MY only Monday bet was a Malaga goal short of landing while Jordan posted a super 8-5 double.
On a quiet night I went with Braga plus btts at Torino-Milan and Malaga-Sociedad but the Andalusians let me down.
Jordan's double was NAC Breda to score 2+ and Braga to score 2+ and both won 2-0.
There are more games to look at on Tuesday but it doesn't make it an easier card with cup matches dominating.
In the FA Cup there are six replays including Burnley v Sunderland, Crystal Palace v Bolton and Lincoln v Ipswich. I've checked latest news before deciding on a Top Treble and have posted an FA Cup preview.
I may add to the top tips when I see line-ups at places such as Burnley, Barnsley, Palace and Fleetwood.
The Lincoln game is live on BBC 1 and could be the most interesting. A late equaliser earned Ipswich a 2-2 draw at Portman Road and it's a cert Mick McCarthy will play a weakened team. He's won just two out of 13 ties in charge at Ipswich and Lincoln not to lose and both teams score look decent shouts.
Lincoln have netted 31 in the National League to be highest scorers at home and caught out Ipswich with their attacking intent. That element of surprise will have gone but unless Ipswich go full strength they'll be given a test.
Inter v Bologna in the Italian Cup is the biggest match elsewhere and the home men come into this on the back of six wins in a row and eight at home. It's their introduction to the competition this season as one of top seeds and while Bologna are in decent form this should be an Inter win.
Bologna drew 1-1 at the San Siro in the league but that was in the dark days of Frank de Boer in charge. The one concern is they could rest players and there is talk top scorer Mauro Icardi will be benched with £25million Santos signing Gabriel Barbosa making his debut.
In AFCON it's Ghana v Uganda and Mali v Egypt and I'm completing the treble with Egypt draw no bet. It's not been an easy start to the tournament for fans of goals or WDW but Egypt are fancied to go far and enter the tournament in good form with one defeat in 10.
Egypt have better players than their opponents and they'll win if they turn up but bookies make them over evens so I'm keepign the draw with me.

I’ve had a most profitable couple of days! And I never picked any of the winners! Didn’t fancy anything on Sunday, Guru Browning and Philwindy obliged! Didn’t fancy anything on Monday, and Hullshaker and Sir Jordan obliged! ? Cheers guys!
Will certainly look closely at the Ipswich team sheet tomorrow evening! If McCarthy plays certain individuals I’ll be hiding behind the sofa till it’s all over! Please Mick don’t go down that road again, wake up and see the light!
Dutch Eredivisie:
I had a first look at the games of the weekend and snapped up some early odds.
Groningen v Vitesse (Saturday)
Both are attacking sides who are 5th and 6th on the list of most shots per game. Groningen leads the list of most shots conceded per game, so I think there is a big chance we see goals in this game. Groningen always have a goal or two in them and they are at home. Vitesse only failed to score in 2 games all season, away at Ajax and at home to PSV. They only kept 3 clean sheets this season, all against bottom half teams. BTTS is backable @ 1.72, but I will take the odds available for an extra goal.
Over 2.5 match goals @ 1.91 with 888 / unibet
Excelsior v Go Ahead Eagles (Sunday)
A relegation battle in Rotterdam on Sunday. Excelsior can score goals, but can’t defend. They scored 2 and 3 goals against teams like Heracles, Groningen, AZ, Sparta and NEC, but only had 1 clean sheet all season. I can see Eagles conceding 2 or 3. Go Ahead have to start winning games and have nothing to lose. I think we will see an open game which should produce some goals.
Over 2.5 match goals @ 1.91 with 888 / unibet

Bognor v Needham
Met Cops v Billericay

Not one to go mad on but some pretty sound looking prices available for anyone scouting around for potential late night value…
Out of the last 7 H2Hs, these two have both scored in 6 including 3 out of 4 games in 2016!
More recently, both teams have seen BTTS get the green light in 4 of their 5 last competetive games.

