I'M back in the land of the living after Saturday's flying visit to London.
Highlight of the day was seeing William Hill guest Martin Keown squirm as Liverpool raced 4-0 in front of Arsenal with live streaming of the game shown all over the betting convention in Earl's Court.
I'm not going to dwell on Saturday's results – they were bad and that's the way it goes sometimes.
I was surrounded by bookies and gaming chiefs yesterday and knew we punters were in trouble when the final whistle sounded at Carrow Road and the champagne corks started popping. Even Keown sitting on the Willie Hill stand cracked a smile – but maybe that's because the Gunners' humiliation was final over.
Let's hope for a better Sunday with some massive games. I don't think Roma will lose the derby with Lazio but it's not a safe bet with their opponents of course unbeaten in five since Edy Reja took charge.
There have been a few comments about a red card in six of the last eight meetings and that could be a sensible play.
In France the big game is Monaco v PSG and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score is the bet that interests me. Again picking a winner isn't easy so I'm focusing on other games.
Man Utd should beat comfortably beat Fulham at home and I like the look of Robin van Persie to score first at 5-2. In fact I like it so much that's the Super Single – and anyone who doesn't like should leave it out instead of having a moan later.
Alternatively they could try the double at just over evens. Serie A leaders Juventus should win at a Verona side who ended a run of three defeats by sinking Sassuolo and Real Sociedad can continue their sparkling home from by dumping Levante.
Real have lost their last two at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid but at home have hit 23 goals in six outings. Levante have won just one in eight away and went down 5-1 at Barcelona in midweek. Both have scored in the last four meetings in Sociedad.
Unlike Oxford yesterday this one can't be covered and the Dutchman is too short just to score after netting in both games since his comeback from injury..
Last night I posted a btts line without reasoning – the stats stand up for all four games so hopefully at least three will come in.

I landed my NB yesterday with a 13/8 winner on Valencia v Betis over 3.5 goals. Unfortunately Carlisle fell just short despite having many many chances. The double was downed by only 2 goals in the German game and Orient only scoring once. Never mind, onto Sunday!

For those who saw my preview on yesterday’s thread, it looks like a belter could happen tomorrow and although I pointed out the potential for over 2.5 goals, there’s potential for something even more lucrative. Sivasspor have scored 2 or more times in 8 of their 10 matches. Fenerbache may be top of the table by a good margin, but they’ve lost their last 2 away matches 2-1 and conceded 2 or more in 5 of their 9 away matches. Sivasspor have scored twice in the previous 2 meetings between the sides and when you look at the price for Sivasspor to score or more at 7/4, this looks a really good value bet. So good, I’m making it my NAP.
NB: MACCABI TEL AVIV V HAPOEL BE’ER SHEVA 6:50pm
This is a battle between the top two in Israel and I’m expecting bundles of goals here. 6 of Maccabi’s 9 home matches have gone over 2.5 and the same with Be’er Sheva’s 9 away matches. When you look at the H2H, it shows that each of the last 5 have gone over 2.5 goals and the reverse fixture this season ended 3-2. Over 2.5 goals pays 17/20 and it looks like a really good value bet.
DOUBLE:
For the first part of the double, take Schalke to score 2 or more goals at home to Hannover. Schalke have scored 2 or more goals in 7 of their 9 home matches. Hannover have conceded 2 or more in 7 of their 9 away matches. Add into this that Schalke have score 2 or more in each of the last 5 H2H matches, it looks a good bet at 1/2. For the second half, go back to Turkey for over 2.5 goals in the Sivasspor v Fenerbache game. 7 of Sivasspor’s 10 home matches have gone over 2.5 including each of the last 5. Fenerbache have seen 8 of their 9 away matches go over. As mentioned earlier, the reverse fixture ended 5-2 to Fenerbache and over 2.5 goals at 7/10 looks good value. The double pays 1.55/1.

Nothing really stood out in the Normal Markets except that Tottenham is unbeaten in the Last Five Meetings at home against Everton. However, Everton have the most draws in the League this Season. Tottenham Double Chance is an Option but the odds are pretty short and the Draw is also an option but I tend to avoid them. This lead me to other markets and I found an interesting one. Everton – NO Goal Scored Before 61:00. This Season away from home in the League, Everton have only scored 2 Goals before the 60th Minute. 12 of the 14 Goals they’ve scored away from home this Season have come after the 60 minute. I really like the look of this stat and the price isn’t too bad either.

