9 years ago

Ad I don’t really like posting my picks in case anyone gets let down if they do them after seeing a few issues with people slagging off people that pick this or that just doesn’t seem worth the grief you could get.

I do like reading everyone’s thoughts on betting and different strategies though and at times makes for good reading but at times some of the comments can be tedious when the bickering starts then its not so good reading them. Try to ignore them but it is hard at times when some threads are riddled with negative stuff.

  42. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Errani being beaten was definitely on the cards. But federer is unbelievable. I manged to avoid it with my acca but only because the odds were so short.

    • Punting For Fun 9 years ago

Well Brian @ 1/40 why would you even consider putting it in an accy but I did, the rest of them won easy as well 10 out of 11 but really putting such a short odds in an accy is just crazy when you think about it.

  43. cooldude 9 years ago

Punting for fun, you really need thick skin on this site. Take things with a pinch of salt especially when reading Harpreets comments.

  44. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Punting for fun, you really need thick skin on this site. Take things with a pinch of salt especially when reading Harpreets comments.

    • Punting For Fun 9 years ago

Yes Brian after she won the 1st set I thought pretty much in the bag and as you say had chances in the second set tovwrap it up but all went south after that. Not exactly big stakes or winnings but just annoying to see so many tennis bets I do go south with a dodgy result. But you and Ad will be more knowledgeable than me when it comes to tennis.

  45. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Well it is crazy punting but then again federer losing was just as crazy. I wouldn’t blame anyone for doing it

  46. cooldude 9 years ago

Federer made 55 unforced errors, 59% success rate with his first serve and converting just three of the 10 break points he earned. Perhaps this explains his defeat

  47. Jordan 9 years ago

Well that was a horrible set of results to see from last nights NBA?

    Bucks -3.5 LOSE
    Spurs ML LOSE

    @ EVS (50% Stake) **LOSE**

Adding Clippers over 100.5 points WIN @ 16/10 **LOSE**

Annoyed that I didn’t take the Clippers points as they managed to blow the Nets away with Blake Griffin having the highest minutes and only playing two quarters. Better picks tonight. Will have something up later. Unlucky lads that was one of those nights.

  48. Ad 9 years ago

I’ve not seen any bickering or mud slinging on this thread for a long time. And let’s keep it it that way! People on here seem to be gracious when they win and honest and apologetic when they lose.

  49. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Punting I would advise to listen to the people on here when doing accumulators. You really are better having everyone’s insight to avoid any potential upsets. For instance vanderweghe is well tipped tonight. There hasn’t been any opposition to it and she looks like a value pick. Not sure if the odds have gone down but she was tipped early. Save the fun bets for singles

  50. Ad 9 years ago

Kyrgios has drifted a bit since I posted. He is now available @ 8/11. I’m hoping and thinking that is just people jumping on Seppi in a knee jerk reaction to him beating Federer. I’ll be interested to see if Kyrgios gets well backed closer to the match.

  51. Brian tennis 9 years ago

8/11 seems good value to me. Seppi’s having a good season but I’d still take kyrgios.

  52. James 9 years ago

Seppi will not back-up his big win against Federer and I fancy him to lose Kyrgios.

Bouchard could be the upset of the next round in the ladies draw – I think Begu will at least win a set.

    • Ad 9 years ago

I wasn’t sure about Bouchard at the start of the week, but her results seem pretty convincing. Yet to see her play though. I really can’t see Begu winning though. She makes so many errors. I’m not really a fan of hers. She’s fantastic when she’s at the top of her game and firing on her serve, but I doubt she can hit that level for long enough to beat Bouchard. A set is possible. But I’d expect 2-0 Eugenie.

    • Ad 9 years ago

i expected 3-0 Federer though so who the f*ck knows!

  53. Jordan 9 years ago

A few bookies are giving us odds for the Pro Bowl which is being held this weekend. I saw highlights of the draft and ex Cowboys Hall of Famer Michael Irving picked no less than 7 Dallas Cowboys. Which included; Head Coach Jason Garrett, Captain and 1st overall Running Back in the regular season DeMarco Murray, Quarterback Tony Romo, Tight End Jason Witten, Defensive Tackle Tyron Smith, Center Travis Frederick and Guard Zack Martin. Teams will rotate a lot of players being primarily for the fans but there is no doubt that Team Irving has the better roster. This is the full list.