Night Owl 1…
CORINTHIANS U20 VS. INTERNACIONAL U20 (22.00 KO):
At times it’s a pointless excercise to attempt to glean information from H2Hs but in other situations, it shouldn’t be ignored.
These two have met 6 times within the calender year 2016 with the following match goals: 5-3-3-1-2-7 – it is also worth noting that in 50% of these games, both teams found the back of the net!
Worth having a look in more detail to see how each side have performed within the 5 tournament games so far below is a list of match goals and team goals for each game, the latter being denoted by brackets:
COR: 6-4-5-5-3 (6-4-3-5-2)
IND: 2-5-4-6-1 (2-5-3-6-1)
So, it’s clear both teams are able to score goals but this one will come down to the sharper defensive set-up – the bookies favour Corinthians but I’ve a feeling that both sides will play a part in what ought to be a cracker!

Btts nvr hapnd in 2nd half either hull mate or ovr 4.5 or 5.5.
Realistically u got 2/5. I was on them.lol..
I thought both teams had scored in the second half just leaving the one away goal mentioned…
Either way, it lost but 2 won.
REALISTICALLY ,I make that 2 out of 4 not the 2 out of 5 you say.
I had 4 selections – not 5.
Remember they are ‘selections to consider’ and I’m not ramming them down anyone’s throat – just giving my thoughts and a bit of reasoning.
The thing is, folk easily pan people’s picks but they are put up for free, and are often heavily researched. The most underrated thing is often not the research itself but the actually game selection that is the crucial part and certainly takes up a lot of my time.
Good luck.
99.99 per cent of people on here appreciate your effort.
I’ll put something up soon but noting much stands out.
I ain’t panning u hull u put up some great stuff and put in a lot of time as do others. I follow ur stuff at times. As fr ramming down throats nobody does that.was only saying cos I bet ur recommendations u can’t claim a goal of full house when u put up 5 RECCOMENDATIONS and 2 out of 5 were winners.level stakes that bet was a loser.
He’s not suggesting level stakes Jim – thats why hullshaker provides the varying number of stars next to his tips. More stars = more confidence = bigger stake. e.g. 5 stars = £5, 1 star = £1. Simples.
That’s true. I’m going to walk the dug before there’s a fight.
He made a mistake – let it go.
HullShaker’s put up so many winners – he doesn’t need interrogated.
Jim, I respect you and life’s too short but for claritys sake, I clearly haven’t claimed a full house (read it again) and it was 2 winners out of 4 selections…not sure where you keep getting this 5th one.
I’m not interested in claiming anything that isn’t a winner but as Liam says, I differentiate bets to indicate confidence so no-one has to follow at level stakes.
Anyway, bored now…good luck everyone.
Hull and I respect u but don’t keep thinking ur always rite.

Cheers Mr F.
Besart Berisha was sent off on the weekend but had it overturned. He has netted six in his last four against the Phoenix including a hat-trick in the 6-1 thumping in October. Marco Rojas scored twice with two assists in that one but Besart will take the penalties which is more likely to happen when you mismatches like this. The Victory have Wellington’s number and even though Krishna returns from suspension they’ll do well to beat a side who are chasing Sydney FC at the top after their draw on the weekend.
Berisha (Melbourne Victory) to score
(7-5, Paddy Power) – 2.5pts
And so it should have been overturned too! Berisha should never have been sent off in the first place. Complete disgrace of a call in that game, which killed off the match.
Best of luck on Berisha. Stuck late at work today, and completely forgot this game was even on…. so i’ll give it a miss for once.