Just a different take on the ss, today I put £20 on Oxford at 21/10 poss returns £62, at 80 minutes in, it was only 0-1 so not a cert win, so my options are hold out for £62 take £50 with cash out, cover the draw or lose.
At that point my choice was cash out with £20 on a guaranteed 6/4 winner.
The last 3 Saturday ss have all made money if you are not greedy, and used the betting options open to you. profit is profit.

WTF, I’ve been saying for months – as long as the team I pick for the Super Single takes the lead you should profit. On the last three Saturdays Scunthorpe, Derby and Oxford have conceded late equalisers so money to be made. I can guarantee one thing about next weekend’s Super Single – it won’t be an away.

Trabzonspor over 1.5 team goals @ 4/5
Trabzonspor’s league position is reliant on their home record. The Turkish league can be hard to predict but I like Trabzonspor at home, where they are undefeated, so I can see them scoring at least twice and I like the price as well.
Porto over 2.5 team goals @ 1/1
Benfica scored 3 at home to Pacos, Sporting scored 4 at home to Pacos, and I think Porto, who have the best home record in the league, will be able to score a similar amount against them.
Dundee United over 1.5 team goals @ 8/11.
Dundee United have not won in 7 games, but only 2 of them were at home, my opinion is that Jackie MacNamara will have his side motivated to take control of St Mirren who have conceded at least twice in 7 of their last 8 away games. Gauld, Ciftci and Mackay-Steven should all be available and I don’t think any side in Scotland can keep them out when they turn on the style.
Real Sociedad over 1.5 team goals @ 8/15
It would be hard to back against Sociedad considering their home form (20 goals in 5 league games), Levante are a tricky side, but Real’s quality and need to keep up with the CL spots should be enough for them to hit a few in.

I don’t know a great deal about Scottish football but I’m taken advice from an earlier post about Dundee Utd being too strong if a certain trio are on song. Of course, I’ve looked at the previous meetings and there has been goals and at 27/10 (btts and win) then I’m all over it.
FC Koln are sitting top of 2. Bundesliga and have netted 32 goals in 19 games which isn’t amazing but my theory being is that they need to continue winning. Paderborn are situated in 8th and have netted 11 times in their last 12 games (including club friendlies)
I, like most, think Juventus will see off Verona. Buffon is back in goal and Antonio Conte has a full squad to choose from. Luca Toni of Verona has netted 11 goals this season and looks likely to add one more in this game given the opportunity.
Sivasspor v Fenerbahce – Alex brought this to my attention and yes the stats look fantastic so is a coupon builder.
Rooney – He will be pressing forward more now that Mata is in the team and I can see them unleashing some heavy artillery on a dreadful Fulham side who couldn’t net in 180 plus minutes against Sheffield Utd.

First tip for me today is in Germany second division.
Karlsruher continues with their incredible performance recently, which is heading them really close from the top places in the Second Bundesliga and it looks like they will be able to fight for promotion in the second part of the campaign. The team is unbeaten in the really impressive nine straight league games now, having won five of them and having collected a whole nineteen points (5-4-0), so really they have turned out to be one of the most reliable sides in the whole league in the last two months before the winter break. With this really good run Karlsruher had managed to climb up to fourth place in the ranks, with the same amount of points with third Kaiserslautern, as the third place gives a playoff place, as well as just four points behind the second position and the direct promotion, so really if they manages to start 2014, just like they had ended 2013, good things are coming for them. The team is also unbeaten at home in five straight Bundesliga matches, having collected eleven points in them (3-2-0), as in them they had managed to score eleven goals, which for a hard league like Second Bundesliga is a really nice stats. Ingolstadt is on the opposite side of the ranking right now and the second part of the campaign will be really hard for them in the fight against relegation. With a whole ten defeats in just nineteen games and with just twenty one points collected so far (6-3-10), they are on fifteenth position, but with the same points as sixteenth in the ranks (playout place), as well as the seventeenth (direct relegation) and definitely this weekend against the team in best shapes in the last two months before the break, I can’t see much chances for the visitors.
Only caution I have its coming after a winter break and never no how teams come back. But odds of evens worth a small punt

