GREAT to see the fans posting’system up and running – can’t beat hearing and reading the thoughts of loyal club supporters about their own team's chances.
I’m leaving the bright lights and overpaid players of the EPL far behind and heading for the relative but comforting poverty of the Paraguayan Professional Division.
GENERAL DÍAZ VS. SPORTIVO LUQUEÑO (10.30pm)
Luqueno may well be the better side here and their second-top standing reflects that in comparison to Diaz’s second bottom.
I wouldn’t underestimate the hosts' ability to grind something out – they may only have 2 points on the board but have seen out a large proportion of their games via draws – score draws to be precise.
Five of their last six games in all competitions have finished 1-1 and although that may be put down to pure chance I’d be inclined to say it is as much a reflection of their style of play … worth noting two of the last eight H2Hss finished with that exact scoreline!
Diaz have failed to score only once in their last 15 games and with Luqueno on form having scored 2-4-3-2 team goals on their last 4 away days, I’d say there is a fair chance of goals for both sides – something that has got the green light in 70 per cent of the last 10 H2Hs.