Great tip on a tricky card again today @jordan, quality stuff sir. And cheers for the Brazil pick Hull, nice spot.
No goals in Kuwait cup final yesterday then instead of selecting Breda goals i went for O2.5 match goals, wrong selection but we move on to Tuesday.
I have spotted unfortunate for me a bit of value in the Old Firm U20 match tomorrow. Rangers U20 manager has already said a young side will be fielded and is expecting a couple of Celtic’s first team squad players to have some game time.
Celtic 5/4
Now 1/2
Hello folks.
This morning in Australia sees Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Victory.
Or as the A league’s website says “Berisha v Smeltz” The leagues top and second top scorers in history. Berisha plays for Victory and scored a hat-trik the last time these teams met. It was 6-1 to Melbourn (home). In form scorer and an odds against 10/11 any time. Skybet.
Whilst i was writing this and posting on the old page Jordan has put up Berisha at better odds with PP.
Im grateful as my other post is a mess. And more importantly wrong. So edit and re-post.
Wellington now have a new coach and have only one defeat in their last 6, against third place perth 2-1. They have failed to score once in a 0-0 draw with Adelaide (90 booking points in that one)
The bets.
The temporary lay bet for me is bookings.
I”ll check free kick stats for the first half as that is usually a good indicator as to what will happen in the second half. Plus the odds are always much tastier. Often one first half booking can end in over 60 points due to the reff having had enough and the cards really start flying. Any followers of the league know that reds are also common depending on the reff. ( Kris Griffiths-Jones ) 18 bookings and 2 reds in 4 matches
60+ booking points is only evens as i write this. Red is 2/1 or a second half red is a more apealing 3/1 should you fancy.
Im chasing bigger odds at smaller stakes.
Both Berisha and Smeltz to score is 4/1 1 point
Btts is a poultry 1/2 but Phoenix like an early goal of late so im taking btts in the first half at 11/4
1 point
Due to the above reasoning Victory to win from behind is 9/1 0.5 point
As i said I’ve tried to find some bigger prices for smaller stakes so i know these bets are not everyones cup of tea. Im keeping my eye on the bookings as that is where i will put my main bet should it look right at half time. It may be to late by then but what can i say. Its a gamble. Cards in australia has served me well in the past.
Anyway now have my facts straightened out i hope the write up helps whether you want to try my bets or not. Good luck with tomorrows gambling folks ?
Looking forward to some winners.
What bookie do you normally do your second half bookings with ?
skybet. Over 60 booking points sits at 3/1 just now. Im going in at that. Fingers crossed that happens as nothing else seems to be quite going to plan ?10/3 for a red card
Dissapointing in oz this morning. 1 card short. Nothing else close. Onwards
Cheers ray. i will keep it in mind for future fixtures.
No bother. It seems to be a common occurence. I was guilty of being a touch greedy with Over 60 being my only bet. 45-60 was 9/4 but i was confident O60 would be achieved. 26 first half free kicks and only one booking with a reff for a reputation for cards. Nothing went quite to plan with that match.
O2.5 must be an interesting stat in that league. O2.5 and btts another good un. I’ll have a look and will post later if i like anything for tomorrow’s one.
Had a reccy through today’s card and think there potential mileage in a few of the English lower leagues – I’ll be focusing in on the Northern Premier League and one game in particular…
SKELMERSDALE UNITED VS. BLYTH SPARTANS:
The Spartans take a cross-country trip over the Pennines to Skem and no doubt they’ll be making the journey brimming with confidence.
It’s safe to say Skelmersdale aren’t having the best of seasons; rock-bottom having amassed 16 points from a potential 78 and a goal difference of -31 – they look rooted and have shown no signs of movement.
Not only have they been losing an overwhelming amount of games, but they appear to be increasing the volume of goals conceded as the season goes on: 4-2-3-3-4-0-4-1-3 in their last 9 doesn’t bode well.
What the lads at Skem could do with is a nice, easy knock-about against a team with little to prove or play for then…ahhhh magic.
“Hang on a minute, SH*T!”
Blyth have two games in hand on their nearest rivals and by wnning both, they would extend their lead at the top to 56 Points – 7 clear of 2nd placed Buxton. They also have a g/d of +24; highest in the NP and 55 goals ‘ahead’ of poor old Skem.
In terms of goals scored per game, Blyth are going about their business quietly but efficiently: 2-1-3-1-2-2-2-0-11-2-3-4-7 team goals scored in their last 13 and the 2 big scorelines in Cup competitions.
I can’t see past a Spartans win and you do get the sense that it’s only a matter of time before they absutely muller someone…could it be Skelmersdale…

FC Thun v Aarau 11 am
Friendly so sensible stakes. FC Thun are usually good for a goal or three. Their opposition are from the challenge league; Thun beat the team that finished 2 places below Aarau 4-0 in a recent friendly, and Aarau also conceded 3 against a good challenge league side in another recent friendly. I’d expect Thun to score 2-4 goals and Aarau may manage to chip in themselves. But, anything can happen in a friendly of course! O2.5 odds may be worth backing in play if there’s no early goal.