What I do, you see, is randomly select games from a BIIIIIIIIIG list and then make up a load of statistics about goals, corners, average height and weight of the players as well as the salary of the kitman. THEN, and this is the kicker, I spend a couple of hours writing it all up JUST FOR A LAUGH to deliberately lose money! Can you believe that?! I’m some sort of dope…

Next up is Shake at home
Just one loss in nine has seen Schalke (10-4-5) move into the Champions league places in Bundesliga, and one of the form teams in the league. Home form is good (6-1-2) and have beaten Hannover in ten of the last twelve meetings played here. Hannover (7-3-9) have won their last two games, including a first away win in nine played (the other eight were defeats). Fuchs(def), Hoger, Draxler and Aogo(mid) are out injured for Schalke, while Cherundolo, Pander(def), Sobiech and Ya Konan(str) are out for Hannover.
Schalke at 1.62 looks a big price on the 1X2 market, and look one of the best bets of the weekend. Schalke are flying at present, and sub 1.50 quotes were what I expected for a home win. Against a side with an away record of (1-0-8) this season it rates a banker, and the unexpected bonus of the better odds quoted can put the icing on the cake. Take these odds fast though at WilliamHill as I cannot see them lasting.

Also for goalscorer bets look at Kevin Prince Boateng at 2.30 to score anytime is a bet to strike. Following a lean spell by his own high standards, Boateng found the net in last weeks win taking his goal tally to six in fourteen for Schalke since his arrival from Milan. The Ghana born midfielder is a player who performs best when confidence is high, and with the team in great form, and him back amongst the goals, I reckon he will strike again in this one.

They don’t do it on the app. The best you’ll get pre-match there is race to 2 goals. I think over team goals will sometimes come up in play on the all but I normally use bet365 for in-play gambles. I’ve heard that they do that market pre-match on the website but I don’t use it so don’t know. May be worth having a hunt around!

Morning all, hope Sunday is a better day. I like the over 2.5 g market, only Nuremberg let me down yesterday for a 7fold which included Liverpool,psv,werder b,Salzburg,Basel and feyernoord. I do small stakes, but the acc can give decent profit. I tend to look at the games and only study the ones I feel there’s goals in. That’s the way I do it.

Today I am going for a trio of wins in the Dundee Utd/St Mirren game with over 2.5 first half goals at 6/1.
It’s risky but there are usually goals when these two teams meet and the added spice of a cup tie should mean they are both going for it.

Both teams could use the points to move out of the relegation zone. Elazigspor has very good home run with winning last 3 games in the league and won against Galatasaray in a cup game. Away team have only scored once in last 3 away games (5-1 at fernerbache). They have been terrible away and got 2 draws and 7 losses in their last 9 games.

Not part of the challenge but a bet that I like the look of and the stats look promising. I’ll be on for the Schalke game. Head to head there has been over 2.5 goals in the last 5 games between the two, averaging over 4.5 goals. At home Schalke have only failed to score once all season and that was against Munich. If stats are anything to go by, theres a great chance of a home win. If that happens I’m hoping Palacio will bag a goal.

Cooldude, Daniele De Rossi is the Roma vice captain. A roman boy and one of the best defenders cdms in europe imo…a real tough nut but great at hard precise tackles. He wont leave Roma though, too much in love with his home town. Long winter summer for Man Utd this year i think.

Danny T, I’ve not seen the goal you are talking about. All I can say is bookies pay out on what the official arbiter says and not any dubious goals panel. If they paid out on goals panels they’d need to withhold payments on first and scorers and anytime scorers on EVERY goal until it was established if there was any need to go the panel.

However, you should contact them without being aggressive and ask if traders could look at the tapes and consider paying you on Sanchez as a goodwill gesture. I then asked him to review the tapes he said he did and then he said there was no deflection at all. I said there was a clear deflection and he ended the chat . I copied the chat and saved it as it clearly was a deflection but I feel it’s not worth perusing

I’ve watched it and there is a clear deflection so he’s simply lying which is a shame. Also the commentator and summariser clearly say there’s a clear deflection.