    Coach: Jason Garrett, Cowboys staff

    Captain: DeMarco Murray, Cowboys
    Captain: Joe Haden, Browns

    QB Tony Romo, Cowboys
    QB Matthew Stafford, Lions
    QB Matt Ryan, Falcons
    RB DeMarco Murray, Cowboys
    RB Mark Ingram, Saints
    RB C.J. Anderson, Broncos
    FB Marcel Reese, Raiders
    WR Odell Beckham Jr., Giants
    WR Golden Tate, Lions
    WR Randall Cobb, Packers
    WR Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos
    TE Jimmy Graham, Saints
    TE Jason Witten, Cowboys
    T Tyron Smith, Cowboys
    T Joe Thomas, Browns
    T Trent Williams, Redskins
    C Travis Frederick, Cowboys
    C Nick Mangold, Jets
    G Zack Martin, Cowboys
    G Kyle Long, Bears
    G Marshal Yanda, Ravens

    DE Cameron Wake, Dolphins
    DE Robert Quinn Rams
    DE DeMarcus Ware, Broncos
    DT Aaron Donald, Rams
    DT Sheldon Richardson, Jets
    DT Geno Atkins, Bengals
    LB Luke Kuechly
    LB Von Miller, Broncos
    LB Clay Matthews, Packers
    LB Elvis Dumervil, Ravens
    LB D’Qwell Jackson, Colts
    CB Joe Haden, Browns
    CB Vontae Davis, Colts
    CB Brent Grimes, Dolphins
    CB Chris Harris, Broncos
    S T.J. Ward, Broncos
    S Eric Weddle, Chargers
    S Mike Adams, Colts

    Special Teams

    ST Darrell Stuckey, Chargers
    KR Darren Sproles, Eagles
    P Kevin Huber, Bengals
    K Adam Vinatieri, Colts
    LS Jon Dorenbos, Eagles

3 QB‘s who can all throw deep, soon to be (in my eyes) Rookie of the year WR Odell Beckham Jr, Lions WR Golden Tate (will gel with Stafford both being Lions) and just look at those Linebackers! Luke Kuechly (1st in 2014 in Tackles) Clay Matthews, Von Miller (6th in sacks) Elvis Dumervil (3rd in sacks). First time I’ve really looked into the Pro Bowl so I’m not sure if these kinds of games are fixed. If the chief, johnb or Lee could shed some light on that I’d be happy to know.

  54. Iddy 9 years ago

Agree with Ad on Begu – can’t see her beating Bouchard who is looking really good so far.
Also will be on Kyrgios v Seppi -Seppi will be in the spotlight for this one with a lot of media attention etc. will be hard for him to back up the Fed win.

Ad it’s hard to say. Anderson is playing very well but Rafa seems to have recovered from his illness. I’m gonna leave it but I wouldn’t mind watching it

    • Ad 9 years ago

Yeah, I’ll prob just chuck a fiver on Anderson to win and a little more on him to get a set. Not one to go big on Id agree.

Don’t think Lopez will win Tomazzino. But as you say Janowicz isn’t the most reliable player. If he wants it enough and stays focussed he will win.

Id love Bacsinszky to win but Itl be tough. Need Muguruza to have an erratic day at the office, which could well happen. I backed Bacsinszky @ 40/1 to win that quarter so will leave the maych alone.

  62. Tomazzino 9 years ago

SAM any good tips on tennis tonight?
I’ve got in mind Treble over couple days:
Kyrgios (A.Seppi gonna loose after big win over Federer)
F.Lopez underdog (tricky but he can win over unstable janowicz)
T.Bacsinsky underdog (Muguzura is good, but in this can be upset)

    Treble pays 11.8/1

What’s ur thoughts mate? or maybe any interesting bet like u had recently on PaddyPower 7/1

  63. mlac 9 years ago

    atila im on that m8

anyone got any tennis tips tonight?
    im all over janowizc..

  64. Trucker 9 years ago

I’ve been here for years and make a few quid from tennis so thought I’d post my picks.
I don’t really have write ups or indepth detail of the players, but…I do look at stats and form and try to find odds against winners, usually 3 in a trixie. Here goes –

    Muller to beat Isner
    Pospisil to beat Guillermo
    Lopez to beat Jerzy
    13.8/1
    Trixie advised

  65. mlac 9 years ago

@trucker, lopez has been piss poor recently & jerzy looked decent agaisnt krygios.
    and isnt pospisil injured?

  66. Trucker 9 years ago

Mlac there seems to be no rhyme or reason to strange results but they happen. I don’t pick them at random but you’ll always find something on the odds against player to convince you he’ll get beat. By playing level stakes, odds against trixies I have done reasonably well.

I’ve wanted to post for a while but needed a few beers to actually do it…I’ll regret this in the morning :)

  67. ross 9 years ago

Hope you guys are right about seattle, never like betting on sumthin im supportin tho. Anyone got any good ideas on points/yards etc?