The vistors never looked like scoring and the phoenix were dominant in the last ten mins and were the only team that looked like scoring creating many chances so i delved in on them t score the second goal at 10/1 which was massive considering the way they were playing, with three mins left injury time i delved back on them t score the third at 16/1

I had a fair amount of success with this type of bet in Euro 2016 and from early viewing it looks good to play in the AFCON. I’m not sure what it is about tournament football (particularly the first round stage) that produces the high amount of first half corners we see but it could be the stronger team’s urgency to score combined with the weaker team’s not to concede. So far there have been three games from six that have seen the magical target of 5 or more first half corners reached with four from six seeing four or more. Both of yesterday’s matches smashed the five corner mark. Below are the significant corner stats:
Burkino Faso vs Cameroon – 4 first half corners
Algeria vs Zimbabwe – 7 first half corners
Ivory Coast vs Togo – 9 first half corners
DR Congo vs Morocco – 7 first half corners
Its also worth noting that Tunisia vs Senegal just fell short with 3 corners but most were attained in the last fifteen minutes of the half. Today’s matches also look good for yielding corners before the interval and considering only two from the six games so far have failed to produce at least four or more, there is a decent chance the target will be hit.
Good luck all
There has been a lot of corners in the games I’ve watched and I’m going to have a go on this myself. Cheers and Good Luck!
Nice one craigyboy, good luck mate
Bullseye I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but for the Ghana game 5+ corners in each half is 5/2. I appreciate you’re relying on corners in both halves but still decent odds.
My favourite bet of a goal in each half and 4+ corners in each half is 7/2…Another cracking price as long as we get the goals as well.
Craigyboy my stance on corners has always been to favour first half ones over 2nd half due to 2nd half tactical changes, substitutions etc but if I was to take the 2nd half I’d probably use the multicorner market because that way some of the work is done for you in the first half. Those are good odds for 5+ in each half but it comes with an element of risk IMO. For example yesterday in DR Congo vs Morocco there were 7 corners before the interval but only 4 after with two of them arriving in the 6th and 7th minutes of injury time. It really boils down to what the scoreline is at any given time I guess. 4+ in each half is more attainable and with the goals in each half that looks a great bet. Good luck today mate.
To be fair I’ve had a scour through the African games and there does seem to be a pattern of more corners first half and less in the second. I’ve yet to find a game where there has been more in the second half. I’m looking at friendlies and qualifiers prior to the tournament as well as the games so far. Maybe in-play betting on the under corner market if theres been a high volume of corners first half may be worth a look at as well.
Afternoon gents
Posted last night my shortlist and have decided to take a WIN double
Qatar v Moldva
Crystal Palace v Bolton
This Qatar team are much improved in recent years and have some notably wins against much stronger footballing nations! They don’t lose many at home at should see off a poor Moldava side
Sam Allerdyce was noticeable irritable in his press conference and as Mr F Called out, has said his players are league one players if they can’t take care of Bolton tonight at Home! He’s still to get grid first win as palace boss and despite a number of absentee’s he’llbbe playing his strongest possible squad! Taking them to win
Qatar / Palace Double 7/5 (NAP)
A number European friendlies this afternoon! Will post if I see anything
Greg, do you think there will be goals in the partick youth game at 2pm then? looking to take over 2.5 goals
Same question too lol
I was looking at O2.5mg in Qatar / O3-3.5mg in partick game,
Pays 2.8/1 @365
Some crazy friendlies to look out for:
17:00KO Gerasdorf Stammersdorf vs. Ebreichsdorf

