LAST night was great thanks to Matt McClure – tonight was going to be relying on Paddy Madden.

They sound like a couple of croones but are actually hotshot strikers playing for unsung Wycombe and Yeovil.

McClure landed me two 7-2 winners on Monday and I hoped Yeovil would make it another good night by winning at Oldham but that game is off, as is Sheffield Utd v Crawley.

Port Vale lead my top treble and I'm Coventry and now Cliftonville, tipped up here, with Yeovil off. I've given my English football reasoning elsewhere so won't go over it again.

There aren't too many games tonight but several look good for both teams to score including Scunthorpe v Portsmouth, Stevenage v Notts County, Cheltenham v Bristol Rovers and the French Ligue 2 clash between promotion chasers Guingamp and Angers that kicks off earlier at 5pm.

Top Treble

Port Vale

Coventry

Cliftonville

Pays a biggest £43.90 to a £10 stake at William Hill

Super Single

Colchester
(17-5, Betvictor)

Both teams to score

Scunthorpe v Portsmouth

Stevenage v Notts County

Cheltenham v Bristol Rovers

Guingamp v Angers (5pm)

Fourfold pays a biggest £77.90 to a £10 stake at bet365

Can you take Madden to score- yeovil to win- portvale and coventry all on the one bet?

    • Milesey 11 years ago

No, if your doing a scorer you have to take a scorecast to do a double or multiple bets.

      Milesey

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Belle, as Milesey says they won’t accept this bet because it’s a related contigency but as Craig says you can do the Madden/Yeovil wincast plus Port Vale and Coventry as a treble.

  2. Milesey 11 years ago

Do the 3 teams in a treble.

and take the scorer in a single, either first goal scorer or anytime, whatever it is your doing.

  3. DAN WALDREN 11 years ago

I’m going for Sheff Utd, Port Vale, Scunthorpe and Cheltenham to win.

  4. John 11 years ago

Good to see your on Madden, as am i, he’s bang on form so lets hope it continues

    • Milesey 11 years ago

John Madden ? he don’t play anymore does he ?

Born in 1936 if i remember my history, one of the all time greats of American football, always loved his game on the megadrive, was always terrible though when you got the snow and ice !

      Milesey

  5. Craig alves 11 years ago

madden anytime yeovil win is 7/2 wi paddypower, it’s under wincast bets. don’t know if you can do it in treble tho

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Craig, no reason why you can’t put this in a treble.

  6. Milesey 11 years ago

    SOMEMOTHERSDOHAVEEM nice e/w there ;)

sorry Mr F, posting the wrong sh*t on the wrong thread hahaha

      Milesey.

  7. Brian H 11 years ago

I’ll be adding Cliftonville and Crusaders too your top treble. What about Swindon away? Short on players but the main stars are available

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Brian, I’ve covered Swindon in my English football betting piece. I wouldn’t touch them with 13 players against a Colchester side starting to play well. I know what you’re saying about the main starts being available but eventually limited resources will come back and bite you. Plus all sorts of other things going on at the club and Di Canio raging too.

  8. Paulo 11 years ago

    Yeovil
    Cliftonville
    Port Vale
Coventry all to win £5 returns £55.94 Hills

  9. Craig23_50 11 years ago

No wonder its hard to get a bet up these days with all this match fixing going on any chance chance of u pulling a few strings tonight Mr F and fixing a few games I’m going to do Mr Fs both teams to score and treble good luck everyone :-)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Craig23-50, only game I’d fix is the Bankies. I’d give the ref a tenner a penalty and watch us win the league.

    • Craig23_50 11 years ago

      Lol Mr F

  15. Don 11 years ago

Just seen that the Pacos game was finished at 5! Managed to win in the end as well.

I’ve changed my mind, I don’t want my bet voided anymore! :D

    • Guido 11 years ago

haha..know what ya mean Don. Best not be too greedy tho!:-)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Don, I think most bookies rules say it runs if it’s resumed withint 24 hours but I believe Hills voided going by their rules. Good result in the end though.

  16. ellis 11 years ago

Hi Paul, obviously I know a bets never a guaremtee but how confident are you on the Treble and single tonight. Bit low on funds that’s all

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ellis, I’ve missed kick-off so sorry about that. Again I don’t have much to add to my write-ups. I’m on both but as you say there are no guarantees.