  68. Attila 9 years ago

Mlac – glad to see someone’s on with me. I’ve absolutely lumped onto Bulls & GSW big time. I cracked it after nonstop upsets yesterday so hope I can win big today.

As for Janowicz, he was on fire against Kyrgios last week so I would say he’ll be in with a good chance, but he’s a bit unpredictable tho…in saying that, Federers liss was unpredictable as was Djokovic’s loss in Qatar open 2 weeks ago. Just go with Jerzy mate, gut instinct has won me lots over the years.

  69. Mr Fishman 9 years ago

    gl attila hope u win

    • Attila 9 years ago

Mr Fishman, thanks mate. I’m still so foul with Portland, Spurs,Nets & Federer yesterday… Maybe its stupid to lump so big, but I researched the games & can’t see either bet losing (if they both play to form that is).

  70. mlac 9 years ago

@atila. im lumping on too m8 going for +13.5/14 just to be safe.
perhaps not the best idea but im chasing losses after last night / todays footy.

    jerzy janowicz
    bulls +13.5

    1/1

    acca:

    jerzy janowicz
    dominika cibulkova
    coco vanderwegh
    warriors -10.5
    bulls +14
    Hawks to win.

    9/1 sticking a 100 on it.

    • Ad 9 years ago

I dont really trust Cibulkova and Cornet is a tricky customer, but given her history here hopefully she’ll thrive and have the crowd behind her.

  71. Ad 9 years ago

A recap of my overnight tips:

    Janowicz d Lopez @ 4/6
    Garcia Lopez d Pospisil @ 10/11
    Muller d Isner @ 8/5
    Vandeweghe d Brengle @ 8/13

I’m also tempted to back Keys against Kvitova @ 7/2 just because that price for someone of Keys’ ability against someone with Petra’s ability to implode could represent some value. She’s been pretty good recently and she may well make the final, but if there’s an upset out there tonight this has as good a chance as any.

  72. Ad 9 years ago

This is an experiment to see if tempting fate really does bring disaster upon oneself.

If Milos Raonic loses to Benjamin Becker tonight I will eat my P.C. Monitor, mouse, mouse-mat, desk and chair.

I have 999 on speed-dial just in case.

  73. Mr Fishman 9 years ago

we will find out . im on gs – 23.5 and ill also do smaller

    still thinking about bulls

am also taking thunder + 6

and thinking about PHI +12.5 ,Celtics and hornets ( last two for the price) will decide in next 30 mins

  74. Jordan 9 years ago

Ross it’s a bit early to say for yards/points but Seattle on the money line will be a decent enough bet for me on Superbowl night.

  75. Mr Fishman 9 years ago

todays 5 fold not a tip just a gamble

    okc thunder +6 ( 2 points )
    Phi + 12.5
gs – 15 ( main bet 5 points ) thanks to other tips
    Hornets plus +9.5
    cel + 7

    19.87 1-2 points

u can also take out the handicap for cel , hor and phil for about 1000/1

and also not put phi in there

    anyway gl all

also bets ( 5 point singles)

    on hornets
    Celtics
    Phi

  76. huggybear 9 years ago

Thinking we all need gsw to explode tonight..

cant do worse than some of those footy tips they are crap !!

  77. Attila 9 years ago

Mlac – cheers mate. I’ve put 100 on your 6 fold as well but gave more generous handicaps (on the tennis legs too) so odds are around $4.00. Still, should come in. GL man!

  78. Jordan 9 years ago

My SS tonight will be Kyle Korver over 12.5 points @ 5/6 @ 365.

OKC rank third in opposing 3pt field goals attempted and 2nd in field goals (with Atlanta actually ranking 1st in 3pt field goals but that’s probably something to do with keeping people out of the paint).

Korver hits over 50% of his shots, averages 13.1 points per game with 8 field goal attempts. What I like here is Korver leads the NBA in 3pt shooting. He is 0.072% better than any other player attempting from downtown, with 6 per game. Stats point to this being a good bet but as we know it can be cruel. Hoping Korver got out of bed the right side this morning!

  79. mlac 9 years ago

    gl mate.
most worried about cibulkova but if she /hawks pull through it should come in :D

  80. Trucker 9 years ago

Love it when huggy and attila bet the same thing..I gladly ride on those coat tails :)

  81. Mr Fishman 9 years ago

what do people think about Durant over 28.5???

  82. the wet lettuce 9 years ago

Bad day yesterday for most of us guys..cant win them all.

Today i am on Huggybears SS GSW -15(85%) stake.

    15% mad stake.

    Atlanta Ml
    Miami Ml
    Orlando Ml
    Denver Ml
    Janowichz to win
    Baczinszky to win
    Venus to win
    Vandewhenge to win

    £15 pays £690

    GL to us all.