over 4.5 mg
18:00KO Sturm graz II vs. TUS Heiligenkreuz
over 1.5fhg

Last time I bet on a Turkish game it was half-cooked and ended up with Besiktas letting me down against lower league opposition.
Today, I’m hoping for a bit of Turkish delight though with a Cup game featuring two teams who play 3 tiers seperate to one another…
KONYASPOR VS. KIZILCABÖLÜKSPOR (14.00 KO):
It’s possible that the hardest part of this bet was writing out the team names and I would love to hear the away sides catchy chants…
“Give us a K, give us an I…actually f*ck it…”
Konyaspor sit 8th placed in Turkey’s Super League, 3 tiers above ‘the other team’ who are currently 10th in the 3rd Division equivalent.
The latter haven’t been in great form with some mixed results (majority losses and wins) whilst Konyaspor have hit a series of drawn games after a bit of a purple patch in November and December.
Of note is the previous H2H which the higher ranked team won 0-4 away from home just over a month ago.
You would like to think they can do at least as well on home soil – and three selections to consider:
OVER 3.5 MGS…4/6
????
OVER 4.5 MGS…7/5
??
OVER 5.5 MGS…29/10
?
Good luck ?
I am on it
Looking like an absolute stinker.
It was.
Crap pick and finished miles out… 1-0…sorry kirontotti ?
Thats ok. cheers… eagerly waiting fr ur late owl tips
Hi there!
Long time lurker, first time poster.
As a palace fan just wanted to add a bit of extra info to what is already on here… We are really struggling for confidence and goals at the minute so would be cautious betting on us although if we can’t beat a league one team even with a weakened team then we really are bang in trouble! Also big Sam has confirmed our captain Scott dann will be rested and weve got various absentees that have been reported already. Also MrF just a correction on schlupp, although it’s been widely reported he could make his debut he is actually ineligible as he wasn’t registered for us before the original tie so therefore cannot play in the replay.. And anyway he actually came of the bench against West Ham on Saturday and made his debut anyway! Lol.
Also just a quick thanks to MrF and all the well known regulars.. You all provide invaluable info and tips that has been a massive help with my bets for a long time now. Good luck everyone!!
Cheers – I’ll update the Schlupp news.
Usually when I say debut I mean first start.
Hope Big Sam turns it round for you.
Inter, didn’t mange to post in time
Partick u20 4-0 Killie u20 after 20 mins :(
Hopefully some people managed to get on it after I mentioned it last night
Robbie C – good luck with the Forfar u20 match mate! The SPL development and development 2 are great leagues for goals
Gents – there is a fascinating Live Twitter feed on today on a guy called James Dolemans Twitter page!
He is a legal reporter and is detailing the court proceedings for the Coral case v the punter who put £100 on rangers to be relegated in 2012 at 2500/1
Worth a read
I hope he wins his case but can’t see how he can.
Rangers weren’t relegated – they were liquidated.
We all know the history. I suppose it depends on how Judge defines the word relegation.
Thought he was an ordinary punter but turns outs he’s an ex-bookie so must have known what he was doing.
Been following updates myself out of interest. Now Coral have delved into his work history. I think they may have started to swing things in there favour. States that the company Coral made £604 million and it naffs me off that they dig so deep to try and protect what is a small chunk of there company profits. PAY THE MAN!
Fair play to the guy for having the cojones to go after them, then again who wouldnt with a mouthwatering £250k on the line.
If he loses it will cost him a few quid in legal fees but he doesn’t seem an “average” punter.
However, his background shouldn’t go against him. Either it’s a winner or it’s a loser.
Make up your own mind but Rangers weren’t relegated.
Quick write-up for anyone fancying a go at the Icelandic Cup game kicking off at 18.15…
HK VS. NJARDVÍK:
Four of HK’s last six games saw 4+ match goals with the same number of game featuring BTTS.
Whilst only 5 of Njardvik’s last 11 saw Over 3.5, in 8 of their last 11, both teams found the back of the net.
H2Hs stretch back over recent seasons but at least give a flavour as to how the teams fare against one another: 5 of the last 7 hit ‘4 or more’ with the same number for BTTS.
Both teams are operating at roughly the same standard as they have done in previous years and based on that and the above stats, three reasonable bets could be:
OVER 3.5 MGS…3/4
???
HK win & BTTS…5/4
??
BTTS 1ST HALF…9/4
?
I might have a go at low stakes but it’s there for a guide more than anything.
Tonight:
Leiston v Canvey Island BTTS and overs (pays 8/13)
Tonbridge Angels DNB
Double pays 93/100 – NAP
Leiston and Over 3.5 mgls 11/10
Leiston have scored a barrel-load of late – no time for a full write up but 4-6-5-1-3-5-3-1-5 goals over recent matches. I can’t see this changing gainst an average Canvey Island team, although they are certainly capable of grabbing a goal. GL all.