  17. Don 11 years ago

Going to play safe tonight and try to keep this little run going.

    Cheltenham v Bristol – Bristol +0.5 @1.89
    Colchester v Swindon – Colchester +0.5 @1.87

My bookie doesn’t offer DNB or Double chance, so I can cover the draws that way.

  18. Guido 11 years ago

Colchester 14/5 Leyton Orient 23/20 and Coventry 5/6 doubles n treble

  19. madi 11 years ago

was on madden anytime scorer but as the game is called off i looked at tom pope anytime scorer and hes only 1/2

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Madi, that’s what you get with a first goal favourite playing for a team who are expected to win. Pope can tell his pals he’s got something in common with Messi.

  20. Kenny B 11 years ago

    btts line ..

    cheltenham,stevenage,leyton O,coventry, and Scunny !

    17/1

    best of luck

  21. Badham 11 years ago

Paul how backable do you think Colchester are tonight? Highly or are ur purse strings just loose because the big win last night?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Badham, just in so missed kick off. Don’t really have anything to add to what I said in write-up. Colchester improving and Swindon short of bodies. Draw no bet would be a safer option but I’ve put small stakes on Colchester, nothing compared to what I was prepared to put on Yeovil of their game had gone ahead.

  22. Madi 11 years ago

Anytime not first goal. Think it was 3/1 for first goal Tom pipe. Lee Hughes just for the first goal

  23. Madi 11 years ago

    *pope

  24. Knottsy 11 years ago

Paul u think Strachan will start with Rhodes or Fletcher? Surely has to go with 2 up top. Maybe even both or 1 of them with Miller? I think we’re over priced tomorrow @ 4/7. I know its a friendly but Strachan in his first game will treat it seriously. Gonna lump on scots and also have a touch on -1.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

I’ve tipped Scotland and Scotland -1 in my Daily Record column tomorrow. Hoping for a steer on who he’ll start tonight but I’d imagine the pecking order just now is Fletcher, Rhodes, Miller. It would be good to see Fletcher and Rhodes up front but not sure about Strachan’s formation.

  25. Badham 11 years ago

Thanks Paul went with DNB anyway in the end that and port vale double, read the other page the English football and all the answers were there.

    Thanks

  26. Knottsy 11 years ago

Ok thanx paul. Great minds think alike eh?
Milesey your England U21 bet in the bag already!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Knottsy, are we just fools backing Scotland?

  27. Knottsy 11 years ago

Haha i know what your sayin paul but while we dont have a great team we have some decent players. If Strachan can bring the fire back we will have too much for Estonia, especially at Hampden. As i said 4/7 is too big to miss.

  28. Craig alves 11 years ago

France XI to face #Germany tomorrow: Lloris – Sagna, Koscielny, Sakho, Evra – Cabaye, Matuidi – Sissoko, Valbuena, Ribery – Benzema.
also knottsy the games up in Aberdeen tomorrow for aome reason but Scotland should still win, Miller defo won’t start so hopefully plays 2 upfront

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Craig, that’s a strong side and you have to fancy France with Germany severely depleted. France were the Super Single I sent with my Record piece for tomorrow. Scotland game’s at Aberdeen because Hampden would have looked empty.

  29. alex walker 11 years ago

Mr f. What do think of this match fixing thing? Was at the liverpool game that nite and it didnt look like a game that was fixed. Plus i went to budapest for return and that didnt either. Liverpool won both games 1 nil but it wasnt that they gave them a hammering! I dont think that you can fix a game of football.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Alex, I think it’s rife as they say and disagree with you about not being able to fix a game. It can be done if you have a ref or a couple of players involved. I’ve heard of ways it’s been done -mostly at low-profile games – and some of the sums involved. Remember it’s not always about the result, it could be a red card, a certain number of corners, an over goals market or even a penalty being awarded. We had a story in the Record today about a min tournament involving Estonia and in the two games played all seven goals were penalties. Estonia reported the ref and after an investigation he was banned. Apparently he was trying to ensure both games had at least three goals and kept awarding pens for nothing. The Liverpool games seem strange but maybe the bets were on the unders and somehow it was played out but those being paid to make sure it happened.

  30. John 11 years ago

Just seen the front page of todays Record, some fine looking women on it…then again it’s probably the same one in 3 different poses :-)