  83. ross 9 years ago

Anyone bet on ufc? Hendo @4.8 seems big. Seen mousasi struggle with wrestlers before.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Yes ross and I think you’re spot on with Hendo. I was on him when he beat Shogun in Brazil!

  84. ross 9 years ago

Bader @3 also interestin. Pretty even match up 2 ex college wrestlers, bader has the knockout power tho.

  85. aj 9 years ago

    Well I’m certainly glad I left the football alone tonight. Just two bets for myself tonight;

    Janowicz to beat Lopez
GSW – 9.5 (huggybears single made slightly safer)

    Double pays 11/10

    Kvitova v Keys

    Over 2.5 sets 15/8

  86. Attila 9 years ago

LOL Trucker – yeah its a good sign when me & huggy are on the same NAP.
Huggy hasn’t mentioned Bulls at all so I’m a bit worried there.
Lots of games today but those 2 just jumped out at me. GSW almost always cover at home, and all the ATS stats are in Bulls favour and against Mavs to cover.

  87. Jordan 9 years ago

£10 Bonkers Bet. You boys influence me too much ;)

    GSW -15.5
    Cavs -10
    OKC +3.5
    Celtics +6.5

    @ 12/1

  88. Jordan 9 years ago

Ty Lawson (Nuggets) arrested on a DUI charge. No word if he’ll play but the Celtics are being steamed on. Taking OKC because Durant will be peeved that he hasn’t got a starting spot in the All Star game. Huggy’s pick on GSW, Cavs because they are starting to look good and Love seems to have shaken his injury.

    • huggybear 9 years ago

yet kobe bryant makes the allstar team and durant doesn`t , what a joke….

  89. Mr Fishman 9 years ago

well backing the underdogs did not work today

  90. Jordan 9 years ago

Kobe out for the season too Huggy!

  91. Jordan 9 years ago

    Cleveland! Whoa!

  92. Jordan 9 years ago

What am I missing here? Cleveland Cavaliers 3rd quarter @ 29/20 @ Willhill. Hornets 4/7? Wtf!?

Cleveland have won both quarters by 15 or more? What is going on there?

  93. Mr Fishman 9 years ago

ffs phi76ers had u at 8/1 so close

  94. mlac 9 years ago

i saw that jordon! i got them @5/4 was tempted to lump on heavily but thought it was too good to be true lol..

they are again 6/5 to win the 4th @365

    im tempted

  95. Jordan 9 years ago

    Cleveland Cavaliers 3rd quarter @ 29/20 @ Willhill **WIN** 28-23

  96. Jordan 9 years ago

NBA (Taking it easy after last nights shockwave still settling)

    Houston Rockets Over (102.5) – 111
    Boston Celtics/Denver Nuggets Over (196.5) – 199
    Chicago Bulls/Dallas Mavericks Over (196.5) – 200

    @ 12/10 @ WillHill **WIN**

Kyle Korver over 12.5 points at 5/6 **LOSE**

£10 Bonkers Bet. You boys influence me too much ;)

    GSW -15.5 – IN PLAY
    Cavs -10 – WIN
    OKC +3.5 – LOST
    Celtics +6.5 – WIN

    @ 12/1 **LOSE**

Hopefully nobody took any notice of my Korver bet. I should stick to the points. Definitely my best strike rate. Cannot believe the odds for the Cavs to win the 3rd quarter. Must have been because they were up by 35 at HT. Oh well a decent night none the less. Hopefully GSW do the job. Only up by 5 at HT.

  97. huggybear 9 years ago

Mate that Korver bet sucked lol…. nailed the points though…

hope all kept the faith after yesterday’s beserk results

O magic blew my fourfold. R well !!!

  98. Attila 9 years ago

And booyah! That’s how you win against the bookies on a revenge day. Thank you Bulls and GSW. I did suggest the Bulls would win outright, did anyone have the guts to rake this?
Damn Coco screwed up my 6 fold tho…Tennis, back to wrecking my Acca’s.

  99. Attila 9 years ago

Great Stuff Huggy mate. I lumped $300 on, just under $600 back. Can rest easy now after getting back yesterdays losses.

  100. leecunliffe 9 years ago

Pro bowl changed last year it used to be nfc v afc and games would be played the week after superbowl with scores going around 90-100 pts as was all about offence with restrictions on what the defence were allowed to do. Changed it last year with the draft pro bowl so will be closer and lower scoring than usual will have look at markets see if anything of interest

  101. ross 9 years ago

Great stuff guys. Warriors ss and then doubled up with bulls got me back everythin from 2 days ago and some!