Last one for tonight’s domestic games – have no time just prior to KO as will be swamped with kids’ bedtimes/Mrs Hull bending my ear about something I’ll have done wrong ?
The Lower Leagues feature plenty of games tonight and I’ve shortlisted two – both real glamour ties…but joking aside, all 4 teams are absolute magnets for goals and I’ve listed recent match goals totals for each:
PRESCOT CABLES VS. AFC LIVERPOOL:
PC: 5-4-6-6-9-3-2-3
LAFC: 6-2–7-5-11- 9-3-7
TADCASTER ALBION VS. SL AQUAFORCE:
TA: 0-5-3-6-5-5-3-4
SLA: 1-6-4-3-2-6-3-5-6
Could be used in any way or to add to accas, etc but I’m outting both in a (hopefully) straightfoward double.
OVER 2.5 MGS DOUBLE…TOUCH UNDER EVENS

With them goal figures i’ll have an overs bet all day long. Added Blyth ht/ft to your double to give me a nice looking treble @ 3.3/1 b365.
Shaker.
You have a Mrs ??.
Maybe she is bending your ear as she thinks you are now married to Mr fixits website !
She might name Mr fixit as the other person in divorce proceedings. Lol
Maybe its about the state of the art caravan holiday in prestatyn you promised her.
I’ve seen skem play this season and they are not that bad, its just that they keep conceding more than the opposition, so Blyth should have no excuse for not netting at least twice with skem maybe getting a late consolation in a 3 or 4-1 defeat.
Good luck
Indeed I do Elvis….poor woman!
I don’t do Facebook, Twitter, Social Media and general internet shenanigans but I admit that Mr Fixit (the site not the man ?) is my guilty pleasure.
I like it, I like football, I like the research and reasoning and I like the banter.
Good luck with all bets sir and FYI, I just heard on the radio that 70% of the UK still think Elvis is alive…not sure whether they meant ‘The King’ or you?
I left my wife for Mr fixits site ages ago. Only kidding mrs p.
The other Elvis is dead and I’m very much alive and living in the ghetto of Bangor.
Say hi to Mrs shaker bud.
@hullshaker I’ll be following this and your Icelandic tips but don’t you dare be claiming nearly the full house again GOT IT ??? ?
i’ll add blyth&leiston to that for a 3/1 fourfold?
that over 2.5mgls with the two above mentioned?
happy days????

Another snore fest in the AFCON! Pitch is atrocious and some more frustrating refereeing!
AFCON is turning into a bookies dream. No money to be made in this tournament. Standard of pitches – awful. Standard of football – awful. Standard of refereeing – awful.
So painful to watch. There’s some decent players on that field and they’re just content to stroll about, don’t know why they clamber to leave their clubs to participate in it.

I’m staying loyal to my favoured bets:
Lincoln v Ipswich
Request a bet:

This would have landed in the first leg, should be a great atmosphere, a lot of panic in both defences and looks a top top bet.

Mali vs Egypt
For me, Egypt should win this comfortably. They have by far both the better record and the better players heading into the tournament. One of the stand outs is Salah who has been in decent form for Roma this year, but my pick for a goal is Kahraba who plays in the Saudi league and has bagged 12 goals in his last 13 games. He is 11/4 for anytime goal scorer and 7/1 first goal scorer.
NAP – Egypt win @ EVS
NB – Kahraba ATGS @ 11/4
NNB – Kahraba FGS @ 7/1

The Night Owl sees me back over in Brasil but with a change of scene away from the Sao Paulo Youth Tournament…
HORIZONTE VS. UNICLINIC (23.20 KO):
Here, we have Leg 1 Stage 1 of the ‘Campeonato Cearense’ – basically a regional (Cearense region) tournament which is broken down into Legs and Stages.
This initial Stage sees 10 teams from the region play each other on a round-robin basis before the Top 4 play-off to reach Stage 3.
So far Horizonte have lost their first game 3-1 whilst Uniclinic played out a 1-1 draw.
H2Hs are totally redundant and whilst we can discount them, it’s worth looking at recent domestic form for each side which takes us back to October and offers a bit of a heads-up!
Horizonte’s picture is a mixed one but BTTS stands out with 9 out of 14 or 3 out their last 4 games getting the nod with 5 of the last 7 seeing Over 3.5 MGS.
Uniclinic (who sound like they might be sponsored by Anusol or Tampax) have a recent picture dominated by draws but again, BTTS features fairly regularly with 5 of the last 7 fitting the criteria whilst 4 of their last 6 games also saw ‘4 or more’ goals.
Four selections to consider with 3 fairly reasonable bets and one complete longshot:
