LAST Saturday I failed to land a winner and today I’m hoping for better, with first stop the Dutch league on its return from the winter break.
Zwolle host Heerenveen in a mid-table battle where goals should flow. Four of Zwolle’s last six game have seen both teams score and for Heerenveen it’s the same stat. Heerenveen’s previous three trips to Zwolle have also seen btts land.
In Italy, Torino hope the return of prodigal son Ciro Immobile on loan from Dortmund can end their four-game losing streak when strugglers Frosinone come to town.
Torinho have netted just once in four games but can hit the net against Serie A’s leakiest defence. However, Frosinone have an admirable attacking philosophy – eight of their last 10 matches have seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals – and are capable of breaching the Torino defence.
Complete the treble with Ajaccio v Reims in the French top flight. Just four points separate them at the wrong end of the table and promoted Ajaccio have seen both teams score in five of their last six league outings while for Reims btts has landed in seven of their last eight.
French leaders PSG can net two or more away to third-bottom Toulouse and Villarreal should do the same at home to a Betis side who’ve lost five in a row and are winless in nine.
I also like free-scoring Vitesse to bag a couple at Cambuur in the Dutch top flight, a feat they’ve achieved in the past five meetings.
Both teams to score treble
Torino v Frosinone (5pm)
Zwolle v Heerenveen (6.45pm)
Ajaccio v Reims (7pm)
PSG to score 2+ (4pm)
Vitesse to score 2+ (5.30pm)
Villarreal to score 2+ (7.30pm)
