Sunday's Super Single was a disappointing loser but for many savvy punters it would have been a winner. When Augsburg led Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 that was the time to cover but I was in the car on the way to office and couldn't advise it.
I said at the start of the month I'd include cover bets in my figures but only if I put up the advice – and so far it hasn't happened so we have a 5pts actual profit.
At least the 3pt Top Treble won yesterday at 2-1 although we were made to wait. I started with Fiorentina in the early game, added Dundee Utd at lunchtime and the line came in late at night as Barcelona battered Athletic Bilbao 5-2.
Monday's big game is Lazio v Genoa in Serie A while Elche entertain Rayo Vallecano in La Liga. There is Ligue 2 action between Nancy and Brest and plenty of Jupiler League matches including Jong Ajax v Achilles and Roda v Volendam.
The only game in England is in League One with Bradford facing MK Dons and having looked at the main games I've decided it's not an easy night but will put up a double as the Super Single.
MK Dons can top of League One with a win and I'd be backing them if it wasn't for reports of a terrible pitch at Bradford. The home men could be weary after a tough run of games and of course will have one eye on their weekend FA Cup clash against Sunderland.
MK have a bigger squad and will be able to make changes without weakening the side too much. They are a best 29-20 at BetVictor and William Hill to win but on a double I'm happy to go with 7-10 draw no bet.
I'm not copying long-shot Lee but stats point to both to score at Lazio-Genoa. Lazio have netted in five of their last six – four of which have gone over 2.5 goals – while both have netted in Genoa's previous six.
A Lazio home win looks a bit short so let's hope Genoa get the goal they usually do.
Elsewhere I thought about Brest draw no bet at 11-8 away to Nancy with William Hill and while it still looks a draw the visitors are without their two top scorers.
Elche sit at the foot of La Liga and have a poor home record so I'd edge towards Rayo but not with enough confidence to put money on them.
Normally on a quiet Monday I'd look at the Dutch lower-league games for goals but schools are off so no time for research I'm afraid.

Guys I am after a bit of help please.
A friendly game played Sunday in Norway between Alta v Tromsdalen, I had a bet on over first half goals, with bet365 the game disappeared at around 32mins, i had a look round the net for live score update and found a website which was just a red screen with the live score.
Fun thing is it stated this game was being played over 3 30min periods, never heard of this before and if its correct then I would have thought the bet was void. the game finished 1-4.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

If your going to come on here moaning because the bet didn’t win its your choice to place the bet and up to you if you cover. Don’t moan after the event, I’m sure you wouldn’t moan had Augsburg held on.

Will, Mr Fixit was merely commenting that there was ample opportunity to cover Augsburg yesterday, and sensible punters shouldnt need Mr Fixit holding their hand advising when that moment is.
Unfortunately, as he was driving he was unable to advise anyway, so has therefore included Augsburg as a super single loser which is exactly how he described his approach at the beginning of the month.
I see nothing confusing about this mate, I would suggest you read his post carefully and ensure you understand it before you post. If not you run the risk of looking a little silly really.

Chomp, thanks for clearing that up. As you say I didn’t cover and wasn’t able to advise cover. However, anyone who was keeping tabs of the game would have covered at 2-0 I assume. I’m not about 24/7 and 4 days a week I work on the Record so rarely visit the site during those shifts.
All, I managed to get a tenner up to £45.02 yesterday with Fiorentina scoring twice, Valencia to score and Barca to score their 3rd before the 80th minute.
Going to keep rolling this stake over and will post my next bets here for anyone that’s interested.

I know i am 24 hours early but looking at 2moro card we have Luton town evens at Bet Victor to beat York. Luton have an incredible home record and havent lost a league game since September at home, York on the other hand are only being kept of the bottom by Jeff Sterling’s Hartlepool and have not won a league game this year.

Just my 2 pennies worth – and this certainly isn’t aiming anything at anyone – but I think anyone worth their salt should know when to cover. Yes, Augsburg drew, but at 2-0 anyone with the ability to cover should have seriously considered it given Frankfurt’s ability to score goals this season. BTTS was always a very likely shout (I had Augsburg to win/BTTS and covered at 2-1) and I don’t think anyone needs to tell you to cover.
Just seen a couple of comments aimed at Mr F regarding that and as he said, he wasn’t in a position to be able to cover. In play lay bets are vital IMO and for the SS to be 2-0 up and then complain about Mr F not telling you to cover (even though he clearly wasn’t able to get on the site at the time), well then that’s pretty amateur in my book. Not a personal comment aimed at anyone, just my thoughts and if you refuse to cover bets then that’s fair enough, but for me this example emphasises the value of in play cover bets.
Neil, if you had a decent single on Augsburg you had to consider covering at 2-0 – unfortunately as I said I couldn’t do it. I’ve banged on about covering bets long enough for people to know they should at least check their options. I respect anyone who doesn’t want to cover but I will always do it if it’s cheap and seems be the right decision. On Friday when Standard Liege led 3-0 with the Super Single being Standard -1 I advised not to cover and last Sunday when the SS was Celtic -1 against Rangers I chose not to cover as I couldn’t see Rangers scoring. So every bet is different but the option has to be explored.

It is just the one bet for me tonight on the tv game, and I like both teams to score 5/6 Betvictor. I was thinking of taking Bradford who have won the last four meetings between these sides, but with a cup game at the weekend and their first choice keeper was sent off at the weekend, it is a little risky for me.
As I said I like both teams to score here, Bradford won the reverse fixture 2-1 and have score in 15 of their 18 home games this season, including scoring in their last 9 home games in a row. (They also scored 4 past Chelsea recently)

Can see both sides of the “Cover” debate. Not that it is a debate as anyone with an interest in taking money from Bookmakers should be thinking about making timely small cover bets.
However I do think cover bets (or essentially trading as that is what you are doing) are a completely separate entity from Tipping. If someone is tipping an outcome then it should be deemed either a winner or a loser for the purposes of a tipping site, depending on the result. Mr f i need some help as i posted earlier about the dutch games/goals….9 out of my 10 teams won but i was let down by one goal…thats fine but the cash out option wasnt available because one game was pending but this game had won on my bet it eventually showed up about 1 minute after they said my bet lost..i find this very bad that there was no cash out option when every man and his dog can see the scores but the actual betting site…sorry for going on very annoyed as you could imagine do you think i have a valid point??
