MY only bet was a Top Treble last night and all night it looked like it was going to be beaten by no goals at Lincoln.
The non-league side eventually made the breakthrough but I was on btts and anyway AC Milan threw away a 2-0 lead against Bologna to draw 2-2 in 90 minutes.
That was my one punt on a night dominated by knockout ties and it's the same on Wednesday.
Tonight there are three more FA Cup ties – Newcastle v Birmingham, Southampton v Norwich and Plymouth v Liverpool. If they field strong enough teams I'd be happy to be Southampton and Liverpool.
Newcastle have major problems including top scorer Dwight Gayle who is out with a hamstring injury and three at AFCON. If Rafael Benitez goes with kids Birmingham have a chance.
Jurgen Klopp says he'll field a stronger team than the one that drew 0-0 at Anfield and if does Liverpool should win by at least two. Remember they had 80 per cent possession and 28 shots against the League Two men but couldn't convert.
In the Italian Cup it's Sassuolo v Cesena and Lazio v Genoa while in Spanish Cup first legs Alaves travel to second-tier Alorcon and Real Madrid entertain Celta Vigo having lost for the first time in 40 matches at the weekend. Real have named a strong squad and the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start as at the weekend they're home to struggling Malaga.
There are a few other cup clashes to look at and at AFCON hosts Gabon face Burkina Faso in their second match after being surprisingly held 1-1 by Guinea-Bissau.
I tipped Pierre-Emerick Aubeyemang to score in that game. He hit the opener and the Borussia Dortmund goal machine is 7-2 at McBookie to do so again and 7-5 at Coral to net and I can't resist that as a Super Single.
After seeing line-ups I'm on Liverpool -1 and over 2.5 goals at Real Madrid v Celta Vigo as a second Super Single.
I've been looking at Saturday's Scottish Cup card and while there may be one or two shocks I can't see any of the favourites slipping up in the following ties – Aberdeen v Stranraer, Partick v Formartine, Bonnyrigg v Hibs, St Johnstone v Stenhousemuir and Albion Rovers v Celtic (Sunday).
The Bonnyrigg match has been moved to Tynecastle which removes any chance the junior side can repeat their defeat of Dumbarton in the previous round. Rovers' tie with Celtic has also been moved, this time to Airdrie, and again that plays into the hands of the Treble chasers.
All five sides of course are incredibly short but at evens I reckon I'll be doubling my money and putting it up as an advance bet.

Although they currently prop up the table the Central Coast Mariners still average over a goal a game and have scored against Melbourne city in 10 out of 11 matches going all the way back to 2010. 1-0 defeat in 2012. I should say these are Melbourne City’s home stats against the Mariners. 4/6 for btts looks far to good to me and goes straight in as pick number 1 for my acca tomorrow. Disappointed to get back from work and find that both bets flopped. The Ghana vs Uganda game was the offender with only a pathetic three corners awarded in the full 90 minutes. In the Maltese FA Trophy Cup, Premier League leaders Balzan (7/9 league homes YES) entertain 4th placed Valletta FC who have potted in 6 of their 9 away league games this season, and what excites me about this fixture is that Balzan have conceded the most goals (21 so far – that’s at least 5 more than any of the other four top five sides in this league of 12 teams.
Since 2009 Valletta have been losing finalists twice in the FA Trophy Cup and won it twice, most recently in 2014 so it may be fair to expect them to be taking this competition seriously. Balzan were runners up in last year’s final. Virtually all the Scottish teams go full strength in the Scottish Cup because it’s a chance to win money, get into Europe, etc.
It’s still a big deal up here and Celtic are targeting the treble so won’t risk losing.

Liverpool had 18 corners in 0-0 draw at anfield and tonight i can’t see why it should be any different,if jurgen klopp names a stronger side then Plymouth will have no choice but to play for a draw again and sit deep they will,after having 77% possession in the first meeting i can’t see anything different here tonight.
Probably first half corners might be a better option. Liverpool will score at least 3 tonight, but it might be tight the first 30 mins, so I’m going Liverpool over 3 first half corners @ ev and over 4 first half corners @ 21/10 pp
I think it will be as tight as the first leg,plymouth know the best chance they have is playing for a draw and going to penalties,i can’t see three goals in the game personally but thats just my view depending on what team klopp puts out but it won’t be full strength he won’t risk players on a league two pitch,i know coutihno has travelled but wether klopp risks him i don’t know.
For me the choice of subs Klopp had available to him in the first leg weren’t the best. He needed a player of Coutinho’s calibre with quick feet and the ability to beat a man to unlock the deep Plymouth backline. If it’s 0-0 with fifteen to go he might just throw Coutinho on to produce that bit of magic. It’s one of those if Liverpool score early enough it could turn into 3 or 4 and wouldn’t be surprised to see Plymouth start as they played the full game at Anfield.
It’s all down to Liverpool team – I’ll make a decision once I see it.

Olympiakos just sunk my £47 overs 0.5 tmg’s. I held my breath at half time hoping it would be called off, they delayed the 2nd half by 20 mins as it persisted it down in the 1st half, turned it into water polo.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I thought with so many hit balls only travelling half the distance and loads of mistimed tackles, I thought it might warrant a flurry of cards. Their opposition number 7 got a 2nd yellow but to be fair to them , they did have a fair whack at grabbing the points, just a shame the ref never saw sense and abandoned it.

What a truly shocking evening.
