Jan 22: Jordan’s Football Tips

JORDAN’S main bet landed as West Brom scored 2+ goals against Sunderland.

His treble was beaten though and he’s now added reasoning for his Sunday double.

Mexico – 1.06am (Sunday)

Leon v Pumas UNAM btts & over 2.5 goals LOSES

(10-11, bet365– 3.3pts

Sevilla to score 2+ (11am)
Monaco to score 2+ (2pm)

Over 1.5 team goals double

(52-50, Coral) – 5pts WINS

Lorient will be the visitors to high-scoring Monaco and will be without top scorer Moukandjo who is at AFCON. Talk of Monaco rotating strikers with their cup semi-final next week but can go top of Ligue 1 with a win after Nice dropped points again and I expect them to do so against a side who have conceded 12 in their last five and 15 in their last five away. Lorient have only picked up 2 points on the road this season and that should continue against Monaco who have been clinical in front of goal.

I’ve doubled the goals up with the early game in La Liga. Bottom feeders Osasuna host Sevilla who will be oozing confidence after beating Real Madrid at home last week and can close the gap again with 3 points. The hosts have yielded 12 in their last five and 12 in their last five at home (3+ against Valencia, Barcelona and Atletico). Sevilla put 4 past Sociedad and 3 past Vigo in their last two road games who are much much better opposition than the hosts who are almost certain for the drop.

Like Shaker I think Chelsea will score a couple against Hull but unfortunately I haven’t sold my soul to the devil so can’t get the price that he has! The same goes for Arsenal as both London clubs will be looking to pounce on the likes of Liverpool, United, Spurs and City all dropping points yesterday. Both are around 1-4 to score twice and the fourfold pays 23-10 at Coral if you fancied a lower stake.

Real Betis v Sporting Gijon (5.30pm)

Weekend has been fairly kind other than last night’s Mexican venture and with one more selection yet to kick off it would be rude to let it slip past. Only one player I think of when it comes to Betis and that’s Ruben Castro. He has 113 goals in 204 appearances and is on a roll with a goal in each of his last last three at home. Betis do have injuries to players such as their next best threat in Joaquin so Castro should carry the load more today. Gijon are rotten as a whole but even worse on their travels and with Betis getting 15 of their 21 points at home this season bet365 have an awful price of 4-6 for the talisman to score. However, William Hill are giving us 23-20 which is excellent value considering his form and opposition.

Ruben Castro (Real Betis) to score

(23-20, William Hill– 2pts

Ruben Castro (Real Betis) Anytime @ 23/20 @ William Hill – 2 points

I did like goals in Sociedad/Vigo but with both sides playing second legs in the Copa del Rey next week, squads could be rotated. More so Vigo where they hold a 2-1 lead over Real Madrid and play at home in the second leg. Sociedad had plenty of attempts against Barca the other night and probably shouldn’t expect to get a result at the Camp Nou next week when they already trail 1-0. This is still an important league game though as only 5 points separate the two, and Sociedad could be in with a shout of a European place if they continue picking up points. They are 5/6 to score a couple but I’d check line-ups first and see if Vela, Willian Jose, Juanmi and Prieto start. Same for Vigo such as Aspas, Bongonda, Wass and Roncaglia.

    Good luck gents.
